Politics › Re: Agboola Ajayi Emerges As The PDP Senatorial Candidate For Ondo South by Penguin2: 6:33am On May 24, 2022
It was a close call.

But PDP shouldn’t have cleared this idiot to contest on her platform.

If he had remained in PDP in the last election, I’m sure PDP would have won. But the animal jumped to ZLP and split the votes and made PDP lose.

There should be punishment for such actions.

Just like Wike is saying that Atiku, Saraki and Tambuwal should not be rewarded with PDP ticket again for their role in Buhari’s victory in 2015.

Am sorry you will not get anything meaningful from majority of comments here.

They will invade here with tribal sentiments, Nigerians have been beclouded by suffering that they don't even care about a better life again. That's the sad reality.

The first question is, is Nigeria truly free? If Nigeria is free and the person in Aso takes decisions without external influence, then Peter Obi's visit to the UK is just a political pilgrimage.

On the other hand, if Nigeria is been controlled by the UK and policed by the US, then they are about to make a change of government that will shock many people.

Of all the countries, that were colonized by the Bristish it is only Nigeria that is still crawling while the others are walking and running. The Great Britain prides herself in breeding powerful Nations and regional powers.

Look at US and Canada in the American Continent
Look at Australia and New Zealand in Oceania
Look at Israel and Egypt in the middle East
Look at India, UAE. Britain ruled UAE for 75 years.
Look at South Africa and Ghana.

Britain wanted Nigeria to be the most powerful and influential nation in the entire Africa, but those they handed power over chose illiteracy over education, nepotism over equity, terrorism over humanity. Nigeria they so much loved have become a failed state. And will slipping into the hands of China as the government keep taking loans from China. China will continue to lend Nigeria money till they begin to seize the key assets of the country as Nigeria will one day default on these Chinese loans. When this happens, Britain will loose Nigeria to China forever.

If Britain truly calls the shots in Nigeria, which I think is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf. Then they are about to make a change of government to save Nigeria their creation.

In terms of will power. My brother, Peter Obi is a gentle man to the core. But he is a no nonsense man with power. He killed lots of Biafran agitators and dumped their corpses in a river during his time as Anambra governor, what he will do to terrorists will shock many.
Lol

I’m replying just to your last paragraph…

You I have always laughed when people tend to underestimate Peter Obi’s will power.

Somebody that eradicated touts from Upper Iweka and fought Anambra Godfathers to a standstill, but people think it’s by being razz and shouting everywhere that demonstrates you are tough.

ScamHunter:
I feel like seeking the opinion of enlightened people on what I perceive about the candidate, Peter Obi. My main reason for opening this thread is to understand a few things. One is, is Peter Obi actually capable? The question sounds simple but here's what I mean:

China lifted millions of its working class out of poverty without following "due process" if you know what I mean. The same has happened among the Asian Tigers. Do you think any black country has what it takes to accomplish that through a man with the vision? If Peter Obi has the vision, does he have the will?

I'm marginally rendering a comment I made in another post:
You just mentioned that China and Asian Tigers lifted millions of their people out poverty…

But I can bet my early morning yellowish urine that before the advent of Peter Obi into the Nigerian Political space, you didn’t know about this.

It is Peter Obi who has constantly drawn comparisons between China, India, Bangladesh and Nigeria.

And he tells you the reason for the comparison is simple, that these countries have huge population living in poverty.

Now, he tells how China, India and Bangladesh lifted millions of their people out of poverty through support for SMEs and not through 10k Tradermoni that cannot even be enough for transportation to purchase your goods.

To lift someone out of poverty, you need to give him seed capital for his small business. Seed capital running to millions, enough to start the business and then give him so tax incentives especially in the early days of the business to allow him grow. I learnt all these listening to Peter Obi.

Now, about the will to do it… what will do you need?

It’s not as if you are going to harm anybody by supporting SMEs. So, what’s the talk about will? Or are you telling me touts and political godfathers are going to say deploy their boys against giving capitals to SMEs or giving tax incentives to them? It doesn’t require will, just the knowledge.

Go and tell that to China who dominates the so called free market economy of the world with many products from pro establishment factories. Like they say in China, what matters is not how you caught the rat but that you caught the rat! Problem with your type is that you gobble everything line hook and sinker. China Telecom is almost owned by the Chinese security branch. The China Mobile, is almost totally owned by the same Chinese government. Chinese companies in Oil and Gas are wholly owned by The Chinese government! The China Bank and The China Bank of Commerce and Industry, are all state owned. CESCO that is the main indigenous Chinese shipping line is state owned! The list is endless and in every sector of the Chinese economy..And you know what?

All these companies are amongst the highest earners and top dogs in the Chinese economy. Do your research! Infact most of these real estate, chemicals, and trading companies that pretend to be private entities from China are nothing but state cooperations being privately managed by proxies in order to avoid WTO sanctions. This is why the The PLA is awash with cash year in year out, irrespective of the fact that the statutory budgetary allocations are many times smaller to say thtnof The US. If your problem in Nigeria is tribalism, fight to fix that, but don't use that argument to push for an economic agenda that only favors a tiny group of totally corrupt elite , while the majority of the people become poor spectators in the running of their countrys economy.
Funny how you can draw comparisons with China to make your point but if Peter Obi did this same thing, you would be among those to call him Obi China…

Now to your argument, do you even understand that China is a Communist Country while Nigeria is Democratic and Capitalist Country?

