Jesus was explaining future event that will take place after the rapture, the great tribulation explained in Matthew 24:21 talked about the event that will happen after the rapture of the saints.
in Matthew13:21; the tribulation that was explained in that passage was persecution, this were persecution of saints who uphold & preach the word of God.

how do you know that this persecution of saint was going to happen in the future?
Did that scripture says anywhere that it was going to happen in the future?

Well, on the contrary see when Jesus says all the things he was talking about in Matthew 24 is going to happen.

Matthew 24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

That's what he told them. That, that their generation of 2000 years ago will not past until all those things are fulfilled.

So, going to parties and catching fun with friends isn't a sin or worldly, so long you are doing something legitimate.

Yes, it's true that sometimes one have to look away from things that may distract their attention when they seek God in prayer, things like their wealth. But God is not moved mightly in their life because they want to do away with distractions and focus on him, God isn't emotional like that.
God is only moved when the person obey simple instructions and natural laws of love your neighbour as yourself and believing in Christ for his salvation.

People who have other options or think they have other options usually try those options before God. Unfortunately that limits God's movement.

Going by what happened when Christ came on earth to die and resurrect (approx: 2000 years ago) it was impossible for a rich to abandon all his wealth and give them to the poor and come follow Jesus Christ and become his disciple and follow him through the wilderness to Jerusalem where he will be crucified and resurrected to bring down his kingdom on earth.

So when Christ was saying it is impossible for a rich man to enter God's kingdom, he wasn't talking to you today but the rich men of that generation of 2000 years ago .

Before his crucifixion God's kingdom wasn't here among men so it was required of men to leave all their wealth and follow Christ to Jerusalem. Even Peter says we have left all and follow you. Matthew 19:27
But after his crucifixion and resurrection that requirement of becoming poor does not stand anymore.

I think it's because our destiny is in our hands.
Whatever we enjoy or suffer today is as a result of the decisions we took in the past.
Also, the decisions of our parents, the government of the day and who we have decided to vote into power may be factors contributing to whether are are enjoying or we are suffering today.

So, God isn't responsible for anyone's suffering or enjoyment.

And I remember, it was one of these big churches that the pastor asked every congregation to shake hands with the next person and introduced themselves freely. I have a seven years old daughter she is in primary 3.
She has already developed her own minds and principles and when we look at her little principles they fall in line with what we wanted from a child.
All we did was to mentor her, not imposing or forcing it on her.
