chie8: In what appears to be an indirect reaction to the call made by Arewa Youths for Igbos to leave the northern part of Nigeria and the continuous call by Biafrans to separate from Nigeria, popular pastor Bishop Dr Sam Zuga and General Abdulsalam Abubakar met and had a discussion on the issues.Obviously both are against Arewa Youths' quit notice and Biafran agitation. During their discussion on peace strategies, they said...
'What we need in this country is to do what we told God to help us to do. "ONE NATION,PEACE AND UNITY " not Biafra agitation and Arewa quit notice'.
Speaking further,Bishop Zuga said.....
'BEFORE YOU BREAK UP NIGERIA, YOU MUST CHANGE NATIONAL PLEDGE. I pledge to Nigeria my country, to be FAITHFUL, LOYAL AND HONEST. to serve Nigeria with all my strength. TO DEFEND HER UNITY.SO HELP ME GOD. If you once said this in primary school, you can not divide Nigeria. You must not go free when you are not loyal and honest. Because you told God to help you when you are about to violate your pledge. You promised to defend the unity of Nigeria and so shall it be. Everybody should go and do something better. Break up is not possible for now. Behold the Nigerian peace ambassadors. We must achieve the desired peace'

joshkiddies: A Swedish court have handed a Ghanaian football player in Gävle, Sweden, a two year jail sentence for raping and assaulting his wife.
The Gävle District Court also disclosed that 22-year-old Kwame Bonsu, who plays for Gefle IF club, will be expelled from the Scandinavian country where he has lived since 2013.
His club Gefle on Friday also said Bonsu was dismissed from the team with immediate effect. According to court documents seen by The Local he will also have to pay 122,600 kronor ($14,000) in compensation to his wife, who is a Swedish national. He first met her in 2014 when he was playing in the southern Swedish city of Mjölby.
They married the following year. A few months after the wedding he signed a transfer to the town of Gävle, located about 300 kilometres away from Mjölby. Bonsu's wife had wanted him to stay to continue his studies.
The victim said the rape and beatings took place in the couple's apartment during an evening in November 2015 when he had refused to let her out. Bonsu repeatedly denied the charges, but testimony from his wife's relatives led the court to believe the victim's version of events. His lawyer has appealed the sentence.

Here’s what she wrote, as she shared more photos that has her husband in it;
“Even the enemy is afraid of what we have and what we are about to achieve together. He sends his people he has kept in his prison of hate to steal joy and peace. Education › Re: 7 Common English Phrases You're Probably Using Wrong by ozimec(m): 6:00pm On Jun 08, 2017 |
vargasvictory: 1. Behind the sheets
It's common you hear people talk about what happens in their bed thereby making use of 'Behind the sheets'. Actually the correct line is "BETWEEN THE SHEETS"
2. I could care less
You're in a situation, probably angered by someone, in a bid to get back at him/her, you say 'I could care less', this is wrong because the sentence actually means you're concerned about the situation. The correct phase is "I COULDN'T CARE LESS"
3. First-come, First serve
This one is very popular among the Nigerians, because it talks about feeding the monsters in our belly, and it's a common notion that if you're on time you would be attended to early enough. the right sentence is "FIRST-COME, FIRST SERVED"
4. Cousin brother/sister
You hear people say, 'He's my cousin brother'. The word cousin is a noun and not an adjective, making it irrelevant to describe the gender of the cousin. "SHE'S MY COUSIN" is just about right.
