tujays:That would be one of the happenstances of life. How would you compare that to when I see my death and walk into it myself? |
I don almost join army last year November but I had mercy on my life and withdrew. Who knows, maybe by now Boko Haram for don blast my brains off or bandits use me for training. Alternatively, I would have survived all these things and had a wonderful military career. But I choose not to play my life like a dice abeg.

Babinski:You might not be far from the truth. |
As the preparations for 2023 general elections hit top gear, one of the many rhetorics that has been in the public space is that we should look beyond APC and PDP in 2023 to cast our votes. Of course this is obviously in the presidential election. This narrative is projected by those who argue that APC and PDP are peopled by irredeemably corrupt politicians who cannot engineer that kind of change Nigerians are yearning for, hence the need to look beyond the two parties. But let’s try to dissect this claim and find out if there’s merit. In logic, there’s something called fallacy and one type of fallacy is the “fallacy of over generalization”. So, first of all, the projectors of this argument are guilty of the fallacy of over generalization by concluding that because A, B and C are in APC and are bad people, therefore all those in APC are bad people. Or because D, E and F are in PDP and are terrible people, therefore PDP as a party is terrible. This kind of thinking is called inductive reasoning. That is, arriving at a general conclusion from the observation of particular events or happenings or occurrences and it has been found to be an erroneous way of reasoning because you will arrive at an erroneous conclusion. From the above argument, you would see how erroneous their line of thinking is. Because you can’t because you don’t like Buhari, Tinubu and Malami in APC and deny the fact that men like Osinbajo, Umaru Zulum, Dave Umahi and Rotimi Amaechi are not as terrible even though they are not saints. But there are no saints in politics anyway. Or is there? Again, you can’t say because people like Diezani, Dasuki and Ibori are PDP products, therefore everything about is evil. That would be closing your eyes on characters like Peter Obi, Ibrahim Dakwambo, Akinwunmi Adesina, etc, who are all of PDP stock. So you see how problematic that line of thinking is? Another point to consider is how many of these parties have national presence to galvanize people for elections and to watch and secure their votes in the over 120,000 polling units in the nation? I give you an example, in 2019, we had over 70 people who contested the presidential election, but I can tell you authoritatively as a fact that at the polling unit where I voted, I did not see any other party agents aside PDP and APC agents. Where was the agents of the 68 others? It’s simple, some of the people who contested in that election didn’t even campaign beyond their states, that is for those that campaigned in their state anyway. The last thing on my list is “beware of new charlatans”. Yes, beware of new charlatans because we have many of them in our political space already. I suppose you know charlatans, right? But supposing you don’t, let me tell you who charlatans are. Charlatans are those who, happing on public distrust with existing system, claim to have found solution to the system and are therefore an alternative to the present managers of the system and should be given the opportunity to fix the system. Give them the opportunity and they become worse than who they replaced. It is not new , it has been there through history. Men who covet power banking on public disenchantment of their leaders to elect new demons who posed as angels. This is not to say that there are no exceptions to this anyway. But I think Nigerians should know better than trust new charlatans after our 2015 experience. In conclusion, I am of the opinion that as the voting public, instead of wasting our votes on a “good candidate “ who might not win up to 100k votes in total, we should make the two dominant parties understand that we have no party loyalties but preference for the best candidate. So whichever of the party that presents the best candidate, we queue behind the party and ensure that the candidate is elected. When these parties understand that they will win or lose elections based on the quality of their candidate, then they will start bringing their best men forward as candidates. So, it is not enough to ask the youth to mobilize and support one of the mushroom parties, the question is what is the structure of that mushroom party? Or would the youth start building up structure for the party? In the end, I am of the thinking that we should face realism as opposed to such idealistic suggestions and choose between APC and PDP, anyone that presents the best candidate for us as any vote for any mushroom party which will end up counting for nothing, is a wasted vote. As always, no pictures. Even if it’s black and white pictures showing toy guns on the floor. This people no rate us o |
ecolime:You might not be far from the truth. But I would have thought that First Bank hierarchy is still loyal to Awosika and Otudeko to an extent and as such they weren’t supposed to oppose their tacit plan of takeover. That is supposing they are the ones using Otedola as a front. |
I think First Bank hierarchy doesn’t like Otedola’s face. That’s why they are issuing statements in favor of Odukale. I wonder the issue they have with Otedola. |
This is the man that should be gearing up to take over from Buhari and not that drug baron with brown teeth who is both a criminal and a vegetable like Buhari. But zombies have sold their birthright and brain for crumbs. Ndi ala! |
Eriokanmi:U fit run me 5k transfer? Or alternatively, can you buy a car for me to do Uber? I promise to be religious in my weekly remittances until everything is settled. This is supposing you stay in Lagos. |
GreatTormentor:Be like say the pain is too much abi? Wait until Igbo man gets APC ticket. We don’t even want Kalu. Give us Umahi or Onu. |
Eriokanmi:Are we supposed to believe this? |

