^^ All hail the great Aro! ![]() @Ekt-bear So, you didn't know that African kingdoms never built on physical structures but human structures? I think Ezeuche answered excellently by citing the Zulu empire. If the whites never witnessed it or fought the zulus, they probably wouldn't even know the kingdom existed. As for the Igbo, there was the Nri, which spread beyond Igboland, though it was not an empire. It was more of a priesthood binding huge swathes of ancient Igbo land. The structures are in the form of human institutions some of which survive till this day. My guess is that those African kingdoms would have subsequently copied the whites and arabs to build walled cities to check invaders. The Igbo heartland was too hostile to invaders due to the dense forests which only allowed the few travelled Igbo merchants to know about the existence of other Igbo groups. Why build a wall when you have agbo ugiri nze ( a very thick forest surrounding my town in the olden days)? |
Posted by: naijaking1 I am scared now Coolhahahahaha hehehehe! rotfl! Spot on! ![]() |
I cannot situate a president Buhari in the Nigerian development discourse in 21st century. PERIOD. The man is an antiquity, and a dictator with a background capable of attempting life presidency. Never mind all these talks of serving only one term. I ain't buying it! ![]() Before Obasanjo, such life presidency fears were unfounded. But after the failure of third term, Nigeria should beware of bringing back ex-military leaders. Now, if you throw in Buhari's duplicity in war against corruption (after his coup in 1984), and his skewed location of PTF projects, what you have is a potential life president who is also an ethnic and religious bigot; a double whammy for the nation at this critical time. Ain't time for gambling in naija. Shine ya eyes well well. ![]() |
^^ LOL @ OBJ is Igbo plant. ![]() The man is there as the bulwark of Nigerian politics. Love him or hate him, even Ikemba respects him and calls him "omoba". You guys should value him for what he is. My point anyway is that for Buhari to plan life presidency as I suspect he would be tempted, OBJ is in the way. Abacha tried to do that but couldn't finish his "work" before he was snagged. Buhari envy's Abacha's records. ![]() |
Posted by: ekt_bear Wait a second. So you are saying Buhari will not spare Gbenga Daniel, Alao-Akala, Bukola Saraki, Obasanjo, Bode George, etc, etc and other corrupt governors/political leaders who plundered Yorubaland?Nah! apart from OBJ, the rest are dregs. My list would include Tinubu, Adenuga, Otedola (conduits for laundered money), Obasanjo, and Fashola. Yes Fashola! You think say the guy no dey steal too? He is working but I suspect that his hands also frequent the till. The strategy would be to eliminate as many political assets in your area as possible using the pretext of war against corruption; those who can challenge his life presidency plans in the future. As for OBJ, you don't know what you have until you lose him. For your information, I see him as the Ojukwu in the west (though he cannot go toe to toe with the Ikemba himself, nevertheless, he is still there). ![]() Buhari will go after him first, then, after he has consolidated himself, he would go after the rest. In the East, he has only very FEW people to go after in Igbo land without triggering another civil war. ![]() So, be wise in this election. ![]() |
ekt_bear You better advise your brothers to start preparing for the Seme border or the gallows, because I hear that the Taliban spares no looters. They kill them old fashion way. ![]() |
To decode Buhari: ObJ (dictatorship + life presidency) + Sharia + sectional chauvinism = Buhari QED. ![]() For me, I'm just watching. The devil's advocate tells me that Nigeria must divide through war or peacefully, but I'm hoping that I'm wrong. Some of Buhari's supporters don't believe in Nigeria. |
What these Buhari goons don't understand is that OBJ's rule between 1999 - 2007 changed a lot of things in Nigeria, and opened a lot of eyes. Before OBJ, no one ever thought of becoming a life president in Nigeria, which is always a tendency by military or ex-military leaders throughout Africa. Obasanjo proved that such a thing can happen in Nigeria, and folks like Buhari must have seen these and nodded quietly. Mark my word, Buhari will attempt LIFE presidency if he ever wins. Then, we shall see how long the country will stay together as one. I will repeat it again, some of the people supporting Buhari here don't, or no longer believe in One Nigeria. All these things will become apparent soon. ![]() |
