salvation101: nope, u were trying to prove dat giving to the church doesn't make ppl wealthy. Christianity teaches diligence, God said he will bless the works of our hands. The primary aim of every Christian is to expand see the word of God preached around the world. People gave for the gospel and free education to av been possible in dark Africa. God tests us with little things before committing bigger things to our hand, Jesus said u can't serve God and serve mammon at d same time. It simply means u can't serve God and be attached to ur possession at d same time. Wen opportunities come to give, you should be ready to give any thing to see the gospel break boundaries, the Bible says, its God dat give the power to get wealth. Luke16:10-13 10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? 12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? 13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. So, from your own perspective do giving to the church make people wealthy? Because, non of those articles points out that those wealthy men because wealthy simply because they gave. Rather, they all emphasized that, these men started as employees and were giving the little from their earnings. As their income was growing they decided to increase the giving |

You are on point anyway! But the fact still remain that these men gave to the work of God beyond 10% of their wealth or income which is actually not tithing but giving. Whether it was 10% or beyond 10% the money was used strictly to propagate the gospel and not to pay pastors monthly salary or fund pastors expensive flamboyant lifestyle of showcasing wealth, maintaining fleet of private jets and traveling to Dubai and around the world as practiced by today pastors. salvation101: How could I av jumped and passed what i didnt even see? i responded only to my mentions nd only saw ur post after u mentioned my moniker. Now respond to ur post, firstly it reeks of ignorance. The Christian population in USA is 230,000,000 according to Wikipedia. 71% of Americans are Christians. The Christian population is more than the total population of the entire Nigerian population . Orthodox and Pentecostals tithe and America has the highest amount of Pentecostals. The number of churches who believe in tithing are more than those who dont.. The first American billionaire John Rockefeller was a tither and his family still remains one of the richest in the country till date. Let me help u with a list cos am sure u are unaware...
SOME TESTIMONIES OF SOME TITHERS
QUAKER OATS COMPANY Does the name Henry P Crowell sound familiar to you? How about the company he founded-Quaker Oats? While yet a young man, Crowell heard a sermon by Dwight L. Moody. He made a remarkable commitment to the Lord. He said ‘ I can’t be a preacher, but I can be a good businessman.’ He prayed ‘if you would let me make money, I will use it in your service.’ He bought a little run-down mill called Quaker Mill. Not only did he faithfully tithe but it is reported that he gave far beyond the tithe and funded the Lord’s work for over forty years.
COLGATE PALMOLIVE COMPANY Who hasn’t heard of the Colgate Palmolive Company? Do you know that a tither found it? William Colgate left home when he was just a teenager. He felt that his father was too poor to keep him. With his only belongings tied in a bundle, he met an old canal boat captain. He confided to the captain that he was leaving home to lessen the financial burden on his parents. He explained to the old man that the only trade he knew was soap and candle making. The old captain knelt and prayed for the lad and then looked him in the eyes and said, someone will soon be the leading soap maker in New York. It can be you. Be a good man, give your heart to Christ, pay the Lord all that belongs to Him, make an honest soap, give a full pound and I’m certain you’ll be a prosperous and rich man. Those words apparently made a strong impression on him. He tithed from the first dollar he made as an employee. Soon he was made partner of the company he worked for and ultimately became the owner of the business. He, like Henry Crowell gave far beyond the tithe. It is reported that his giving grew from 20% to 30% to 40% to 50% and finally he was giving all his income. He gave millions to the Lord’s work. Think about that.
JOHN D. ROCKEFELLER Sr Some of today’s well known wealthy families initially gave their wealth when the patriarchs of the family committed to tithing. Take the Rockefellers as an example. Listen to John D Rockefeller Sr’s own words. Yes, I tithe, and I would like to tell you how it all came about. I had to begin work as a small boy to help support my mother. My first wages amounted to $1.50 per week. The first week after I went to work, I took the $1.50 home to my mother and she held the money in her lap and explained to me that she would be happy if I would give a tenth of it to the Lord. I did, and from that week until this day I have tithed on every dollar God has entrusted to me. And I want to say, if I had not tithed on the first dollar I made, I would not have tithed on the first million dollars I made. Today’s the heirs of many of this great industrialist may have wondered far from the principles that created such enormous wealth and influence. Many of their companies are now publicly held and the stock holders don’t have a clue that they are still reaping the harvest of the righteous acts of their founders. To sustain such success and blessing, there need to be a rediscovering of the principle of putting God first and building a business as a way of seeking the kingdom of God.
R.G leTourneau (INVENTOR OF CATERPILLER MACHINES) My father was actually impressed by R.G leTourneau. R.G leTourneau was the creator and manufacturer of giant earth moving machinery. As my dad will receive the offerings at the church he pastured, he was fond of referring to R.G leTourneau as a man who could not out give God. Before the end of his illustrious career, this manufacturer will reverse the percentages and give God 90% and retain 10% for himself. I remember that my parents receive regular publications from the charitable foundation R.G leTourneau started and funded with 90% of the stock of his corporation. Each month the publication will show pictures of the monster machines, some weighing as much as 200,000 pounds and each newsletter incorporated tithing because R.G leTourneau contributed his great success to it. Before his death in 1969, he had contributed millions and millions of dollars to the work of God worldwide.
OTHER NOTABLE TITHERS We could go on and on and list names like J.L. Kraft Cheese Company, Wallace Johnson, the founder of holiday inns, or the founder of welchs grape juice. Each of these Godly businessmen was committed to tithing and I firmly believe that was the key to their outstanding success and legacy. When the issue of tithing as applied to the small business is raised, many opinions abound. Often the small business operator is left in a dilemma. Should he or she tithe on gross revenues, net profit, salary taken or taxable gain?
Kenneth hagin once shared a testimony of the depression how a christian farmer went to his pastor because his coton farm refuse to bud even though it was ripe , they needed to harvest it before the rain that was coming. If it rains .the whole farm would be destroyed . it was like that allover the town but the pastor asked him " do you pay your tithe ? the man said yes, The pastor asked him for the tithe card, those days they use cards in churches and the pastor signs in when they pay. So the pastor went with him into the middle of the cotton farm he raised the tithe card up and said "lord you promise to rebuke the devourer, this card is the evidence that this man is a tither.the pastor was not done speaking when they began to hear cracking noise all over the farm! the whole farm turned white! . the cooton budded. other farms were destroyed by the rain.

