My people, OBJ now wants to die for his fatherland. Please read the above story. Make una helep us tell am say if he die now, he has nothing to lose or regret. As far as I'm concerned, the death of OBJ for any cause will not amount to much in the nations polity; so, if he wants to die, he should go and die in Ota Farm, and be buried there - maybe Bird Flu will help accelerate this!!

He has spent 8 solid years in reforming the country. All he has to show for the eight years are:

- Corruption at its peak in the Petroleum Ministry
- Gangsterism, thugism, intimidation via the use of state security apparatus
- Selective persecution, and unjust killings
- Double didgit inflation rate
- Unemployment
- Bribery at the highest level (Ghana-must- go-bagism at the NA and Police)
- Extra judicial killings
- Hike in fuel prices
- Comatose education sector
- Dailapidated and corruption enmeshed aviation sector
- Hungary policemen, in both rank and file
- Chicanery from basketmouths - praise singers and bootlickers
- Unjust removal, through unconstitutional means of elected public officials
- Over bloated, nepotic, and despotic array of special and senior special assistants

The list goes on and on,

So, if he wants to die for this country, let all that he has done in the last eight years kill him. Then he will be accorded a heroic welcome to the other side.

And now, I have a truckload of allegations against OBJ. Let him clear himself of all these using EFCC before he starts making any noise.

1. The forgery of the Electoral Act of 2002;

2. Refusal to implement the successive budgets passed by the National Assembly;

3. Willful and serial refusal to abide by court orders, including those of the Supreme Court, such as withholding of Lagos State Local Council funds

4. Reckless expenditure not appropriated by the National Assembly, such as the over One Billion Naira spent on the defunct National Political Reform Conference;

5. Military invasion of Odi, Zaki Biam, Warri and, of recent, Yenagoa;

6. State sponsored gangsterism, such as the abduction of the Governor of Anambra State and the burning of all symbols of authority in the State by the President's own henchmen; and

7. Corrupt inducement of members of the National Assembly with huge sums of money to influence them perpetrate such acts as removal of their Speaker, leading tot he embarrassing display of a mountain of cash next to the House of Representative's symbol of authority- the mace."
Emasculation and subverted other political parties in pursuit of the third term agenda

8. The alleged attempt by the presidency to impeach the speaker of the House of Representatives Aminu Masari for dissociation himself from the alleged third term bid

9. The subjection of Nigerians to an unprecedented level of corruption, poverty, unemployment and general absence of security, in the name of economic reforms

10. Security agents being used to terrorise opponents of the regime in the name of war against corruption.

11. Where is the President's cousin and erstwhile Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Defence who was taken to court on charges of stealing N400 million of public funds, but whose case was mysteriously and unceremoniously withdrawn without recourse to due process and to the rule of law?

12. What investigations have they conducted into the N300 billion allegedly spent on the construction of federal roads over which the President, himself expressed open embarrassment?

13. where is the N10 billion earmarked for poverty reduction under the Poverty Alleviation Programme?;

14. Where is the final report of the investigation into the Nigerian Port Authority and where are the billions allegedly embezzled by cronies and close associates of the President? I heard the report is out now, but what has he done about it?

15. Recently, the administration's anti-corruption watchdog, the EFCC, openly admitted what everybody else knows, that there is no transparency in the operations of Central Bank of Nigerian (CBN), Nigeria Port Authority (NPA) and Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC). The CBN and NNPC are under the direct supervision of the President. What happened to due process and the so-called extractive industry transparency initiative? Is the President above the law?

16. Although the President himself has been the Minister of Petroleum since 1999 and considering that oil accounts for an overwhelming proportion of our national revenue, why has the President never presented a memo to the Federal Executive Council in respect of allocation of crude oil, importation of refined products or other public procurement contracts?

17. Where did the PDP find moral justification for returning a self-confessed election rigger, an arsonist and one of the President's well-known henchmen back into the Party and making him a member of its Board of Trustees?

