Why should I be jealous of Ifeanyi when am trying so hard to help him spend his money d way he wants to?.U aren't making much sense,u know. But for coming from Nnewi,we don't even have any other thing in common.
So tell me,why would I be jealous of him?.
Btw,u are yet to state whether what I wrote earlier on on this thread be true or not.
Nwanna hapu ife ahu biko. Anyi wu nde Nnewi ma onwe anyi ofuma. You can tell that to outsiders. I won't say more on this.
Your method of dealing with the guy shows your inner feelings. It is NOT HIDDEN to sharp eyes. It is one thing to not support the guy; it is entirely another to work from within to destroy his campaign. This is Igbo mans worst attribute. You develop the worst stratagem for your own brother, but turn into a dense fool/coward to others.

Here we go again. undecided

Reasonable Nigerians call for soveriegn national conference to discuss Nigeria's basis of existence.
A northerner threatens war to frighten some southerners.
Igbo man calls his bluff.
Some so called minority people rushes to defend the northerner.
The issues remain undiscussed and the nation stays stagnant.

What makes current situation totally senseless is that we have a "minority" president from "SS", and the nation's current violence in the north is principally because of this fact.
Pray, how can ANY rational "minority" human being even remotely align with the same people that see him as second class citizen, someone not fit to be president of this country?
This is why I still don't buy the current setup that dumps Edo people (and some delta people) into "SS", because they are not really "SS". Some of them are even northerners (muslims), so how can they speak for "SS".
In my book, "SS" is Akwa Ibom, Cross rivers, Rivers, Bayelsa and tiny parts of Delta.
I bet you that if Jonathan were from Edo state or even Delta state, some of these so called "SS" people from that area will not be indirectly supporting a northerner threatening war on the rest of us just because we want Nigeria negotiated and founded properly.

As for Igbo needing other people to stand in independence, only a deluded fool would think that.
An Igbo only nation will be world beaters any day. cool

asha 80: you know what i mean...no need for long talks.
Honestly I have no idea what you mean. You know me, I speak straight.
If you are one of those insulting Anambra state because Ifeanyi Uba is contesting the elections, then you should cease from doing that because he is an Anambra state citizen, and meets constitutional and statutory requirements to vie for the post.

When people come here to say something like "if Anambra people elect this man, then Anambra has lost my respect, this and that, blah blah..", they insult ALL Anambra sons. cool

Some of us believe that going by what we know now, Ifeanyi Uba is not worse than Peter Obi in "jipiti".

The Soludo affair opened our eyes well well.

I keep asking, WHERE IS SOLUDO?

PoliticsRe: Massive Turn Out Of Supporters To The Flag Off Campaign Of Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah. Vid by Onlytruth(m): 10:48pm On Sep 21, 2013
One FACT about politics is that PEOPLE (not inanimate objects) make the final decisions about who should rule over them.
Some of the arguments being made against Ifeanyi Uba is insulting to Anambra state (HIS OWN STATE) and Nnewi (his town).

We were all in Nigeria when Chief Moshood Abiola won the presidential elections. If not for IBB and his plans to rule forever, Abiola would have become president and nothing would have happened. Meanwhile Abiola had a VERY BAD reputation spanning decades before he won that election. But one thing I respect the Yoruba for is that they know where to draw the lines. Once Abiola jumped into presidential race, ALL his sins where forgiven, and he got MAXIMUM support from most Yoruba. Abiola was fleecing Nigeria and owing a lot of debts too, but he was protected by the Yoruba elite and intelligentia. Had Abiola been Igbo, he would have been thrown to the wolves by his Igbo brothers (out of so called righteous anger which is often burn out of jealousy). When Yoruba tell us that we are "unsophisticated" in politics, we take offence, but they speak the truth. Truth hurts!

I will say this again. Ifeanyi Uba is more than qualified (going by Nigeria's constitution) to contest for the guber seat in Anambra state.
The only true recourse anyone opposing his candidacy has is to not vote for him at the polls. Folks should really cease and desist from insulting Anambra state and her peoples. Jealousy has much more to do with their hate of Uba than holy anger.
No one is decieved by these angers!
Nuff said.