5. Marriage v Wedding
A lot of us substitute Marriage for Wedding and vice versa, whilst this is wrong. "WEDDING" is the ceremony where you get married and "MARRIAGE" is the state of being married
6. Wreck havoc
You see headlines with 'All he did was wreck havoc'. Now that's clearly wrong. The correct phrase should be "ALL HE DID WAS WREAK HAVOC"
7. Breath/Breath
A BREATH is the air we inhale or exhale while BREATHE is the act of inhaling or exhaling
Dropping my pen at this stage Op what of this one, which of them is correct, " give her her book, give him him book and give him his book? Just learning o.. |

Now the Hauses are also towing Kanu's line. Hope those hausas that may be arrested as a fallout of this latest episode too won't become popular like Kanu became after his own arrest. Both Eastern and Northern elders have failed in guiding their youths. Did Kanu ever asked any Northerner to leave Igbo land or threatened any non Igbo to leave Igbo land? Kanu is simply agitating for secession of the Igbos, the action which is as a result of marginalization, subjugation meted on his people... and he has been doing that peacefully without infringing on other peoples rights. Lets get our facts right. Now the so called Arewa youths are threatening the Igbos in the north to leave their land. how are the two issues related?. |

CeoNewshelm: Senator Shehu Sani on Sunday said the Federal Government will have to dialogue with Biafran agitators.
Speaking to newsmen in Kano, the Senator said the forces igniting the Biafran agitation “are a new generation of young men and women, who have not experienced war and have not suffered from the war and have not seen the consequences of wars.”
He also faulted the Nigerian Government for falling to build structures that will unify the country after the war. He however expressed optimism that Nigeria will remain one country.
http://www.newshelmng.com/2017/06/shehu-sani-those-agitating-for-biafra.html Oga Sani, the history is still there. If there are people who are not afraid to go to war in this country anytime any day we all know them. So just stop that your cowardice talk. Sometimes I found it very difficult to understand the reasons behind some people s fear that Igbos want to secede from Nigeria. Yet they can't do the right thing to accommodate them. Only last week, the Rep killed a proposed bill that will establish southeast development plan. After the civil war there was an agreement for reconciliation, rehabilitation and rebuilding of the Southeast but all ended on the White paper and somebody will ask what the Igbos want. Nonsense! |

seunmsg: Unfortunately, the agitators of Biafra think they can achieve their aim through blackmail and propaganda. The earlier they realise that war is the only option to breakup the country, the better for them. If they want to go through the 1967 route again, so be it. ...and who told you that the Igbos are afraid of war if that's is the only option as you postulated? They have done it before and can still do it again if the need be. They are treated as slaves in a country where they have contributed immensely to its development. Igbos are the only tribe in Nigeria that can build and settle in any parts of the country without minding the huge marginalization subjugation meted on them. Igbos are always slaughtered in the Northern parts of Nigeria with little or no provocation and the murderers are freed few days after their arrest. After the civil war, there was an agreement for reconciliation, rehabilitation and rebuilding. Has that been done? Why is that Nigeria doesn't like the Igbos yet, afraid to let them go? Why is it that some of you cannot speak against the injustice that is being meted on the Igbos but you're angry that they are agitating for secession. It's only a fool and a coward that will grow up and finds out that he's like a slave in a country he calls his own and keeps quiet. Those that your security operatives killed in both anamba and Aba few months ago do you think they are cowards? Some of you who don't wear the shoe have no knowledge of where it pinches and should just stop commenting on the matter. |

FlirtyKaren: According to Facebook user, Victoria Onwuchekwa:
I don't think it's proper for a married man to be outside at 11pm in the night with the excuse that he is hanging out with his boys and he needs to de-stress. I don't know how some women tolerate it.....I can't.
Women stay at home after work even during weekends whether stressed or not...to be with their family. Since you have decided to be a Married man then you should act like one.
It's not only irresponsible but selfish and also very dangerous.
I know of men that went to hang out...were attacked when coming back and till today their wives haven't seen them. Some died through accident cause they drank and still drove and drove in the night for that matter.
The risk involved with night movement is too much. Once in a blue moon with permission from your wife...Yes but an everyday or occasional occurrence...its not acceptable at all...that is how extra marital affairs begin.
I don't know how some women do it o...I can't be in a marriage where it's only me that is living like a married person while my partner is still behaving like a bachelor.