18. Why are there so many embarrassingly rich people among the President's aides, whose source of income are unknown?

19. Where is the richest person to ever retire as the Chief Executive of NNPC under questionable circumstances and what are his sources of wealth? Why, unlike the immediate past Inspector-General of Police, is he still walking the streets? and

20. Where did the President's son get the money to buy an expensive mansion in New York?
PoliticsRe: Efcc Traces N62m To Alamieyeseigha Daughter’s Bank Account by ono(m): 10:34am On Mar 01, 2006
Oga Jakumo, please correct me o o. How much did OBJ steal to buy the mansion for his son. In any case, stealing is stealing. There's no reason for the Kettle to call the Pot black.
PoliticsRe: Efcc Traces N62m To Alamieyeseigha Daughter’s Bank Account by ono(m): 9:26am On Mar 01, 2006
OK. Let OBJ explain to Nigerians and all, how his son, got $50 million dollars to buy a mansion in New York, just a couple of days after graduating from a school in the US?

Comparing the N62 million to $50million, one could see that there's more to this matter than meet the ordinary eyes here, abeg make una chill out!!!

Surely, this is a case of the kettle calling the pot black.

Lady giggite,
All these your yarnings - me I no understand o! Anyway, lets take it that you just don't like Niger Deltans running the oil industry even when they are qualified to do so.

I said earlier in one of my posts that all that Alami and other Niger Deltans governors stole is a drop in the mighty ocean of stashed away billions and zillions that people like Abacha, OBJ, Diya, Danjuma, Bamaiyi, Babangida, Bode George, Abdulsalami and a host of other non-Niger Deltans have ever stolen in their life time. In fact they are the ones who taught the Niger Delta people how to steal.

My sister OPEN YOUR EYES and don't be deceived.

gigitte:
first i must tender apologies to anyone who believes i have shown a superiority complex, this is not true.
what does having relatives who work for oil companies reveal? these are my opinions based on what i have seen heard and observed
owo, what makes you think i am not a person from the niger delta?
please, point me to these appropriate forums where my posted opinions have been rehashed and debated, thanks
if in any way i signified that all niger deltans were lacking in skills forgive me? i do agree with you that a lot of niger deltans are at the top of the range. but do you honestly think that they could manage crude oil production right now, today, if it were left to themhuhfurthermore, assuming they could effectively and efficiently manage crude oil production today, what does that change? after all are these niger deltans in top positions at the forefront of the emancipation fight?
well and good if niger deltans are educationally advantaged. in reference to the quota system, i didnt say these people pusing to be hired were incompetent, rather a lot of times there are people with better skills and expericnce who are more suited to the job, yet they are passed over due to the quota, or even because these oil companies like to have expats.
Madam gigitte
Please listen to yourself. If a lot of Niger Deltan are at the top of the range in the oil companies, why do you think they cannot manage crude oil production, refining and sales if left to them?
I just don't understand, please explain. I cannot comprehend your logical reasoning in this regard.

Ynot:
Just like i said in another thread where the issue of oil and control came up, the solution is quite simply. Put a lock-down on digging, tapping, exploring, excavating, exporting and all the other exes on Nigerian crude oil for at least say 4-5 years. There will be no more money to steal, the niger deltans will no longer 'see' an oil contractor to kidnap. There will be peace even if  temporary. This time-out period will be used to re-think the way forward. Nigeria survived before the oil boom and we can't actually say that the discovery and subsequent income accrued has helped much. There are still countries out there, without oil i should say, living better life than majority of Nigerians. There are other untapped, somewhat forgotten ways money can be made in Nigeria. Nigeria as a nation has failed as far as oil income management and utilization is concerned. Lets try something else. We will one day exhaust this seemingly everlasting resource. If and when that happens, what are we gon do?
Ynot, I concur. Let the oil stop flowing for just 1 year. Patriotic MEND militia are capable of doing just that, and they've started already.

