Just another hungry author.

Hold elections one million times and Obi will win Delta, Cross River, Edo, Plateau, Taraba, Benue.

Those middle belters stopped caring about northern agenda after they discovered that the Muslim north only use them to makeup numbers and grab power for themselves.

By 2027, Tinubu would still have to depend on INEC to conjure numbers for him if he will beat Obi.

But they no born Tinubu well to repeat the rigging of the last election in 2027 sha.

I agree with you.i may not like lp and obi but I like akpata for the fact that he's independent and self made like okpebholo, has no godfather like okpebholo so if okpebholo.doesn't win,I'll prefer akpata..
They are rumours that obaseki is fronting akpata to step down towards the polls
Another person I'll prefer as deputy is Tom iseghohi another technocrat close to obi but too politically naive
I don’t think Akpata would step down for anybody because that would damage his political capital forever.

It’s like what you people used to say during the presidential election that Obi will step down for Atiku.

But let’s see how things turn out sha.

Edo south is not locked for anybody.a lot of obidients are supporting the esan agenda.majority of obidients believe in obi alone.as you can see some support asue so you can't say south is locked down for any one
Since Edo central is a battle ground,it is best akpata chooses his running mate from there to get votes.ill prefer sergius Ogun who is accomplished.the rice man is unstable..

Ogie is in control of his lga ikpoba okha while idahosa controls his own ovia axis.akpata can only harvest votes mainly in Oredo,Egor, uhumnwonde.
There's nothing he can do about Edo north though he can align with shuaibu or alimikhena or orbih to get some few votes.
If you check well, I’ve not said Edo South is locked down for Akpata. But you can’t tell me you believe those people fooling themselves around and calling themselves Obidients and talking trash about Akpata.

You know politics enough to know that Obaseki and Asue purchasing those guys and making them talk trash. The core Obidients are with Akpata and cannot be bought.

I don’t know if Akpata will win but trust me that Obidients will be with him until the end.
PoliticsRe: Wike Blames Gov SIM For Loss Of Oil Wells To Imo State by Penguin2:
Trashy talk

This is part of the reason that Wike is scared of a Southeastern Igbo becoming president.

He’s scared a lot of the errors that Gowon perpetrated would be corrected.

Places like Egbema was balkanized into two with one part in Imo and the other pushed into Rivers. But these are people that were originally Imo State.

That’s why Uzodimma tried to fight it when he newly robbed Ihedioha’s mandate but Wike succeeded in using the former crook at the Supreme Court, Mary Odili, to rubbish the case.

Like I have always told you,I am the most objective APC fan you will find here.i adapt and take note of the fluidity of politics.i actually saw akpata rose coming but fortunately,it is restricted to benin city which is headquarters of obidients in ss.he is non-existent in the central and north except something extraordinary happens before September.
Nobody has the central on lockdown, this is clear since pdp and apc candidates are from there.they will divide votes here.asue is like tinubu in the north contesting under APC that they know while okpebholo is atiku contesting under pdp they don't like but is their son.both will win their lgas and struggle in the other three...

Edo north is gone.with shuaibu and orbih against obaseki, the margin will be embarrassing.oshiomhole delivered Edo north against gej incumbency in 2015,delivered in 2020 despite the Edo no be Lagos propaganda and did same last year despite the obi tsunami.it will be a walkover now.you may not like it but it is advantage okpebholo...
Funny enough akpata can poll the highest votes if he can get bloc votes in Edo south just like obi did.all he needs is to pick votes elsewhere
This is one of the few times you have been interesting to talk with.

The thing is that we now know the deputies of both Asue and Okpebholo, and we now know that neither Idahosa nor Asue’s running mate can topple Akpata in Edo South. So, Edo South is advantage Akpata.

If not for the sensibilities of the Esan people, I would have advised Akpata to pick his running mate from the north. Oshiomole might be popular in the north but, apart from Shuaibu, there has to be another person in that north that can help him cause an upset there.

But I heard Akpata talk in an interview and I know he’s likely to pick his running mate from the Central because of the Esan agenda. Maybe Rice Man can do it for him.

