Christianity Etc › Re: What Happens When You're Dead? by paxonel(m): 7:36pm On Feb 22, 2018
All christians do twinkle their eyes at death or the last day they live(1 Corinthians 15:52) and open their eyes again with a different body into another life in the womb of another woman who is ready for childbearing (1 Timothy 2:15).
All these happens the very moment they die and judged. It is appointed once for men to die, after that, judgement.
So christians don't die in the real sense, they live on this earth continuously and eternally. Only that they experience death like anyone else, but they lives on afterwards because death has been defeated.

Comfort one another with this good news

Nigerian Christians never said they are going to those countries to develop their economy. They are simply going there to preach the gospel of salvation to them.
By the way, what is the gospel of salvation according to the bible?
I want a sincere answer from you, i just want to be sure if Nigerians know what they are doing in the first place
How would you know that we Christians in Nigeria don't love themselves?
When Nigerian pastors refuse to update their knowledge and understanding of scriptures and keep circulating the doctrines and African mindsets currently dominating Nigerian churches as a result there is bad leadership in Nigeria, is that how to love?

When freeze talk you people will pounce on him, he is Antichrist.
Then you obviously didn't read the link I gave you
I read the link but i do not have to aggree with the link in most aspect
In that link, Freeze said Christians from Nigeria shouldn't go to the countries you just mentioned.
But this one i agree, freeze is wrong for saying that
Then how come your beloved freeze
You better love your enemies by giving them a fair hearing as well. This is a quality Nigerian christians lack, everyone opposing their beliefs is devil or agent of Satan or Antichrist. yet they have pastors, they go to church the most
...as never spoken against Islam but has pampered them and even labelled them as true?
This is one error from freeze, but not withstanding i think christians should be at the forefront pursuing justice and equity because everything they need to conquer is in the bible many of which are lacking in the Quran. If christians fail to be at the forefront the nation certainly will be consumed(both christians and Muslims alike). That's why God has put people like freeze to critize christians whenever they fail seeing that pastors cannot critize, rather they want to please the church with their kind of African traditional messages which are full of fictions and void of reality because the church is feeding them

Eve was not primitive but perfect until sin got hold of her. Her sin led to our imperfection. You can't compare our nature of today to adam and eve's perfection, irrespective of the amount of education we have.
Are you perfect ?
Me I'm not perfect, but in this state of my infection I'm far better than Eve because Christ has made me perfect, not because I'm good .
Eve was truly primitive or was there science and technology in Eves era?
Was there education?
Do you know what Eve went through for just being human on earth without bridges, vehicles and electricity?
If you say you are perfect enough to count freeze errors in order to label him Antichrist then get ready for criticism too
Freeze never says he was perfect, personally i can count his errors but i don't dwell on them, i look at the good side of his messages wishing that the church should do the same and change their current attitude for the better.
But instead, they are unrepantly tackling him just like what you are doing now even after hearing his message .
Assuming Jesus was truly having evil spirit or belzebub as labelled him by the Pharisees, the highest the Pharisees could was to accept his good messages in good faith, not minding the personality they thought he was. But they didn't do that, instead they tackled him and opposed him vehemently.
Today Nigerian christians are not different from the Pharisees.

