![]() For the abusive Buhari fans!! They were so many but most of them didn't have voters card!! I wondered why there were so abusive!!! |
Polling Unit yesterday!!

Eko Ile:Good news is that thousands of people have seen this thread and appreciate the conversion of the road from a death trap to a smooth and passable jolly ride! Many from those thousands would be voting Jonathan on account of the fixing of the road. So while you sulk in your bitterness at progress being achieved because you hate the achiever, my advice for you is simple. Tommorow at the polls, thumbprint [s]Umblllerrra[/s]. That way you wouldn't be wasting your vote on someone that the 'Law of Karma" would not allow to ever lead this nation under a democracy!! |
naijaking1:Truly!! Cant wait!! Need to get back to normalcy!! If anything, we've had I think the most interesting elections in the history of Nigeria!! |
Jarus:Ok Jarus, maybe I overshot on this one. My apologies. However, you misunderstood my use of the word "torment". By torment, I was trying to refer to the feeling most GEJ supporters would have had when being bullied and insulted by Buhari supporters(and trust me it was rampant), and looking the side of the mods for succour, they remember that both mods are straight up Buhari supporters. That could be tormenting. Ok no, It doesn't justify my use of the word torment. It really doesn't fit. Sincerely, my apologies!!! I really don't think you tormented GEJ supporters. I just tried to make a metaphoric expression, but it didn't come out properly!! You've been on great mod and surely one NLander that I would always respect!! |
efisher:On point my brother!! Buhari has done it before and he will do it again. He promulgrated Decree 4 that killed freedom of speech while Jonathan ensured the passage of FOI bill. If you run an institution that is dependent on free speech , you have everyright to protect not just the institution but your own personal freedom from the likes of Buhari who if they get another handle on power would find a way to muzzle you and destroy your institution! Nairaland is an institution dependent on free speech, Hence Seun has every right to protect both his institution and his personal freedom from the prospect of a Buhari invasion. On the real, Seun has been balanced. For every anti Buhari thread on the homepage, there is Anti Gej thread. When Jarus and Aisha2 tormented pro GEJ supporters for the last three months, nobody complained. |
BIG QUESTION: Why is this only possible in Buhari's North ![]() Aren't these under age voters the reason why the north west recorded 19.8 million voters Without the 19.8 million voters would Buhari stand the slimmest chance of winning the elections Ask yourself this question, why don't you see these kinds of underage voters in the South or Middle belt![]() To the best of my knowledge, the CPC is more responsible for these underage voters than any other party since this pattern has been noticed only in areas CPC stronghold!! Most Buhari supporters are hoping on these under age voters for victory come saturday!! |
honeric01:I didn't snap the picture. Because you asked for a pic, I told someone that traveled the road to get me some shots. This is what was snapped. If after seeing this picture, you still have the effontary to doubt me, then for you, it is not about the road, but about your hatred for Jonathan. There's something called narrow vision and what you are doing exemplifies that. Jonathan is fixing roads whether you think Buhari is the right man for the job doesn't take away from the fact that Benin Ore road is smooth again. |
Donlittle:Sadly, the dailies print only what they are paid to talk about. There is no journalism in Nigeria. The only time you'll hear them talk about it is if the Government pays them to talk about it. It sad but its the reality!! If you know anyone that travels that road frequently, call them and ask them how the road is now. Maybe then, you'll finally believe me!! |
blacksta:You still have 2 days to make up your mind to thumbprint |

^^^^^^ It's so sad that you guys are not happy that the elections were free and fair. Everybody commended the election. The international observers commended it. I understand your annoyance. The fact that the credible elections increased Jonathan's ratings and put paid to your principal's chances is making you hate free and fair elections. You have nothing to complain about any longer, so you are getting depressed. What a way to live!! |