What are your references that shows that all these notable achievers paid tithe? Perhaps it is simply the fact that these achievers were christians, that's why you are writing all these? Keep lying and deceive yourself Do you think it is all wealthy christians that pay tithe? salvation101: but u also expect the church to come on Nairaland to blow their trumpets before u believe dey have been helping the poor? No one have been doubting if the church have been helping the poor. We all know that all churches are also involved in giving to the poor and we commend the church for that. But that's not issue. The issue is, Is tithe money used to help the poor? If that is the case we are very much ready to pay. But if the money is used to fund your pastors flamboyant lifestyle on the bases that tithe are meant for pastors or priests as indicated in the old testament, then count us out. So let your pastors specify what's the essence of tithing?? I will always say something, we do give gifts to pastors for propagating the gospel most of which the money is far beyond 10%. That is not tithe, it is called gift. We are very much in support of that, only that pastors should also propagate truth from the bible to the populace which they have failed in all standards, as a result, the state of the nation decays, So we were forced to withdraw. |

Christianity Etc › Is Fasting And Prayer A Means To Attract Miracles From God? by paxonel(op): 10:03am On Dec 17, 2017*. Modified: 1:59pm On Dec 17, 2017 |
This is my message to Africans. Things don't happen Anymore by mere talking(praying), commanding, cajoling, invoking spirits, sacrifices, rituals, fasting etc . In this modern day that we are living now, a lot of things have changed from the way it was in old testament days . But a lot of us are being deceived thinking God is yesterday, today and forever, which really do not apply to his will. If God is willing to perform miracles he will do it. But that will only be for a specific purpose, like instituting his covenant among men like he did to the Israelites who enjoyed his miracles because they were ignorant, or convincing people that christianity is the way(which is the new covenant) not to answer your own personal prayers or fasting. You cannot force God to go beyond his will or laws by your religious activities. Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance(times of the old testament) God winked at(overlooked); but now commandeth(christianity has come) all men every where to repent: We read in the old testament how God interferes in the affairs of men on earth and performed God great miracles. Parting the red sea, winning battles for his people, bringing down manner from heaven, etc. That was simply because men were ignorant at that time, miracles were never a perfect will of God to man. He wanted man to dominate and subdue the earth by himself without his interference or his miracles. But guess what? Christ has restored back the glory Adam and Eve lost by bringing down christianity. why are today christians still in search for miracles like children who are searching for milk? Why do we still remain ignorant? I tell you this truth, the only solution to all your problems as a christian is education, not pastors, not miracles or fasting and prayers. Fasting and prayers today is more or less like you want to invoke holy spirit which is not possible. Because, holy spirit is right inside you. If you abandon knowledge and understanding infact that holy spirit will just be looking at you. So, if you are among those who go to church, no handwork, you shout AMEN for every prayer, prophesies and promises of pastors thinking that your prayers will be answered like that, oyo for you If you are the type that go to church to read lists of prayer points(God go judge mountain of fire) in papper, oyo for you too You are not different from babalawo God don't work like that. Go and look for handwork. You don't even need church you will prosper, i swear. God will stand by you. Even non christians are prospering, God is blessing them greatly. Why then should you be afraid as a christian to establish? |