Or you don’t understand the difference between Communism and Capitalism?

And to those Chinese companies doing well like you said, do you know why? Because they appoint the best brains to head them. They do not appoint based on quota system or due to some ethnic or primordial sentiments and consideration.

Again, in China, once you are convicted of corruption, you are executed publicly which makes the public officials accountable and transparent in dealing with those state owned companies.

Can your aboki senators agree to the introduction of death penalty for corruption in Nigeria?

Please always understand things clearly before putting your mouth into them.

Politics › Re: Wike, Makinde, Ortom Meet Obasanjo Behind Closed-Doors (Photos) by Penguin2: 5:54am On May 24, 2022
The aim of the meeting is simple to deduce.

OBJ called Wike and his two armies of Makinde and Ortom to tell them of the choice of Peter Obi for the PDP ticket.

As they are leaving the meeting, they are going to start to a realignment and the collapse of their structure behind Obi.

The south and MiddleBelt must go to the convention with a united front behind the best man for the job.

Everything is working for good for Peter Obi and it is Nigeria and Nigerians that would be the greatest beneficiaries.

Fresh air is coming

Release Nnamdi Kanu and if a single killing happens again, then you go after those people as common criminals and blast their brains off their head.

Oh! I forgot that Buhari’s powers of prerogative of mercy is only exercised on corrupt people and petty thieves, and not on someone whose release can save an entire region from carnage.

Another segment of the economy that needs to be nationalized as quick as possible! Some of these strategic areas need to be recalibrated in ways that allow the government to make money off them! The cement industry! The telecommunications industry! The betting industry! The solid minerals industry and ofcourse Oil and Gas! In some, government should go for half the stake in companys total equity! I don't see anything reasonably different that they're doing compared.

Some of these very lucrative aspects of the economy needs to be nationalized and handed over to some business boards being managed for the Army and police. That's how the security agencies in most countries fighting serious wars or facing serious enemies make more money away from meager budgetary allocations.

Some totally brainwashed black people will come over here to start quoting all sorts of regurgitated bullshit about free trade and privatisation. Go and tell that to China.. Ask them to tell you how to raise extra monies to fund the on going wars and they will go silent! Ask them to show you the added reinvestments in other strategic areas of the economy by these rent seekers parading around as prime investors, who got all these business permits from the Nigerian government for pittance but only uses the mega proceeds and profits to buy mansions in Dubai and London, they will keep quiet!
We are talking of privatizing more companies and you are talking about nationalization so that they can appoint aboki to run the companies down and steal billions as usual abi?

What a load of nonsense. These are the kind of lies Igbos keep telling themselves to promote the forever victim complex. PDP was created by the G34. The group of top politicians that had opposed Abacha, as well as retired senior Army officers like IBB. The idea that Ekuame created PDP is a total lie. Ekuame contested the PDP primary against Obasanjo and LOST. The presidency was NOT microzoned to the SW.
You guys really need to stop the falsehoods and deal with facts. The simple fact is the SE is too disunited to be an effective political zone.
Just look at Peter Obi. A candidate that has mass appeal all over Nigeria, yet not a single SE governor serving or former has endorsed him. If you will not endorse your own, why should the rest of us vote for a SE candidate?
FACT!

A magician pulls out a bird from his mouth on stage, and you say “Yes! He pulled the bird from his mouth; that’s a FACT”.

People with brains always questions the trick behind the magicians display.

Only fools and numbskulls swallow facts without questioning what is behind the facts.

Ekwueme lost to Obasanjo in Jos, that’s a fact.

But what happened before the Jos convention? That’s another fact behind the fact you hold so dearly but you don’t want to face that fact.
Politics › Re: 2023: Buhari To Meet Governors, NASS Caucus, Zero In On Consensus by Penguin2: 7:51am On May 23, 2022
Ayed44:
Obasanjo has been chosen on consensus before the primary election. In order to douse the tension raised by the Yorubas because of the evil treatment of MKO Abiola, the North's ruling class decided to compensate them with the presidency. And Obasanjo was the most trusted Ally. Obasanjo was specifically released from the prison for this purpose. So the PDP's presidential primary in Jos in 1998 was just a facade to satisfy all righteousness.

Same thing with APC. APC had already chosen Buhari on consensus in 2014/15 even before the primary was held in Lagos that year.
Tell them.

They like to deceive and lie to themselves instead of facing the truth as it is.

Exactly my point.

In the last two elections, PDP have only succeeded in garnering just few thousands of votes unlike APC who garnered over 1.9million votes in 2015 for instance.

So, Kano situation is APC loss. Which is why it is funny to see some APC supporters trying to play down the consequences by rehashing “PDP is dead in Kano” as if it changes anything.
