EducationRe: IMSU Expels 60 Students Over Poor Grades by Onyegecha(f): 6:45pm On May 24, 2013
While he is at it, i will like the prof to beam the light on the teaching staff of the institution because most of the lecturers are also half (or even quarter)- baked. It takes a half-baked teacher to produce a half-baked student.
It is a known fact that for most lecturers in Nigeria, and especially IMSU, their main job is to sell hand-outs and plagiarized books to unwilling students as well as receive sorting money. Let the cleansing start from the top, then i will say kudos to the good Prof.

''I don't know from the planet you exist but to the very best of my knowledge, you are not part of us cause you are clueless or else you will not be attempt to make yourself relevant when you are irrelevant cause your point were all pointless. People like you are the enemy of progress and will never see anything good coming up from someone who has choose to flush out hoodlums like you out of that wonderful state called Imo state. Your intention of deluding pure and innocent minds with fictitious and frivolous statement is a flop like that of a drop of bag of pure water on the floor.

Let me quickly state here for those who does not know the positive impact Rochas Okorocha has made in Imo State, He has virtually turned most of the rural areas in Imo State to township by setting up basic amenities such as construction of roads, underground drainage system and pipe born water and as I talk to you now, those project are ongoing project in various communities in Imo state. He has made an impact in Imo states that can NEVER be erased by any form of cheap propaganda. Rochas Okoro has been the only exiting Governor in Imo state that could be aggregated of similar proximity with Late. Hon. MBAKWE (the weeping governor). We should learn to encourage and advocate for those who has the interest of our mother land at heart.''

My dear, stop attempting to mislead people with blatant and wicked lies. Which part of Imo state are you talking about? You guys should stop comparing Rochas with Mbakwe before the latter stirs in anger and gives all of you and your chief of deceit some dirty slaps from the other world. Show me one single public tap that works in Imo state. Where is the underground drainage? Cheap propaganda has never saved anybody and will not save Rochas.
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Launches Youth Empowerment Programme by Onyegecha(f): 7:18am On May 22, 2013
I wish you guys will hold on before celebrating. The Rochas we know loves talking. He knows what people want to hear and tells them that. The experiences we have had since he came on board have made it imperative that we take everything he says with a pinch of salt. Examples- one hundred Naira and one hundred and fifty Naira daily stipend for all primary and secondary school students, respectively, twenty thousand Naira minimum wage for Imo workers, school uniforms, bags, school shoes, books, free education in the tertiary institutions in Imo state, etc All these and many more are yet to be fulfilled. His promises mean nothing to discerning Imolites because the man speaks before he thinks. If he fulfills even 40 percent of this present matter, that is to get forty percent of our young people employed, then i will doff my cap for him. Experience has taught me not to trust smooth talkers like Rochas.
PoliticsPlease Rescue Imo People From The Terror From Above. by Onyegecha(op): 7:41am On May 19, 2013
Why do Imo people panic so much once there is a sign of rain? Experience has taught them that the fear of rain is the beginning of wisdom.
Anytime there is rain, whether light or heavy rain, all roads in the state capital are congested instantly, setting the stage for a dose of torture for the distraught citizens. After waiting in vain for transport, most people resort trekking long distances to get to their homes. The thousands of heads (including very small children) i saw trekking from Owerri to Irette and Ogbaku axis, made me shudder. I wish one of the apologists of the rescue mission on this site would help us reach his principal and tell him that Imo State is in dire need of roads. Even when there is no rain, traffic jams have become a routine in the state capital. Most of the roads that were opened up for construction nearly two years ago are still in a messy state(WORSE THAN THEY WERE BEFORE THE BULLDOZERS CAME), as there is no effort to work on them and give the people some respite. Please rescue Imo roads, I beg.
PoliticsRe: IGBOS: Would You Vote Governor Rochas Owelle Okorocha As President? by Onyegecha(f): 7:19am On May 19, 2013
Nigeria is heading to destruction as it is now. Rochas should be voted in to complete the process of taking the country to the level of total collapse. After all, the country deserves to be shocked into realization of truth. So go ahead and vote the master of confusion to turn Nigeria into a state of craze(like he has done in Imo state, where no system is working and everyone is groping in the dark.) Good luck to the people's president project.
EducationIMSU Students Sacked For Poor Academic Performance by Onyegecha(op):

Abagworo, you must be a comedian like Rochas, except that the jokes you guys dish out are not funny at all. I have said it countless times here that Rochas is not idle in Imo state. He is working hard, but more than eighty percent of what he is doing is meaningless. He lavishes money on irrelevances like his birthday, his daughter's wedding, his anniversary his political rallies, endless stunts at the hero's square calling school children out of the classroom to come and hear his rhetorics, and does not give a hoot about the true development of Imo state.

