All these Yoruba people you are just fighting yourselves for nothing.
If these northerners go and bring a candidate from the north in PDP to contest against APC in 2022 what will you do?
Nothing!

What they have succeeded in doing is to bring buhari to power the second term by mobilizing the greater vote from the Maiduguri, sokoto, katsina, borno and Adamawa states with infant children voting and you know that votes from Lagos state alone cannot beat all that grin

God's will is what we will be experiencing if his government start controlling the earth!

People will not die again {Isaiah 65:21-25} sickness will disappear {Isaiah 33:24} no more crime {Psalms 37:9-11} there will be no more wars or killings {Micah 4:1-3} natural disasters will be gone {Mark 4:37-41} everyone will have equal rights and none will be richer than the other {Micah 4:4} no more disabilities {Isaiah 35:6} abundance of food everywhere {Psalms 72:16} in fact God said he will blessed all those living by then! Psalms 67:6

Presently Satan is the ruler of the earth! John 14:30; 2Corinthians 4:4; 1John 5:19

That's why Satan could offer Jesus a faster chance of ruling the earth rather than for Jesus to wait until God's appointed time! Luke 4:6

So anyone participating in worldly politics today is sharing tables with Satan, that's why there is ritual killings everywhere, Satan wants to get people fully involved in his evil. They're having all what they could have now, because when God's kingdom is about to start they'll all be exterminated! Daniel 2:44

I never said anything about this topic here but because you asked, i'll explain what the Bible says about the topic.

Humans were created NOT to rule themselves but to allow God set standards for right and wrong! Genesis 2:17

Sadly the first human pair detests that idea so they rebelled against God and that's what caused all the troubles we are facing on earth today! Genesis 3:17-19

God supposed to be our King not humans, but since then humans have been ruling humans and the result has been really terrible! Ecclesiastes 4:1;8:9

Because of his mercies God decided to rescue OBEDIENT descendants of Adam from the curse so he set up a government to redeem mankind back to himself. This government will be headed by a King who knew God's righteous standards, he will use this standard to teach and train us how to return to God's blessings as his beloved children.
The chosen king is Jesus, he will have corulers who will sit with him in his government (Kingdom), they will rule the earth from heaven.

So it's the benefits of this righteous Government that we are praying for whenever we say

Our heavenly Father let your kingdom (government) come, let your will (what you purpose for humans in the beginning before Adam and Eve sinned) take place on planet earth as it is happening in heaven, please let it be extended to your obedient children here on Earth! Matthew 6:9-10
ok ,
You are saying that when Christ says let your will takes place on planet earth he meant the kingdom of God should be on earth?
I totally agree with that.

Is the kingdom already on earth with us today or it is coming in our future?

There is no dogma in true Christianity!

The word "BELIEVE" connotes "TRUST", so before we put our trust in any teaching we first listen to the doctrines (theories) ask for the way to go about it (practical application) and examine what will come out of it (benefits).

That's why Jehovah's Witnesses study the Bible thoroughly with an interested person for a lengthy period of time before such a person could become one of us. He must know what we believe, learn how to go about it and examine what will be the outcome.

This is totally different from worthless religious dogmas infused in the brains of churchgoers, making them members of a religious organization that they can't even preach or teach what they were taught to trust (believe) with efficacy. That's why it's only Jehovah's Witnesses that can stand to preach, teach and defend their BELIEFS (WHAT THEY TRUST) anytime, anywhere and before anyone!

As for marriage, Many tried all their effort to marry a dedicated JW but they couldn't!

Do you still remember Michael Jackson? Well his mother became one of Jehovah's Witnesses and because Michael love his mother so much, he tried to gain her concent before getting married, his mother insisted that she can't bless his marriage if he's not marrying one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Michael decided to please his mother but since the mother is a bonafide member who knew all our rules, she tried to help her son get a DEDICATED JW for him all to no avail!

WHY?

Because he couldn't meet up with the requirements of a dedicated servant of Jehovah!

That was what took him so long before he finally gave up and married one out of billions of those dying to have him as a husband outside our organization!