May be you are also a beneficiary to tithe collection in your church, who knows |
Christianity Etc › Re: Open Message To Daddy Freeze And His Supporters by paxonel(m): 10:48pm On Dec 16, 2017 |
Dan1cole: Mr Daddy Freeze or whatever your name is, pls tell me why it is that you people cannot criticize anything else in/concerning the Church except for things that relate to money like tithing and offering? I mean, there are many things to talk about that many so-called Church congregations are doing and encouraging, so why not criticize and campaign against those things as well? Why campaign against only money related matters? What do you think you'll accomplish with this campaign of yours? You actually think you are doing something good right? And those people supporting you and encouraging you to continue think that you're actually solving a problem right? Lol... I just dey laugh you and your supporters.
How do you people expect the Church to sustain, expand and the word of God to spread without money (which can come as tithes and offerings)? Yes, no doubt many so-called men of God have abused, misused, miscommunicated and stretched the concept of tithing and giving too far; using it as a devisive means to extort from ignorant people in the Church only to make themselves richer. That I am aware of, against, and strongly condemn. But that doesn't mean, every Pastor that encourages his/her congregation to tithe and give offerings is a thief or false Prophet. Yes the man might be rich, but then how are you sure that your tithes and offerings alone made him that rich? How much do you even give on service days? Have you considered that there are people who directly give/sow to the Pastor on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis; and/or the investments the Pastor has. I'm sure the Bible even says, "happy are the feet of those who preach the gospel". And also, Jesus certainly wasn't a poor man as well. So, I'm not against a successful Pastor. Infact I personally prefer them so.
And just to be clear, I'm not trying to defend any Pastor whatsoever here, neither am I trying to condemn/judge any, because I'm not the One that called them into ministry, nor was I there when they were called.
So, you say most of their members are poor while they (Pastors) themselves live so lavishly. Yes, I won't deny that fact. But have you investigated to find out if these so-called poor members are doing what they need to do in other to attain success and prosperity? Yes, the church should help the poor, but for how long are they gonna be giving these so-called poor people money to take care of themselves? For how long are they gonna be spoonfed? Are they babies? Haven't you heard, "...the poor have the gospel preached to them". Every poor man is disobedient in one area or another. Just giving money here and there doesn't guarantee prosperity or financial breakthrough like that. You have to do what is necessary in order to afford necessities. And that is why we need good teachers of God's Word in our Churches in these last days and not head pushers, deliverance ministers and seers. This is also one thing you can campaign against.
People not wanting to do what is necessary in order to afford necessities is not a today problem, people love to be handed things. Didn't you read where after Jesus fed people with bread and fish they followed him like flies and even wanted to crown Him king, why? Simply because they wanted more free food. Hence, this TAP challenge of your will not alliviate poverty as you think, it will only encourage laziness and laxity. Because assuming you are a smart guy, you surely know that poverty is not a physical (lack of money) issue, but a mental (lack of wisdom) issue.
People need to put their brain to work, capitalize on their talents, make the most of their opportunities in order to make money. You don't need to be currupt to make money, just be wiser, doing what is required per-time. Many are making it in the Church and many are not. Why? Because only those willing to do what is necessary and obey principles will eat good, while the others will end up as critics in the Church.
And to supporters of Daddy Freeze, you people accuse people in the Church for following blindly, while you do the same. Look, don't just agree with what this dude is saying without properly giving it a really good thought. Besides, I'm sure many of you his supporters are not even Christians, and I'm not even sure he himself is even born again. And if he's not a born again Christian, then I'm sure the inspiration behind this campaign of his is not of God. And if so, I'm very sorry for those who call themselves Christians supporting him.
Though I still have alot to say, I'll stop here for now. There are alot of things to criticize in the Church, so why criticize only money related matters? Campaign against fake pastors/prophets everywhere, alien/fake doctrines etc. You can also campaign against the Government and it's terrible treatment of the people and their unfulfilled promises. Or are you afraid of the Government? Okay! I've said enough for now, thanks for reading!
Commendations, criticism and insults are all welcome! Daddy freeze has criticized tithing which is one error in churches among others, you should be happy that atleast one problem is being tackled. Let another person identify another error and criticize it. |