So are you trying to tell me that the new testament actually started from Acts 15,
I did not say so!
Quote me right, i did not say new testament, I say christianity started from act 1:15 where the disciples first gathered with just 120 people only, after Jesus must have resurrected and ascended or are you disputing that?
if that be the case, are you trying to tell me that all of JESUS doctrines are wrong and invalid to us Christians since they were commanded and charged before Acts 15 (which is your so called beginning of the Christianity or new testament)? are you also trying to tell me that the books of Matthew to Acts 14 and everything written in them are wrong and invalid and that Christians shouldn't obey and do what is written in them since they were instituted before Acts 15? are you also insinuating that Christians shouldn't listen and obey the doctrines of JESUS since they were charged before Acts 15 rather they should obey the laws of the apostles? are you also trying to say that the opinion and doctrines of JESUS doesn't matter and is of no importance since it was instituted before Acts 15? are you also trying to tell me that the doctrines and opinions of the apostles matters more than that of JESUS?
Is it not tithing we have been talking about all the while? Why are you now bringing other doctrines and teachings into our discussion, what's the correlation?
You don't have to generalise. All i was telling you is, Jesus was reminding the Pharisees of their law of tithing in Matthew 23:23, he was not even talking to his disciples whom some of them later became the first christians ever in act 1:15. you have to think to understand grin
Where was the doctrines of JESUS given in? of course in the books of Matthew to john and all HIS (JESUS) laws were given
Which of the doctrines have we been talking about?
Specify please.
Love is one doctrine thought by Christ, giving is another doctrine not tithing, Jesus only mentioned tithing because he wanted to remind the Jews of their laws, that you cannot tithe and ignore obeying other laws, you must do all of them so long you are Israelite(non Israelites are excluded from this).
And There was no christianity at that time until Christ died and resurrected,so he was not possibly talking to christians.
we are christians today, not by laws or any law but by faith. I don't think this is difficult to understand.
So why are trying to say that Christians should only obey what is written in Acts 15 only because according to you, that's where the new testament or christianity starts from which automatically means that all the laws and teachings of JESUS in Matthew to John are invalid and wrong and that Christians shouldn't obey them because they were actually instituted before Acts 15.....
See your logic grin grin grin grin
act 1: 15 not act 15.
Bro, let me tell you, Christianity didn't start form Acts 15, rather it started from the cross which was when JESUS instituted grace, salvation and redemption.
Thank God you know this, so why are you as a christian, upholding Jewish laws emphasized to the Jews(not to christians) by Jesus in Matthew mark Luke and John? It does not make sense now.
First of all what is CHRISTIANITY.
[b]CHRISTIANITY IS NOT A RELIGION (WELL TECHNICALLY, IT IS)
Choose one, is it religion or not religion? You have to be definite
...NEITHER IS IT ALSO A CHURCH OR A PEOPLE
when Jesus said i will build my church and the gate of hell shall not prevail against it what did he meant,Did he not mean that he was going to die and resurrect which will mark his church or christianity on earth, the earlier we accept that the same church he built at his death and resurrection is the same religion called christianity today the better for us
RATHER CHRISTIANITY IS GRACE, SALVATION AND REDEMPTION WHICH JESUS GRANTED TO HUMANITY.
You are very correct here, and this grace, salvation and redemption was done through establishing a faith or religion known as christianity, because without faith or religion it is impossible to please God.
SO CHRISTIANITY IS NOT ABOUT A RELIGION,
if you you are saying that christians were not meant to practice the christian religion like religious people or being religious you are very correct. But that does not annul the fact that christianity remains a religion if you like jump let your head touch the clouds you can't change that fact.

Atleast you tried, it shows you have been reading your bible grin
Even the apostle paul mentioned Tithing and he was even in support of it. Hebrew 7
This is wrong o
Pauls message in Hebrews 7 was not to tell you christians to tithe, if you want to know the summary of all Paul was saying, read it up to chapter 8: 1. Everything from chapter 6 to chapter 7 extends or continues to chapter 8:1

Hebrews 8:1 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum( this is the summary) We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

He was simply saying we have a high priest in Christ just like Melchizedek was a high priest by collecting tithe from Abraham in those says.
Now, that does not necessarily mean that Jesus is collecting tithe from us or has Jesus collected tithe from you before?

Africans are so dumb grin grin grin

WONDERFUL, WHAT AN IDEOLOGY.

Who gave the apostles the mandate? JESUS.

Which laws and doctrines were the apostles preaching, is it that of moses or that of JESUS? of course that of JESUS.

Where was the doctrines of JESUS given in? of course in the books of Matthew to john and all HIS (JESUS) laws were given before HE instituted grace by dying on the cross.

Who should Christians obey more, is it JESUS or the apostles? of course JESUS.

Whose doctrines should Christians obey, is it that of the apostles or that of JESUS? of course that of JESUS.

Who holds the greater authority, is it the apostles or JESUS? of course JESUS.

Who are the apostles subjected to? JESUS.

So why are trying to say that Christians should only obey what is written in Acts 15 only because according to you, that's where the new testament or christianity starts from which automatically means that all the laws and teachings of JESUS in Matthew to John are invalid and wrong and that Christians shouldn't obey them because they were actually instituted before Acts 15 which also means that all of JESUS doctrines and teachings are dumb, gibberish and that JESUS CHRIST himself was just wasting HIS time teaching HIS doctrines since they were done before Acts 15.
HEY. AHH. EHE. TELL ME SOMETHING. ABOMINATION. IYAMMI. REALLY!!!!!!!!!
THIS GUY HAS KILLED ME OH, SEE IDEOLOGY. OH GOD, PLEASE HAVE MERCY.

