Hopefully soon, we can have bright minds figure how to make billions of naira through manufacturing or importing high quality solar panels to make them a standard installation in each home. We also nned battery manufacturers in the country to stop focusing on only car batteries and begin manufacturing some heavy duty batteries for homes Solar Electricity.

Just as we now have boreholes as standard installation for water supply and GSM are standard for telephones.
Depending on government to provide power is like waiting on NITEL to provide functional telephones.
Solar electricity is our ONLY HOPE!

Here in the USA, people are adapting to it, even though the start up cost is expensive. The good thing is you will have zero electricity bill and you can use what you could have paid as electricity bill to payback the cost of installation.

If more homes have this Solar Power system, they can even help feed the public electricity grid and help maintain some stable power supply.

Banks should start helping people install this system and gradually pay back. If we can eliminate generators and use clean renewable solar power, then Nigeria has made progress.

There is need to have experts connect the batteries because that is the key to all these. They should be connected in series and you must try not to deplete your batteries more than 30% everyday so that the batteries will last a long time.

For now, Solar in homes can help run fridge/freezers, a water pump and a few power saving bulbs and fan. For now it will just be sufficient for the most important appliances to stop people from having spoiled soup and pumping water for home use.

Is George Weah normal at all?
If it was not for the sagacity of Nigerian entrepreneurs and private businesses, did he not know Buhari would have collapsed Nigerian economy with his recession cow brain?

Weah should appeal to Nigerian entrepreneurs to invest in Liberia.

Above all, Weah should stop hoping on rubber or Iron Ore to save Liberia, but invest in AGRICULTURE!

Another Igbo man pays the supreme price for Nigeria that treats him and his region as second class citizens.

This is a very unfortunate death. Fighting for an evil country to survive and enslave you more. The same guy that died for Nigeria will not be trusted to command any reasonable position in the same army. So why are you risking your life for such people?

The best death is fighting for the freedom of your people from TYRANNY on 97% vs. 5% and the Fulani herdmen armed to invade and kill southerners.

Nigeria has never been more tribalistic since Buhari introduced 97% versus 5% ideology into governance of the country.
The worst characters among Nigerians have been elevated to become President and they have no skill at all to rule a diverse country except dangerously use military force for every issue.

It's okay, because all of us will suffer the consequences of Buhari long after he is gone.

Okada ban as transportation means in busy urban centers is one policy that governors must address.

There is need to ban Okada from at least the major cities of Onitsha, Awka and Nnewi.

Anambra is the ONLY SE and SS state where Okada is still dangerously used for public transportation in busy urban centers! WHY has it taken so long to move progressively os this issue? A lot of orthopedic cases have mounted as as result of allowing Okada use for transportation in major urban centers. Now, the security angle of Okada use is being tackled with kid gloves.
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by OreMI22: 5:28pm On Mar 04, 2018
Biko nu,
Please, there is need for a souvenir shop along Chime avenue or Ogui road in Enugu. During my last visit to Nigeria, it was very hard to find these things. Does it mean we don't have artists and sculptors? What happened to all those IMT graduates of fine arts?

These souvenirs and ready made African clothes are truly a must have for anyone visiting Nigeria because we don't have time to make the clothes. Biko, let someone open this shop in an accessible area so that it's easy to get there and buy.

PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by OreMI22: 5:12pm On Mar 04, 2018
I know there are clothe lines on Lagos line selling ready made African casual wears such as these in Onitsha.

I wish some innovative business people can have a shop in Onitsha mall or some more accessible places to sell these ready-made African casual wears. During my last visit, i had to fly to Lagos just to buy them at Balogun market. It's one of those little things that help tourists shop conveniently instead of hustle of going deep inside main market.

I hope some business people here will consider opening a shop for these in some accessible plaza in Awka, Onitsha and other places to sell these things in one stop.

PoliticsRe: Few Pics From Imo State by OreMI22:
Just wondering why there are no streets in Owerri or Enugu selling ready made African clothes like these?

Always had to go to Lagos just to buy clothes before leaving Nigeria?

I hope someone will open up a plaza and sell these things so that we can buy them easily as souvenirs.
Thanks.

I am glad SE Governors showed Buhari that whether he likes it or not, Ekwueme will be buried a hero and they did it without his useless military parades or helicopter to convey Ekwueme body. SE Govs paid for simple horse driven Chariots and it was better than Buhari's helicopters.