D1official: However in your : point 1. you have accepted that God never used a non priest or believer for his work. And let me correct you sir, the new testament is not a different thing but the continuation and perfection of what God has started in the old testament. Yes we are all royal priesthood according to the new testament but that doesn't mean that God's calling has seized sir,nor rules broken. If it has then show me where in the new testament where his likes where used for correction or judgement in the kingdom Point 2. who is a believer?. A believer is one who has decided to live his life in respect to the word of God. So therefore show me the biblical proofs of daddy freeze being a believer?. Point 3. We all are spiritual jews and according to (mal3:10)what tithing offers is blessings. And the scriptures says that the blessings of the Lord maketh rich and adds no sorrows. So yes it may look like a physical thing but it guarantees spiritual results. point 5. His mission is audible to the deaf and visible to the blind. He wants to bankrupt the church, and who does that?. your guess is as good as mine. You may not believe in tithing but it's obvious that Daddy isn't used by God. Your Daddy adeboye, Oyedepo, Olukoya, kumuyi, Oyaks, Suleman, etc who collect tithes from Nigerian christians are also not used by God either, if that is the case. They are also not christians or believers based on your definition of who a believer should be, because they are also not living their lives in respect of the word. They are not even preaching the word. Yet they are distorting money from people in the name of tithe. They are not teaching the morals found in the bible and apply these morals to real life situation. If they do, Nigerian christians will not be seen having the wrong mentality of Africans which has plunge this nation into corruption and poverty inspite the huge natural resources. Many of our politicians who were indicted were, and still members of these churches led by these god of men, these politicians were thought by them. So. No, 10 commandments and tithe are two different thing. 10 commandments is not optional, it is the commandments of love that governs all tribes be it Jews or Gentiles. But tithe remains optional, it was specifically for the Jews and not gentiles. Even today Jews are not paying the tithe anymore (Google it). D1official: And where in the scriptures has all the Xtians being called to stand against a fake or real prophet?. Pls let's leave sentiments and go to biblical proofs, I guess that's his basics for argument. Five points were raised against your daddy and all you have are sentiments and no biblical evidence. Your five points are questions you should sincerely asked and not providing answers to them because you don't know the answers. You asked : 1. Has God ever used a non prophet or ordinary person as a voice against a fake prophet or to correct a prophet in both old and new testaments? Ans: God may not rebuke priests through non priests in the old testament, but new testament which we belong is a different thing entirely. I told you we were made priests through Christ not only pastors. So we are entitled to fight for our rights by ourselves. You came up the question 2.Who called Daddy freeze into this teaching? And also quoted the scripture Romans 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. Ans: You failed to understand that as many that has believed in Christ he has justified and called. Therefore we were called into priesthood. If Daddy freeze has believed you can't exempt him out of this, you are not God. 3. Was tithing condemned in d new testament? Ans: tithing was a Jewish religious obligation of the old covenant, It was not compulsory for the gentiles. I'm a Yoruba man, not a Jews. Yes we were made among the common wealth of Israel through Christ. But that's a spiritual thing and not material like tithing or money giving. So your argument do not follow at all. 5.what is actually d agenda and mission of "DADDY FREEZE" Ans: you are not Daddy freeze |

Backward old testament people That's why the courses of tithe is still also your fantacy, because tithe was old testament law |