Bro, let me tell you, Christianity didn't start form Acts 15, rather it started from the cross which was when JESUS instituted grace, salvation and redemption.

SO CHRISTIANITY IS NOT ABOUT A RELIGION, MOVEMENT, PEOPLE OR CHURCH RATHER IT IS ABOUT GRACE, SALVATION AND REDEMPTION

And when did JESUS institute GRACE, SALVATION and REDEMPTION? on the cross. Did HE do it in Acts 15? of course not, rather HE did it before Acts 15. The commandment to even preach the gospel which is the gospel of Grace, Salvation and Redemption, was even commanded before Acts 15. If there was no establishment of GRACE, SALVATION and REDEMPTION which is CHRISTIANITY on the cross by JESUS there wouldn't have been any Acts 15. So where did Christianity actually start from, is it on the cross or in Acts 15? of course on the cross, and who established it? of JESUS, the apostles didn't establish it.

Bia, Matthew 23:23 and Luke 11:42, where is it, is it in the old testament or in the new testament?
Wait, let me guess, in the Bible you are trying to write or translate, maybe, the books of Matthew to Acts 14 are in the old testament while the new testament starts from Acts 15.
BRO, I'M THRILLED, KEEP IT UP. YOU KNOW WHAT, I WILL LIKE TO READ THAT YOUR BIBLE.

JESUS mentioned, preached, commanded, acknowledged and admonished TITHING in Matthew 23:23 and in Luke 11:42 which are in the new testament.

And I ask again, are you insinuating that Christians shouldn't obey and do the doctrines of JESUS himself which HE preached and taught from Matthew to John because they were commanded before Acts rather they should listen and obey the doctrines of the apostles? Are you also trying to insinuate that the doctrines of JESUS is of no importance but rather that of the apostles?

Acts doesn't have any record of Tithe but it has the record of giving to the church which tithing is a part of. Acts 4:34-35 but Matthew 23:23 and Luke 11:42 which is in the new testament and is a doctrine and teaching of JESUS CHRIST, TITHING was mentioned, and it was not only mentioned rather it was supported, admonished, promoted and preached in favour of by JESUS himself who is the founder, instituter and establisher of GRACE, SALVATION and REDEMPTION, which is what Christianity is all about.

Whether you like it or not, no matter how you try to twist, tweak and dilute the scripture, certain things are sure, which are;

1.) The doctrines of JESUS is greater and of more importance than that of the apostles. JESUS is the head of the Church while the apostles and every other Christians are subject to HIM.
So now tell me whose doctrines should be obeyed, is it the doctrine of the head of the church HIMSELF or that of those under HIM.

2.) So far JESUS himself supported Tithing in Matthew 23:23 and Luke 11:42. That law itself becomes valid for all Christians to obey whether the apostles in your so called Acts 15 mentioned it or not.
What JESUS himself has said and proclaim is what stands. And no one's opinion or doctrine matters or can overthrow it, not even that of you or the apostles in your so called Acts 15. JESUS is the head and still remains the head of the church, not only that, HE is also the author and finisher of our Faith, that same faith which was instituted on the cross of calvary, which is the same faith the apostles were upholding and preaching.
So whatever law JESUS supported and established, is established and whatever law HE kicks against or annuls, is annulled.
Whatever JESUS himself says is what stands and nothing can change that, not even the apostles or you or anyone or the DEVIL himself

VERY SOON, YOU WILL COME AND TELL ME THAT FORNICATION IS NOT A SIN BECAUSE IT WAS COMMANDED BEFORE REVELATION 22. I'M WAITING FOR THAT DAY SHA.

I have shown you were JESUS himself supported Tithing in the new testament. Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42.
Even the apostle paul mentioned Tithing and he was even in support of it. Hebrew 7.

Now, can you show me in the new testament where it is written that JESUS himself said Tithing is wrong and that Christians shouldn't Tithe.
And also can you show me where it is written in the new testament including that Acts 15 of yours, that the Apostles said Tithing is wrong and that Christians shouldn't practice it.
I'm waiting for your answer back up with new testament bible passages.
If you can't give it, then Forever remain quiet.