For your information, Michael wasn't wayward because he has learnt so much about true Christian doctrines from his mother, even most people who noticed that he's not flirting with any girl thought he must be gay, when they got to know that is not the case, they concluded he is a pedophile because he loves children. They accused him of pedophilia several times but after his death all of them took to the social media saying
"We lied against Michael just to get money from him, he never committed any of those crimes"

I'm telling you this for you to know how so many people out there are dying to have dedicated servants of Jehovah as their soulmate! smiley

Are you a believer?
ofcourse yes!
Do you believe in prayer?
yes, i do believe in prayer
Should couples pray together?
ofcourse yes! They should pray together
In what name should they pray?
the Christian should pray in the name of Jesus, while the Muslim should pray according to his Islamic way. But their prayer point should touch one thing they want.

Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you,That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
Can they just pray when one doesn't believe (trust) in Jesus name?
ofcourse yes!
They can ask anything together it will be done to them.

What do you take God for, a fundamentalist who do good to only those that believes in him?

Remember, a scripture says the same rain that falls on the crops of a good man that same rain will fall on the crops of an evil man.

And here is just a Muslim who is not an evil man, if God could answer the prayer of an evil man, then he should answer that of a Muslim who is not evil.

See, even if the person is an atheist he does not believe God exist and at some point he wishes something good for himself, God will will grant him that thing, not minding whether he recognize him or not.

It's like you don't know this God grin

Or have you not seen Muslims that are much successful than a whole lot of Christians?
That tells you that God is not bias when it comes to answering prayers.

But however, the only difference is, the Muslim is not saved while the Christian is saved.
Period!

Either you a Muslim or trying to be religiously correct.
wrong diagnosis!
Why is that when people are not looking at things at your point of view you tend to conclude that they are not Christians?
Most Christians of the African extract are always guilty of that fallacy
The Bible and the English word is clearly explicit on what yoke meant not in your perceived concept
and the application of the word yoke necessarily implies the couple sharing problems in marriage?
What about a believer sharing the problems of not believing in Christ with an unbeliever as it is applied to that scripture, what happens to that one, you have abandoned it and your mind is going to problems in marriage?

Read the whole chapter of that scripture and draw out the basic idea Paul was trying to point out.

Let me say this clearly, when Paul wrote that scripture "do not be equally yoked together with unbelievers" he never had marriage in mind. Infact, there is no verse of the whole of that chapter that marriage was mentioned that you will now draw from there to say that Paul was talking about marriage.

According that scripture, the problem a Christian will have when he decides to join with unbelievers and stop believing in Christ is that he will loose his salvation like the unbeliever. (Whosever does not believe is condemned already. John 3:18).
That is what it meant to be equally yoked together with unbelievers.

The yoke there represent loosing salvation which arises from not believing in Christ and that is the problem shared.

is 2corinthas 6vs 14 old testament?

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, and it's been pointed out to you here an unbeliever is the one who denounces the death and resurrection of Christ of such spirit is also of the Antichrist.

My reference to old testament was that specifically on marriage there has been ordinances where God himself directed his people on where to marry from.

You probably looking at it from new testament after Christ new beginning but fail to realize that even though Christ died for everyone, the purpose and actualization of his death only exist for those who believe he died and resurrected for them.

So why we have no problem with an unbeliever, we must remember they still denounce the evidence of Christ (of such spirit is of the Antichrist) and you can't be the temple of Christ while been spiritually yoked by marriage with an Antichrist (remember the bond between a husband and wife has deep spiritual bind)
the scripture says do not be equally yoked together with unbelievers, it did not say do not marry unbelievers.

We have already established that to be equally yoked together in the context of that scripture does not mean marrying unbelievers, rather it means to believe what unbelievers believe that is against the believe of Christ.

I fully grasp your point of view on the issue but i want you to know that Christianity has NOTHING in common with liberalism.
very true!
But a Christian who want to be liberal has power to be so at the same he remains a Christian.
Granted the Jews lived their lives in line with worthless dogmas of no benefit. But Jesus (Christ) the founder of Christianity made it clear in his speeches that he is not liberal! John 8:28
John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them,When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

there is nothing in this statement that shows that Jesus is conservative.
Doing what his father has thought him does not mean being conservative.
According to Jesus, he has no thought of his own when dealing with other creatures from his father, he doesn't even try having his own mind in crusial cases that has to do with his very own life! Luke 22:42
you are not getting the definition of the word Liberal as it applies. That's why i brought out the definition from a dictionary for you to see.
Take note of the word dogma in that definition.
Are you saying what God thought Jesus to do is a dogma and Jesus has to do the instructions not minding the instructions are dogma?