Mariory:
Over the past few months I've been following the situation in the N.Delta and have come to reliase that the region is indeed way too underdeveloped. But you also need to reliase that this kind of under-developement compared to the rest of Nigeria has occured over a number of decades. I think what is needed is a long term development plan.
Mariory, the Abuja Masterplan is currently being executed to the letter with the resources of the Niger Delta people. For peace to reign, let the Federal Authorities begin a massive 12 years developmental plans for all the core Niger Delta states. And they should be seen to be doing just that - massive development activities similar or of greater magnitude to Abuja, considering the fact that the ND is the goose that lays the golden egg.

We don't want some stereotype development commission.

You had better join a local assembly and be submitted to the authority there.

You are not wiser than God who gave us ministers.

Passage Ephesians 4:11,12,13

11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Otherwise, you will never experience true spiritual growth.
You do not understand me. All these divisions are caused mostly by greed on the part of men, who claim they have a calling from God. It is true that the Spirit said by their fruit ye shall know them. But the Bible says that:

2 Corinthians 11:14
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light

Personally, I'm weary of all these latter days preachers who are mostly after how to fill their pockets with the sweat of others. So I select assemblies that I attend. I don't just get glued to one of them like that. I try to distance myself from what I'll call Church Politics. I love hearing and reading the Word of God.

So, I go to congregations like DeeperLife Bible Church (the best I've seen so far), Souls Harvesters Ministry, Assemblies of God Church and of late, Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Chief Jakumo,
The Ijaw Egbesu gods listens. They will listen to us. Surely, these gods heard the Ijaws when they cried out to him over the neglect and deprivation of their areas. We will ask our beloved Ijaw brothers to appease their gods on Seuns behalf. And that god, being a reasonable one, will listen.

It's unfortunate that Seun does not believe in the existence of any god. We will do our best to appease them on his behalf. And if all fails, we will smuggle Seun out of the creeks -  if the gods get angry with him.
PoliticsRe: Open Invitation To Seun: Field Tour/vacation In The Niger Delta For Mr Admin. by ono(m): 10:04am On Feb 27, 2006
But Jakumo, OMG!! you sure have a very funny way of replying to posts. wow!!

Now, back to the issue at hand:
There's no recourse to the Nigerian Westerners other than visiting the Delta to have a feel of what's going on in there. Besides, it's not all killing, maiming and shooting that's going on in there. There are several other places of comfort in the Niger Delta.

Obudu Ranch
Abraka Resort
TINAPA

That's just to mention few of such popular sites.

But Seun's got to signify interests in visiting the Ijaw enclaves and see what's going on in there. We will tell our Egbesu Warlords to spare him. We will tell them that he's just going round their territory to appreciate the level of environmental degradation going on in there. And I believe they will spare him, just like they have a long history of cordial relationship with their guests.

So, Seun, fear not. Now, would you still want to visit the ND after this clarification?

@owo trying to make the rest of us feel bad about the condition in the Niger Delta won't work. At least not to those conversant with the region's politics. The question is: what has Niger delta's elites/leaders done for their own region? And the answer is Nothing. Absolutely nothing. And there has been quite many educated elites from that Niger delta but nothing to show for them. Now for example Gen. Alexandra Ogomudia, the present Chief of Defense Staff is the one responsible for bombing Niger delta villages presently; guess what he hails from that very Niger Delta. Nigeria's unofficial minister of petroleum is Dr. Edmund Maduabebe Daukoru who is also the present OPEC president also hail from Niger Delta. Guess what his views are on conditions in that region, nothing. No opinion. He is too busy attending to bigger oil business deal in Vienna. So you see what I'm saying? You can't ignore the complicity, intrigues, neglect and disinterest of the Niger delta leadership in the chaotic and wretched condition plaguing their region. Saro Wiwa was sadly a victim of such intrigues. The present 13% derivation formula while little is still enough to provide a minimum form of living for the people but you have to wonder where the money are going.
How do you want sane people to swallow all these crap?  I will reply you thoroughly later.