Again his dubious tendencies have gone past speculation. The roads you just showed, for all you know, might be among the ones the contractor was tricked into building with his money and soon we might see him joining the league of those who will be walking the streets in protest.

Are you aware that the state of flooding in Imo has not been addressed two full years after he assumed office, rather through various irresponsible actions(like blocking the drains on both sides of the ware-house junction) and negligence(like not addressing the issue of effective drainage in Amakohia axis) he has aggravated the problem.

We are talking about over-all development and we want to see a leader that will understand the heartbeat of his people and not one who is concerned only about erasing poverty from his lineage. Imo people now understand how Okorocha defines rescue.

Finally, Abagworo, i think it is very improper for you to be arguing with people who live in Imo state over the state of their place. Visiting Imo state briefly or just passing through is not enough to assess the spate of development. The truth is that what we have seen so far from this administration is window-dressing. Let's hope he begins to address real issues(if he has any ideas what these are) before a stronger wind than the one that brought him into power blows him away.
PoliticsRe: Imo Civil Servants Strike Over Govt's Insensitivity To Their Welfare by Onyegecha(op): 8:18pm On May 13, 2013
Abagworo, i'm sure you know i have no problem with you. All i desire is that the truth should be given a breathing space. How can you sincerely tell me that what you want to use to prove that Rochas is transforming Imo state is Wetheral road, which has always been the best road in Owerri. Why all this running around Wetheral road when more than seventy-five percent of the roads in Owerri and environs are very very terrible?

Next you will tell me about Concord area which was already beautified by his predecessors. Rochas has built some structures in Imo state, but he has failed woefully in solving any real problem of the people and you know what, payday is fast approaching. GO TELL HIM.
PoliticsWhat Is The Political Relevance Of Language? by Onyegecha(op): 9:28am On May 13, 2013
I am not a linguist but i know that language is a powerful instrument of power. The English people understand this and that is why they made sure that they colonized not only our resources, but also our tongues. They took drastic measures to make us forget our languages and brag with theirs. They even branded our own languages vernacular(a very derogatory term). That is also why fifty-three years after our so-called independence, the best among us still visualize the world from their prism. That is also why English language is still accorded a pride of place in ALL institutions. Through language we all have been reduced to zombies speaking English, thinking English, buying English. When exactly are we going to wake up and start the process of undoing this harm? When will our leaders become passionate about developing indigenous languages? Is it really impossible to teach every school subject in Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Efik, Ijaw, Igala and so on? I just wonder.
PoliticsRe: South-south, South-east Governors Back Jonathan, Condemn Northern Terrorists by Onyegecha(f):
What did these governors say about their people that are trapped in the war-torn Northern Nigeria? Yes i know they are to blame for remaining there but is it really as simple as that? What are they coming back to do? Where are the industries that will absorb them? Is is not high time the governors resuscitated the textile factories, paper mills, shoe industries, agro-based industries, etc which have been comatose for years? What does it take to ensure that the roads in these regions are very good with or without the federal government? All the money these quack leaders siphon out of their state coffers will transform the region and encourage these our brothers who believed the erroneous gospel of one Nigeria and invested heavily in the North to come back home. I wish them success in their new-found love but above all, i wish they will be blessed with the wisdom to understand what true leadership is all about.