Marriage comes with sacrifices, especially cutting off some social activities. If you can't do it then you have no business being married.
http://www.lailasblog.com/2017/06/not-proper-married-man-outside-home-11pm-nigerian-lady.html I totally agreed to this. It's very wrong and dangerous for a married man or woman to keep late at night. |
Politics › Re: Biafra: INM Calls For Probe As Group Fingers Obiano, Ekweremadu As Kanu Sponsors by ozimec(m): 9:21am On Jun 05, 2017 |
owukpa: The Igbo for Nigeria Movement, INM, has called for the immediate probe of Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, Anambra State governor, Willie Obiano and other Igbo elites sponsoring the secessionist group, Independent People of Biafra led by Nnamdi Kanu.
The anti-Bifara group was reacting to a shocking revelation made by a group, Society for Civil Liberties & the Rule of Law (Intersociety) and Southeast Based Coalition of Human Rights Organizations (SBCHROs) on those funding the Biafra agitators.
Intersociety and SBCHROs had recently alleged that Anambra State governor, Mr Willie Obiano gave car and cash gifts to the self-acclaimed Supreme Leader of Biafra and IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
In their statement, the group gave names of those behind the agitators as, “Amnesty International, Alaigbo Development Foundation, Igbo Youth Movement, Ike Ekweremadu, Peter Obi, Joe Achuzia, US Embassy in Nigeria, Mike Akuoma, Ugochukwu Chinwuba, Ikechukwu Okoye, Clifford Iloanya, Prince Emeka Onyeso, Okechukwu Nwanguma, Aloysius Attah, Ibuchukwu Ezike, Tochukwu Ezeoke and his Igbo Ekunie group, Justus and Justine Ijeomas, Alex Olisa, Damian Ugwu, Damian Ogudike, Tools & Allied Market and its leadership, Ekwenche Group, USA, Uche Asiegbu, George Onyeibe, Samuel Kamanyoku and others.
The group claimed these patrons were channeling resources meant for improving the lives of Nigerians to the separatist groups to finance their insurgency.
Speaking on the development at a press conference on Saturday, the national leader of INM, Mazi Ifeanyi Igwe, called on the anti-graft agencies to immediately ascertain if Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Rivers, Delta as well as Bayelsa state governors also gave similar questionable gifts to Nnamdi Kanu or any other terrorist group.
According to Igwe, “We are raising this alarm because of the far reaching implication of this recent revelation. The plank of the Igbo agitation is about the neglect and marginalization of the south-east but it appears we have never correctly situated the problem.
“The five south-east states are not governed by Hausa-Fulani or Yoruba, they have been governed by our own blood since the return to civil rule in 1999. What this recent development is telling us is that the governors have been doling out their states' money to Biafra agitators under different covers.
“For one, we are worried that this overbearing attitude of IPOB, MASSOB, Intersociety and SBCHROs could push other ethnic nationals to a point when they will ask for Igbo states to go their way knowing fully well that a Biafra Republic is the fantasy of its disturbed leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
“He has proven he does not have the capacity and orientation to obey the law; if Nnamdi Kanu cannot obey the law and comply with his bail condition those following him should know that he will only obey his own laws when he becomes the first President of his phantom republic. This much has been confirmed with adoption of the title of "Supreme Leader".
“We further want Kanu, IPOB, MASSOB, Intersociety and others to know that we are not willing to begin to apply for visas to continue living in places that millions of us know as home. We are facing the reality of our limited landmass that would immediately spell trouble on more than one front. Same way we don't want to sell our properties in other parts of Nigeria at giveaway prices.
“Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has been named as a patron of separatists. He was placed on the same level as the IPOB leader. We want to ask why he never pushed for fiscal federalism the various times he has presided over the amendment of the constitution.
“Peter Obi, former Anambra state governor, is being hailed as a hero yet no one is asking why he did not turn his state into Nigeria's Dubai in the eight years he held office as governor. Peter Obi is being commended for being the patron of a group that is pressuring youths to embark on suicide mission; no one is asking him what he will do with his investment in Abuja, Lagos and across Nigeria if his foot soldiers break the country up.”