funken:@Funken, let us put your analogy in better perspective. Look at it this way, You work for a company and you put in 10-12hr days everyday and then at the end of the month your salary is delayed and when it s finally paid, you get only half of it. Your boss eats the rest. This goes on for 11 years and because there is no alternative, you just accept it as it is. Then suddenly, your MD is sacked and a new one is brought it. The new MD pays your salary in full at the exact time it should be paid. Question: Would you celebrate, jubilate and thank the MD for being different from the previous by paying your salary completely and at the right time?? Truth is Nigerians are celebrating the fixing of the road because since our new MD, Goodluck Jonathan came on board, he has been doing things that make our lives easier. This is the same reason Lagosians are celebrating Fashola. People should be celebrated when they do their jobs especially when those jobs were ignored by previous leaders. When the country becomes more developed and when fixing roads stops being a big deal, we would be glad to celebrate leaders for more complex achievements like Fiscal responsibility, R & D, International diplomacy and Complex structural economic advancements and the like. For now, simple basics would do. And we will continue to celebrate the likes of Donald Duke, Tunde Fashola and Goodluck Jonathan. |
Ibime:My broda, you dey obodo oyibo, so you have no idea what Nigerians passed thru on that road. Anybody that had traveled that road in the last 5 years, and travels it today would thank whomever has made that road smooth again. Nobody cares whether its a resurfacing, reconstruction or a rehabilitation. People just want to get from point A to point B without having to undergo the life threatening scenarios that the road previously presented. If you read thru the thread you will realise that all those that travel the road are appreciative of the fact that it has been smoothened. Those like you that are negative have never travelled the road so you don't understand why people are appreciative!! You are in London enjoying the centuries of labor of others, you never take out time to think how all that progress came about. Ibime,You are a smart man, do some more studies on development and you'd appreciate the change that is taking place in Nigeria under Jonathan. |
Lovely. Nice write up. Poetry at its finest. It is defeatist though, as it indicates that Nigeria has rejected the general, hence the tears. True, true! |
efisher:Dude Mehn, you are genius!! I tap from you wisdom!! |
Kobojunkie:A) Kobojunkie= Principle is standing till the end even if you are sure you are wrong. Just stand till the end. efisher:B) Efisher = Principle is feeling free to review your actions to ensure you are making the right decisions. IQ CHECK ____________________________ A= -100 B= +140 |
Lagosboy:Not you. You'be been one good BB fan at least of recent. Other good ones are Kilode, Jarus and Zeeleso. The rest are just intolerant folks insulting everybody that is not with BB. Please help me give them this message: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=645807.msg8117975#msg8117975 Thanks! |
See them (BB fans) insulting Knowall because he has seen the light!! What kind of intolerance is this This is bad mehn!! We need to learn to be tolerant no matter what views others have!! The same religious vigour that sees terrorists bombing innocent citizens is the same kind of intolerance that is been visited on those that choose to take a stand in line with their conscience. This is not a religion that says if you convert, you should be killed. This is an election please and people should be free to switch sides!!@Knowall You are one man I respect!! You views right and your knowledge is tight!! |
^^^^^ ^^^^^ Mr Honeric, I will probably be able to paste pictures for you later 2day!! So just chill. I said I passed the road and it has practically been fixed. Fixing it was not what impressed me. It is the quality of fixing that impressed me. It's amazing that you would be sad that a road that had been a death trap is finally being fixed. Thats a pathetic way to live. Lets forget the fact that its Jonathan that fixed it and lets just celebrate the fact that people would stop dying aimlessly on the road. Lets Celebrate progress, no matter where it comes from!! |
Beaf:True that!!! The beautiful thing with Jonathan is that when a contract is signed, you can be rest assured that the job would be done!! That's what we can see from all the projects coming to fruition in such a short while!! |
otokx:Benin to Warri is manageable Haba Otokx?? That road is the best there is in Nigeria. I lived overseas for donkey years and I can tell you categorically that the Benin Warri road is comparable to the average dual carraige road available in America or Europe!! The ongoing Dualization of Warri Port Harcourt has increased in tempo. Benin Ore is smooth again. These are some of the most important roads in Nigeria and with just 10 months on the saddle we are seeing all these roads coming back to life!!otokx:We cruised at that speed on the Benin Ore section. There are no checkpoints on the way to Lag, its only when you are returning you see checkpoints. On Warri-Benin you can do 200km per hr if you fit, the only wahala is the number of checkpoints. Warri-PH is not yet smooth but the dualization is on top gear compared to before Jonathan came to power!! |
