What can honest Nigerians do to stop Nigerian scams? Nothing. Sit back relax and watch people waste their money trying to get more money. The victims of 419 are greedy. If there weren't greedy people, there would be no 419 people out there.

The question should be, what can honest Nigerians do to make the Igbo states have 24hr. electricity, security, water. The Hausa and the Yoruba enjoy all this social services.

If you disagree, go figure.

They need to be enemies at work and friends after work. Responsibility goes first to the richest person and then the older person and continues that way. That's one of the only ways they can do it.

I have set up my business, is ready to go, but I am waiting for the cash to fuel it. I don't need any one [friends or enemies] to share the profits with.

Those that would stay sounds like they got into the relationship not because of money. The guy may not be ready for marriage and broke. What about you, are you not ready and broke too? If he is broke and you are rich because of your parents or your hard work, then money is not an issue.

Ladies, your situation also plays a part.

There is a reason behind what your parents are saying. You may not get it but you will at some point. Your parents have no right to tell you what to do or not do if you don't live with them.

So, did you find some one from another tribe or from your tribe or you are still confused?

Shame on you for making a promise and not keeping it. You are lucky that you changed your mind before you got to the church, if you had changed your mind at the church, she may have got a gun with her just for that. Whether you were acting stupid when you met her and didn't bother with her behavior and all of a sudden, she got issues. Did you find another lady? Are you telling some side of the story? What about the whole story?

It sounds like she is the smart one. Does she beat you too? Or that she got issues?

Anyways, based on the description of the place the lady is from. You may want to forget your certificates [say goodbye to all your hard earned work because of a lady], or get your certificates, pay her cash as she demands.

It sounds like you live in one of the most developed Asian nations. Is your wife Nigerian or Asian? It looks like the problem is communication. Nigerian phone system can be very annoying. Some times whenever I call there, the line will keep cutting off, some times I even give up.

If you are always traveling abroad. You need an international phone. I know here in the U.S. www.sprint.com offers a cell phone that you can use while traveling around the world. All you need to do is when you get back to that country, call or have her call your cell phone company and ask them about the international cell phones that they offer. I am sure a country like that will have one unless they haven’t reached the stage where U.S. is.
Giving her the option to call, will send her a message that it wasn’t your fault that the calls wasn’t going through.

Also remember that if you talk to your friends a lot about your traveling or about your wife. When you travel, the so called friends [your real enemy] will call your wife and claim all kinds of stuff. Watch your home phone caller id or get a call detail from your phone company showing numbers called and received within that month. You may get the answer to this problem there.

Also, call her and see if she will not answer or hang up on you. If you improve on the phone part and she brings something else up. That’s should be a sign that something is up.

Before it gets to being a partner, I would like to know everything. Any sense of it, there will be no partner. She can lie all she wants, but she can't fake a lie. It will be like I never met her. If you don't look both ways before crossing the road, you know what can happen.

Why take the risk of not looking?

Because they don't give a shit about Igbos. That's why there are more Igbos in the 419 business and more Igbos living in the U.S. and U.K. compared to Hausa and Yoruba combined.

If you want to joke, there are a lot of clowns around. The more you try to raise that issue, the more you will look like a 419 guy. Change the topic or continue your claim. You decide.

He slapped you and you stand there and cry like a baby or what? Why didn’t you slap him back regardless of how strong he is? Some ladies beat their guys, don’t get it twisted. Where you at his house or at your house. If at his house, why didn’t you shatter every thing in the house including tv screen, windows etc? If you did all that, he will probably think twice before hitting you or he may even tell his guys that his wife beats him. He might even post a thread on nairaland, “My wife beats me and destroys everything in the house, what should I do?”

You see, being a lady doesn’t make you weak, you can be strong or weak. You decide.

When ever you read this post, this is what you need to do the day before when you meet him. Either he is coming back from work or what ever, or even in public [open space] once he stepped into the door, give him a slap. Tell him to not hit you ever again. Let one or two of your friends that he doesn’t know to hang around the building or street with their phone ready to call police incase something goes wrong. If you don’t do this and enter into marriage or run, you will wish that you did.

His reactions will tell you if you need to stay or run. It will be nice if you post what happens after that.

Peace.

I didn't get to read this in feb. The contributions that you got were fair.
Since you have made up your mind to go ahead with it. Before you did it. I was going to ask you how many relationships you have had with guys like boyfriend [what ever they call them these days]. If you have had one or more than that. Then this is the guy for you [maybe].

If you have not. Then that's a different issue. I would respect you for that. I will not respect you if you have had more than one. Assuming that you have not, before you get into marriage, you stated on one of your posts that you will be heading back home in May, this is the 10th. Rushing into something is never a good idea regardless of the way the other person presents the situation.

Before you make up your mind, you may have but is never too late to change your mind. Still based on the assumption I stated earlier, ask your self one question without thinking of any one, who do I want to be with? If he doesn't meet that person. Do your self a favor and call it off.

Like Analytical informed you. If you marry a guy that have divorced and if his wife is not dead, any lady marrying him is committing adultery. If you call it off, you still have a chance of finding some one else.

It will be better to stay single than commit adultery and maybe even worse [he divorces you or went back to the first wife, wife? Yes, the law can’t change that even though in the court of law, she is no longer his wife]

What you decide should be based on what you want and your past experience.

Peace.

It’s sad to see so many ladies used up by some men [experimenters] pushed aside and go look for another prey. When will most ladies smarten up to know the bad guy [experimenters] when they first meet them? When will they put an end to having multiple partners? When will they know that they have a say in any relationship? When will they be role models for the girls growing up behind them? When will they know that peer pressure is not a must do? When will they dress normal? [a lot of guys are tempted by ladies that don’t have clothes on, so the more ladies dress well, the less guys are going to think of immoral things]. When will they take a decision on what they want and not have anything change it?

If most ladies around the world can't be role models for the younger ones. Atleast, I expect my Igbo ladies to shine.

You acted like a child for five years. On the sixth year, you woke up and asked your self, what have I been doing these last five years? Jokes? Movies? Hang out? That’s a good question. Only you and him [maybe] know the answer.

You decided that you have to know the answer now or you will call it quit. That’s good. That’s being mature. So you desperately asked him the question that he is not ready to receive, answer or expect. There is nothing wrong with being desperate, if he is your guy [maybe] then you can be desperate to ask him anything. Hunters don’t sleep all day and expect animals to come crawling over their bedroom, instead they take their guns and knives and go into the bush to look for food.

You have asked the question and you haven’t gotten an answer yet and you are running out of time and patience with him. He think that he can just use you for six years and then go look another lady.

Now, you need to dress up in a wedding dress [don’t worry about money, I will get to that], get a handgun and pay him a visit. Log out of nairaland so that you don’t get conflicting ideas. He doesn’t know that you have guys in nairaland.that will back you up.

Once you get to his place. Sit him down. Take out the handgun, tell him to calm down that you are not going to shut him yet, and say “For the second time I am going to ask you this question again and if I don’t get the answer that I expect, you are history.” You decide what you do after that.

Hope things go okay. If you need cash, email me and I will wire some cash through western union.