Now, if he picks Rice Man, Rice Man has considerable popularity that can’t be dismissed in Edo Central. So, if he brings the numbers he can from the Central and Akpata does his homework well in the South and garner bloc votes there, then Edo north becomes battleground with Okpebholo having a slight advantage because of Oshiomole factor.

I don’t know if I’m right, but those dismissing Akpata with the flip of a finger might be in for a shocker.

It is simply because most of asue supporters were lp guys who are now flocking back to akpata who is better honestly than ighodalo.the more akpata grows in popularity, the better for APC because most of his supporters would have voted pdp...
Akpata as predicted will win or divide votes in Edo south and will fail woefully in central and north paving way for okpebholo
You know I was thinking you would, in your usual manner, deny the fact that Akpata seems to be growing into the race more than we thought he would and truly, it’s Ighodalo that is suffering it most.

But you need to understand that Okpebholo doesn’t have Central on lockdown while I can’t really say how much votes he can garner from the north with Oshiomole’s influence.

From what is playing out, the race is becoming unpredictable.

One month ago I thought Ighodalo was going to have an easy ride to Osadebey Avenue but I don’t think anybody can still hit his chest and say he’s sure of that now.
PoliticsAre Edo People Tilting Towards Olumide Akpata Already? by Penguin2(op): 9:29am On Mar 24, 2024
Before the different party primaries, there was this huge clamour for power to rotate to Esan people of Edo State and Asue Ighodalo of the PDP seemed to be the poster child.

But since the end of the primaries and the emergence of Olumide Akpata of Labour Party who though is from Edo South, is a capable candidate not encumbered by any godfather or things like that, the the Asue Ighodalo campaign seems to be steadily losing steam and people tend to be tilting towards Akpata.

I stand to be corrected but from clips I’ve seen online of their engagements with the people on ground, I’ve not seen anything extraordinary about Ighodalo to justify the hype he seemed to enjoy before now of how the election will be a walkover for him.

If I’m not wrong, I think Edo people, seeing what Alex Otti is doing in Abia, have chosen to go with competence. And talking about competence, Asue’s ambition is not helped by Obaseki’s dismal performance in the past few years since he won re-election. So, though Asue may be a wonderful candidate on his own capacity, the fact that Obaseki is the one trying to install is off putting for majority of Edo people who are angered by his poor performance.

And the APC guy?

The picture of his Waec result recently trended and he only had one credit in Mathematics while he failed others which left people wondering how he gained admission into higher institution.

Again, it’s looking like it would be easier for the head of a cow to pass through the eye of a needle than for Edo people to vote APC - there’s rarely any state in Nigeria today that would vote APC.

So, what’s happening in Edo State?

Why is Asue Ighodalo’s campaign losing steam and Olumide Akpata surprisingly making waves?

BusinessHow I Funded Aba Geometric Power From Start To Finish - Alex Otti. by Penguin2(op): 9:56pm On Feb 26, 2024
Some people were here saying Governor Otti deserves no credit for the Aba Geometric Power that was inaugurated today.

Some went as far as claiming that Yaradua started what is clearly a private investment just because Yaradua inaugurated it. Maybe they will say Shettima now owns it because he commissioned it.

Well, this is Alex Otti reeling out how he participated in funding the project from start to finish.
“In 2010, Prof. Barth Nnaji came to see me in First Bank, Lagos, where I served as an ED. He needed the support of the bank to complete the project, the funding of which had been unfortunately stopped two years before, by the bank that originally started the project This bank happened to be Diamond Bank. After securing approval for an $85m facility from First Bank of Nigeria, Geometric Power could not draw on the facility as it had become public knowledge that I was resuming as the Group Managing Director of Diamond Bank, shortly.

As I resumed in Diamond on March 1, 2011, I put together a team that saw to the restructuring of the challenged facility and resumed funding of the project to completion. By the time I left Diamond, the three General Electric turbines and the 27km gas pipeline were in place.A combination of factors including ownership tussle over the Aba ring fence, sale of the oil block where the feed gas was going to come from to a new investor, and additional funding challenges conspired to delay project delivery for close to 10 years.

