It is just funny that Africans are still siding with Russia, a country that invades another country, in this conflict. Russia had enough time to pursue the path of peace, but Putin chose to invade. Even when other Russian politicians apparently would have wanted him to continue with the negotiation with EU. Ukraine called for meeting with Putin just a day before the invasion, but he refused. Now do you think it it is funny to see your country being destroyed right in front of you with your decades of hardwork going up in flames.

Summary of this war is:

Ukraine will stop existing as a country if it refuses to fight back, while Russia can end this invasion by calling its soldiers back without any of them being harmed

If it were left to him, i would have preferred to use the money for empowerment rather than this unproductive charity thing. People are still going poor despite billions of Naira donated to charity, but empowering people gives them a feet to stand on and build their own wealth.

That is the problem of world war, it always triggers more wars at a far distance away. I am thinking USA and NATO did not want to intervene in this conflict because that will escalate things further. They are still hoping both sides can reach a truce.

In event that USA and NATO failed to intervene, China and Russia have also taken over from the USA and its allies too. You cannot overemphasize the importance fo soft powers in the global politics today. No country will dare to stand with USA and its allies against China and Russia interests if this outcome of using Ukraine as a sacrificial lamb is achieved

Russia is not invading because Ukraine is trying to join NATO. Russia is simply trying to rebuild old Soviet union. This war was inevitable no matter what Ukraine did

I tell you, people just keep saying rubbish about NATO to justify Russia expansion. Even most of the lands that Russia is occupying today, they stole from their neighbours, it has been a conquering instinct that has informed Russian foreign policy for many centuries before. Go and read about Russian expansion history, it was not until they got to Alaska in North America and Asia around Chinese borders with strong resistance from China before they stopped. Russia had to give up Alaska to USA because it is just too far away from their capital in Moscow. Throughout its history, Russia has always been conquering its weaker neighbours. This attitude of Russia is what is driving its neighbours toward NATO recently.

Is it even fair that Russians are occupying that much landmass (over 17 millions kilometers squares) that is very rich in minerals and energy resources that is called Russia today? I will say Russia is more or less a continent dominated by just 140 millions people.

At least if NATO cannot sacrifice men to fight Russia for Ukraine, they should have sent enough artilleries to back their Eastern ally up. Is it until Russians have taken up the strategic positions in the country and being at an advantage that NATO will come in? This war is not about Ukraine alone, it is about preventing Russia and China preeminence in the world and protecting the prestige of the West. Because if Ukrainians are left alone to fight Russia and are defeated, then no country will dare to stand with the West against Russia and China interests again?
