Olumaeme: I am very happy that Kwankwaso is doing so well in Kano and other NE and NW states. Those are the places Tinubu is looking to harvest votes from. if Lets say RMK does very well and Atiku does well too, then it will reduce the votes of Tinubu and make it favour Obi.
Tinubu cannot lock down south. Even in the South West, Osun, Lagos, Ogun, he will find it very diffcullt to win there. Only Ekiti, Ondo and Oyo i expect him to win. SS/SE are no go area for him. NC will vote for Obi, Nassarawa, Benue, Jos, FCT, Tinubu have small hope in Kogi, Kwara and Niger but he will likely not even win with landlside because in Kwara, PDP has Saraki, in Kogi, the 2 former Governors are with PDP and Atiku and in Niger, the former governor is with Atiku, and most importantly, the Governors has performed woefully.
This election favors Obi. That i know!
This is the reality that they are finding difficult to accept even though it’s staring them in the face.
makavalley: Lol even Okowa knows he is not winning, I am not far from his house at the moment , his neighbours are not voting him despite borrowing billions under the name of Delta State to fund the election...Okowa is our own , our son and brother but we are not voting him we South South are wiser than this ..No religious person or leader decides who we should vote for me are not dullards, we decide for ourselves..we don't play such politics wake up boy we are voting Peter Obi.. Okowa kindred are voting Peter Obi
Kyase and Garfield1 hope you have seen enough receipts from people on ground in Delta?
I know it won’t stop you from your wishful thinkings but I’m happy more people are telling you what we have been trying to make you understand since September last year.
Iamgrey5: Everyone single one of the decided voters chose Kwakwaso and only one igbo man chose obi
One Hasusa man talk say Tinubu na him second choice.
No one chose Atiku
About 60% of those interviewed are undecided or are not voting.
So what is exciting for Obi here?
What is exciting for Obi is that Kwankwaso is not a major contender but he is on track to waste Kano votes and make sure they don’t go to Obi’s closest challengers.
Secondly, with visible likelihood of voter apathy that would happen in the north as evidenced through the responses of the respondents, what that means is that the stronghold of Obi’s challengers will return lesser number of votes than it has done in recent years. But what is most exciting for Obi is the fact that even the lesser number of voters that is likely to be returned, is being contested by 3 strong candidates.
On the contrary, Obi’s stronghold is, more than ever, enthusiastic to come out and vote in their millions.
1Dray: Majority of them are not undecided as per say, they actually said they won't be voting, as in they are done voting because they trusted Buhari but he failed. Others said they will let God choose for them, whoever God chooses is fine for them, which is a subtle way of saying they won't be voting. Like you rightly stated majority of those voting chose to vote Kwankwaso.
One thing I'm happy about this Kano poll by BantuPage is that, they didn't cover Sabon Gari, which is Peter Obi's stronghold, which houses South-easterners and South-southerners, and the christians populace. Obi will surely pull handful of vote that boost his votecount in Sabon Gari, Kano. I know this because I was once a Bakano.
Exactly my happiness too.
If they had polled Sabon Gari, maybe Tinubu supporters would have used that as excuse.
HeroicMeastro: You think Imams decides for them who to vote because it is a norm for Pastors to direct you ppl for who to vote for. B you got it absolutely wrong here!
Lol!
So because the Imams don’t seem to be forthcoming with preaching Tinubu, you are now denying their influence on voters?
Everyone knows that Pastors don’t have quarter of the influence Imams have over Muslims.
SugarGirl44: I’m a prostitute who only come to nairaland when I’m not getting forked for money. And because I’m a man, my clients fork me in the anus. I have a terrible life.
Kyase: Street polls my ass Atiku won all street polls except in Adamawa in 2019 What happened next Obidient expect SS to vote obi when they have their son on PDP ticket
We are talking Kano and you left Kano to jump to SS…
And talking about 2019 elections, the world knows Atiku won 2019 elections fair and square.
That Buhari was declared by INEC does not negate the fact that Atiku won the election.
MrEverest: Lol, I laugh at those saying that Tinubu will get 25% in Imo state. Both APC and PDP combined won't get up to 20% in Imo state and that's a fact!
Actually, both of them combined might not get up to 10%.