Meanwhile, WHERE IS SOLUDO MY CANDIDATE? Answer: Disqualified by a selfish sitting governor. FACT! cool
PoliticsRe: For Those That Love Nigeria: Beware Of These Dangerous Men! by Onlytruth(m): 10:32pm On Sep 21, 2013
noblezone: When Mr. President (like a good leader) was being cautious over the Boko Haram menace, the so called "opposition" were wagging their mouth, calling him names!

He requested for dialogue, Boko Haram and their sponsors refused!
He offered pardon, Boko Haram laughed him to scorn and claimed that rather it is Jonathan and Nigeria that needs pardon from Boko Haram.
When diplomacy and negotiations was not helping matters, he declared a state of emergency to the relief many!

Yet these social misfits in the name of "opposition" stood against him!

1. Buhari
2. Tinubu
3. Amaechi and his NGF
4. Ango Abdulahi
5. Lai Mohammed.

Amongst all, Amaechi is an exception because he is using the NGF as a tool of the "opposition"!
Nigerians should check the list of those behind Amaechi and his unclad dance at the market square!

While we are calling of a National Conference to discuss the Nationality of Nigeria, Amaechi and his gang belief that if

The minister of finance will just resign, then all will be well.

These men are DANGEROUS and those patronizing them are the true enemies of Nigeria!

These men are their likes and their nefarious activities are part of the real reasons some of us want Biafra!
It is true that I have no love for Nigeria anymore, but while I still answer Nigeria under duress, it is my duty to point this out:

2015 is fast approaching

Beware of Amaechi and his likes!
Beware of anyone who stood against the state of emergency!

emm Ebuka, Ebuka, please make sure I have enough data subscription,
I don't want to miss radio Biafra by 7.00pm
grin grin

My broda I tire o. Nigeria is truly a confusing entity. She is very difficult to embrace with all the thorns and spikes protruding from every angle.
It seems as if anyone who TRULY wants to love Nigeria cannot do so, try hard as they may.
The only ones that "love" the country only do so because they own oil blocks or are part of those who cornered power after the civil war, and want to retain that power by hook or crook.

What you see Jonathan fighting against are these two groups. They fear TRUE CHANGE.
My consolation is that the whole world is changing fast, and Nigeria cannot miss that change one way or another.

I will not support evil either, however keep in mind that honey comes from bees, not butterflies.
Some flowers are actually carnivores (they eat flesh); they blossom in the sun waiting for a naive bird to perch on them, and then trapping the birds and digesting them right away.
Peter Obi has been that carnivorous flower, while Ifeanyi Uba may be the bee.
Public business is not the same as private business, but you need DRIVE to succeed in both.
No one can deny that Ifeanyi Uba has drive. It is left to us to checkmate him and make sure he delivers if he wins.
He has no government experience and hence would be easier to check, than someone with an 8 year term ex-governor as godfather showing him how to maneuver our money without being caught.
I fear Obiano more than Ifeanyi Uba! cool

One thing for sure is that he will at least be his own man.

manny4life: What major cities like Nnewi and Onitisha need is "broad authority" to raise it's revenue and mayors who's responsibilities are infrastructures like roads, transportation, schools, and social facilities. This is how it's done in big cities, Nnewi has potential and thus cannot wait on govt to give it everything. I cannot wait to serve my people, enough of this gibberish.
My brother I don't know, Nigeria is a conundrum with no direction.
There was a time in Nigeria when "Urban Councils" ruled the towns like Onitsha. They were very effective.
Now you have one governor sitting in far away Awka (or Abuja as in Peter Obis case) to corner ALL the money (both statutory allocations and internally generated revenues) and does NOTHING (if he is not statching in it his bank for interests). No money trickles down to the city councils or even LGAs.
What Nigeria needs is a sovereign national conference. Nothing else.
Whatever comes must come after that conference.
BTW I stand with you in your plans. Just let me know what I can do to help. Jisie ike nwanne!