I told you, being liberal implies the individual ignoring the aspects of the doctrine that are dogma and uphold those doctrines that adequate. Infact, that's what makes a person a good Christian.

Not that everything you hear pastors teaching ,bad or good, you unhold them simply because simply because a pastor you admire so much is preaching the doctrine.
And a pastor who preaches to you that it is wrong to marry a Muslim as a Christian, that pastor is preaching a dogma and as a liberal christian you have to scrutinize that kinda faulty doctrine and stand by the truth.
but when the first human couple (Adam and Eve) chose to have the minds of their own on issues
Adam and eve were primitive people, they had primitive minds that's why they could not obey simple instruction from God.
But you are more educated today than Adam and eve and moreover, there is no such instruction from God that a Christian should not marry a Muslim.
If your heart goes to a Muslim and you are in love enough to marry her and you do, that will never affect your relationship with God neither will it affect her relationship with the Islam and Muhammad she believes so long both of you respect your different beliefs.
See, religion is just absolutely nothing.
Religion is one major problem that is causing division among people.
We have the power to control the tenets of religion towards having a better life not that religion will be controlling us.
What type of children will faithless couples raise?
I don't get it, what do you mean by faithless couples?
One of them having faith(a Christian) and the other does not have faith in Christ(a Muslim), is that what you mean by faithless couple?

If the couples themselves have personal moral values(remember the assumption is that both parents are good people) then they should pass their morals to their children and a good parent should not impose any of the religions to any of their children. Let them choose for themselves which of the religions they want.
most times faithless couples assaults, curse, cheat and do so many other things to hurt each other but after a quicky they put all those things behind them and continue living together again. Children born/raised in such atmosphere will see all of these and it's certain that they may not survive such if they grow up to find
there are Christian couples who do all these too.
Infact, I have a lot of them in church who abandoned their children to become wayward

Personally, i don't recommend a Christian to marry a Muslim because of all these matrimonial vices and problems, but all I'm saying is if both the Christian and Muslim understand each other enough to marry and avoid these problems, then their religion diffences does not have any ground against their union.
I'm talking about Jehovah's Witnesse!
those ones they are not people now, who in his right senses will marry a Jehovah witness? grin

]No paxonel, we aren't saying the same thing. We are talking about marriage here but you are bringing in love/ hate situation. The fact that a believer can't marry a Muslim does not culminate into hatred and the fact that a believer loves a Muslim or any unbeliever, agape love, does not mean marrying such.

The point l made earlier which l will reiterate is that since a believer does not share the same faith, does not possess the same Spirit with an unbeliever, the union of the two will be chaotic.
ok, I agree with you that a believer not marrying a Muslim does not mean hate.
But again, if a Muslim with good intention request to marry a Christian and she refuse simply because they do not possess the same spirit, then that isn't a good reason for her to reject him. Therefore, there are some reservations that she is having against Muslims generally.
I understand that a good number of Muslims are not well mannered, the conservative ones among them can be annoying with serious fundamental issues towards people they consider unbelievers and so on, but I'm saying that not all Muslims are like that. So, it will be wrong for a Christian to generalise that because most Muslims behaves this way, then it is the different spirit they have that is controlling them to behave that way therefore i can't marry anything Muslim.

It will be wrong to generalise like that.

There is nothing like "liberal Christians or Muslims"!
An English dictionary definition of the word Liberal
one who forms opinions on the basis of reason independently of authority; especially : one who doubts or denies religious dogma

An English definition of the word Dogma
a point of view or tenet put forth as authoritative or doctrine without adequate grounds

I will say it is as a result of the inadequacies in most church doctrines and points of view which are dogma, that has resulted to liberalism in Christianity today.

So, there are liberal Christians and Muslims
What most people don't know is that there are so many freethinkers claiming Christians/Muslims
it is a very good and welcomed development especially when the freethinkers point of view comes from good reasoning.
Faith is the assured expectation of things you're hoping to get, the evident demonstration of realities even though others aren't grasping it! Hebrew 11:1

Faith is the high fence standing in between the believer and unbelievers, we can relate as
Neighbours
Colleagues
Course mates
Landlord and Tenant
Business associates or partners
But when talking of Marriage, it's totally a different thing!
we don't run marriage by faith, we run marriage by understanding. So leave faith out of marriage.