D1official: Definitely and obviously d end of all things has dawned on us,the prophecies of the scriptures is being fulfilled before our very eyes. To us the believers,we are glad because everyday draws us closer to our home, to the unbelievers we are crazy and to the non -yet believers the grace is still sufficient to you all. It's no longer a news that a Daddy called "FREEZE" who has being known for his criticisms against "Tithing" has looked like a torn in the flesh of many by him asking for a new testament proof which validates tithing an old testament doctrine today. WONDERFUL!! But here are some great points and questions for "DADDY AND ALL HIS CREW" . 1. Has God ever used a non prophet or ordinary person as a voice against a fake prophet or to correct a prophet in both old and new testament?. It should be clear to each and every one of us, that God has Neva used an ordinary person to correct a false or real prophet of his, not in the old or even the new testament can such ever be found. For example God used (young prophet Samuel - prophet Eli),(Samuel to correct and punish King Saul), (Prophet Nathan to correct king David), (Paul to rebuke bar Jesus)... Since God has never used someone like "DADDY FREEZE" before, who then is making use of him?. 2.Who called daddy freeze into these teachings? In point one, we have ascertained that the likes of "FREEZE" has never being used by God before in both old and new testament to correct the church. It is also very interesting for us to note that, the work of God is not a white collar job that every intellectual can just be employed, just because he feels emotionally attached. Every single soul that has worked for God to bring to pass a particular agenda has everly being on God's strict and clear calling. John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Romans 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. It is obvious to us that DADDY wasn't called by God neither has he ever mentioned at any point or anywhere that he's being called by God. So who called him?. 3. Was tithing condemned in d new testament?. Every one that has stood firmly with "FREEZE" has always being of the opinion that tithing is an old testament doctrine and no longer exists in the new testament. But actually non of them have being able to show us where tithing was abolished in the new testament by Jesus or the disciples. And therefore since tithing was encouraged in the old testament and has a lot of similar backings in the new testament, why shouldn't we continue with it ,why scrap it out when JESUS nor any of his disciples didn't condemned it?. 4. Has God ever divided his own church?. Has God ever allowed the church to be publicly disgraced before, even at the expense of fake prophets?.NO!!. God has never done that in the scriptures. In fact Jesus in (Matt 13:36-43) made reference to the parable of the wheat and tares. Jesus made it clear that the tares should be left untouched. why?. Because he clearly doesn't want to divide his church. So who is dividing US?. 5.what is actually d agenda and mission of "DADDY FREEZE". The main agenda of "FREEZE" is nothing other than to destroy the economic sufficiency of the church just to hinder it's growth. By claiming that all tithing which has being going to churches, should all be redirected into charity. The question now is, will God ever cut the flow of resources to his body?. We must note that the church is the people but the people can never be the church. " GATE OF HELL SHALL NEVA PREVAIL AGAINST D CHURCH". BRETHERN let's be wiser than the devil. You are wrong, There is nobody that is ordinary in christianity. We all were made priests through Christ, including Daddy freeze, not only pastors. We are all equal in God's sight by virtue of Christ who is our only high priest. Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion in christianity. So pastors should not impose their tithing philosophy to people and let them choose whom to believe, whether daddy freeze or them. So far daddy freeze is getting a better argument than them and he is winning people to his side So, go sleep |

This type of pastor Bernard is not common to see in Nigeria. If people can shield away their pride and accept the truth the way it is, just like this man, then Nigeria will become a better place |

Acidosis: Jesus Christ (Himself) said "I will build my Church, and the gate of hell shall not prevail".
Only a gate of hell like you would assume destroying the "Church" is normal and biblical.
Note, I didn't say the Church is the wood or the people, I'm not ready to define that but whatever it means, you cannot destroy it. Mr man i didn't say i was going to destroy THE CHURCH, as a matter of fact I'm very much interested in the expansion of THE CHURCH that's why I'm speaking out against evil in churches. THE CHURCH and church are two different thing don't be deceived. .Jesus says i will build my church which is THE CHURCH . he did not say he was going to build church. THE CHURCH is the body of Christ, all christians(people) world wide, while church is religious building you people go every Sundays . This is what you are ignorant of, so with your ignorance you are automatically the gate of hell who is in now fighting THE CHURCH |