This is the dumbest of all dumbest counter points I have, is and will ever come across in my not up to 30 years on Earth (NO OFFENCE)

JESUS himself was a Judaist, HE was born into a Judaist family and nation, HE was raised with Judaist customs, laws and values. HE took part in Judaist festivals both religious and non religious, HE attended the synagogue and temple, HE studied the Torah which is the old testament law, HE even quoted them in HIS teachings. Most of HIS ministries where done within the border of Israel except in few cases where HE went out of the border of Israel into other countries.

All of JESUS teachings, doctrines and commandments were given before HIS death and during the time of Judaism except the below commandments that were given after HIS death, which are;

1.) The great commission: where HE charged HIS disciples and the Christians to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15.
2.) Where HE charged peter and HIS disciples (pastors) to feed HIS sheep (the Christians). John 21:15-17.
3.) Where HE charged HIS Disciples to wait at Jerusalem until they be endued with power from on high (The HOLY SPIRIT). Luke 24:49

Aside from the above three commandment, all other commandments, teachings and doctrines of JESUS were given before HIS death and during the time of Judaism.

So, if were are to go with the logic that tithing is invalid and wrong because it was commanded to the Jews, during the time of Judaism and before the death of JESUS CHRIST, that means logically, all of JESUS laws, doctrines, teachings and commandments are all invalid, wrong and not for the Christians because they were all commanded to the Jews, during the time of Judaism, and before HIS death.

Of course not, because those laws were the laws of grace (which includes tithing) that HE instituted before HE established Grace by HIS death.
Let's assume all the laws, doctrines, teachings and commandments of JESUS (which were the laws of grace) were commanded to the Jews, HE later commanded HIS disciples and the Christians in general to preach the message of salvation (which includes grace and its laws) to all the world. Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15.

So, That Line Of Argument Is Just Plain Invalid And Meaningless.
This is the problem about religion.
So many unresolved problems

It's like you are very good at writing so many things that are not necessary, perhaps you have so many unresolved problems in reading your bible, can't you just go straight to the points?grin

The Gospel was not designed to improve the economy of any country
The bible do not contain only the gospel. There are laws in the bible that could benefit any nation practicing christianity. Example is the 10 commandments. a scripture says righteousness exalts a nation.
Or can you atleast mention one country whose economy got developed by the Gospel?
Not just the gospel, the bible as a whole was preached and understood by many nations who ended up becoming developed. The list is endless ranging from UK, Canada, USA, Australia, Germany, Italy, Spain, etc. These countries have their christian citizens being morally sound through the teachings of the church over the years, what Nigeria has failed to do.
When Jesus gave the commission to preach the gospel, did he include economic development?
Atleast Jesus emphasized two great laws
1. Love God with all your heart
2. Love your neighbour as yourself
Christians were not exempted from these laws. So i see no reason why Nigerian christians should not be morally upright loving themselves in their country first, before taking the gospel to nations that are already gospel filled.
Now, what do you think Freeze and his secret cult are trying to achieve here?
What's the name of the secret cult since you say he belongs to one?
They want those people in those countries to remain in spiritual darkness
Do you listen to yourself talking at all,What other spiritual darkness is beyond that of a nation that has it's political and religious classes of people corrupt, no access to quality education to it's citizens, there is joblessness among it youths due to reoccurrent epileptic power supply like that of Nigeria?
by trying to prevent Christians from doing the assignment given to them by Jesus.
Jesus assignment to christians is, go to all the world and preach the gospel and not to places where the gospel is already thriving, for Godsake there are nations where the citizens have not heard anything about Jesus Christ. Places like Pakistan and some middle east countries and even North Korea and some Asian countries, why are Nigerian christians not going to those countries? Must they go to America, UK, Canada etc to preach where there are even more morally sound gospel that are preached?
This is what freeze has been saying.
That is an antichrist spirit at work
Forget it, we all know what the bible meant by Antichrist as educated christians, so if you are using this to derail freeze, it will not work. We all know where freeze is wrong in his teachings but he is always right most times.
All I see here is an attempt by disgruntle elements to place the blame meant for the government on the Church. Pls, blame your african leaders who embezzle money for the development of the continent, not Churches who instill morals in people.
If the government is not doing well, then the blame goes indirectly to the church and mosques you know why? Because every political leader was once an ordinary citizen at a time who should have gotten his or her moral values from the church or mosque where he belongs, since the family that was suppose to be the basic unit of the society has failed in bring up their children morally sound.

