nabiz: keep consoling yourself. I am also in enugu now at centenary city. An average igbo man is laughing at this present Nigeria condition. Not that it is not affecting the but not the way it will affect other people. If this get much in the east you see individual distributing food to the lesser privileged while your richest men in Africa will be flying around the world Your understanding of the economy is shallow. If Chinedu, Nnamdi and Okechukwu ,who are traders selling electronics, clothes and plastic tanks increase the prices of their goods to adjust, then the will go to buy from other people selling meat, rice, granites, medications and even 'school fees and transport fares', all of which have also increased. In all of these, it is people with fixed incomes like salary earners that will be worse hit followed by people producing or dealing in non-essential commodities e.g Hair dressers selling Brazilian and Malaysian hair, traders /importers of wines ,electronics etc. The purchasing powers of the people to buy imported items have reduced due to the exchange rates. However, producers of exported items like Cocoa, Kolanuts, Cashew nuts and now food items are making a lot of money. 100kg of Cocoa bean is now being sold around #700,000. A trailer load of corn cost about #18 million |

The second in command to Onyeama or Chief Operating Officer of Air Peace is a Yorubaa man. I am saying all these for you to understand Yorubaa benefits more from Air Peace than other Nigerians not to shoot yourself in foot with your tribalism. Onyeama has right to voice out incompetence in Tinubuu 's appointees. Everything about you people is tribe, tribe, tribe! Why introducing tribalism to this topic? So no discussion can be made about Air Peace and Allen Onyeama without his tribes men/women play the tribal victim card ? |

Bishop Oyedepo is a fantastic manager of men and resources , however no man canchange the economy the ways most of you assume.
Nigeria's economy can change if we work on and with several leaders at varying levels of authorities effecting in their areas of influence e.g Bishop Oyedepo's Canaan Land is a fairly developed micro-environment within Ogun State which enjoy the following
*Security *24/7 electricity *Solid Infrastructure *Good road network.
If this organisation can be encouraged and partnered with, they can do very well in economic management e.g
*They can be given license to generate more
electricity and supply the whole of Otta city.
*They can be given loans, farm implements to produce 5 tons of rice within a 3 year time frame.
Similar developmental MOU can be signed with Redemption Camp, Shelf Estate, Dangote Refinery and other Private bodies in ways that promote efficient uses of resources and insulated from the negative effects of Politics. |

scholes0: Yoruba language included the Southeast Yoruba dialects. The main difference between Oyo dialects and their SE counterparts is mostly that the Central and SE dialects are more conservative and have a stronger archaic (original) inventory as compared to Oyo which has a simpler structure and is less conservative. Edo on the other hand is a different language all together. You can't be putting Edo and SE Yoruba in the same bracket and then comparing both to Oyo as if they were the same thing. You can compare many things simultaneously. Both Yoruba and Edo ,though are different belong to the same KWA language family. As you move away from Bini towards Akure, Ilesha, Ife, Gbogan, Iwo to Ejigbo to Oyo, you will notice that the dialects become more different from Bini and closer to Yoruba Ajumolo. |

scholes0: Do you know there is a very popular linguistic theory that the Northern Edoid languages are actually the ones closer to proto Edo than Benin (Edo language) and not the other way round? They are actually the more conservative Edoid languages compared to Benin. Some Ora dialects like that of Ozalla are closer to Esan than Esan is to Benin. I also believe this too. As Bini became an Empire, it got exposed to and incorporated elements of other dialects, from Yoruba in the West to Igbo in the East and European languages in the South. |

scholes0: How can his Obazuaye, Ize and Obasohan side which is maternal be more important than his Erha (Ogbebor)º side though? If some Edo people call him a Yoruba person , they wouldn't be completely wrong.
On the meaning of certain Benin chieftaincies/aristocratic terms and titles i.e (Obazuaye, Ologbosere, Osodi, Esogban etc) being originally Yoruba etymologically, trust me, I know what I am talking about, but even if we argue til tomorrow, u no go gree, lol, but its okay. Let's just keep it at that. All these are not necessary sir. Both Bini and Yoruba are related and spoke variants of the same Language in the distant past. All Languages evolve and some dialects eventually transform into different languages if they remain isolated for too long or encounter and mix with other languages languages. The emergence of the Oyo Empire (which encountered and mixed with many different peoples) made the Yoruba language to evolve into somewhat, different language from Edo and Southeast Yoruba dialects spoken between Ile-Ife to Ondo/Ekiti States |

BTW, two-third of Nigerian states cannot pay salaries without federal intervention, yet politicians are talking about state police. First things first. Before state police, restructure Nigeria to allow states or regions control their resources and then pay taxes to the centre. If not, the level of corruption in today's police will be a child's play. Parts of the work force will be trained to become State Police. Even now, States can invest and have access to their resources. |

Peter Obi as president, Every Local govt in Nigeria will be empowered to own a large farm, either in your LGA or outside even your state Keep quite, you exude ignorance about the political system of Nigeria. All the lands in Nigeria are owned by the States Governments, except the FCT , which is owned by the FG. Agriculture is largely under the States. The roles of the FG in Agriculture is limited to Policy formulations (e.g restrictions of foreign agricultural produce) ,standardization and regulations (e.g intoduction of Faro 52-Rice species by Akinwunmi Adeshina during GEJ Administration), counterpact funding (e.g CBN's anchor borrower's programmed), subsidies on Farm implements etc. The President can't just stroll into Ekiti or Ebonyi to start rice farms or cocoa plantations in Ondo or Edo States. Each States should invest in Agriculture to provide foods for their peoples, States that can't shoud buy from those States that ca produce foods (as Sanwo-Olu is doing here) or they should reduce their food consumption by implementing 1-0-1 feeding ration formula |

Do you even know what Nigerians look for in a rice? Do you even know what appeals to the Nigerian customers? The man is correct. Most of the imported rice we consume in Nigeria were produced many years ago (some are about 10 years) but stored in silos and sold out because they are at the tail end of their nutritional values and most are unfir for consumption in their host countries but sold to poor African countries like Nigeria.