Faith is faith, marriage is marriage.
Just like a scripture says what is flesh is flesh, and what is spirit is spirit.

If you mis-run your marriage, there is no amount of faith that can save it by the time it crumble.
But if you run your marriage well and both of are enjoying it, you can never give faith the credit for that but you give the credit to the understanding both of you have for each other.
Two separate individuals
please don't conclude that because the people involved may be of separate religion therefore they are totally separate individuals in all aspects as that kinda conclusion will always come from a very wrong premises
why the Bible admonition emphatically says "ONLY IN THE LORD".
the bible did not admonish that it must be only in the lord. Before i come speaking i have read through the whole new testament pertaining to who a Christian should marry or not.
I don't know where you got that from
It's extremely impossible for a true Christian to tie the nut with someone having a totally different religious belief.
that is because you have never seen it work before.

I did my nysc in the north i know what i saw.
So whenever you find someone says he or she finds nothing wrong in such an unholy union, know today that they're freethinkers NOT Christians! smiley
you haven't successfully established that a Christian cannot be a freethinker. Are you saying that for one to be a Christian he should not have brain to think on his own?

But on the contrary, everytime i read Jesus Christ in the bible confounding the scribes and Pharisees and their dogma, He always use parables which require thinking to understand.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.Romans8:9.

So where does liberality stand in this? It's either you are a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ or you are not. There is no sitting on the fence here paxonel. If a man has not the Spirit of Christ, he/ she is none of His.
we are still saying the same thing.
Let's assume Muslims do not have the spirit of Christ and they are non of Christ according to this scripture you quoted. Then, must you as a Christian fight God's battle?
That battle between Christ and Muslims is only meant for God to fight and not for you.

As a matter of fact, God will never side you for hating a Muslim because he doesn't believe in Christ. And if you choose to love them, God will be very happy for you because you are behaving like his child.
Therefore, your own is to show everyone love irrespective of who they are without any discrimination.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:14
A believer in the Lord Jesus Christ is saved by grace, led by the Holy Spirit, guided by the word of God. Can this be said of an unbeliever? How can the two coexist serving different masters?

The believer holds allegiance to the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the whole world, the Lord Jesus Christ, the unbeliever dont even want His name mentioned and you think love will suffice in such union? Nah! Chaos will be the order of the day.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot, serve God and mammon. Matt6:24

quote author=paxonel post=86626890] what do you mean by common ground?
it is not all unbelievers that do not want Jesus name to be mentioned, not all unbelievers are antichrists.
There are a good number of Muslims who doesn't count religion as anything talkess of allowing it to affect their relationship with other people. So are also many liberal Christians like that.
Christianity EtcRe: Is It OK For A Christian To Marry A Muslim? by paxonel(m):
Bodydialect57:
Nah! Many things are wrong with a Christian marrying a Muslim. For one, the both aren't on a common ground.
what do you mean by common ground?
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that BELIEVETH with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 2corinthians 6:14-16.
take note of the emboldened, it explains the mind of Paul when he was saying this.
Also, take note of the word in capital letter BELIEVETH, I think that is the basis of salvation. John 3:16.

Obviously, the Corinthians who were Christians at that time believed in Christ at the same time believed in other religions. So, Paul is telling them if you do that then you are equally yoked together with unbelievers. It's like he was telling them you can't serve two masters at the same time.
In this context, an infidel is someone who does not believe in the Christ that you believe, example a Muslim. Therefore his master is Muhammed. And you that believe in Christ, your master is Jesus.
If you for the sake love, you get married to a Muslim who does not believe in Christ. Though both of you are serving two different masters such that he or she is not saved but your are saved, that does not stop you two to be committed your the love you had for each other .

Remember, Jesus said my kingdom is not of this world : meaning : his kingdom has nothing to do with your decisions to do anything in this world other than you believing in him.

So, if you saying as a Christian you love Muslims but you do not love them to the extent of getting married to them. It's a lie, Jesus Christ did not say you should not love infidels to the extent of not getting married to them.
Infact, he want you treat everyone equally whether they are Christians or not.

