The FG has already recognized All those who fought the fatherland...Armed Forces Rememberance Day, Jan-15 . wifeesnatcher: My issue with this incessant emotions post of these Igbo Op here is the victim drama they're playing
In the civil war, not only Igbo was victims of loss, a lot of soldiers died and other tribes living in Igbo land lost their people too. For the fact that they lost most which is expected because they called for it, they should let the sleeping dog lies and forgive forever
I urge Igbo to let love rule, play inclusive and liberal politics that would influence the federal govt to recognized the civil war day celebration.
If federal govt want to put this sit at home behind forever from this ipob then they should recognise a day to celebrate those that lost their lives during the failed disintegration of ojukwu lack of foresight plan |

First President of Nigeria- Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe First Military Head of State- Gen Aguiyi-Ironsi Real2020: They won't allow them as commercial ships doesn't sail to SS ports by systematic design. Only oil companies , Dangote and other prominent Nigerians can use it by private or chartered ships.
You see your response is innocent which why I replied you to enlighten you. Most of you that ask these innocent questions, don't realize that there is systematic marginalization of Igbos. There are some powerful forces somewhere in UK giving orders to Hausa-Fulani on how to keep Igbos marginalized. There is a reason why they haven't ruled this country since 1960s. |

When you go to war and base your survival on the magnamity and cooperation of your opponent... you can as well consider it a form of suicide! NuclearWinter: Did they beg you for food?
The blockade on the Biafran Bight was indiscriminate as it prevented much needed medicine and food into the new Nation.

Did you appoint Awolowo to be in charge of your foods during the war?
Was Awolowo the Head of State and can he unilaterally implement any policy in Federation?
You blame Awolowo for your defeat and the death of millions of Biafrans but never blame Ojukwu, Achuzia, Ifeauuna, Nzeogwu, Chinua Achebe etc.

Stop blaming the Yorubas for your problems. There are so many falsehoods in your write up. 1) There is no International Airport in Kaduna but you have Air Force Base (just as in Benue). 2) There are Functional International Airports in Port Harcourt and Calabar but the volume of traffic there is low compared to Lagos nobody is Abuja. Nobody can force Passengers to use them. 3) Dutse International Airport ,Dutse, Jigawa State was built from the Scratch by Gov Sule Lamido same with Gombe International Airport built from the scotch by Gov Danjuma Goje. Both Airports are used to lift passengers to Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Dubai. They citizens didn't cried of marginalization before their Governors built these. 4) The Lagos State is building Two Deep Sea ports in Badagry and Lekki. 5) There are functional Sea ports in Warri, P/Harcourt and Calabar. You can tell your importers to routes their goods to these Sea-Ports if they don't like Lagos ports (this will help to decongest Lagos). If the Shipping companies don't have enough goods going to that Zones, they may not want to pay that routes. My prescibed solution is very easy, let the importers of the SE form a cooperative and purchase small Ships that can be used to offload their cargoes on the High Seas (from large Ocean liners) and transport them to (Shallow) Port Harcourt or Calabar ports. This will save the costs of transportation and reduce the pressure on Lagos roads, Lagos-Ibadan express roads, Onitsha bridge and even the roads in the SE Real2020: What is funny is some Nigerians particularly yorubas think it's natural and okay for Lagos to have 2 seaports and largest functional international airport by design and for SE to have none. Some actually think Lagos has all these ports and airport by merit. When you try to to reason with them that why are Port Harcourt, Calabar, Warri, Onne and Onitsha ports not as functional as Lagos ports, they come up with all manners of excuses but you tell that that Dangote is using Calabar seaport to import most of his goods into SE, and then they keep quiet.Lol! Same goes for the airport, why are Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna and Kano the only functional airports in the country for international direct flight services? The fact is if you go right now, I mean now, to Lagos and Abuja, count and interview those traveling to international destinations, I assure you over 50% are Igbos. Then why can't they travel directly from Enugu, Uyo, Calabar, Asaba or Port Harcourt? Same goes for their goods...all these companies Reno talked about in Nnewi, Aba and Onitsha import their goods via Lagos port, that's over 1000 kms drive and paying all kinds of customs fees and bribes on the way to finally make it to SE, and you tell me this is fair?
Yorubas...how will you people feel having to drive 1000kms to SE to fly and clear your goods? Not only do you do this one time only but a constant thing for the past 50 yrs? And you think it's ok? Yorubas....where are your conscience? Do you people have feelings at all? Do you have hearts? I commend Fayose and Fani but more yorubas need to come out and condemn this evil and wickedness! |

If there are no FG Projects in the SE, what of States' projects? Which infrastructure in the whole of the SE can compete with the Kano fly-over bridge? What's the IGR of Anambra, Abia or Enugu States compared to Ogun, Kano or Oyo States? Gombe International Airport was built from the Scratch by Ex Gov Danjuma Goje. Ex-Gov Sule Lamido of Jigawa State built Dutse International Airport. They weren't crying of marginalization up and down . duncun: If yoruba land hav all the resources you've mentioned(which am not doubting), it then portrays yorubas as the biggest gainer in a one Nigeria and why they're comfortable with it.
In a case the Yoruba's have the right to work and earn money in any part of the country, why then are the igbos being persecuted in Lagos? Igbos might not have all the resources you mentioned, but they believe they can rock the stormy weather and fix themselves up which is why they want a separate country. No doubt yorubas will go through same scenario, but some other tribes see igbos leaving nig as the one that will expose them especially the ones that don't have the so called oil.
The only international airport in the whole of se/ss is PH which was approved cos of proximity for oil rig expatriates. No viable seaport , not much federal gov projects even okorocha as an APC governor couldn't boast of one. Anyone that says igbos don't have the right to agitate is just being mischievous. Nt: am not speaking for the ss, I'm only stating the obvious cos even the ss are systematically marginalized cos of that name 'Biafra' |

Anyone who pray ,hope and work for a better Nigeria is not necessarily a Buhari's supporter. You are absolutely correct. An ethnic group and a country may NOT necessarily coincide. All Greek peoples are not indigenous to one country. Greek peoples in varying percentages can be found in Greece, Macedonia, Turkey and Cyprus. The Coptic peoples are indigenous to Egypt, Libya and Sudan The Yorubas are indigenous to Nigeria, Benin Republic and Togo. Ethnic Germans are in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Czech Republic. In fact, it was the attempt by Adolf Hitler to annex other Countries with sizeable German populations that led to the Second World War. wirinet: But you still have ethnic Germans in Austria and Switzerland. I see no reasons why Biafra can't exist side by side with Nigeria.