PoliticsRe: Nine Oil Workers Kidnapped In Niger Delta by ono(m): 1:57pm On Feb 23, 2006
This one is not for the fainthearted ND people on this site, it's for the bold ones:

Comrades of the Greatest Chicoco Republic,
We have to get our acts together now that the rod is hot and hit it hard to achieve our aims and objectives. Our enemies, are busy out there strategising on how to quell the uprising by patriotic elements amongst us, such as MEND, IYC, MOSIEND, MOSOP, IDU, UPU, UPF, etc etc. We cannot, and I repeat, we cannot allow then to succeed. Intelligence information reaching my desk here in Warri has it that very soon, they might send sophisticated artilleries to shell and exterminate us from our father lands - From Koko in Delta to our border with Cameroon, in present day Cross-River. They used our money to purchase these equipment, and now they want to use them against us. They will not succeed.

So, what do we do? First, we must realise that there's no other place on earth that we can call home except here in the ND. Nowadays, sitting down and watching events unfold in the comfort of our rooms and offices will not help solve our problems. Freedom does not come cheaply, it must be fought for and won. Ask the Americans, they will tell you this is true. Ask the South Africans, it's thesame story.We have to get our acts right and get ready to fight for our freedom.

The privilege few amongst us must provide all the needed resources to do grassroots awareness amongst our brothers in the villages and towns in the Niger Delta areas. We must begin to preach Love and Unity among the widespread ethnic nationalities among us. The infidels used this minor differences among us to the maximum when they set the Itsekiris against the Urhobos and Ijaws of Warri to cause mayhem, and inflict catastrophic damages to the town and the psyche of our people in the Warri axis. We cannot allow this to continue. We must work together and stay together if this struggle must succeed.

I will keep you all posted as events unfold, and as I draw out my next line of action.

Ono, has spoken from the Deep in Warri.

No doubt, blood will flow, and in fact blood has been flowing since the days of Isaac Adaka Boro, Ken Saro-Wiwa, Dikibo and a host of other freedom fighters in the creeks - ordinary people who believed their rights is being trampled on by insensitive and greedy lots at the nations capital in Lagos and Abuja. There's no need to tell us that one again. We've heard that over and over again.

But right now, it's time to return fire for fire. ''Operation No Mercy'' to thieves in the creeks of the Niger Delta.

And to think they killed innocent christians because of what was published by someone who is not a christian is the height of irresponsiblity on their part.

Surely, this is more than religion. It's deeprooted hatred for the Igbos and other southerners living in the Northern Nigeria.

I have always believed that this country as it is is lopsided. Splitting the country will do us more good than harm. It's time we split up. That's my candid opinion on this matter.

linus,
All that Alams stole is just a drop in the mighty ocean of accumulated, stashed away billions and zillions of naira dollars and Euros stolen by people like Babangida, OBJ, Abacha, Diya, Umaru Dikko, and others too numerous to mention. So, when you hear of people like Alams stealing, know that he got the idea from these wolves in sheep clothings.

The painful thing is that they have succeeded in corrupting our leaders in the Niger Delta too. These people came from far away dry, arid and perched lands to come and sow seeds of discord amongst us. Set brothers against brothers, towns against towns just to have unfettered access to the crude oil under our soil.

At the top echelon, they promulgate draconinan decress like the Land Use Act decree, Mineral and royalty rights etc etc meant to deny our people the right to their own resources. And when confronted about these things they tell us to keep up the dialogue approach, as if they are deaf.

The only language they hear is crisis, war and threats

Let the Army go and fight the terrorists in the creeks. And let us see who will lose in the end. People think the Niger Delta will be polluted. Well, the place is already polluted. So, of what use is crying wolf when there's none. These MEND people know how to go for the jugular - where it matters most, at the Crude Loading Terminal. That's where all the crude gets to before it's sold out. So, when they attacked the Terminal's CLP, know for sure that they are really after the where it matters most to the exploitative, lazy and lousy fools in Abuja, who do not even know what the colour of crude oil is.