fabre4: THE DEPUTY MINORITY LEADER OF THE FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, HAS OPENED UP ON THE ROWDY SESSION AND PROTEST BY LAWMAKERS MAINLY FROM THE SOUTH-EAST TODAY DURING PLENARY.
We reported earlier today that some members of the Federal House of Representatives, mainly from the South-East were involved in massive protest inside the national assembly chambers. It was learnt that their anger is over the withdrawal of a bill seeking to create a South-East Development Commission. The house rejected the bill after it was put to a voice vote by Yakubu Dogara, the speaker. While speaking with a journalists, the deputy minority leader of the house of representatives, Chukwuka Onyema, alleged that there was a gang up to kill the bill seeking to establish the South-East Development Commission.
Onyema, who sponsored the bill, had stormed out of the chamber, alongside some south-east lawmakers, after the bill was put aside, and also threatened to relinquish his position.
When asked if he would keep to his word and resign, the angry Onyema said: “I have not done it, wait for a formal thing,” adding that it was obvious that some lawmakers ganged up to “kill” the bill. The lawmaker explained that the bill was mainly for developmental purposes of the south-east region, saying it had become clear that the south-east is being marginalised.
“Two things happened, it was obvious that there was a gang up to kill this bill. People that are supposed to be fasting came back and shouted ‘nay’,” he said.
“We all heard it and still the presiding officer gave it to the ‘nays’. This bill does not affect anybody in any way. This is something that is for developmental purposes. Why are we killing it? And we are talking about marginalisation, that we are not marginalised? We are marginalised, it is obvious that we are being marginalised. “By Tuesday, you will hear what you want to hear.”

Politics › On The Biafra Issues: History Is About Human Activities... by ozimec(op): 8:06pm On May 31, 2017 |
History is never about infinity of time,it's about human activities which give rise to series of interconnected chains of other activities. It's also about junctures, epochs and eras, which though might be interconnected, each however represents their own driving forces. Therefore glacial era of the earth is a geological aspect of natural history. Some arguments are centered around events that occurred after the Nigerian independence which is a distinct historical epoch during which the destiny of Nigeria was placed into the hands of Nigerian political leadership, which they however bungled.
Berlin conference was the jostling by the European powers over the African territories and its people.Africans then,as conquered peoples had no control over their own destinies. From the colonization of territories which later were amalgamated to become the present Nigeria, people within the territories were virtually helpless. At any event to control the driving force or to influence the directive motive of history the people must possess the political power and social cohesion, efficient administrative organization and dynamic economic system. Between the 18th and 19th centuries African nationalities had been badly devastated by the transatlantic slave trade that there was not a single part of west African sub region that could withstand the invasion of rampaging European imperialists.
Even the so-called cohesive Sokoto Caliphate fell like a pack of cards at the slightest push by the British expeditionary force: from Kano to sokoto, they all went down in capitulation like the ghastly game of falling dominoes. As a conquered people they had no choice over how their conquerors decided to organize their societies; whether as different individual nations or vassalages or as an amalgam of disparate ethnic or racial or religious entities.
Nigeria as a product of conquest is not a lie,it is a historical reality which has endured more than a century. This historical truth is not peculiar to Nigeria, because invariably almost every nation in human history has emerged from this common crucible. In fact no nation currently or in world history has always been there from the beginning of time. Political history had only began with the activities of human beings as social beings. I always wonder why the case of Nigeria should ever be different.
There is nothing sacred about the integrity of a nation except the integrity of its attributes. No nation was created from the beginning of history but it is itself the product of history as much it will be the subject of history. A parallel can be drawn between the life of a human being and a nation going through the process of birth, growth, age, senescence and death. In between are various incidences of abortion, birth defects, accidents, diseases, stunted growth, atrophy, etc.
