The NFF would receive at least $480,000 (N174.7 million) in preparation grants for the WWC. The total preparation grant to be disbursed to the 24 participating FAs would be $11,520,000. *Exchange rate of N364=$1.
Then at the tournament each team is guaranteed to receive $750,000, provided they place between 17th-24th 9th -16th placed teams receive $1,000,000; while the overall winners receive $4 million. |

emonkey: Steroid body. A great way to die young, of multiple organs failure. Right. The effects of anabolic steroids are many. For instance, male steroid users would suffer shrinking testicles, acne, early baldness etc. For the women, their external clit would look like the pe'nis of a 1 year old boy; their voice will permanently deepen, and their period cycles will become irregular. |

3-4 friendlies next year, in addition to a camping period, should be adequate preparation. BTW, FIFA permits WC teams to name a max of 50 and a minimum of 23 players on their prelim lists, which means that Dennerby would name 48 players again For flights longer that 4 hours, FIFA would pay for business flight tickets for up to 35 members of a national delegation (players and officials) |

arantess: I want to believe the National assembly can override the president on this issue ? Thoughts?? Yes. The NASS, by a two-thirds vote in each chamber, can override a president’s veto. However, I agree with President Buhari on this issue. It’s way too late in the game to start changing the rules. It’s not wise to start the electoral process with the 2015 Electoral Act, and conduct the general election using the potential new law. I wholeheartedly the bill should only be applicable to elections after 2019. |

So far, I think these players should be called up to fight for places in the 23-woman WC squad:
Alaba Jonathan (not sure if Oheriaku is better than her) Folashade Ijamilusi Ini Umotong Evelyn Nwabuoku Isabella Okoye* Chioma Ugbogagu* Uchechi Sunday (her 6ft frame and decent footwork should be an asset) Ugo Njoku Osas Igbinovia (to keep Ayinde and Chikwelu on their toes).
Obviously, the availability of both Okoye and Ugbogagu would depend on whether either player accepts to switch allegiance to Nigeria. |

IFearGod: That's a bad response and it says a lot why she's still single at such an old age. She must have passed the normal thresold age for her to be reminded of such. And it takes a caring family member to still have the time to remind her that "Time waits for no man"
My instinct tells me that vast majority of female folks supporting her rude and disrespectful behaviour would be aged 30 and above. It's not because they re happy with their situations but because they feel they have found a new way of staying relevant.
Ladies, take it or leave it, if you are 30 years and above and still single, you are not just outdated but also expired. There's no hope for you because you are worthless; no amount of 'waiting for the right time' would save your situation.
We guys have found new life and bright future in young girls. Gone are those days when age matters in choosing partners, not anymore. Young girls understand, live and give it far better than the old cargoes. It just a pity how the tide has turned. Sir, women and men should be left to decide for themselves when they choose to get married. If someone says he/she wants to marry at the age of 32 or 35, let them be. Moreover, women in their early 40s or late 30s are still fertile and can conceive a baby. However, he reply to her aunt was rude and a bit over the top. She could have replied in a firm but polite manner. |

olapluto: Well, it should be exciting to fight for world cup places. Many many good players to be invited. I think this AWCON has exposed areas that need urgent attention. Osas Igbinovia has to come in for Rita Chikwelu. Our ever dependable wing back has to be brought back, and I believe the former captain also needs to be brought back. Attackers like Courtney Dike should be brought back to compete for places. Uchechi Sunday also needs to go to France.
Preparation is key and from what I saw, the girls need at least 2 months INTENSIVE camping to reach a fitness level needed for world cup. Even after that, they then need another 3 weeks or so for technical and tactical trainings. For now, we need to start playing friendly matches. Not sure whether Courtney Dike is playing professional football. Remember she was invited for the AWCON but didn’t show up. So she may have ditched football following her graduation from college. |

Mehn...see balling Ayam telling you! The technique on display by the Spanish, Mexican, and Japanese teams is far above anything we’ve seen at the AWCON. I just wonder how the African reps at next year’s World Cup would fare when they come up against the more polished senior sides from Japan or the US |

safarigirl: we cannot step up and host anything. We could barely organise African Athletics Competition, how much more AFCON?
How many of our stadiums are up to standard and how many will be up to standard by June?
We have elections coming in February, you think anybody will have time for AFCON organisation during election period in Nigeria? Aside that, Dalung and Pinnick are still having their cold war, do you think we can successfully organise such a competition in the middle of that war? Bear in mind, the stadiums are government property and not NFFproperty, you will need government approval before you go to CAF to drop proposal. Which government will answer anybody by next year?
We cannot host AFCON in an election year and we don't need to host it. Make our players go enjoy other people country.
Let SA host it, after all, they are going to need that AFCON 2019 ticket after Libya knocks them out of contention in March Remember that Nigeria hosted the 1999 U-20 World Cup in April of that year, barely 2 months after that year’s presidential election. And the organization of that tournament was close to flawless. Moreover, Naija also hosted the All Africa Games in 2003 - another election year. So there is precedent of the country being able to host major sporting events in election years. Now, to your assertion that the FG would be reluctant to allow the NFF use its stadia for hosting the tournament, the NFF could ask Akwa Ibom, Delta, and Lagos states for permission to use their state stadia for the competition. The difficult part of any NFF plan to host the AFCON would be the receipt of a government guarantee to host it. This is where the feud between Pinnick and Dalung may result in Dalung successfully convincing Buhari to decline such a govt guarantee. |

If possible, the Falcons should participate in either the Algarve Cup or the SheBelieves Cup next year.
Alternatively, 3 or 4 friendly games should be lined up for the team before the World Cup. And those matches should be executed with the present squad + 6 other players who would be part of the provisional squad. I don’t want to see a situation where Dennerby calls up 50 players to camp. |

Just watched the SA v Mali highlights, and all the goal mouth action was in the Malian goal And SA’s second goal was an absolute beauty! The SF have a real fight on their hands on Saturday. Between now and Saturday, something has to be done by Dennerby to improve the linkage between the midfield and attack. Aside from the Equatorial Guinea match, the connection between the mids and forwards has been below average, which makes the team’s attacking moves so disjointed. |