WE ARE DESPERATELY IN NEED OF HEROES!!
RomanceRe: My GF Treats Me Like A Master by Onyegecha(f): 8:33am On May 13, 2013
Please this is not a problem. You can turn it into a romantic sport with a little creativity. She treats you like a master today, you treat her like a mistress tomorrow. PoliticsRe: Imo Civil Servants Strike Over Govt's Insensitivity To Their Welfare by Onyegecha(op): 6:12pm On May 12, 2013
Cajetan, for how long do you and your boss expect the people of Imo state to rely on empty promises? Did you listen to yourself? Imo workers who have endured hardship under Rochas in various forms for so long should just fold their hands or roll out the drums to celebrate another vain promise? Haba, there should be a limit to stupidity.
PoliticsRe: Imo Civil Servants Strike Over Govt's Insensitivity To Their Welfare by Onyegecha(op): 7:53am On May 11, 2013

For your information, Imo people are wiser now. The keke drivers that he used to sweet-tongue into singing his praise in mass are up in arms against his draconian policies. The workers are on strike. ITC, ADAPALM, PENSIONERS, CONTRACTORS, MARKET WOMEN and countless other groups have shown their dissatisfaction publicly. So you see, my friend, whatever he used to blindfold our people is gradually losing its potency. Tell your boss that Imo people cannot keep quiet for much longer. We have been saying the truth on the streets of Owerri and all those who have eyes agree with the truth.
HealthNew Face Of Terror! New Shape Of Terror! by Onyegecha(op): 7:45am On May 10, 2013
I wonder why our society is very tolerant of nuisances that threaten our very existence. Noise is a silent killer that is fast claiming the lives of many people without making noise about it. Cases of hypertension, insomnia and ear infections are escalated by noise. What this means is that noise pollution has mental illness( the endpoint of insomnia) and stroke are linked to noise pollution. Deafness, temporary and permanent are also consequences of this menace. Why is it that the government is criminally silent about this deadly malady?

Why should a hotel play music at full blast in the middle of the night? Why should record dealers threaten the sanity of anyone who has the misfortune of staying around them? Why would heavy duty vehicles acquire terrorizing horns and use them to harass other road users? Why are these serious issues not given any attention? Action is required urgently, please!

PoliticsRe: Imo Civil Servants Strike Over Govt's Insensitivity To Their Welfare by Onyegecha(op): 7:05am On May 10, 2013
I think our problem in this part of the world is that we the led do not even know what to expect from our leaders, so our assessment of their performance is also flawed. Governance is not about display of hyperactivity but about leading the people to achieve a set goal. Rochas is not a leader of men from all we have seen in his two years' reign. He is too hasty to impress, so he makes promises that are clearly outlandish. If you remember, about a year ago, he was caught by the authorities in London, carrying a huge sum of money. The news was everywhere but when he returned(at the airport), he told newsmen that the money was meant for the floating of an airline for Imo state. The next thing we saw, he bought two private jets.(TRUMPETA NEWSPAPERS, Thursday) Till today, Imo state has no airline. If anyone has been carefully recording all of his empty promises, it would fill a book. He has destroyed all the structures of administration he met on ground. Can you imagine a situation where civil servants no longer operate with circulars because Okorocha is afraid of making written commitments? He prefers to issue oral directives which he quickly denies the moment he realizes it was wrong. IMO STATE IS NOT WORKING; NO SENTIMENTS. What is his health policy? A mirage he calls health at your doorsteps that nobody can access or account for. Any education policy? None, except to periodically and haphazardly pay school children money even after parents and other education experts have advised against that practice. HOUSING POLICY? TO RENDER AS MANY IMO PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE HOMELESS. So what achievements has he recorded beyond the shows he has carefully packaged to deceive the gullible? A gigantic school structure in the centre of Owerri, a few poorly done roads, most of them abandoned. City gates that gulped millions only to be abandoned. I hear he has built quality roads only in his place, Orlu and Ideato. Good luck to him, the abracadabra governor of Orlu State.
PoliticsImo Civil Servants Strike Over Govt's Insensitivity To Their Welfare by Onyegecha(op): 7:08pm On May 09, 2013
Workers in Imo state have defied threats by the state government and shut down the secretariats to protest government insensitivity to their welfare.
Their grouses among other things are
1. The government's refusal to pay workers in more than twenty parastatals, thereby rendering thousands of breadwinners insolvent.
2. Withholding promotion of workers and reversing promotions done by his predecessor
3. Refusing to pay some allowances- leave, overtime, etc.
A lot of confusion has enveloped the state workforce as some labour leaders are singing the same song as the state government.
Recall that a few days ago, the organized labour gave this same governor a controversial award of excellence. Talk of a state sitting on a keg of chaos.