So for those who think that Nigeria is a special creation which in spite of all its defects nobody should think about opting out without dire consequences must be misreading history. It is for this reason I find the official attitude towards the new-Biafran movement highly reactionary and the argument in opposition to it extremely arrogant.
It's true nobody chooses to be born in a country of his birth but then a typical post-colonial country like Nigeria, our primordial identity is directly linked to our family through the society and to our ethnic extraction. Incidentally these respective ethnic Nationalities to which most Nigerians individually belong not only preexisted Imperial dominions but still constitute the basic structural mosaic of the Nigerian state. This ethnic structure represents the basis for much of the political consensus that was reached in drawing up nearly all of Nigerias constitutions.
The protest for Biafra to me is very legitimate if to the extent that there is general consensus amongst most of the constituents within the Biafra territory and there is not coercion or imposition placed on the people of any other distinct autonomous territory within the proposed seceding territory; and so long as it is not advocated through violence.Secession can be achieved through dialogue between the parent country and the seceding territory on how territorial boundary , legal, economic and demographic issues are mutually resolved.
Invariably history has shown that nations break up into several states both peacefully and violently and for this reason the last failed attempt at breaking Nigeria up in the mid sixties and the ensuing civil war that escalated resulting in the deaths of millions of Nigeria is not a good argument against new attempts at breaking Nigeria. President Buhari's declaration of the indivisibility and indissolubility of Nigeria on account of the civil war they are proud to fight to maintain one Nigeria in my view is a cruel and Machiavellian approach to an important National question within the context international human right to self determination. #copied |

wale101010: I have been a locker on Nairaland for years but I cannot be quiet anymore because I and millions of others might lose our jobs in Port Harcourt with the momentum seen with IPOB/Biafra restoration since Nnamdi Kanu release. I never believed for a while that IPOB could ever penetrate South South, particularly Rivers state. I work here as an oil worker and I'll be honest with you all: IPOB/Biafra has taken over Rivers state particularly Port Harcourt...everywhere you go its IPOB. Anyone telling you that IPOB/Biafra is a SE/Igbo affair is deceiving you. We here on gorund know what's happening here. It's not just Igbos, it's Ikwerre, Urhobo, Ishekiri, Annang, Ibibio, you name it!
As a concern citizen, I think Federal government should as a matter of emergency move to counteract Nnamdi Kanu before this gets out of hand because after May 30th, things will never be the same with Nigeria. You cannot stop this movement by force, anyone advising you to use force is deceiving you. The people following Nnamdi Kanu are not fools; this people, as with us know that Nigeria is a failure especially with the marginalization of SE, and some areas with SS. This is not the time to debate on if the fault is from the leaders of SE or SS, no, rather time for the Federal government to act immediately by implementing these measures below to pacify and make these young men abandon Kanu.
Federal government must do these:
1. Declare May 30th, Biafra Memorial Day and ask the Senate to pass it as a law that every May 30th will be a public holiday. On this May 30th, acting President Osinbanjo will lead the commemoration of all Biafran fallen heroes and heroines, by laying a wreath at the National Square Abuja in their memory. Celebrate it like we do with Nigeria Airforces Remembrance Day. Biafran Fallen Heroes and Heroines are human too like their Nigerian counterpart. 2. A committee should be set up by the Presidential Executive Council to go to SE and fact-find on all federal roads that need repair, expansion, and construction of new roads where needed. 3. All seaports and Riverport in SS and SE; Port Harcourt, Onne, Calabar, Warri and Onitsha should be reopened, funded and allowed to function to full capacity without interference. 4. All International Airports in SE and SS; Port Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu and Asaba should be funded and allowed to function to full international airport standard like Lagos and Abuja. 5. Earmark funds to support local manufacturers in Aba, Onitsha and Nnewi. 6. Most importantly, restructure the oil and gas industry, where states will be allowed to managed their oil and gas resource, and pay tax to the center. 7. Fix the lopsided appointments by Buhari, and ensure that SE, SW, SS, NC, NW, and NE are evenly represented. 8. Do away with quota system in our educational system, and let students who score high marks reap the benefits of their labor. 9. Disarm Fulani and restrict their movements to the North only. 10. All government offices and agencies must have at least one office in Enugu, Calabar or Port Harcourt. 11. All foreign consulate and visa processing centers must have at least one office in Enugu, Calabar or Port Harcourt. 12. Assure them of a new Nigeria in the horizon, and things will be better, and more restructuring will be made in the coming months as more consultations are done.