MrEverest: I have not seen a more senseless and deluded group like Yoruba muslims. These clowns will swear with their lives that all Yorubas will vote for Tinubu because he is their brother yet they also claim that Tinubu will win in NW and NE
So, NW and NE people won't vote for Kwankwaso and Atiku despite being their sons, but will vote Tinubu an outsider. So, NW and NE people are foolish to vote for outsider while SW muslims are the only wise ones that vote for their own
They should continue deceiving themselves, it will make Tinubu's disgrace more exciting
Lol!
And what is most annoying is that most of the time they say things without facts.
Imo state is one of the Southeast states under the governance of an APC governor.
Now, because of the sitting APC governor, supporters of APC have been bandying different narratives of how Tinubu might win Imo because of Hope Uzodimma, or get 25% at worst.
Though some people who are more conversant with the reality on ground in Imo State have been trying to tell these people that things are different in Imo but they remained adamant that they believe in their structure.
Well, I bring to you an unbiased opinion poll organized by BantuPage in Imo State.
I bring you an unbiased street poll organized by BantuPage in the city and villages of Kano.
Almost all respondents spoke in Hausa but I’m sure someone who doesn’t understand Hausa would still be able to pick the key responses of respondents.
Some hints: Kwankwaso reigns supreme here.
2: Nobody mentioned Tinubu which is a stark departure from the picture some APC supporters paint of Kano.
And lastly, majority of Kano voters are undecided. These are the people who leave their choice for an Imam to make for them, I believe. So, in the end, whoever the Imams end up directing them to vote will get their votes.
toneroforever: It's quite a complicated issue. It's more of a crisis of identity. As much as I respect people's right to choose how they live their lives but the name they bear is Igbo. Like u pointed out,Ukwuani as a word is nothing but Igbo. They may not like the Igbos of the SE(maybe they were offended in the past, I don't know) but the language they speak & the name they bear is still Igbo whether they like it or not.. In my opinion, they have every right to dissociate themselves from SE Igbos if they so choose, but for them to be taken seriously that they are not of Igbo origin then they should invent a non-Igbo name and also a non-Igbo language. It's pure objectivity & it has nothing to do with sentiments.
Of course, I recognize that they have such right.
But unfortunately for them, the rest of Nigeria see them as nobody else but Igbos; and that includes all their other partners in confusion like the Ikwerres and co.
FatherOfJesus: Well, I am laughing at people who think Obi needs to win Kano, Katsina, Borno, kebbi and Zamfara to be president. They don't know any.
They are not aware of how prepared we are
Lol!
This time around, there KKK will be shared by 3 gladiators which will decimate the effect that votes from those states used to have when they are cast for a single candidate.
Thinkam: Judging the media wave he ENJOYS currently, if the PDP doesn't perform well in 2023 to 2027.
I see Peter Obi winning in 2027, that's if El-rufai doesn't contest sha . The PDP must do everything possible to live to the expectations of Nigerians no matter how little..
2023 was long decided after 2019 election, Atiku is coming no DOUBT, INFACT ATIKU IS HERE.
Obi will drop out of the 2023 race latest December. Agbado will keep smuggling his powder post 2023.
ATIKU IS HERE
You are actually right about one thing - that 2023 was decided after the 2019 elections; or so your paymasters thought.
But you see, God had other plans, one of which was the Obi joker that none of us saw coming.
danvon: I remember when I was in school, one guy in my department decided to run for SUG, I was just perplexed a 200 level student wants to be SUG he wasn't even popular in my department, he was friends with the school radio host and even held a talk show, he was also friends with our H.O.D and maybe he thought this made him popular, it became really annoying when my course rep and some excos started applying pressure to the whole 200 and 100 lvl to vote for him...
and at end of it all he lost, last position.
He later ran for a faculty and department election, he lost both.
Peter Obi reminds me a lot of that guy.
Even if he manages to win he simply doesn't have the machinery to rule Nigeria efficiently.
Lol!
I the fact that after likening Obi to your friend who ran for SUG at 200 level, you admitted at last that Obi might win but won’t have the machinery to lead Nigeria.
But I make due to ask, what machinery are you talking about please?
Ukwu ani do not speak Igbo!! This is how fake news is spread far and wide!
That you said Ukwuani does not speak Igbo has just proven that you are in Ogbomoso.
Because even the name, Ukwuani is Igbo. It is a combination of 2 Igbo words “ukwu” (leg) and “ani” (land”, which can better be translated to mean “lower land”.
Again, Ukwuani musicians sing and distribute their songs all over Igboland and every Igbo man understands what they are singing. One of such songs is the popular “Anu Nwobi N’egbu Azu” which is a very popular song in all Igboid territories in Nigeria and world over.