On assumption of office May 29, 2023, my team and I quickly folded our sleeves and started working with Geometric to resolve the gas supply problem by directly interfacing with top management of NNPC and today we have gas flowing to the turbines"

Alex otti explaining his involvement in the actualization of the Geometric Power dream at the launching today.

Almost every one that supported Tinubu during the election, both online and offline, are apologizing for their actions towards helping Tinubu emerge president. Even the werey actor that went naked to the riverbank has had to apologize.

But because Nairaland is a faceless forum, we seem to have the most inconsiderate set of Tinubu supporters here.

Or what has Nairaland pushed to the front page that was false?

Or to you, the truth about the reality of things in the populace should not be told?

You want Nairaland to remain a biased and tribalistic forum that should help shield a Yoruba president because its owner is Yoruba too, abi? You thought when Seun promised a change in the modus operandi of Nairaland, you thought he was joking?

There’s hunger in the land. And whether Nairaland pushes those news to front page or not, it won’t stop people from knowing the truth about the reality of things in Nigeria right now.

So, grow up and accept the fact that the mannequin you supported to power is failing and might be booted out.

Uzodinma is PDP in spirit. Buhari drafted Uzodinma from PDP to Imo APC in 2019 guber primaries to advance Buhari's dream of Islam in the east.

The APC primary was not won by Uzodinma but Buhari gave gave victory to Uzodinma.
The guber election, Uzodinma was 4th position but Buhari through the Tanko Mohammed Supreme Court imposed Uzodinma as governor of Imo state.

In 4 years of Uzodinma as governor of Imo state, Buhari visited Uzodinma in Imo state more than he visited any other state gov in Nigeria. Uzodinma visited Buhari in Aso Rock more than any other governor in Nigeria. But the more they visited each other, the worse the insecurity they started in one area of Imo state increased.

garfield1:
Good, now you are talking but you forget that the APC candidate I am talking about is Monday okpebholo from same central and the people know him far more than asue...

APC didn't win CRS because of any single reason but because of three reasons.one, prince as an individual is very popular and loved like otti.secondky zoning, thirdly pdp was divided into wike and imoke faction.if it was zoning alone, the central and northern people jettisoned zoning, they were angling for sandy.it became a 50 50 battle until party division and funding helped prince.

Back to Edo,many people do not like APC as a party.do you think Edo north voted tinubu because they like him or APC? Many Edo north people I know hate APC and tinubu but because of the oshiomhole factor and what Edo north benefited from him, they voted tinubu.i told you before presidential that many people in ss will vote tinubu because APC has popular local politicians on the ballot not because they dislike obi.
Esan people don't like APC but they like okpebholo.he has been around since 1999 even before.he served late anenih who they cherished.he has projects in esan land even before contesting,he lives among them, relates with them, struggles with them, speaks esan, understand edo culture and you think they will leave him for a stranger who lived all his life in the west? Think carefully.this is beyond party but individuals.the same reason why people defied obi to vote chinedu ogah, ouk, ifeanyi ubah is why okpebholo is the man.the opposition from oshiomhole will even further win him sympathy
Somebody on ground already told you that what helped Okpebholo in Edo Central was zoning and not because of his popularity.

In the end, when Okpebholo and Asue are place side by side, the generality of Edo people will choose Asue over Okpebholo.

There’s nothing to gain from the fact that Okpebholo speaks Esan fluently. That can’t be the reason they would leave a refined and loaded candidate over an APC candidate.

netmillionaires:
The problem is that promoters of these businesses always lobby the government in the award of these contracts by bribing government officials. When they then sue the government, the government will then bring up their corruption cases to nullify the contract. The case in the study is P&ID.

Both the government and the companies are thieves. Any contract awarded via fraud is considered null and void by law.

If the government pays the company, do you know how much it will affect the naira? You will then come here to complain that the naira is depreciation. Imagine paying P&ID and then paying Sunrise too.

The good thing about this case is that if Nigeria should win, companies will avoid winning contracts through the backdoor as they will not have a case in court should the government renege on its part of the contract.
I just don’t like when the government starts to use her powers over entities under her mercy.

It’s unorthodox.

It’s unethical.

But I understand the people in charge has nothing to do with morality.