I ASSURE YOU, MAJORITY OF SE AND SS will abandon Nnamdi Kanu within 48 hrs. These people actually prefer Nigeria than Biafra, so will work with Federal government on a reasonable arrangement and fulfillment of the conditions above. YOU CAN NEVER EVER WIN THIS BATTLE WITH IPOB WITH FORCE...NEVER! YOU MUST USE SENSE; THEIR AGITATION IS BASED ON SERIOUS MARGINALIZATION. Op you're correct. I know that some people will not agree mainly because, it doesn't affect them directly now but certainly later it will affect everybody. People of the South have been marginalized and subjugated over the years even prior to the civil war especially Southeast and South South. Many messengers had who spoke against these injustices had been killed in the time past by the Nigerian Government. But they failed woefully to kill the message. It's impossible to kill the message, after killing the messengers because the message is like air, it spreads wide even unto the unborn generation once it's release. However, Nnamdi KANU is another messenger and he has as well passed his message across to his people. Jail him or kill him, his message is spreading like a wildfire. Besides, there are still thousands of Nnamdi Kanus out there so, it does not really matter what you do to eliminate or silence him. Like Op said, there are places in the Southeast and south south that if you go today, you won't be bold to say you're a Nigerian because of the verbal attack and insult you will get from people around you, many are so angry to be identified as Nigerians. I know what I'm saying, it's that bad. The country is almost divided and nothing is been done to address the situation. Unfortunately, many youths here are not seeing the signs. Do you think that the hate speeches and comments you throw at one another here is helping the matter? Do you think the agitation isnt for real? Nevertheless, I believe that this present Fg can still address the situation by addressing the issues enumerated by the OP as soon as possible. |
ok, which of the Igbos, Biafrans or Nigerian?
First thing first,u can't claim to be a stranger in Nigeria and expect to enjoy citizenship rights
The victim mentality of the Igbos and politics of hatred must be dealt with by the elites among them.
Stop applying poor strategy at political dispensation and making yourself available for ditty job like senseless Ipob agitation.
Nobody take Igbo serious in Nigeria bcs they are not united, put personal interest above tribal interest.[/qu
Tribalism and hatred sometimes affect peoples reasoning.

OVI75: Fake Pastor Osibanjo Point of correction! Bro, he's not a fake Pastor. You may not agree with his stand which I do not totally agree with too. He spoke like a pastor, he canvases for peace and unity of the country but, I think the terms of that unity have to be discussed and agreed by all and sundry. I go with Mr Adebanjo. If I am to partner with you in a business, we must sit down discuss the terms of our partnership and interest before we can partner otherwise, we go on our separate ways. |

fiizznation: Funny clowns. Boycott the 2019, who cares? You 'restructure whiners' or whatever you called yourselves are funny and you think you are smart. When your silly incompetent brother was the president, you didn't shout restructure because the status-quo at that time was very good, you clowns benefited from it. The north was shortchanged and nobody said anything about the gentleman's agreement in place(a northerner completing yar'adua's term), instead we saw how you hypocrites supported the incompetent man in 2011. Nobody never forgets. Even when that old ugly man(obasanjo) was the president, nobody from the south said anything about restructuring, and now everybody thinks they are smart. Atiku can say whatever he wants and tell you whatever you guys wanna hear, but an average northerner knows why Atiku is screaming about 'restructuring'. And that man(atiku) is not influential here, he and his words don't influence anybody in the north.