Frankly, sometimes I wish that Buhari would win this election so that these Buhari goons in southern Nigeria will see something worse than Abacha. They may have a LIFE PRESIDENT in their hands soon. Just wait and watch! ![]() If they think Abacha killed some of their leaders, wait until Buhari takes over. I will hear your cries soon. They should remain focused on Bakare who will NEVER succeed Buhari. ![]() Umu ewu! ![]() |
^^ So, 70% is not bad enough for you? Of course it won't be! Do I expect anything less from a Buharist. ![]() |
All pro-Buhari i d i o t s here are nothing more than resolute diarrhea poops and stinky farts! Relics of a long forgotten era in Nigeria. ![]() When you corner them logically, they resort to insults. Tell me why I should support a Taliban to lead Nigeria in the 21st centrury, and all they keep shouting is some anti-corruption myth. ![]() What is more corrupt than locating 80% of all federal projects in one section of the nation, totally or almost totally ignoring the areas generating the funds in the first place. ![]() All these sick green pukes are not more intelligent than their 19th century candidate! ![]() |
@userlist The mistake folks like you make is to assume that Nigeria's greatest problem is graft/theft. Well, those are big, but our greatest problem is INJUSTICE, when a section of the country sees itself as the lord of the country. Look at the presidential material that they want us to vote for -a half educated military dictator. This is Nigeria, the most powerful black nation on earth, with the highest number of black graduates worldwide; yet a non-graduate is being presented as electable. ![]() Pray, on a fair platform, could GEJ and Buhari discuss policy issues with the same level of understanding? NO! I know that education is not all in leadership, but it HELPS A LOT. When we have passed this level whereby a semi-literate would be using his sections population advantage to climb the top echelon ahead of a more educated and balanced counterpart from a minority zone, only then can we even discuss corruption and the like. It is too early in the day. For now, JUSTICE FIRST! ![]() Vote GEJ. ![]() |
LOL @ Ibime. If you set the example by avoiding your own wife, he may copy you. You think say dem de speak English for bed. |
Posted by: userlist I'm amazed at Nigerians for supporting ineptitude. (GEJ)Yea right! ![]() You want us to replace your alleged pick pocket with a proven single minded, mean, frowning and "never laughing" armed robber. I call that reverse smartness. ![]() You want us to replace your Robin Hood with Adolf Hitler.I dey laff! At least under GEJ, money dey waka for Naija road. Business man go see am! Under mister Taliban, na for Damaturu you go see am o! South go turn to desert, north go turn to rain forest. Yes, use your head, think before you vote! ![]() |
^^ The truth is that Buhari is like a stiff selfish rod that can never put down his own agenda. The man has ZERO political and diplomatic skills; a true relic of the 19th century. ![]() What baffles me is how some educated folks are even looking his way at all. Buhari cannot make two sentences without shooting himself or other Nigerians in the feet. Consensus or not, he and his will eat a humble pie soon. ![]() |
Do folks really think that his man can change? LOL. He never pretended to be anything else. Force, and extremism =100% Diplomacy and sanity= 0% ![]()

That there are Nigerians here questioning this directive speaks volumes. In any case, the president has spoken! This policy is even late in my opinion. This should have been the extant policy always. Tribalism will kill Nigerians. Look at this "inoki" by the name of Eko-ile almost committing suicide because his country may soon start developing technologically. Abeg whoever feeds this mountain gorilla (inoki-ile) should withhold food from it for a couple of days to teach him a lesson in basic logic. ![]() |
hehehe! ![]() I actually thought this was April fool ![]() Not to worry bros, the TALIBAN no go win. Lai lai! ![]() |
Just the calm presence of Jonathan is very reassuring to investors. Investors may be scared off by a stiff Buhari ![]() |
Nigeria's economy is definitely growing, and I don't need the UK govt. to tell me that. What folks don't realize is that the best president for Nigeria right now is the one that stays out of the way for the law to take its course. Jonathan has been doing that without making any noise. I want to know what Buhari would do if an Emir or Sultan or some high imam is involved in some illegal stuff. I'd be hard pressed to believe he won't intervene to save the "dignity of Islam". Nuff said. GEJ ALL THE WAY! ![]() |
^^ You are half aboki HALF COW. ![]() |
Alj Harem "uche" is an undercover aboki who likes claiming Igbo. His mission is to maintain permanent division is eastern Nigeria, and also to incite other groups in Nigeria against Ndigbo. A real enemy. That is why he fears and hates Onlytruth most. ![]() |
