You can download the standard form from the US Embassy site and print. Please signing the form should be in the presence of the Embassy notarization official. You need to go along with your govt issued IDs Weperwema: Hello house, can anyone help me with the draft sample of consent letter to be notarized by DH at the US embassy before issuance of international passport.DW is in Chicago. Thanks |

The reason for calling is to get the SSN on phone after the security clearance. The SSN is usually mailed to the mailing address you gave on the form. I am talking about the process in El Paso , Texas.Standard mail 10 days. Mamatukwas: Ok. Thank you. I kinda understand that it's ready and will come if u fill the forms after delivery in the hospital... it's just that the initial post made it seem like going to their office makes it arrive faster.. so i want to be sure I go there just for follow up so that I'm not told I've already filled forms in the hospital and should wait (Hope u understand). The 1st post in this (forgotten the handle) said you fill a form when you get to thier office? Is it a fresh SSN request form or just form to tell them where to deliver to? Or??
Thank you. P.S- Asking for Chicago District. |

People opt for VOA because of locations. Bcpump: For the birth certificate (sorry I'm not tagging who asked about that), after 2 days of hospital discharge, just go to the bc office in your county. that's what i did and i picked up as much copies as i wanted.
I applied for nigerian passport last week Thursday, paid 77$ money order and went to the embassy yesterday for my appointment. passport was also ready as at the evening of the same day. Told them I was traveling immediately. All I paid was that 77$ money order to innovate. since the passport is cheaper than VOA, why do so many people opt for the VOA? everything took me a week. |

SSN is usually ready 3 days after submission of form. That is after delivery. You can call the Social Seceurty Adminstration office in your county to obtain the number if you are able to answer some security questions as per details registered at the the hospital etc. Or better still locate the office and go there with yuor govt approved IDs.

|

Which state are they? AroOkigbo: And so DW was delivered of our baby- a boy, on Feb 10. To God be the glory for a safe and successful delivery. She and baby were discharged 2 days after. I wanted to know from the nurse who took baby's data how soon we can get the birth certificate and she was like, it usually takes 30 to 60 days but you can start calling this number (she gave me a list of numbers) in 2 to 3 weeks. LA (or do I say, California) mums, abeg how long did it take you to get your babys' birth certificates? Can this be expedited? We didn't plan staying so long after child was delivered. This state is damn too expensive to continue to stay. |

Welcome back Adedoyin2108: Good afternoon ladies
Baby girl arrived on the 3rd of January 2018 at Houston Northwest Medical Center through vaginal delivery. Breakdown of cost: Dr Xydas: 2000 Hospital: 2000 Induction: 200* Stress test: 200* Epidural: 650* Hospital peadiatrician: 675 (the normal fee is much higher, this is the The Healthy Baby Package rate) Pathology: 97 (after discount) Peadiatrician(after discharge): 75 Birth certificate: 75 (plus delivery charge) Passport: 160 (expedited) Visa on arrival 190 *these are optional
I got baby's birth certificate 18 days after birth, 22/1; it was delayed cos of the adverse weather. It's 23 per copy but I paid 75 because I ordered it online (http://houstontx.gov/health/BirthCert/) and it was delivered to me next business day. To save time, I booked my appointment at the passport agency while waiting for the birth certificate. I booked two appointments actually, with different email addresses just in case [(https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/apply-renew-passport/hurry.html) (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/apply-renew-passport/apply-in-person.html)] When booking the appointment, it's important to indicate that you need the passport same day in order to obtain a visa. After I got the birth certificate, I went for the passport interview the next day, 23/1. My husband wasn't present for the interview, but he was around for the baby's birth so we notarised in the US. If your husband isn't coming to the US, it's best to notarise the document at the US embassy before travelling to the US, notarising at a Nigerian notary public is no longer accepted. I got the US passport same day and sent the email for visa on arrival that night, got approval on Thursday 25/1 (https://immigration.gov.ng/visa-on-arrival/) and travelled on Monday 29/1 via Lufthansa. I had called Lufthansa customer care a day earlier to book a bassinet seat. I got to Lagos on the 30th, straight to visa on arrival office, presented the approval and other docs, filled a form, paid the fee and baby was stamped in for a month.
NB: Got the Social security number in less than 2 weeks
Thanks to everyone for sharing info on this thread, God bless you all mightily!. To God be the glory! |