Nigeria WON'T be restructured, and you fellas can do you worse. If you want a restructured Nigeria, then you have to wait when you are the majority in the NA.
And if Nigeria should be restructured, it will definitely be at our terms, that's when we feel like doing so. You can't blackmail the north with your silly threats. We know were we stand and we know why ya' hypocrites are shouting 'restructure Nigeria'. I'm really surprise that people still think this way.

Politics › See What An Aid To Abia State Governor Did For A Carpenter Who Helped In The Uni by ozimec(op): 12:22pm On May 22, 2017 |
See what aide to Abia state governor did to kind carpenter who helped him in university 20 years ago - Onyebuchi Ememanka, special adviser on public communications to Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu the executive governor of Abia state has gone back to appreciate the man who helped him while in the university - He has also agreed to sponsor one of the children of the man who helped him - The union was a day of celebration Onyebuchi Ememanka, special adviser on public communications to Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu the executive governor of Abia state has shared a touching story of how he went back in search of a carpenter who helped him while he was a student ABSU. The man who is identified as Onyebuchi Ememanka wrote about the carpenter who was so kind to him while in school. Onyebuchi Ememanka with the kind carpenter who helped him in university 20 years ago He said: "Today, I decided to put a big smile on someone’s face. When the ABSU event was over and on my way back, I did a stop over at the place where I used to live as a student on Agiriga Street Okigwe. "My mission was simple – to pay a surprise visit to my old neighbors, who are mostly local carpenters and petty traders. "I moved into that area sometime in 1998 and lived there till 2001 when I graduated. My brother Chiemezie Nwakanma was living there then and helped me secure the room. We were next door neighbors. Iyke Aaron and Chizuru Kanu later joined us there. "There is this particular carpenter who was so kind to me then. He would do my carpentry works free of charge and will lend me money whenever I was broke. I didn’t pay back most of those monies. The Mbano man was just nice to me and treated me like his own son. "The man has a penchant for speaking high sounding grammar and we named him the Professor of Carpentology, a title he cherishes so much… Heheheheheheheh. 'Before I took my leave, they all asked me to kneel down while they said some prayers that touched my soul' "17 years after, I stormed the place today and it was a big party. I ensured that there were drinks of different kinds and food to go round. All the carpenters stopped work to welcome their old neighbor. The women were not left out. "I told them stories of how that carpenter assisted me greatly and without seeking any pay back from me. I thanked all of them for the kindness and love they showed me then. They were all amazed that I could still remember all of that almost 20 years after. "The carpenter had a set of male triplets while I lived there. They are all grown now and one them works with him in his shop. He said the boy is brilliant but he has no money to train him in school. He lost his wife a few years ago. "My mission was simple – to pay a surprise visit to my old neighbors, who are mostly local carpenters and petty traders" "There and then, I announced that I will send him to the university and bear the cost of his training. The man broke down in tears. I told him that his son should get a better life than he had. I am fully committed to keeping that promise. I shall help secure admission for him and see him through school. Who knows? He may be the channel through which God will liberate the family from the vicious cycle of poverty and deprivation. "It was a great day today as we drank and relived old times. I ensured that each of them got some small cash in their pockets. "It was a great day today as we drank and relived old times. Christianity Etc › Re: Pastor Adeboye Sitting On Ooni Of Ife's Palace Highest Stool (Photos) by ozimec(m): 9:49pm On May 19, 2017 |
badassProdigy: The General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God , Pastor Enoch Adeboye while on a courtesy visit to the palace last week was offered the seat by the Ooni of Ife himself which is against the tradition.
According to the Ooni, there is none greater than God.
Despite the protest and refusal of Pastor Adeboye, Oba Ogunwusi insisted, pointing out that Pastor Adeboye was representing God in his palace, hence deserved the greatest seat!!!
The great Monarch then took the lower seat...
http://www.lubeynaija.com/2017/05/photo-of-pastor-adeboye-sitting-on.html?m=1 I love this Ooni. He's full of wisdom. |