PoliticsRe: Comedy Unlimited: Rochas Builds Freedom Square For Ventilation Of Anger by Onyegecha(f): 5:58pm On May 09, 2013
My brother, the condition of our state is pathetic and no one should play politics with it.
Is it not a wonder that the same workers that gave Rochas an award of excellence on May first shut down the offices one week later to demand their rights that Rochas and his cohorts have been sitting on? Who is deceiving who? PDP was branded people deceiving people when they held sway here. We have seen something more sinister than PDP. That is a true confession from someone who passionately campaigned against PDP in the last election. I weep for my state.
PoliticsRe: Comedy Unlimited: Rochas Builds Freedom Square For Ventilation Of Anger by Onyegecha(f): 6:51am On May 09, 2013
Chillypelly: @Abagworo I feel sorry realising how gullible you present yourself. Please clearly state one signature project by Rochas outside the dualization of orlu township roadshuh You have sold your soul for a pot of porridge and in due time you will cry out loud in pains. Rochas has succeeded in crippling the economic base of Imo state. Please find time to verify the identity of the contractor handling the chinese resturant in mbari of course its a 28 year old female relative of Rochas. Painfully there is no development blueprint for planning in Imo state. Today he scratches here, the next day he demolishes it. I feel touched to see that some people have chosen to remain adamant in their folly.
I totally agree with you because the truth is what Imo state needs now. Only two sets of people are still clapping for Rochas now- the incurably gullible (made up of blind believers)AND paid clappers( made up of associates and sycophants.
One thing stands out very clearly. We are worse off by far with the rescue mission. All the atrocities for which we crucified Ohakim have been dwarfed by Rochas and his callousness. Ohakim destroyed shanty stores and batchers. Rochas is busy pulling down storey buildings, warehouses big mansions , big restaurants for no concrete reason.
Rochas has rendered thousands of Imo people homeless and jobless.Ohakim and his men manhandled one reverend father, but Rochas and his men have brutalized scores of Imo men and women. No other governor in the history of Imo state has wasted the state resources as flagrantly as the current one. Imo state is now a land governed by confusion. No one knows the focus of this administration, not even his close aids. O dikwa egwu.
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Defects To APC by Onyegecha(f): 8:00am On May 08, 2013
It seems to be part of Okorocha's DNA to break the hearts of people he lured with his sunny laughter and sweet words.
Rochanomics is another chapter in the game of deceit and extreme selfishness. I believe Imo people need a good teacher in this subject matter to break all the codes and show them the real Rochas.
PoliticsRe: Comedy Unlimited: Rochas Builds Freedom Square For Ventilation Of Anger by Onyegecha(f): 7:18am On May 08, 2013
Imo people love laughter and merriment. Maybe that is why we got a comedian as governor. Unfortunately, there is a thin line between funny and crazy. I think our governor has crossed that line long ago. Someone who knows how to tame a wild bull in a China shop is needed urgently.
PoliticsRe: "Those Who Shout Corruption, Corruption Are Really The Most Corrupt"- Jonathan by Onyegecha(f): 7:59am On May 07, 2013
I listened to the man when he made that statement and i was ashamed. No sane leader should trivialize a serious matter like that. He said his many years in top government positions have shown him the true picture of corruption, yet he has refused to deal with the people he is pointing at. It's really appalling because what i saw was our president and his co-travelers celebrating corruption and deriding those that are making attempts to fight it.
For the president's information, shouting corruption, corruption is one of the ways to fight it. Most of the people who talk about it do not have what it takes to do more than talking. They try to sensitize people to change their attitudes. We all expect our leaders to do both the shouting, the scouting and routing of corruption and not to make fun of those who are doing the much they can do about the collective problem.
SHAME ON OUR RULING CLASS!!!

It should not be anybody's business whichever religion a man wants to practice. I don't give a hoot if Rochas is of Illuminatti, Ogboni or any other fraternity. Our interest should be that he does the right thing as our governor. We place too much emphasis on religion to the detriment of humanism and realism. It's obvious that Rochas and his likes know how sentimental we are as a people and he is playing to the gallery; using what we value to impress us.

I like this thread and i don't see why any sincere Nigerian will make it his business to defend ANY of the rogues that sit on our common wealth and marginalize the rest of us. All good citizens have a duty to expose these people and not to praise them even when it is obvious that they are not performing according to our expectations.