@edicolove You are an intelligent person. I can bet my money that majority of those shouting Buhari are doing so out of tribalism or sectionalism. Yet, same folks will accuse GEJ supporters of same thing. GEJ is a test for Nigerian nationhood as far as I can say because he is from a minority group. Frankly speaking, Buhari is no match in terms of leadership, neither is Ribadu. But we are being shouted down because Buhari is from the North. |
@Alj Harem You remain a genocidist, you and whoever you are working for. You have on several occasions here on nairaland called for Yorubas to kill Igbos en masse. You have even repeated it here today. What you don't know is that only a tree in Igboland would not know that you and your colleagues don't regard us as Nigerians, and it has nothing to do with us. You are hypocrites who scheme to exterminate all the oil producing areas. That is why you are always afraid when you see any sign of Eastern unity, even if a temporary one. I always thank God that I am from a majority tribe in Eastern Nigeria, because it would take the end of the world to wipe my people off. We are here to stay. Today, we are Nigerians, but if you keep cheating us, we will disintegrate that country whether you like it or not. Tell that to your co- genocidists. GEJ is really enjoying our support because I believe he earned it. Now go hang! ![]() |
They want one Nigeria but on their own terms. Laughable! |
Posted by: Areosapien Errr, Correction -- People who scream "East" are heartless bigots like EzeUche - a man so deeply blinded by his shameless tribalist mentality, that he is a sharp misrepresentation of what true Igbos like me stand for. If you think I'm lying, just go around and try mixing with some real sensible Igbos you meet in real life. With time, you'd realize these Igbos despise people of EzeUche's lifestyle.MY friend calm down. Ezeuche never pretended to be speaking for all Igbos. He is only expressing his views. I don't even think you bothered to read this read from the beginning before making all these incendiary remarks. Onye na anghi ebe eniri ozu n'esi na ukwu abo ya! Just read up first and apply your mind to the debate, instead of attacking folks here. Thanks! ![]() |
Posted by: ekt_bear Alright. If you believe that zoning is a fraud, then I understand your POV. However, I'd like to point out that many of your own homies (including Eziachi) support the zoning principle and believed in it. [It is funny how some of you keep raising the name of my brother Eziachi to these debates without even understanding his beliefs. Guy doesn't even believe in Nigeria. It is like asking Dede1 his views about how to solve all these problems. He would tell you his solution: total disintegration of Nigeria. ![]() |
Posted by: Alj Uche why should he support a man because he is from his zone, does that make any sense you you onlytruthYour brother Buhari is the Hitler and you are the Nazi because both of you are intolerant of Nigeria's diversity. You shout one Nigeria but sneak Nigeria into OIC (organization of Islamic Countries). You impose sharia on Nigerians, and kill those you resist you in Jos. You committed genocide in Biafra and is planning now to use military force to crush MEND. You think we don't know? LOL! |
Ezeuche, just ignore PhysicsHMD, he has an agenda here. I really pity being a minority in Nigeria because your worst enemies are your fellow minority tribes. Pathetic. He is from Edo and doesn't support his fellow so called SS brother. |
Posted by: ekt_bear All the minorities in southern Nigeria were plopped into the SS zone. There is a rotation principle which seems to be the soul of the PDP. If this principle had been maintained, presumably the SS would have gotten a turn at the presidency. It is a fact, go through Nigerian electoral history and show me when your people voted for someone other than Yoruba either as president or vice president. It never happened. ![]() Your support for Buhari now is because he picked Bakare. FULLSTOP. I cannot educate you on why the zoning being bandied by the North is a fraud. I don't have time for that. You have to go and research that yourself. Sorry. Bottomline is that if GEJ loses this election, there is a very good chance that NO minority from southern Nigeria will EVER become Nigerian president again; if Igbo step forward to act and behave like Yoruba, it will never happen. |
^^ Whatever, you are free! ![]() For the record, nobody invaded another in Eastern Nigerian history. That ends my debate with you today. BYE. |
Posted by: PhysicsMHD lol, that was a pretty slick retort.I wouldn't say that if I were you (a western minority) considering their antecedents under the defunct western Nigeria. Igbo say that a child whose father was killed by a water buffalo never drinks palm wine with a buffalo horn. ![]() |