Ok,
The one he said christians in Nigeria should not open churches in abroad, i think he was right there.
Places he referred to as abroad are developed nations such as the UK, America, Canada, Austria etc and not Asian countries and someone other African and middle east countries such as north Korea, Pakistan, Egypt etc where christianity is not prevalent.

What kind of christianity from Nigeria should be preached in UK, America, Canada and Australia?

Nigerians are not educated enough to even preach what will transform their own economic situation is it UK which is already a developed nation that they can impact?

All freeze was saying is acquire education first before you preach. He was not in anyway against christianity or preaching the gospel ok
Christianity Etc › Re: TITHING: IS IT RIGHT OR WRONG. by paxonel(m): 10:56pm On Feb 15, 2018
If the Bible in Malachi 3:8-10 (which is supported in Matthew 23:23, luke11:42)
Ok, it's like if someone ask you were was tithe supported in the new testament you will bring matthew 23:23 and Luke 11:42 as your proof?
What you should know is that, christianity as a religion first existed in the bible in the book of act. Act 1:15 precisely, that means there was nothing like christianity in Matthew, mark, luke and John.
And the question is not, where in the new testament was tithe supported?
The question is, where in the new testament was it commanded that christians or people practicing christianity starting from the book of act, should pay tithe?
You know, Malachi commanded the Jews to pay tithe because they had the old covenant with God through their father Abraham, So if they refused to pay then they are robbing God?
The question is, who were the Jews or Israelites in the bible?
What religion or faith did they practice?
Were they practicing the christian faith or christianity?

If they were practicing Judaism as their faith and not christianity then Malachi wouldn't have possibly mean to command christians who he never had the opportunity to meet in his life time, that if christians don't pay tithe they are robbing God. Therefore it is very wrong for today pastors to quote Malachi and say because Malachi says Jews robbed God if they don't pay tithe, it means christians rob God if they don't pay.
There is no sense there.
It amount to coarsing and forceful distortion of money(even though they give willingly) from ignorant christians who can't perceive this truth.
no pastor said that rather it is what is written in the Bible that they preach. That statement was made by GOD himself through the prophet malachi.
Pastors read from the bible without doing any research to find out that the statement was directly to the Jews who practiced Judaism at that time, not christians.
That is why JESUS CHRIST himself admonished Christians to tithe in Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42 because HE knew if they don't do it they are robbing GOD.
Jesus Christ did not admonish christians. There was no christianity as at that time because he has not yet died and resurrected. Rather he was talking to the Jews and their Pharisee leaders, he was only reminding the them of their laws. Tithing was a law only for the israelites.
Assuming Tithing was only for the Jews, JESUS himself would have annulled it just like every other laws he annulled (I gave you examples in the article) but HE didn't rather HE supported and acknowledged it.
Jesus Christ was never a traditional fundamentalist that he should not acknowledge peoples laws and begin annul Jewish traditional laws for no reason except those that were against the universal laws of love your neighbour, obey your parents, don't kill, don't steal, etc.
Every tribes and cultures of the world have their traditional laws, Jewish tithing law was never against these simple universal laws of love so there was no need to annul it.

Ok, why are the Jews not taking our Yoruba laws such that they rob God if they refuse to obey yoruba a particular Yoruba law?
Why should i as a yoruba man rob God if i don't obey a Jewish law simply because I'm practicing christianity?
You see?

Just like Jesus acknowledged Jews and their laws of tithing, he will also acknowledge laws from Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, England, India, Spanish, Germany etc, so long their laws are not against universal love.

So flee pastors
It's either they know the truth they are not saying it or they are ignorant and maintain the ones that will pay them

Yes no one should be forced to give. I talked about that down the article which I don't think you actually read because if you did you won't be saying such.
Giving means releasing something to something or somebody or for the course of something whether coercively or willingly, so far you released something that is giving.
People can be coerced to give although I'm not in support of that.
Whether Coercively or willingly, so far someone releases something, it automatically becomes giving. Releasing that thing which could be anything whether (positive or negative but I'm talking about positive here) makes it giving whether it was done coercively or willingly. Okay