Please Sir, don't waste your precious time on the paxonel guy. It doesn't take deep spiritual intelligence to know that he is not a believer in the Lord and has no real personal relationship with the Lord, hence he remains separated from God, steeped in his sins, awaiting an unprepared meeting with his Maker. We treat men like him with the caution of 1Tim1:4,6. We could easily answer the foolishness of such with scriptures showing their error but it wouldn't help them because they don't see their need to correct the errors and sins in their lives, but having seen their helplessness against their slavemaster, Sin, posture themselves to transfer their aggression on God and His worshippers, not realising that if they are not wise enough to deal with their sin problem, they wouldnt be to understand God and His ways. He ignorantly thinks he can create enough "eye-opening" questions and refutations to make the enlightened embrace his darkness but until darkness for once switches light off in the physical, he will only keep admiring his own folly. Let us keep hoping the best for him, that he finds the mercy of our God, and His liberation in Jesus Christ from His sin, rather than to end up in hell under his bondage to sin and death.
I wanted to also chip in that though our universe will be destroyed eventually, yet we are, for now, to pray God's kingdom on earth to permeate all systems including science and technology, education, government, economy etc. Because if we believers are able to demonstrate the superiority of our God and His heavenly system in all such earthly systems, many more will be saved, and the sacrifice of our Lord will reap what is deserved. So we are to remain actively engaged, seeking to bring a systemic revolution from heaven that teaches the world the superiority of the ways of God in every sphere. Afterall much of the progress men boast of today in science today started because true Christians like Faraday, Newton, Edison, Maxwell, Tesla began to correlate the spiritual realm and the natural, hence bringing understanding that helps men today.

you people in Africa are so ridiculously ignorant, I wonder what kinda pastors we have in Africa and the wrong Christian fundamentals they keep teaching you people.

Anyone who believes in Christ is truly a Christian there is nothing anyone can do about that.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

That is what I have already done a long time ago there is nothing you can do about it, you are not God to determine whether I'm a Christian or not, you don't even know what's on my mind grin

However, all what i was saying here has nothing to do with anyone's salvation.
All I have been saying is that, African Christians like you are all corrupt people and it is truly reflecting in your polity.

What is causing the corruption in Africa?
Tradition.

Does the bible have solution? The answer is yes!

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

My man. You have wickedly perverted the gospel cheesy.
grin grin grin

A review of what we practice in the name of region can never he avoided.
The truth is, our modern day doctrines are terribly flawed, you will discover this when you read the whole new testament from Matthew to revelation and draw out a conclusion.
It will be a waste of time to try n educate you as I see you r aet in this foolishness.
no! It's never waste of time.
Pick just one aspect of how i explained those scriptures and prove me wrong with it by giving an alternative explanation that relate to the who story behind the life of Jesus on earth.
Just one grin

The truth is, you will not be able to do it because you have never read the book of Matthew from the beginning to the end and draw out a summary.

I have read through the book of Matthew a number of times and I'm still seeing the same summary. Which is, Jesus took a journey from Galilee to Jerusalem with his disciples, and nothing can change that truth.
Know something though, that day will come as a thief in the night.
there is a scripture that Christ mentioned thief in the night.
Go back to that scripture, come back and tell me what Jesus meant by thief in the night grin

See, Nigerians are terribly confused people.

If you travel abroad, the way white men understand this bible is totally different. These whitemen, they are so intelligent.
The truth is, Africans have been played, they have been subjected to some kind of a mental slavery all because may be we can't read.

Some school of thought says if you want to hide information to Africans, write it in a book and give to him, he will not read it grin

That thing appear to be so true
Truthfully, for everyman the end is at his physical death because it is ordained for man to die once afterwhich, judgement
this is exactly the truth you have just spoken.
But when you say a lie, i will tell you it is a lie because i will know grin
but there is actually a second coming of Yeshua in which the earth shall be destroyed and judged.
now you have spoken a lie that the earth will be destroyed grin
How do i know it is a lie?