biafranqueen: I agree with you 100% these commissioners are useless. Every Mayor can be responsible for the development of education, transportation, health, commerce, etc; What was done in 8 years is nonsense and nothing to brag about. Are you in the states? The reason I ask is that this can only come from outside of the country. We the Nnewi diaspora know what needs to be done, we have higher standards and less fear of speaking up. We can no longer sit back and wait for our people to act we must hold these leaders accountable and expose those that are stealing and doing half a$$ jobs on what they do develop. We must demand transparency and accountability!
Nwanne m nwanyi I thought you were castigating me on the other thread because I rejected Obi and Obiano for another 8 years.

Ok, I've gone through the whole thread and can't see anything different from what we've seen before.
I wanted to see Onitsha internal roads, or Awka. Nnewi is known to me.

My summary is that the development I've seen so far under Obi is precisely why I don't want him to impose Obiano on us.
We need to pick our governor by ourselves.

We need a new paradigm in Anambra state!

kingbang: You are a pathetic joke nwokem! Calling Ifeanyi Ubah credible makes you look silly sir, so learn how to differentiate between your emotions and fact! Ifeanyi Ubah is a crook with questionable character who has no plans for Anambra State. God wont allow the tout to use our money to pay off his staggering debts!
You insult logic by calling others emotional when you didn't even read my post before launching an ad hominem attack on me.
Whether you like him or not, fact remains that Ifeanyi Uba is currently running the most visible and successful campaign today in Anambra state.

Vote for him or not, he may win.

As for me, SOLUDO remains my candidate (if Peter Obi's evil plans to keep him out fails, and he manages to contest), win or lose.
However, if Soludo is kept out of the elections, I MAY vote for Ifeanyi Uba! cool

Obiano should NEVER get the vote of any SMART Anambra man. Peter Obi should come out and contest for a third term instead, and get thoroughly beaten at the polls this time, since we know him now (and Ojukwu is dead).

If Ifeanyi Uba continues to run an organized and disciplined campaign as he is currently doing till November, I MAY hold my nose and vote for him!
Now go call police on me.

I have more to say later, but I will wait for now.
PoliticsRe: Obi Wasted N2tr Of Anambra Funds - Dr Ngige by Onlytruth(m): 3:11am On Sep 17, 2013
Before Soludo's disqualification, I would have doubted the figures being bandied here by Ngige; but the desperation with which Peter Obi is trying to foist his stooge on Anambra makes me to give serious consideration to these figures.
Obi's desperation shows that he has something to hide.
So, these figures may well be true!
Anambra state does not look like where N2 trillion was spent.

Odenigbo Aroli: Exactly where you belong, with Uba.
I have noticed something about Ndi Nnewi ,of late. A lot of them are secretly supporting Ifeanyi Uba,thinking Omanbala can be fooled. I warn you lots, keep a low profile so that what happened to Onitsha people will not happen to you....Adi ama ama Onitsha gwali Obosi ! Anambra is a very powerful state and nobody can hold her to ransome!
Nwanne you see how low you have descended just because Peter Obi promised to cede the governors seat to your zone in Anambra?
I warned people like you who were supporting that seed of division to desist then, but you did not listen. undecided

You are now suddenly accusing ALL Nnewi people of "secretly supporting Ifeanyi Uba" as if any Nnewi man needs to hide before supporting Uba.
Your anger is misdirected nwanne; your anger should be reserved for Peter Obi who put a knife of disunity in our state by unscrupulously disqualifying the most qualified APGA candidates (Soludo and Obaze) just to allow him foist his stooge on us.
Yes, umu Anambra are not fools; we know what Obi did, and it will not be forgiven him. Infact Obi should not be forgiven by ANY TRUE IGBO SON. cool

As for Ifeanyi Uba, he is a citizen of Anambra state, and he is more than qualified to contest for the seat. Anyone who wants to support him or vote for him does not need to hide to do so.
As things stand in Anambra gubernatorial elections today, he seem to be the only one with a COMPLETE campaign; not propped by anybody.

