Christianity Etc › Re: What Is The Factor By Which True Christians Are Identified by paxonel(m):
True Christians are seen by the world when they love one another which is very good , that is the stand point of human view.
But God's view of a true Christian is totally different.
God views true Christians by their faith not by how they love one another.

A scripture says without faith it is impossible to please God.
which means, even with the love God is not pleased except faith is added to it

Well I have seen the Bible passages where Jesus warned men concerning hell( See Matthew 25 vs 36-46)...If Jesus Christ, the foundation of the Christian faith could do that then I see no reason warning believers on the dangers of hell should be frowned at (unless one isn't a Christian he claims to be)...Beside, Revelation the book of the Bible which was written by Jesus beloved disciple, John tells us of the reality of hell (See Revelation 20 vs 11-15)
Jesus warned men in Matthew 25, not christians.
There was no christianity as at that time. Jesus was not yet crucified.
The same thing applies to revelation 20, the warning was to Jews who refused to believe.
Remember, salvation is simply believing .

You see this kumuyi of a man?

How is he persecuting pastors?

The country is in a state of quagmire, pastors are not educating people.
People are cut off from the intelligent world because of their teachings.
Freeze is reacting and you and billions of Nigerian christians who are affected by these pastors dids are calling his reactions persecution?

How does that sound to you?

i never mentioned 'persecution' but rather being too quick to 'dismiss everything done by some pastors' before evidence came out. we should all be a good spectators in these and patiently await who has got the best evidence to rely upon rather than making us believe that everything was a charade by the pastor exonerating an outside influence.
That's true

I am an anti tither, but freeze earlier tweeted ''that from kemi olunloyo to stephanie confession,Ah Nigerian pastors'' with this quote from freeze if its true he lost me on that, on using the scriptures to expose these pastors..yes freeze takes my nod, but freeze should not write off all these confession/repentance thing too base on his instinct but rather wait till the last will be heard on this stories

saul was a persecutor of the christ followers before but later changed to become paul apostle of christ, so lets give people chances and weigh their evidencies rather than condemn them because someone we loved like freeze did.
Freeze is not persecuting pastors, he is trying to correct their errors.
Tithing is a sign of lacking intelligence enough to understand scriptures.
Jesus says believe in me and be saved that's all, he didn't say practice religious ordinances.

If she like let her reveal her sponsors, if she don't like let her keep them secret, that's her own cup of tea. Even if Apostle suleman forgives her, Nigerians will never forgive her for allowing herself to be used to deceive people.

Christianity Etc › How Do Bishop Oyedepo Define The Word Jealousy? by paxonel(op): 5:20pm On Jan 28, 2018
What Nigerians or Africans see as blessing is different from it true definition or usage.
Looking at English dictionary,
DEFINITIONS OF THE WORD BLESSING
1. approval that allows or helps you to do something
2. help and approval from God

Another dictionary put it this way

3.something that helps you or brings HAPPINESS.

Another dictionary
2 : a thing conducive to HAPPINESS or WELFARE (not necessarily being wealthy).

But how do Africans define the word blessing?
To them blessing is wealth or escape from poverty, i understand why.
Because poverty has stricken Africa greatly such that they are cut off from reality.

No wonder bishop oyedepo will use the word jealousy to tame his critics (control your jeolousy).
Because he feels that what is worth jealous of is wealth and not happiness.

But the truth is, it is very possible that one can be very wealthy having fleets of private jets and investments but he is very far from being a happy man. I will not call that kinda situation a blessing.

Therefore, being wealthy is not the same thing as being blessed.
And when you are happy, weather you are wealthy or not you are a blessed man.

It is better to be jealous of a blessed man who is happy than to be jealous of a wealthy man.

Oga it is not easy. Even if she mentions the politician that was involved, they will still kill her. The public may suspect a particular person but there is no concrete evidence to nail such a person. What most politician do is to use another person to carry out the plan without any suspicious move. The public will only shout but someone's life is taken away. As for evidence, it is very possible to make fake fact to be true. We have advance in technology so anything is possible. It takes God to vindicate such a person because all the evidence are there. If you visit prisons then you would understand better. Am not supporting anybody because I was not there when the act took place. My suspicion started the day Suleman spoke against Fulani herdsmen and his constant criticism of El Rufai. The other day one preacher said Christians use their PVC to vote this Fulani menace and immediately he was summoned by D.S.S.Haven't you wonder why any person that criticize this government ends up with one scandal or the other? Why do you think the former CAN president was accused of using his jet to launder ammunition? Didn't you take note during his tenure that he was vocal? .
I understand that most Nigerians are scared of pursuing justice that's why they keep saying it's not easy. But the truth is, we have not learnt simple procedures to get public justice for ourselves that's why we say it is difficult and we prefer to pearch on falsehood.
If truly there are politicians who will kill her for exposing them certainly these same people will still kill her even when she has not expose them because out of fear that she may expose them later, they will want to eliminate all forms of evidence.
She confess she die
She nor confess she still die later.
Is it not the same thing?

Let her obtain public justice through the right procedure by confessing the truth whoever is involved. It will be more easy to protect her that way.

Probably you don't know how this politicians operate. They will definely kill her if her allegations are true
That is why it is better to expose them now so that her safety is guaranteed.
Whoever politician she mention will be made to sign undertaking that if anything happens to her, he will be held responsible. Then let the politician open up with transaction account as evidence that she was paid, or all her confession and her accusations against Apostle Suleman are all big lies arranged by the omega ministry, it's as simple as that.