Acidosis: We? Who?
I bet none of your generation would be able to live any longer in Nigeria if you take away Christianity. You think the Muslims will allow you destroy their Mosques and Islam the way Freeze and his crew rubbish Christianity?
Meanwhile, I have said this time and time again. Only stark illiterates assume Christianity blocks industrial revolutions.
Norway is the most developed Country in the whole world. Meanwhile, Christianity has been a compulsory subject in Norway since the 17th century.
You get my point now?
If you can't "develop" in the midst of the most peaceful and tolerant religion in the world, forget it, nothing else can make you develop. You are a bush man o, Or may be you are underage who can't think along. Did i say i was going to take away christianity or islam? Do you think church going and christianity are the same thing? What I mean is that one can still practice his christianity without church. It has already started. When Jesus says i will destroy the temple in 3 days what did he meant? Did he actually destroy temple building or the Jewish religion? People like you cannot think to understand other people's comment yet you are talking. How can you then understand what Daddy freeze is driving at? Do you think Daddy freeze is against christianity? If he was against christianity why are millions of christians on social media supporting his point of view? Have you sit down to ask yourself that question? Whether you like it or not by God's grace all this church church in Nigeria will pave way for something better I don't have your time again Bye |

Acidosis: Then allow Jesus Christ to destroy the temples of the so called thieving pastors.
Do you want to take the laws into your hands? Jesus don't need to destroy the temple again. We are gradually destroying it. A time will come when people will be educated enough not to be interested in pastors and churches or mosques anymore or anything religion, but rather they will focus their energy and interest on industrialization and development. Religion has been a big mistake and flop to the society. In this Nigeria, bet me, It has already started, gradually gradually we are getting there Then all your pastors will go bankrupt |

Acidosis: 1. Apostle Paul requested for money
(1 Corinthians 16:2, NIV)
Apostle Paul particularly instructed the people to set aside a sum of money that is proportionate to their income. This was a convenient way of collecting the money, that has now become a trend among Christians every Sunday. Is Paul a fat-fed and corrupt Apostle?
2. Jesus watched as the "Sheeple" widow dropped money for corrupt religious leaders but He did not free the "Sheeple"
- Mark 12:41-
At the time Jesus observed the widow's offering, the treasury was managed by corrupt religious leaders, but Jesus did not free the sheeple widow. Nowhere was it mentioned that Jesus instructed her not to give her last penny! Instead Christ was interested in blessing her seed. Ask yourself, would Jesus partake in the #freethesheeple movement if He and the Apostles were around today?
3. If your Pastor sow spiritual things to you, it is right and appropriate to give him those material things you can afford, and Yes, that includes a Jet!
- 1 Corinthians 9:9-14 Monkey, Daddy freeze is never against giving any amount to pastors at your free will just like the woman in the bible did, he is against the 10% compulsion known as tithe . Also, if like you said, inspite the corrupt religious leaders of those days people were still giving to the temple, the question is, did Jesus also foolishly gave like that? THE ANSWER IS NO. Because that same temple, Jesus destroyed in 3 days rather than giving his money to build, so he does not need to lead the free the sheeple campaign to show his disapproval to the attitudes of the corrupt religious leaders. Also, Jesus came to the world and stated his mission clearly. He came to save mankind from sin, not to emancipate people from ignorance and oppression of worldly leadership. The Roman empire were also oppressing the Jews as at that time too, not only their religious leaders. So, if you want to emancipate yourself you are the one to do it for yourself not Christ. Daddy freeze is not Christ, from what he has said he has emancipated a lot of people. So he is very good to go And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. That simply means you are the one to willingly learn to know the truth. The truth cannot be forcefully impossed on you by Christ or anyone. But you will keep suffering the consequences if you refuse to obey the truth, it's as simple as that |

PaChukwudi44: MALACHI Was quoting Deuteronomy 14:28-29
At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year’s produce and store it in your towns, 29 so that the Levites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
This was the levitical tithe that was once every three years The funny thing is, This instruction was specifically for the Jews back then and not for us christians today. Why are we then killing ourselves paying tithe? Even today Jews don't pay again |

ebenholer: So for the fact that some pastors live a flamboyant life is the reason why the biblical injuction should be disregarded in paying tithes. Leave such pastor to God for judgement while u do ur best to make it to heaven You see where you people are also getting it wrong? You fail to understand that heaven is right inside you. You are the heaven.. Heaven was a gift given to you by Christ a long time ago. In this heaven that you are, you must fight for your right. Don't allow yourself to be cheated, not even by pastors. Tithe is not bible injunction, it was Torah injunction. Torah and bible are two different thing. Yes, Torah make up part of the bible which is old testament does not mean that the two are the same. You should be educated to that extent |