Heck he seems the most credible of the lot so far in light of all the divisions in APGA and PDP, and Ngige's huge gaffe on the deportation issue.

If I were to vote today, I may hold my nose and vote for him, and do so OPENLY cool

The stakes are far higher than that, believe me. What is at stake is that APGA may lose to APC. Do you know what that means for Obi and Jonathan?
Anambra is not like you think. People there are fiercely independent minded.
Though Ngige shot himself in the leg by belonging to the WRONG PARTY, and supporting the maltreatment of the same people that sent him to the senate, BUT if APGA fields a poor candidate (Obi's handpicked as you allege), Ngige can still win.

I won't be surprised if this news is denied even tomorrow.

Seriously this school of thought that PDP is hated in Anambra is false. PDP has 2 senators without a sitting governor and some house of reps and assembly seats too. Anambra hates Chris Uba and not PDP! PDP lost to Peter obi previously because of internal problems which made many of the candidates to withraw support for him. They have the financial war chest. Don't be surprised when PDP wins Anambra in the absence of Soludo. If anything Anambra hates APGA because of obi and this can only be savaged by Soludo
I am compelled to agree with about 70% of your point above. The part I disagree with is the PDP part. PDP will pay dearly if Soludo is schemed out. We are watching. If it turns out that Jonathan is not trusting of the APGA in the absence of Obi, and wants to kill APGA indirectly (which I truly doubt), then Anambra voters will maliciously vote for Ngige and then vote the same way against Jonathan and PDP in 2015. They will blame PDP and Jonathan.

Soludo remains the solution! Our people are so gullible sometimes to not spot a gambit. undecided

I will borrow from the Great Dee Mbakwe of Imo State when he asked his political opponents; "o wuru na Mbakwe agaghi achi, o wu nna unu ga achi?" -if Mbakwe does not rule, is it your fathers that will rule? LOL cheesy grin grin

This election will dictate who carries the SE in 2015 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS, mainly because of human bandwagon tendency. I keep making this point. The rest of the SE is watching very closely, and hoping prayerfully that Soludo emerges the governor through APGA. That will allow APGA to rise from its ashes. If APGA commits suicide, the SE people will be for takers, mainly influenced by their governors.

The people of Anambra are really for two candidates -Soludo or Ngige.

My political third sense tells me that this cannot happen. But if it does happen, I will still follow Soludo.
I believe in THE MAN, not necessarily his party (depending). I used to believe in Ngige too and would have followed him to any party should Soludo not be in the running, until I found out that his loyalty is not with Anambra people but with his party chieftains some of who committed egregious crimes against Ndigbo.

So, on Soludo I stand rukwaa echi! cool cool cool

This thread is so beautiful, and I'm so proud of Ndigbo here. smiley

Yes like I said sometime earlier in this thread, Enugu is our heartbeat. Though there were careless politics played by shortsighted and selfish people from the past, it should not dent our love and commitment to this city.

BTW I noticed that anytime there are talks of unfair dislocation or dispossession of non-indigenes anywhere in Nigeria, there is ALWAYS an attempt to defend it, by citing an earlier causative injustice that sowed the seeds of the subsequent reaction. The Ikwerre are best at that stratagem -"Igbos displaced us before the war, we are only taking back our lands and resources". undecided

All I have to say to such talk is "onye choro idina nwunye nna ya dina ya, ya asizina na nwanyi na ebughari onye ya n'ihu ya" -a man who wants to sleep with his fathers young wife should do so without excuses instead of saying that the woman was walking around the house naked!
Bro Nightshift take note! cheesy

Let us forget the past BUT vow to develop a totally different mindset that put Ndigbo as a group first before putting local things ahead.

BTW my town Nnewi has been trying to excel in auto industry for some time. We welcome others to compete with us in that.

Enugu shall be our gateway to the world. So help us God. Amen. cool