Before omega church bring her out to testify that she was used by politicians, then the church should have helped her get evidence first, in order to vindicate Apostle Suleman of the accusations. She cannot claim that she did not open up to the church whoever paid her, they will never accept her to come and testify if she did not tell them whoever the politician is. Why is the church not reveal the truth who the politician is?

You can't just come out to testify things like this without evidence, it's not done considering the huge accusation involved and to a reputable public religious figure like suleman.

HeyCorleone:
What she said was the other obvious thing.

Last year when the accusations came up there were 2 camps; those saying yes the pastor was guilty, and those who said she had paid sponsors.

She has jumped from one side to the other and what she's now saying is what majority, if not all, of his ardent Church members said.

And it's very unintelligent at that. You don't just come out and make claim. Give details in full if indeed what you're saying is true.
I mean when she was accusing the man she came with concrete proof. But now she's without any. Methinks it's because there is this belief that majority of dimwitted Christians would believe her without evidence because they see the man as Jesus Christ. Such nonsense.

Deep down I feel she has been paid heavily to switch sides. My 2 cents tho'.
They will believe her just like the way they believe pastors standing in pulpit saying unrealistic prophecies and prayers without any evidence that the prophesy will come to pass (like aleboye prophecies) such that, everyone in church will shout AMEN! AMEN!

Nigerians are so foolish

Otobo and suleman or somebody who is really benefiting from suleman ministry.both arranged the drama last year. Suleman or whoever the person may be, told otobo, be Suleman accuser this year, next year you confession and you will be paid.
She accepted.
If this is not true how come she did not mention one politician who paid her to blackmail Suleman in her confession but during her blackmail she was bold enough to mention suleman?
How come?

Freeze saw a report of whatever blackmail last year and he reacted to it, because pastors were not straightforward in their dealings with people.

Christianity Etc › Re: Are Pastors actually supposed to create jobs and/or Criticize Political Leaders? by paxonel(m): 7:54am On Jan 25, 2018
jamael:
For quite some time, the internet has been awash with calls from many Nigerians to pastors as to their role in nation building or politics.

Here is my own view based on some Bible portions. Feel free to state yours.

The primary duty of every Christian (including pastors) is to BE LIKE CHRIST. Never forget that. In places of work, school, markets, business, trade etc, the individual is first a Christian, and then a worker, student etc. Every other thing is secondary.
We see this clearly in the call of Moses. When the children of Israel were suffering, the bible records in Exodus 3: 9,10. “Now therefore, behold the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt”.
Israel was in bondage in the land of Egypt. When God saw their sufferings, and heard their cry, he did not send Moses to make the children of Israel members of the leading council of Egypt, improve the welfare of the children of Israel, enrol the children in schools, empower the women or even increase their wages in Egypt. All these things would have been good on their own, but as long as they were still in Egypt, it was contrary to the plan of God. Same case in our society, nation and around the world. The purpose of the gospel is first to save from sin. “Mathew 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shall call his name Jesus for He shall save his people from their sins.”
Pastors were suppose to educate people, but they are not. So we have many ignorant leaders springing out of the population

Drnice:
My Brother, They Haven't. It Is Yet To Pass. The Antichrist(son Of Perdition) Will By Known To The World When Revealed, As Said By Paul. Read 2Thess.2:1-12, verse "6"
2 Thessalonians 2 WAS a letter from Paul directed to the church in Thessalonika to help them identify people who WERE Antichrists (people who persecuted christians those days in their area). These Antichrists WERE Jewish priests who sat at the temple and exalted themselves to be God

2 Thessalonians 2:4
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

These Jewish priests sat on temples of Judaism and gave order that christians( believers of Jesus Christ) should be persecuted and killed.
They deceived their followers to do unrighteousness(killing people).
They and their followers refused to receive the love of the truth that Jesus WAS, and is the coming Christ so that they might be saved.

2 the 2:10
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Now, take note that i used past tense "WAS ",WERE, etc
Because all these things were documented in the bible a long time ago and they are past already.

Wake up brother, face the future with plans and enjoy your life without fear. Leave religion or church, they are not doing us good.
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Women Speak In Church by paxonel(m): 1:46am On Jan 21, 2018
Seun:
1 Corinthians 14:34-35 (written by "Apostle" Paul)
“Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.”

1 Timothy 2:12-14 (also written by "Apostle" Paul)
“I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. ”

My interpretation: "Apostle" Paul didn’t believe that women should be allowed to speak in church or to lead men. He was a fervent Jew before his conversion and Jews don’t allow women to speak in the synagogue either, so he just carried his misogynistic views into the new religion.

If you believe that the words of "Apostle" Paul are the words of God, then certainly, God doesn’t want women to speak or lead men in church.

But Paul never actually met Jesus. He was not one of the twelve apostles. He was not Simon Peter, the rock upon which Jesus promised to build his church according to the gospels. Yet his writings and ideas have come to dominate Christianity. His words are seen as God's words. Wow.
Since when men carry church they speak how many lives them done change?

Anyone that fight against christianity by persecuting christians is Antichrist. They have been there since bible days.
The beast literally meant a dominant religion(religion of the Jews) which was oppressive in bible days, especially against christians.
Accepting mark of the beast which John saw as 666 in his vision was christians accepting the doctrines of Judaism either through persecution or by free will.
In summary, all these Antichrist or beast or 666 things have already passed.
No need to emphasize on them anymore