Buhari should cover his ugly face in shame! We did it without his help!

Special kudos to Gov Obiano for going all out to bury Ekwueme as the hero he is !

At independence , Nigerians negotiated a truly federal structure based on the regions that came together to form nigeria. Ironically, it was the north that insisted on the federal structure of nigeria to be strictly respected in the new country to be called 'nigeria'.

Then some people came and dismantled our agreement for unity of nigeria and replaced it with the current dubious structure just to steal from other regions

Everyone agrees nigeria should be a united country under the federal structure agreed by everyone at independence. Not the present army arrangement where some people use the military to steal resources of other regions and still yell 'one nigeria' what does that mean?

Every Tom-Dick-and-Harry who does not even listen to radio talkmore follow US politics will ALWAYS analyze what Trump is doing.

IPOB better forget Trump and pursue UN Charter on rights of indigenous peoples for self determination and find a friendly government to move a motion for UN to investigate the murders of IPOB members in Nigeria and the disappearance of Nnamdi Kanu after Nigerian troops invaded his residence.

STOP all this Trump lies, i don't know why many of you guys not living in US always think America cares about what happen in Africa unless it affects oil supply and crude oil price.
PoliticsRe: Save Us From Persecution- IPOB Urges Trump. by OreMI22: 4:44pm On Feb 04, 2018
Asking Trump Ke?

Asking Trump to uphold human rights?

Is IPOB leadership normal at all if this news is true.

Trump may be sympathetic to IPOB, but it does not mean he is prepared to act. Definitely will NOT use US forces.
IPOB also refuses to factually document atrocities EXACTLY how and where it happened, instead they embellish stories and then make everything appear fictional or false. If one person was killed, say one person was killed and where and when. Don't say 5,000 because you create problems for people who would want to believe you if they don't know when you are also lying like Nigerian army. Once you embellish stories, you have the same credibility problems which Nigeria and her army has. So who do the world believe now?

I think the problem with present IPOB leadership is refusing to learn the world as it is. Instead, they act in conjectures of the world as they'd like it to be.

Btw, what about the Lagos route?
There is a flight from Lome to Newark. (For small west African countries or cities as Monrovia, Freetown, Dakar, Banjul, Gambia etc connected to Lome by ASKY airlines). BTW, some Lagos bound passengers prefer this route because they land in Lome and flown to Lagos via ASKY airline partners.

There is a flight from Addis Ababa - Washigton DC (For Enugu and other Nigerian passengers on ET)

This is so out-of-date undecided, do people still do thishuh

Well, that's by the way. The main issue i want to bring up is the route Ethiopian airlines take when traveling to U.S (N.J or J.F.K airports), i made enquiry and found out that they have to first get to Addis Ababa, then Lome before embarking on the long journey to U.S undecided, this would most likely take 2 days. Whereas taking a local flight to Lagos, then same Ethiopian airlines moves from there directly to Lome, then to U.S. I don't understand why this is so undecided, because it forces people abroad to take the Lagos route, thereby bypassing Addis Ababa. I really hope they can start moving from Enugu directly to Lome, then to U.S or better from Enugu directly to U.S.

I have little knowledge of their European route though, only U.S for now. Either way, their customer service is top notch and it's a generally awesome Airline. smiley
You misunderstood the route.
If you are travelling to USA or UK from Enugu, you fly from Enugu - Addis Ababa and then from there you are flown to Washington Dulles airport. In Washington, you board a plane by United Airlines to your final city in Texas, Georgia, Chicago, New York or any city in America.

If you are travelling to America from Mali, Gambia, Togo or Burkina faso etc, ASKY partner airlines will fly you to Lome Togo. From Lome, you will fly Ethiopian airline to Newark international airport, New Jersey. From New Jersey, you enter Ethiopian american partners (United airlines) for flight to your final destination city from Newark intl.

So it is not the same plane flying to Washigton Dulles that is flying to Newark intl. The way to understand it is that there is Ethiopian airline flying to Kano airport, Kaduna airport, Abuja airport. These are separate planes on these routes. It is not one plane that lands in Enugu and then goes to Lagos, then to Abuja and then to Kano and then to Kaduna before leaving Nigeria.

The Lome - Newark route is served by a separate plane while the Enugu-Addis Ababa - Washington DC is served by another separate plane.

Yet the wealth generated from Bayelsa is used by Buhari to build a refinery and railway line in Niger Republic, while Bayelsa has none.