Read Matthew 13:24-30

Not that in that parable the farm was not destroyed simply because any enemy came to sow tares among the seed. Infact both the tares and the seed were allowed to grow together after which the seeds were separated from the tares. The field itself wasn't destroyed.
The field in that parable represent the world.
That doctrine was preached all through the epistles and early church. They yearned for it.
that was era of slavery where people never had access to quality education.
That kinda ignorance is not sustainable anymore this generation that there is education, knowledge and understanding.
How can the disciples be asking Yeshua for the sign of His coming when He was already there present with them cool. Does that even make sense to you?
I'm telling you that what the disciples was thinking when they asked Jesus that question in Matthew 24 is totally different from what we are thinking today.

Do you know that the disciples and Israel at large were expecting the coming of the Messiah who they expected to come and save them because they were in bondage of the Roman empire at that time?
No, if you say what I'm telling you now I'm lying, prove me wrong with a scripture grin
It's obviously another coming not the perversion displayed in your post.
we have been mislead to think that it is another coming. But if you have ever read the whole book of Matthew and summize, you will discover that it's another thing entirely.

What the bible meant by second coming is the day we die. This is the day Jesus is coming the second time to judge us.

It is appointed once for men to die after that, judgement.
The gospel is not a gospel without the message of the end of the world.
the end of the world is the day you die.
Everyone have different date their individual world will end, that is the day Jesus will come the second coming to judge
But I dont expect you to understand this things. It's good to develope Africa cheesy.
why will you develop what you think will be destroyed someday, does that make sense? grin

You see why Africans are lagging behind in development?
Because they don't see the need.
The world has been developing since Sumeria so nothing new. The world will pass away with its lusts. Pls do not be deceived.
I agree it is nothing new, but development is progressive. Sometimes it take a very long time to achieve and the civilization achieved can be destroyed in one day, yet there will always be succession, It will be rebuild
This your post right here, is wicked and demonic my friend grin
the mandate God gave to mankind when he created man was to replenish this earth and subdue it.
Christ died and resurrected to restore the glory Adam and eve lost, all to help man live on this earth forever and pursue that same mandate of replenish this earth.

Infact, whether you like it or not we are all into that same mandate that's why you find yourself going to school, acquiring knowledge and getting a job which may include building construction, town planning and environmental reclamation.

I tell you what is demonic, anything that is against this mandate is demonic.
When you see boko haram reading Quran that they should kill infidel and they find themselves killing, maiming and destroying, that is demonic.
When a Christian reads bible and all he sees is craving for the end of the world containing the effort and achiements of mankind, meanwhile his mandate was suppose to replenish the world rather than ending it,Then that is the most demonic thing ever grin

Mat24 is clearly about the return of the Lord from heaven to earth and unfolding and preceding events as shown here.
point of correction, not "return" but "coming of the lord "
The Jews were waiting for the coming of the Messiah which he came to die and resurrect 2000 years of which many Jews today are still waiting for his coming, unknown to them he has already come and died.
Now what else do you want?
A fictious fly of saints in the sky to heaven ?
Una go wait tire, don't go and think of how to be useful to this world and humanity, keep waiting for a fake doctrine of rapture that is not real or scriptural.

This modern day that there is technological advancement people are going to moon to make research, Africa is still lagging behind in terms of development waiting for rapture.
Una go wait tire grin

You think you can fool God?
Matthew 24:26-31
[26]Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
i have told you, as at that time the Jews were waiting for the coming of Christ.
Many of them never thought that the Jesus they saw carrying out miracles healing people in those days was the Christ they were waiting for. Some of them thought he will come through a secret chamber or he will be in the desert or something
[27]For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west;
this is just a figurative statement of Christ like a parable : it means the journey(movement) of Christ and his disciples like the direction of a thunder from galilee(east of Israel) to Jerusalem(west of Israel) where Christ was to be crucified.(some of these revised standard version of the bible with maps will explain this better)

See, when you read certain aspect of the bible like this, put on your spiritual thinking capacity, don't read these kind of scriptures as if you are reading a text book or you will be so lost.

The bottom-line I'm telling you is, Christ journey with his disiples through the desert to Jerusalem(if you are conversant with the story), his death and resurrection at Jerusalem has finished everything, don't expect anything again.

THAT VERY JOURNEY IN THE DESERT WAS THE GREAT TRIBULATION.