However, the woman can still choose not to add the father's name to her child's birth certificate.
There has been instances where the new born child didn't belong to the man the woman is presently married too. |

Interested please:ozymes@yahoo.co.uk ositadima1: I found this interesting, not directly related to Tbills but none the less educative;
"Inflation is, in fact, a tax on money holdings. Then, after exploring some implications of this fact, we will examine again the reason why some countries have high inflation rates.
We start with the fiscal budget constraint that every government faces.
1. G = T + ΔB/Δt + ΔM/Δt
where G is government expenditure, T is taxes, t is time and ΔB/Δt and ΔM/Δt are the current-period changes stocks of government bonds and money held by the public. This constraint says that the government must finance its expenditures by either levying taxes, selling bonds to the public (increasing the stock of bonds at the rate ΔB/Δt) or printing money (increasing the money stock at the rate ΔM/Δt). The government budget deficit, government expenditures minus taxes, must be financed by either borrowing (selling bonds) or printing money.
Suppose that the government runs a deficit and finances it by printing money. For the sake of argument, we assume that the deficit is $1 billion and that the money supply is initially $10 billion. The government prints $1 billion of new money, giving it to the public in return for $1 billion worth of real goods and services. The public sells these goods and services to the government at market prices and receives an equivalent amount of money return---the goods and services are part of G, which exceeds T by 1 billion dollars.
But the nominal money supply is now ten percent ($1 billion/ $10 billion) higher and, given the public's unchanged desired holdings of real money balances, the price level will eventually rise by 10 percent. As a result, the public ends up with 10 percent larger nominal money holdings, which it gave up real goods and services to obtain, but faces a 10 percent higher price level. Since its real money holdings have not changed, it has received nothing for the goods and services it gave to the government. The public is no better off than it would have been if the government increased taxes by $1 billion dollars and used those funds to purchase the goods and services from it.
By printing money instead of raising income or sales taxes, the government is taxing money holdings instead of income or sales. Since the price level rises by 10 percent, everyone loses 10 percent of their initial money holdings and has to give up an equivalent amount of their current income to acquire sufficient additional nominal money holdings to maintain their real money holdings at the desired level. Had income taxes been increased instead, the government would have taken $1 billion (the same amount) directly off their current year's earnings."
It's quite long and I cut it here, I can post the subsequent part if you interested in reading further. |

He tried making a converdation abt y nigerians vandalise pipelines bt i wasnt interested in his gist so he kept quiet. He was nice enough to help wheel all my bags to agric cos i said i had dried bitter leaves with me. He stayed with me and saw me off to the exit door.

Note that if you refuse to put his name on BC, you will still need proof that you have full custody. Court papers. chibertha: The choice is yours to or not to put the father's name on the BC. If you choose not to it simply means you have full custody of the child. But I wonder why your husband can't go to lag or Abuja (well just thinking out loud). |

First of all correct the statement "when travelling for her childbirth" it should be when travelling for our chldbirth. Gtbank naira mastercard works perfectly on chip-enabled POS for payment and I believe their dollar cards should too. First bank plc dollar card did well on cash withdrawal from ATM. Since you are travelling as a family you will fill just one custom/immigration form, so you cannot slip the total sum. Open a dom account and deposit excess and encure the mastercard is pre-enabled before you remove to USA. Na my own be that ooo litylity55: Happy Sunday to everyone. Pls house, can I and my wife take more than 10k dollars when travelling for her child birth. Or may be we can share it like I take 7k, and she also take 7k dollars. For us not to declare more than 10k dollars when traveling. Though the bill and exp is like 8k. But we just want to prepare our self down. And we don't know which Nigeria bank is working in USA so that we don't face difficulty in bills payment. Your advise will be appreciated. Thanks. |

Please call your Uncle for these pieces of information. mercylicious234: Hi all, My uncle, (grandma's youngest brother) is an MD of a hospital in California. He specializes in family practice. I have not met nor communicated with him before but I intend to call him as I got his contact on internet. He has practiced there for over 40years. Left Naija before the war.
My question is, do you think his hospital births babies? I don't want to make a fool of myself. I want to call him and ask for a discount (not free). I have a place to stay in California, but heard the hospitals in California are expensive hence my interest in calling him for discount. |