No one should be forced to give which includes tithing, even the bible said so in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7, rather they should do it willingly and wholeheartedly.
If the Bible in Malachi 3:8-10 (which is supported in Matthew 23:23, luke11:42) says non tithers are robbing GOD, then certainly they are robbing GOD, no pastor said that rather it is what is written in the Bible that they preach. That statement was made by GOD himself through the prophet malachi. That is why JESUS CHRIST himself admonished Christians to tithe in Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42 because HE knew if they don't do it they are robbing GOD.
Assuming Tithing was only for the Jews, JESUS himself would have annulled it just like every other laws he annulled (I gave you examples in the article) but HE didn't rather HE supported and acknowledged it. Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42.
And please have you ever seen anyone been forced to tithe before or have you ever seen a scenario where people where been threatened or coerced at gun point to tihhe? of course not. No one forces anyone to tithe. The pastors only preach it and the tithers out of the convictions in their heart choose without coercion to tithe willingly and wholeheartedly.

Really, tell me how.
Have you ever seen anyone been forced to tithe before or have you ever seen a scenario where people where been threatened or coerced at gun point to tihhe? of course not. No one forces anyone to tithe. The pastors only preach it and the tithers out of the convictions in their heart choose without coercion to tithe willingly and wholeheartedly.
So tell me how where they coerced.

Tell me what makes tithing different from other forms of giving. Is it because it is been giving to the church that makes it different?
Please bro, don't confuse yourself. so far something is been released, it is GIVING, it doesn't matter where or who it is been released to.
Even JESUS himself supported giving to the church. Luke 21:1-4, Mark 12:38-44. HE didn't kick against it or annul it rather HE supported it with HIS actions.
Reread my article again for better understanding, okay.

Can you show where it is written that JESUS in Luke 6:38 hinted at or talked about giving to the poor?
I don't know why you just keep on confusing yourself.
When JESUS commanded the Christians to give in Luke 6:38, HE didn't mention how it was to be given, where it was to be given, whom it was to be given to and in what manner it was to be given in and also HE didn't say give and exclude tithing rather HE Just said GIVE and by that HE means anything that has to do with you releasing something, do it and that includes tithing.
So bro, stop confusing yourself, okay. No one is going to kill you if you've chosen not to tithe.
I will like you to read or reread this article of mine from the beginning to the very end for better understanding and indoctrination.

It's goo to speak up. But when you make it an habit of always attacking the Church, then it means you are trying to do God's job for him. You will end up indirectly attacking Jesus Christ in the process. That's exactly what Freeze has been caught doing numerously.
Lets be sincere,
If freeze is having issues with pastors that doesn't mean he is having issues with Jesus Christ.
I understand sometimes he jump into issues that are not relevant or saying things that are not true but the moment he realises his mistake he redraws, just like the way he deleted his comment when he realizes that pastor vc osibanjo's son inlaw to be is not a Muslim.
But in all, he has been bold enough to ask questions many Nigerians are afraid and never bothered to ask and he is gradually causing a revolution towards the right direction.
He's not God sent.
God can use anyone
He only speaks for himself and for attention.
Focus on his message, not on his intentions because you cannot assume his intentions until you understand what he is trying to pass across

1.) PROOF ONE:
The bible in Luke 6:38 (KJV) says;

"Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.
For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again."

The above scripture is a commandment by JESUS for Christians to give. But where is tithing mentioned there? you may ask. Before I answer that let look at the meaning of giving.
GIVING in general means "TO RELEASE SOMETHING (I DON'T MEAN RELEASING TO PAY FOR SERVICE OR GOODS) TO SOMETHING, SOMEBODY OR FOR THE COURSE OF SOMETHING EITHER WILLINGLY, COERCIVELY, WHOLEHEARTEDLY OR GRUDGINGLY".
GRUDGINGLY and COERCIVELYhuh
Man! This is old. .
We are living in modern day, peoples free will should be respected o
TITHING is a kind of giving because something is been released.
Something i being released because they are threatened or coerced by making them to believe that if they don't give tithe, God will not open the window of heaven and pour out blessings to them, or they are robbing God, and no one want to be seen robbing God, so they give.
OFFERING is a kind of giving because something is been released.
Tithing is totally different from this because tithing involves coercing.
CHARITY is a kind of giving because something is been released.
GIVING TO THE POOR AND LESS PRIVILEGE AROUND YOU is a kind of giving because something is been released.
GIVING TO YOUR PARENTS is a kind of giving because something is been released.
In summary, anything that has to do with you releasing something is GIVING
All these are not the same thing as tithing too inspite that they all involve giving.
When JESUS commanded the Christians to give, HE didn't tell us how to give, where to give, who to give to, what to give and what manner to give in. HE didn't also said "GIVE EXCLUDING TITHING", rather HE just said "GIVE"
There are several forms of giving order than tithing and the ones you mentioned above which requires that when anyone talking about giving in general should be specific and streamline to the particular type of giving he is talking about. I think that is what Jesus did by saying give and it shall be given unto you. He was specifically talking about giving to the poor, not tithing.

