mogbolade39317: What if she stayed in Mexico for about 5years an get citizenship by this she can apply to canada. You said it like it's beans and Garri ... lemme give you a tip, the moment an individual makes it to the point of obtaining citizenship of a country, then genuinely, there will be something that legit binds you to that country ... I have come in contact with people that thought they could do something of the sort, but apparently turned out they fell in love with the country, got caught up and couldn't leave indefinitely. E.g 1. A good paying job/profession is capable of making you a citizen upon time. 2. Marriage, Children and family et al 3. Superb mastery of the local language 4. Community involvement 5. Ownership of valuable assets or property 6. Large-scale investments/ Capital shares Etc... So the real question is, what if she stays in Mexico and any 1 of the 6 options applied to her Citizenship, what happens... Will she ignore any of them on a blink, because of Canada? So it really doesn't work like that |

lovecares34: Guys I want to know if 500k to 700k can take me to Canada. I want to leave immediately. I am a B.Sc holder in Business Admin.
I want to work and do my business there. Is it possible to get to Canada with such amount? How pls if its possible. 700,000NGN as at today's exchange rate is approximately about 1700USD. Your flight ticket alone would potentially consume 80% - 85% (if not more or all of it entirely) of that amount especially in this covid era. Now that's just one part of the whole process... you get the point right? If you want to apply as a student or for one of the immigration programs, you would need to come up with better. |

There was a case of a guy who petitioned for his wife from naija(been married for 2 years or 3 i think), she waited till she got the visa, came in and got the 10 years right away,changed her address on file and sent "mr man" divorce papers. Keep bringing them over and they will keep absconding here. Muntula set of people. You'd be surprised, you'd be surprised... |

Maureenho: We have two Embassies in Vietnam and non of them is issuing passport. They are always at the mercy of Nigerian Embassy in Malaysia. A lot of us who are genuinely working are at edge of loosing our work because of issue of expired passport.
Staying a day after ones visa expiration in Vietnam is 5 years entry sanction. Why can’t Nigeria immigration Service do non-appearance passport for those their passports have expired like other African countries here in Vietnam.
Most of the African countries don’t even have Embassies much more a passport desk here but they never lack any basic service from their government. My Ghanaian and Uganda friends are not shaken at all by this pandemic limitations and expiring passport wahala. My Ghanaians friend sent their copy of their expiring passports to their High Commission in Malaysia and all their passport were done and sent back to them through DHL.
Ours is a different ball game even when we have our finger prints and details in the immigration database. Most countries don't have issues with their own Embassies even when the Embassies are not sited here. They are 100% assured of any basic needs they might be in need. Why are we a pain to our citizens. Why can't the citizens of Nigeria be proud of Nigeria just for once. I am really pained and our help is only from above. We have the risk of loosing our jobs and returning back to Nigeria just to renew our passport and have no chance of coming back due to the fact of border closing on foreigners. If our passports can't be renewed in another country where we have two Embassies then what is the purpose of having Embassies there.
Are we truly a shithole country likeTrump said?
Naija why? Are we cursed as a nation? Analogue leaders in high places of authority? What is wrong with us?
MODERATOR, please help push this to front page for wider view and possible help Look I understand your plight, but I will give you a tip; Strive for alternate citizenship and watch your life gain value, it doesn't matter where its from... It's a risky thing to possess only Nigerian citizenship currently and hang around Asian countries, infact you would be so on your own... |

PSA to all the Rich Azz Naija Kids We know some of you have the opportunity to leave the country, some of you are even dual citizens, but please we implore you to stay in Nigeria and try your best to make it better- after all, it was most of your rich azz parents and folks that majorly contributed in wrecking Nigeria... I.e senators, politicians, service chiefs et al When you are done fixing it, the average azz kids will return... for now, the average Azz and poor Azz kids will migrate and engage in personal capacity development that we never had the chance to attain, since your rich azz parents hijacked all the slots. Even pure merit couldn't get us those slots because we were not connected azz kids. You see, you Rich Azz kids were empowered to stay and fix Nigeria, with your fancy education, fancy job opportunities, fancy connections and fancy protections... you were literally cutout to fix Nigeria, so please accept the responsibility. We will be back when we equally attain such standards, On behalf of all average azz, hustling azz and poor azz kids, please stay in Naija, don't congest our options. Regards, Optimusprime2 |

Iamsoworried123: Hi guys!
I and a friend are looking to migrate to the same country by January 2021 via post-graduate studies and we don't want to make the wrong decision. Your advice would be appreciated.
We've narrowed the countries down to three (U.S, Canada, and the U.K.). Although the dream country is the U.S., we're looking for one out of these three that is;
A. Easy to get a job in and stay back after graduation (with a high chance of getting a residence permit)
B. Relatively inexpensive (Although cost would not be a big issue, but the easier it is to get funding and GA positions, the better)
Quick profile of the two of us;
Person A studied Geology
Person B studied History and International Studies
I'm aware those in the STEM field have a higher chance of getting jobs and it's difficult to get a H1-B U.S Visa (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Given the recent change in U.S. immigration laws, which one of these three countries do we stand the highest chance of getting jobs and residing after studies?
Please advise.
Thank you very much!
Can this get to the front page, please? I need as many contributions as I can get. Thanks. Don't stress yourself, aim for Canada |

It depends on the language... someone translate Endurance in, Igbo, Hausa, and Yoruba. It literally means something else when you do.
But because of English translation you hear names like Godspower, Winner, overcomer etc for simplicity.
For example a name as common as Modupe, if it fully gets translated to English, it sounds quite Bogus (which some people actually do, because I have heard a name called "Thank God" before) However left in its Yoruba state, it makes more sense. |

I can boldly say that the only nice/unique thing about Nigeria, is the Socio-Cultural element, however apart from that, [Everything] about Nigeria is currently in a very very very screwed state. As a matter of fact even the very atmosphere of Nigeria currently, can contribute to Rapid acute mental decline in a normal human being.
My advice as usual to every educated young Nigerian out there, who is trying to grow and get something valuable out of his/her person, remains unchanged "Migrate!" Even if its to Botswana, it doesn't have to be Canada. |

thatthickgurl: Political science / Social Work Honestly you stand a better chance at scholarships by applying directly to faculty in an institution, due to your academic discipline. STEM disciplines typically have more mainstream scholarship programmes, the rest of the scholarship programmes that aren't STEM are very competitive due to high volumes of applications. My tip, find a university that has a programme cut out for you and apply for a scholarship directly from faculty, basicallyget in touchwith the faculty... you never know, most faculties have individual scholarships reserved for candidates with potential. It's up to you to demonstrate that potential. Good luck |
