I have to agree with you there. |
Always cash-in on every opportunity to give in the house of God. Be prompt to pay your tithes, your first-fruit offerings, special seed offerings and other free-will offerings. Never let opportunities to give pass you by unutilized.Do people really believe this type of invitation to be milked? Give that same money to the needy, or put it in a bank account. The house of God? Sorry, but no. |
mightlove I just discovered a very painful truth yesterday about cooking oils. My God, they are so, so high in calories. 1 table spoon of cooking oil contains approx 120 calories. and i have been cooking with quite an amount of oil, anyway, all that is past, i have turned a new leaf now.romeo my sister na only cheese you dey chop? Te vas a morir de hambre Cheesy CheesyNo,no. tofu, too! Check out the total calories and it's not so low! And I have reserves I'm reducing. So much to learn, isn't there? What I find taxing is the measuring and weighing of EVERYTHING. I suppose it's brainfood, though. ![]() So, here's yesterday's log. Wednesday, 11 August Water: 2.2 litres Exercise: Side planks in the morning an evening, 15 each side. Food: A big salad divided between lunch and supper. 2 celery stalks 1 medium beetroot, cubed 100 grammes of slivered carrot 1 medium tomato, cubed. 100 grammes canónigos (Google translater say mache) I onion, cubed 1 lettuce heart. 2 Tablespoons of Olive oil herbs Modena vinegar. 150 grammes nofat cottage cheese. snack 8 cherries 50 grammes lo-fat cheese I confess! last night I had two glasses of good red wine with friends. With lofat cheese cubes. And I'm paying for it this morning! 1/2 glass of wine max for me! |
Quote from: careytommy on Yesterday at 07:05:10 PM is there any point in quoting yourselves since for now only are keenly exchanging ideascareytommy, exchanging ideas is what forums are for, don't you think? As for believing 'everything the bible says', do you really believe: the suns turns around the earth? the sun can stand still in the sky? the story of the Flood? |
The Living Faith Church, pastored by David Oyedepo for instance, is set to build the single largest housing estate in Africa in Ota, a programme that will astound many because of its sheer size and sophistication.Where can I learn more about this project? Could you post up some links to information, please? |
Modath, all the best in the UK. Take care! I'm impressed by the exercise routines people here do. I'm so lazy that the exercise I log here seems like a triumph to me! Here's yesterday's log: water: 2.3 litres exercise: sideplanks, 15 each side, morning and evening food: Lunch 1 1/2 cup sliced melon with1 teaspoon of honey 2 no-fat yoghurts Supper 1 1/2 cups sliced melon with some drops of lemon extract 150 grammes lo fat cottage cheese snack 50 grammes lofat Havarti cheese 1/2 glass good red wine It was one of those melons with no taste whatsoever. Could someone show me the chapter and verse where Jesus says it's OK to torture children? |

It's possible to turn dead body into money is if they sell the body to medical science. But even so, there will always be people, and not just in developing countries who believe this sort of nonsense. Even kill for it. |

This is the result of superstitious claptrap. Demons don't exist. Shame on all who support this! |

Gotten from the gov't, Pfizer or the Saudis. Wherever. Isn't it time to wipe out polio? |
This is very good advice, dappy. I wish you all the best. Keep us updated, please. |
Blank, here's a link that should clear up what 'irradicating' means. My bad for bad spelling! http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/eradicating But let's be honest here. The thread is out there for everyone to read. Urban legends are a bad base for deciding our children's health. Jenifa, your link says- A priest, president of Human Life International (HLI) based in Maryland, has asked Congress to investigate reports of women in some developing countries unknowingly receiving a tetanus vaccine laced with the anti-fertility drug human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). If it is true, he wants Congress to publicly condemn the mass vaccinations and to cut off funding to UN agencies and other involved organizations. The natural hormone hCG is needed to maintain pregnancy. The hormone would produce antibodies against hCG to prevent pregnancy. In the fall of 1994, the Pro Life Committee of Mexico was suspicious of the protocols for the tetanus toxoid campaign because they excluded all males and children and called for multiple injections of the vaccine in only women of reproductive age. Yet, one injection provides protection for at least 10 years. The Committee had vials of the tetanus vaccine analyzed for hCG. It informed HLI about the tetanus toxoid vaccine. HLI then told its World Council members and HLI affiliates in more than 60 countries. Similar tetanus vaccines laced with hCG have been uncovered in the Philippines and in Nicaragua. In addition to the World Health Organization (WHO), other organizations involved in the development of an anti-fertility vaccine using hCG include the UN Population Fund, the UN Development Programme, the World Bank, the Population Council, the Rockefeller Foundation, the US National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, and Uppsala, Helsinki, and Ohio State universities. The priest objects that, if indeed the purpose of the mass vaccinations is to prevent pregnancies, women are uninformed, unsuspecting, and unconsenting victims. What does this have to do with polio vaccines? In any case, the report is short on sources, long on rumour. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_chorionic_gonadotropin Check out the Wiki link I've posted. You may be surprised to learn what human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) actually is. |
yomijnr, this is good advice! Well, you both need to get tested again to confirm your results. Her result could have been a false positive or yours could have been a false negative. Either way you need to make sure. Also, being HIV positive is not the end of the world. For starters there's no need to terminate the pregnancy because of the mother's HIV status alone. There are drugs which can be taken to prevent transmission of the disease from mother to child. If turns out, she's truly HIV positive, then she will need to start taking the drugs immediately.May I add my own encouragement to have safe sex? And all my best wishes. |
Jenifa, where did you hear that about the anti-fertility campaign? Are you sure it's not an urban legend? Look at how blank was confused on the issue of vaccines. I think that education has to be a key issue here. But irradicating the horror of polio has to come first. |
^^^I agree that trousers are not mentioned in the Bible and this woman sounds like she's never read the Bible for herself, just relied on a pastor and a $harp barrister for advice. And yes, you have to read the fine print in any contract. And lastly, what kind of nurse or midwife doesn't understand the point behind strict hygiene? If there surgical uniforms for Muslims, though, then of course anyone should be allowed to use them. Including men. After all, Jesus didn't wear trousers, now did he? ![]() |
I'll join you in wishing a Happy Ramadan to all! |
I'm new here and don't to get people's backs up. BUT The polio vaccine is safe. It has irradicated polio in the countries where it's used. Please don't pass up the chance to inoculate your kiddies against the hideous suffering and life-long effects of this disease. |
Yehowah wrote: That a global cataclysmic flood occurred cannot be denied by considering all the evidence. All nations and all tribes have a story about the flood which has been likely corrupted if the story was passed down orally. I feel so sorry for those who have no knowledge that people in the past (around 1600 AM or 2500 BC) had technology much better than us and we are just beginning to catch up. We still cannot cut large blocks of stone like those ancients in Africa, America, Asia and Europe. Who built the Great Pyramid?? Who built the structures on Easter Island?? One block in Lebanon is so massive NO CRANE ON THIS PLANET CAN CARRY IT!!I don't understand about the fish. Surely salt water fish would die in all that fresh water of the Deluge, wouldn't they? And who cleaned up the excrements of all those animals during the Flood? I don't scoff at the Most High, brother. But I think many of the Bible stories are allegories, not facts. |

You have a point. BUT How is a woman supposed to get a higher education if she's marriage fodder so young? |
Please, have some respect for the family and friends and admirers of the dead. |
I'm so sorry. Such a sad waste of a great, God-given talent. RIP, Amy. |
Just what is sachet water? I mean to say, where does the water itself come from? |
What a treasure of a thread! I love the way it reflects what each contributer feels is important! |
