Quakertellicus1:I like the way you put it in perspective. If only we can get the power sector running efficiently, the world awaits what nigeria's manufacturing economy can offer the global market. Unfortunately, the calibre of leaders we have cant see this. They are hoodwinked and hypnotised by petro-dollar. I wish to see a nigerian economy that sells less oil to the international market, more crude for our refineries to work and export to neighbouring economies, lesser dependence on imported rice and frozen chicken. If we can et the power sector running at capacity, the world would take us serious. Nigerians are hardworking and intelligent people, but we have been cursed by greedy, lazy, myopic leaders who cant see beyond crude oil. |
It is not in our politicians dna to resign honourably. They would rather go to hell than resign honourably. #SARAKI_SIT_TIGHT |
She needs to go abroad, right away before our crude doctors do a rubbish job on her. What is it with rivers these days? |
macof:Shut up. PDP is the worst thing that happened to our democracy, APC is second. |
Its obvious the president does not understand economics. The oil marketers know the govt/NNPC could not sustain the sole importation of fuel for long due to orex limitations. The window of opportunity came and they made the best of it. Now, we are reverting back to subsidy days, a situation the oil marketers know how to exploit at the expense of the country. You can be rest assured that the cabals would exploit the system except a fraud proof system is put in place, if such thing exists. Has anyone wondered how fuel scarcity seems to coincide with general nationwide power outage. I dont want to believe this is mere coincidence. Its part of a grand plan to force the govt and the people to yield to its favor. Until patriotic citizens join hands together to unravel the modus operandi of the forces working to deprive nigerians of the little joy we are entitled, these people are bent on enslaving nigeria for life. The president must come out with a long term solution to permanently end fuel importation in this country. Only then will these forces be rendered powerless. Nigeria must be prepared as these individuals will try everything in the crook book to exploit the subsidy system. |
He ran out of lies. He should be back soon with more executive lies. Stay tuned. |

The same way these saboteurs vandalise oil and gas pipeline. Until we start sentencing people to death, we might not achieve anything. Why destroy a million dollar project becos of 50,000 naira. |
The president is on a two day visit to nigeria. At this rate, obama would think PMB is stalking him. |
I am sure he must have made this statement more than ten times since inauguration. How is the president going to achive this when he spends more time globe throtting. All i know is 2019, we shall wait for you. |
MrAdetunjiBayo:The PDP has done too little or the SE in terms of political appointment, considering how much support and dedication comes from that region. The least the east should negotiate is the vice presidency. As for the presidency, PDP lacks the capacity to produce a morally upright and voter endearing candidate. Sheriff/Fayose ticket is a mockery of PDP last election loss. Both candidates are a heavy burden for PDP. |
kettykin:The only reason the SA mercenaries were brought into the fight was because the army had been heavily compromised and the military top brass were feeding fat on the war at the expense of the lower ranking officers who were engaging the heavily armed, financially and tactically co-ordinated (of course helped by informants). Give the NA the best weapons of war and see them fly in colors. The last administrations led by OBJ and GEJ refused to equip our army for reasons known to them. God bless the men of the nigerian army and the entire military. |
shikshark:Its not totally black. I can still see what looks like ghost movement in the image. Are u living in mars? Lol |
Fayose is a public nuisance, a nagging bureaucrat who cant shut his mouth and PMB doesnt have a clue, out of ideas, lost and deaf to this economic mystery. KOWA party for 2019, loading......55% |
DeadWrong:Your moniker says it all. |
Good insight. I always believed the DSS had a good image of how he looks like. Great job if true. |
9jatatafo:You just spoke my thought. The banks charge official rate when you recieve money from abroad and charge you double when you make payments. Some ignorants say the banks source money from abroad and parallel markets, i laugh fulani... Some days ago, there was a headline that nigerians repatriated $21 billions in 2015. This is the same forex that the banks sell to the locals at almost twice official rate. They do not source their forex abroad or black market. The twosources are CBN and foreign repatriations. Take a look at the volume dollars that all western unions transact on a daily basis and you will realise how much profit the banks are making effortlessly. |
Balkan:What has fashola got to do with the NSE. Cant some nigerians be objective in opposition. Fashola laid a solid foundation to the present lagos state electrivity agency. That agency has done excellently well in providing and distributing electricity that has been independently generated by lagos state govt through tax money. Fashola's present inability to deliver is not tied to his being a lawyer rather there are unforseen factors which i believe the minister is working tirelessly to unravel. I believe with time, this hidden bottlenecks and hinderances will be exposed as this administration matures. This problem has been in existence for decades. Blaming fashola will not end this debacle rather we should rally round and give him support, condemn his actions constructively and pray he suceeds because if he does we all enjoy the benefit and if he fails we should share in the blame. |
seunmsg:I can imagine the stern look on the face of those criminals that populate the national assembly. Assembly of looters and criminals. |
As long as we continue to fold our hands and make fuel importation a priority in this country, we will continue to have this recurrent issue. It will not stop until we make local fuel refining a priority. Nigeria as a nation has no capacity to manage emergency situations like this. Ten years from now we will continue to have this problem. |
chinchum:Lets hope nigerians allow the man to work. Yes, his approach might seem favourable to the DISCOs at the onset. As time goes on, fashola has a way of making entities work without allowing room for excuse. |
Is the north-east redeemable? Do the leaders want redemption? I fear for the future of the north. @fulanimafia. Please, be reasonable when you make comments regarding the north. The north has fundamental issues that will take a lot of re-orientation and re-education to solve. Put a billion dollar in that region, without proper orientation, all the efforts will yield no result. |

Do a system restore. |
Unfortunately, a lot o nigerians are part of the problem we found ourselves. As for fashola, i was him, i would sorround myself with foreign experts/ foreign trained engineers who are vast in the area of power generation and distribution. Canada is the destination to look. That country has huge wealth o experience when it comes to electricity. BRF should seek approval to bring in consultants from all over. Assemble a team that would work with him. Most of the team could work on part time basis and offer expert advice after carefully studying our unique environment. Instead of criticizing the minister, we should be giving him supports. If he fails, nigeria fails and if nigeria fails, we all are in for it. |
kenzysmith:Believe me, you will make a great judge. SMH... |
Nice info. All the ISP sees in its routing table is your assigned IP address. The contents of your payload is somwhat hidden to them. End user based vpns are reliable if security parameters can be manually configured. A question. Are vpn traffics visible to web admins? If they are not, how does the router on the website end determine where to direct the traffic if informations like IP header, ports, session tokens are hidden. I have a fair idea of how the network based vpn works, but this one is not clear. |
lodscott:Two things are immediately prone malfunction. Your keyboard and the motherboard. If you are the geeky type, remove the keyboard and the motherboard (@ your own peril), dry it by holding it close to a warm electric bulb. Clean the chasis/carcass with dry cloth. When you are through, fix the components back. To be on the safer side, take it to a technician for proper clean up. |
phantom:Enjoy while it last. |
Reference:You might be right in your deductions. Nigeria is a country where the unimaginable happens. I think the govt should reduce emphasis on gas powered electricity. Our operating environment is too destructive and prone to all sorts of compromise. The niger delta is still very volatile to be over relied on. Its high time we partially shift future power investments away from gas to other means. But then i still insist that laws be passed to severely punish vandals. We just cannot continue like this. |
