I think U should avoid airline that transit in U.S cos U will need U.S transit visa, but someone told me today that if am not gonna leave the airport or stay for more than 4 hours that I dont need the transit visa. Can the experts help shed more light on this.

concerning it ASAP. If its possible, start making contacts for wia ull stay wen u reach Canny, cos I must tell u- its nt going to be easy but with hardwork and determination, ull succeed.
Its easier getting to Canada and sorting out accomodation issues before classes begin. There standard of edu is far ahead of ours,they assume u hv d same standard and fire frm dt standard, so u need to do more work- put in extra hours to meet up.

I had already sent mail to my student adviser but still expecting her response. Like U advised I have been working on the accommodation thingy. If I may ask, what are the requirements for doing registration and how long does it normally take. I believe I will cope when I get there

eo2002 we are in the same situation, I will advise U to write your international student adviser of the situation of things telling him/her that U have done your medicals and presently awaiting the trv. I guess the schools have flexibility for international students. All the best

shavel: bros u are welcome to ca, me don change my naira to cad before I comot naija and I carry like 650 usd join should in case I wan buy things for Amsterdam where I had a stop over but fortunately i didn't spend a dime there, all in all sha I changed 100usd to 95cad for the hotel where I lodge........ thanks very much for your reply and GOD will continue help you in all your endeavors,well am going for an undergraduate program,though am a graduate of OOU but my school has refuse to mobilize us for NYSC since December last year,in-fact i just heard some of my friends have not being able to defend their project.though its my dads friend that's sponsoring me but the sponsorship letter we are wrote is saying his my cousin.what paper will i need to back this cousin paro up and again i graduate from high school 2003,shey VO no go ask wetin i dey do since that time till now,wey i just wan go school now at 27. or am i gonna need papers to show what have being doing or not.the guy helping me said i wouldn't need any papers to show that have worked before as an undergraduate that's it will even disqualify me,that undergraduate should never have a working experience.though i learn how to repair industrial air-condition before heading to school and i still they do the work now.should i include the certificate i collected from there if i want to show what have being doing.abi no need as an undergraduate.

I believe U have a better chance going for post-graduate course, It would have been better if U can just wait for your mobilization then apply cos there has been cases of people who apply while doing their service and using it as a decoy for home tie stating that NYSC is mandatory and necessary for getting employment in Nigeria. Since U have gained admission for an undergraduate program, then U have to come up with a very convincing reasons for the gap in your academics. may be telling them that U were repairing industrial air-condition with your cert to show your industriousness and thereafter U started working in the sponsor's company till date is sellable but it all depends on U. About your sponsor, is also better to use a close relative especially one's parent but if U have to use someone not that close to U, U have to give a genuine reasons what someone not close to U will gain for spending millions on your education. all the best in your decision

If U can spend about 2 hrs to flip through the thread from the beginning, am sure U will get a whole lot of information that will help U because individuals cases are different and the documents that worked for me may not work for U. Just to help U out with your request, your peculiarity will determine the documents you will need to submit. For example, are you going for undergraduate or post graduate? are U sponsoring yourself or is it someone else sponsoring? how close are U to the person sponsoring U? are U working presently or not? are U married or single? there are so many questions U need to answer that will determine the kinna documents U will submit. Irrespective of your situation, these are the documents U will need to submit. Your filled application and family background forms U will get from www.cic.gc.ca, your birth certificate and those of your parents and siblings, police clearance cert, letter of admission from the university, your letter of intent (a summary about yourself, what U have been doing, why U picked the course U want to do and the reasons behind canada being your country of choice). Note that all the documents U will submit must be original