You are now expecting rapture, I don't know where the ancient catholic Roman empire got that one from?
Certainly not the bible.

[28]For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
this is another parable now.
You know what carcase is?
It means dead corpse.
When there is a dead corpse in the desert you will see all these scavengers like vultures gathering around it.
That was how the great tribulation was.
There were over 5000 disciples who eat five bread and two fishes gathering around Jesus Christ in the desert. All of them heading towards Jerusalem, THAT WAS THE GREAT TRIBULATION.
[29]Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
this explains what happened at the end the journey(at the end of the tribulation) when Jesus and his disciples eventually arived Jerusalem. He was crucified and the stars fell from heaven(meaning, there was darkness.
The powers of the heavens was shaken(meaning, there was earthquake)

Matthew 27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; AND THE EARTH DID QUAKE and the rocks rent;
[30]And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
the sign here refers to Jesus Christ at the cross dying for the sins of mankind.
and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn,
take a look this.

Matthew 27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

Remember, the centurions were of different tribes from the Jews. They mourned, of a truth this man was the son of God.
and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
this is like a parable.
It means Christ resurrection.
He resurrected with great power and glory
[31]And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
another parable.
It explains what will happen at Pentecost. Act 1:15
The gathering of believers on the day of Pentecost was the first gathering of Christians, about 120 of them.
Mr., look at the scripture again and stop mischieviously twisting scriptures to peddle falsehood.
from what I have posted if you sincere to yourself you will agree with me that the ancient catholic church, missionaries who brought Christianity to Africa and the churches of the old where the ones who twisted scriptures ignorantly and passed them to us as doctrines for us to practice in this generation.
Little wonder the church of today is not utilizing their power given to them by Christ all because of these ignorance.

What is the millenarian teaching?
take note of the phrase in the screen shot below "THROUGH SUPERNATURAL ACTION."

God will never do anything again through supernatural action. Not even rapturing people to the clouds supernaturally.

It is all fiction, not real.

And you only need to read the next verse to know who will be around at the time-
Matthew 24:22
[22]And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the sake of the chosen ones those days shall be shortened.
the choosen one it is talking about were the disciples of Jesus. They went through hell following Christ walking through the wilderness from their cities to Jerusalem where Jesus was to be crucified.
They walked through the wilderness(,desert without food and water) and that is the great tribulation Christ was talking about.
That is what Daniel prophesied
So yes there will be the chosen ones on earth during the great tribulation.
the chosen ones were the disciples, they went through that great tribulation in the desert with Christ without food and water.
Furthermore, the early church was taught what immediate signs to look out for preceding the Lord's coming
2 Thessalonians 2:1
[1]Now we beg you, brethren, over the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him,
no!
This scripture is talking about resurrection of the dead not rapture.
Take note now
2 Thessalonians 2:3
[3]Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come an apostasy first, and the man of sin(antichrist) be revealed, the son of perdition;

So yes again believers were taught to expect the antichrist first before the Lord's coming.
antichrists were there long even before Christ was crucified.
I will tell you Antichrists were.
The people who arrested Jesus and crucified him were antichrists.
People who persecute Christians in bible days were antichrists, even Paul was one of them until his way to Damascus.
Again it's more important to develop your spirituality to the utmost each day as if it's your last regardless of when exactly or how the Lord's coming is. If you cannot overcome that sin today, you will NOT overcome it under the antichrist.
can anyone develop his spirituality under ignorance of the scripture?
I don't think it is possible.

Most Nigerian Christians are ignorant of scriptures how can they develop their spirituality?

So many ideas fly around about the great tribulation most times neglecting what the Lord Himself said about as well as His messengers. The word was coined from this passage from the Lord -
Matthew 24:21
[21]For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
this scripture you just quoted is prophecy quoted from a written document of a script prophesying what will happen shortly before Christ(Jesus himself) was to be crucified.
Whenever you come across a scripture in the bible that begins with the word "FOR" (Example: For then shall be great tribu..), it is an indication that the scripture is a prophecy and it is quoted directly from a script written in the past.
So, Jesus quoted that scripture from a script containing prophecies of Daniel.

And Daniel strictly prophesied about Jesus coming to die and resurrect.

The dead and resurrection happened 2000 years ago.

You have to think, otherwise you will not understand what I'm saying