Controversial OAP, Daddy Freeze appears to be fast becoming an attention seeker these days as he reacts to almost anything that has to do with Churches.

This time around, he's caught giving a misleading information when he dabbled into criticizing an engagement announcement involving daughter of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Damilola Osinbajo and Oluseun Bakare.

The engagement was announced on social media by the Vice President who wrote:

Shortly after the Vice President, who is also a Pastor, broke the news, Daddy Freeze quickly to reacted to it.

This time around, he leaped without looking and ended up disemminating a wrong information.

He criticized the Pastor for offering his daughter to Oluseun Bakare, claiming he offered her to a Muslim simply because of the riches and political power the man's family wields.

His Instagram quote:

However, shortly after he uploaded the post to Instagram, it was met with opposing views which made him known that the man the VP's daughter is getting married to is not Muslim but a Christian. One report even stated that he converted to Christianity and has been a strong one since, infact a sunday school teacher.

After noticing his error, Freeze quickly deleted the post from his page, but not before screenshots of it were taken by bloggers. He's yet to apologize for the misleading information.

He also tried to label Church authority as hypocrites when he posted a news of a lady whose wedding was stopped by her State's authority cos she proceeded to get married to a Muslim man after converting to Islam, without her parent's consent.

Screenshots below.

Op, you are just being childish what's your problem?
You should be happy that someone is vocally at the back of the church checking it's activities all the time and correcting it to the stand still whether he makes mistakes or not cos no one is perfect, or are you afraid of being criticized?

A very evil man will want his activities not to be checked and criticized all the time because he thinks he is perfect and anything he does should be accepted whether he is right or wrong. The church should not be like that or are you Jesus?

Even Jesus in all his perfection says do not call me master for we have only one master in heaven.

And even political parties have wrong or right critisisms coming from oppositions and they are very good to enhance democracy why will the church be different.

Abeg Daddy freeze carry on Jo!

Christianity Etc › Re: The Church Of GOD In Nigeria Is Not The Government Of Nigeria - Nneka Okumazie by paxonel(m): 5:28pm On Feb 14, 2018
HigherEd:
By Nneka Okumazie

The biggest problem Nigeria has is lack of good focus. There is no focus on major or simple problems, everything that is a debate or topic or focus or projects is not what will truly move Nigeria forward. Instead it is one foolish debate after another, one baseless argument after another, one terrible headline and no simple or useful sense to combat major problems from responsible quarters.

The most common foolishness in Nigeria now is criticism of the Church of GOD; Church, tithe, first fruits, Church online offering, Church private jets, Church pastors, Church branches, Church universities, Church testimonies, Church teachings, Church poor members, etc.

The debate is so stupid, so foolish, so flawed that no matter how smart a person may feel, the moment you participate in these kinds of argument, you are in the realm of the obtuse.

Nobody says true Churches are beyond criticism, they are not; nobody says there are no fake churches or feigned Christianity practices, there are. But in terms of many of the arguments against the Church of GOD, conflicted for the role of government, it is complete foolishness no matter who you are.

The mission of the Church of GOD is not to develop Nigeria. The Church is not even as cash rich as major oil, telecommunication, bank or top lotto, companies. The Church is about the Kingdom of GOD and the message of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

So many useless CSR in Nigeria, nobody can face them relentlessly as Daddy Freeze against the Church of GOD. So many companies with opaque deductions and charges with nothing revolutionary back into the country sympathizers of these companies say they are a business with shareholders for profit, not development.

They are exempted, but the Church of GOD is responsible for development, OK.

Entertainment in Nigeria is already saturated. Most contents are low quality, vulgar songs, awkward insensitive jokes, terrible film plots, mediocre football and other sport performance, yet entertainment sponsorship is highest in Nigeria. Entertainment is not development. In fact those low quality, uninspiring, entertainment are not relevant to mental or national development.