funken:@Funken Yes I also expect more, but I'm no ignoramus, so I expect it to be made passable first so people can stop dying on it, before it would be reconstructed!! If they have to start reconstruction today, it would take at least 4 years even in America to complete, so where do you expect passengers to use in the period of the reconstruction. We have to be realistic please. This road was a death trap for ages. I remember twice travelling through that road. Because there was an immense hold up, vehicles were passing thru a bush road. We joined on the bush road and there was a huge hold up in the bush for over 5km where we stayed for hours! If you ever experienced the horror on that road, then you will commend a man who just got here 10 months ago and suddenly the road is passable. I rode past last week and we did Benin- Lagos in 3hrs cruising at something like 150km per hr with little or no hindrance!! That was impossible 6 months ago!! The fact that you hate Jonathan doesn't take away from the fact that the road has been improved immensely! |
How to avoid being an emotional wreck after Saturday's elections _______________________________________________________________________________________________ A Message to all BB Fans It is hard to be so passionate at something and see it fall like a pack of cards. Failing is a part of the human existence and it isn't neccesarily a bad thing depending on how we handle it. The BB train has crashed and would be given a final blow on saturday. As a good friend to all BB fans, I have come up with a solution to help avoid the pain that comes after a collosal failure. My advice to all BB fans is to save yourself from being an emotional wreck after JEGA announces the result. Do it this way. Its simple. Do it for yourself, your family and your loved ones. 1)Take off your BB glasses 2) Take a look at Jonathan again. 3) Identify his positives and accept them. 4) Erase the memory of Buhari and Bakare from your psyche 5) Thumbprint 6 On sunday and subsequently, you will experience goodluck and a breathe of fresh air!! Follow these simple steps and you'll be proud of yourself. |
Only last week they(BB Fans) thought they were a force to reckon with. Now they have lost hope. That is what sentimentalism and emotional intensity brings It blinds you to reality. If only they(BB and their fans) had been pragmatic they would have known their weaknesses and sought to shore them up. Instead, they went around insulting GEJ and his fans and tried hard to make them look like the enemies of Nigeria. Little did they know they were in the minority. But the signs were there for all to see, but again sentimentalism ans emotional intensity are blinders so realistic appraisal takes the back sit. My advice to all BB fans is to save yourself the emotional wreck that comes after a loss. Do it this way. Its simple. 1)Take off your BB glasses 2) Take a look at Jonathan again. 3) Identify his positives and accept them. 4) Erase the memory of Buhari and Bakare from your psyche 5) Thumbprint Follow these simple steps and you'll avoid being an emotional wreck after saturday's elections |
jason123:Wasn't it the military that removed federalism from our constitution?? We are saying the same thing!! If democracy was allowed to continue in 1983, surely that federalism thing would have returned to our constitution by now!! It was only a matter of time. |
ALL seven reasons given are the exact reasons Buhari's CPC lost on saturday and would be given a final death blow come April 16th!!! The man I now pity is Bakare. As someone rightly pointed, he is being traded like a commodity in the murky market called politricks!! So much for a man with dignity!! VOTE JONATHAN FOR IMMENSE PROGRESS, EQUAL ACCESS AND EXCESS SUCCESS |
blacksta:Yes, Nigeria is messed up. It got messed up by the incursion of the military into our political space on December 31st 1983. The same folks that messed it up are the same folks that keep fighting against the Jonathan presidency. Surely God is on his side seeing how he has defeated all their strategies one by one!!! |
^^^^^ Very warped form of reasoning!!! So construction of roads is a fundamental human right and tackling of corruption and accountability are not Hmmm!!!Can I ask you which of these two are responsible for Fashola's popularity?? Is it construction of roads or tackling corruption To the best of my knowledge, Fashola hasn't tackled corruption, so can you tell my why a vote for him is in the right direction??GEJ is doing the right thing by fixing our roads, revamping the rails, getting the power sector right!! There is no vacancy in Aso Rock and only last saturday, the people spoke in one loud voice- They have rejected Buhari's CPC and accepted Jonathan's PDP!! |
!!!The bitter taste of Losing is dawning slowly on the BB fans. My advice to them is to save themselves the pain and thumbprint |
Pataki:Exploits that saw Buhari losing his homebase to the very unpopular PDP If voting was done on Naiaraland and in the mosques alone, then maybe Buhari would have a chance!! My advice to all BB supporters come saturday is to not waste their votes. Thumbprint on |