Turbantheigbos:How many half liters does the entire 19 states of the north produce? Please don’t mention Kogi that is dragging Anambra land because of oil. |
I understand your envy but I can't remember quoting your moniker before now
Don’t mind him joor! He’s probably one of those that swallowed the ignorance that was fed them from Asari Dokubo’s well of ignorance who was shouting that Southeast is a barren land. They have always been all over Nairaland accusing Igbos of doing attaché by force because of oyel. But these pictorial evidences of oil fields in Anambra has bursted their stupidity and they are pained. They will commit suicide when Supreme Court judgment that awarded about 47 oil wells to Imo state is finally implemented. #IgboAmaka

NLPoliceWoman:Have you no better thing to do with your time? Maybe you should consider calling Tinubu and Buhari and as well. J*k*r! |
I think the headline should be, “APC fixes the date for burial ceremony of their party for February 2022” ![]()

Hassanmaye:Not my picture |
Maobichek:Thank you for this. You know when we talk sometimes it will seem as though we hate the north but it’s simply because we don’t let lies like this fly. |
Not just APC governors, I don’t think Direct Primaries will be as good as it’s being painted. |
Every sane Nigeria knows Tinubu has huge issues aside his being a kleptomaniac. It’s only zombies and Lagos urchins who have sold their destiny and the destiny of their generation yet unborn that see Tinubu as their ‘savior’. Ndi ala!

Tor! This one na Aboki statistics concocted at a gworo chewing stand in Kano. I kept reading to see if Daily Trust will quote the source of the statistics but it couldn’t. How can you tell me that Yobe generated 9.2bn of VAT in the period under review while Abia generated 2.2bn? How? What is the market or industry or government workforce that generated such money? This is some piece of trash that will only accepted by zombies as authentic. Another thing we need to do is to study the history of VAT generation of these states and juxtapose it with this present report and get a clearer picture. This people can lie about anything. That’s how they went on Google after 2015 elections and changed the population statistics of Nigeria to state that the Fulanis are the second largest ethnic group in Nigeria after the Hausas. But fools keep cheering them on.

princdebola201:I agree that OUK cannot deliver Abia to APC but he will rule over you and your generation in 2023. And there’s nothing you will do about that. |
What is the need for a meeting that it’s decision will be overridden by the vegetable in Aso Rock? But let me tell you what will happen... The meeting will decide that the party convention will be held in June next year to allow the present Caretaker Committee to serve out the term of the former national working committee. That’s the only legal thing for APC to do and trust me they learnt it from PDP. Meanwhile, OUK2023! Tinubu ambition and its promoters in the mud ![]() |
Tinubuadvocate:Nothing is wrong my dear. After him, Remi will take over. After Remi, then it will be the turn of Iyaloja General of Nigeria. Are you okay now? |
Afonja people will be so pained that no brown roof state made it least state with open defecation ![]() We always tell you guys that Abia is not the picture you see online but you don’t wanna believe us. Now an international ranking just showed how well Abia is doing for herself. But not so with Ogun, Osun, et al |
It is clearly stated that he wrote Governor as position he’s vying for. Those who went to court are mad men. |
Now, she will be moving things officially for the men dem. This country is fvcked. The north sees Nigeria as their playground while other Nigerians are mere spectators. |
More tracks for bandits to bomb. I pray they don’t device a means to kidnap train passengers. |