Yet, nobody can touch or criticize entertainment. How many songs can a person listen to or movies in Nigeria that will make an individual think to become a better professional? Yet people go to the Church of GOD, learn, get encouraged, and want to be better and ambitious on earth and for heaven. So this true Church is the problem, OK.

In Nigeria, why should you not go to Church, and pray, whether it is answered or not, if the prayer or well-wishing prophecies makes you feel better, why not? There is no security, no hospital, no safety, no light, no road, no money, no water, no order, no guarantee, no fire extinguisher, no law, no transparency, no equal opportunity, no investigation, no justice, fraud everywhere, corruption everywhere, no progress, no quality control, dirty environment, fetidness, direct and indirect prostitution, no sound education, no work, only one state is trying to be functional, no food, and no future, nothing, why should a person not go to Church?

Young Nigerians are leaving the country desperately, some drown at sea, some are stranded abroad, but finding ways to solve all the causes of this problem with the federal and state governments or some very useful CSR is not the case. It is the Church online giving that is the problem, OK.

People forget that the problems of Nigeria drove Church growth, not otherwise. If you want economic and infrastructural development from the Church of GOD, ask the government to pay taxes and oil revenues there. But the Church of GOD does what it has to do for its mission from the Scriptures.

Some people will like the option to pay online instead of cash, if the option is not for you ignore, it is not a reason for cheap shot at the Church when there are other organization options too and so many problems around, with no good sense or suggestion and realistic solutions with your vile platform.

If an overseer, truly called of GOD rides a private jet, let GOD who called that overseer be the judge. But that a Church owns a private jet and it is a reason to connect jet to poverty, sorry, the Church of GOD does not have the political power, policies and resources to alleviate poverty in this oddish Nigeria. Besides, if the worst thing an overseer will do is use a private jet that everyone knows about, it is far better than so many appalling things many kinds of terrible religious clerics do that no one knows about.

There are so many sectors and industries in Nigeria not under the power of the government, but those people there by themselves cannot reform themselves to shape their work to make Nigeria a better place. But from every angle, the Church is adjudged the problem, false, lie, false.

There are righteous rich people in true Churches in Nigeria, they support the work. Those who do not have enough, give what they have, not under any force. The Church of GOD is where true Christians connect with the Comforter, and they come, rich or poor, in joy or sadness. The Church of GOD is a place where lives are touched and minds are renewed.

But this Church is under attack. Not fair attack, not wise attacks, foolishness, and you watch how it has now become normal, on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, by those who opted to blindfold themselves and think the Church should be what they interpret not about the Kingdom of GOD.

Until Nigeria as a country starts to focus on actual development, there is almost no way it will move forward. There is nobody in this world that can turn off the Light of the Church of GOD, no matter the bitter attacks. Christians started in the Acts of the Apostles, and will remain until Jesus Christ of Nazareth returns, to redeem them to Him...

The church of God is also the government o, don't be deceived.
The government comprises of everyone in Nigeria including the church. So if the government is criticized, the church and mosque should be criticized too in order to bring the best out of the society.

To canonize saints are not the ways of pentecostals Catholics should also accept that.
To pentecostals, Saint Valentine is seen as one good man who lived in the past whose legacy should be emulated just like Apostles Peter, Paul and Stephen and nothing more

but there was Pentecostal and protestants during the time of Mary and other saints? please explain
No!
Martin Luther started Protestant reformation from Roman catholism at 1517. That is, about 14 centuries after Mary and other saints of her time must have died.
The bottomline is, Protestants are still part of the church, only that they have let down most catholic traditions and move on.

The saints are so much, they all deserved to be celebrated but valentine's case was a unique one. And celebrating past saints is something optional and not mandatory even to Catholics, therefore there is no point being fundamentalistic over the issue.

Most protestants, especially pentecostals, do not acknowledge canonized saints of the Catholic Church including those who lived before, during and after the days of Father Valentine.
That is their cup of tea spurn from ignorance. However, they have acknowledged Father Valentine so they are still brothers.
The question is, why is Father Valentine celebrated by Catholics and non Catholics. Why is his case different and why do the Protestants/Pentecostals stick with the Catholic date of February 14?
It's simple!
Everyone want to love and to be loved.

Love is something meant for everyone whether they are catholic or Protestants
