ChrisKels: Lol tears dun full everywhere
Told you all no reasonable play would wanna associate with this dirty system, but you all kept hold of your empty dreams. Olise has made the right choice, he is still young and too good to mess up his blossoming career with Nigeria, it hurts to say this but that is just the truth. The earlier you all understand that nothing is attractive about Nigeria, the better for you all. We can only get the players deemed surplus to requirements, the players that have no other options than to pitch their tents with us. No quality player confident in his abilities would trade illustrious systems for ours. Would be really fun to face him and his Algerian side in the AFCON. Algeria is not as big as Nigeria in football. We have reached the semi finals of afcon 15 times with 3 afcon wins and we have dominated the Olympics and for an African country we have a better world cup record than Algeria. Algeria is nothing compared to Nigeria in global football. Something must be wrong somewhere for him to choose Algeria. What is Algeria in football compared to Nigeria. I mean before the last afcon they had won it onle once and how many times have they reached afcon semi finals. We did not market ourselves well that's all. I mean we are even better in youth football |

Aribo and onyeka. Supernerd and everybody in the house how will a midfield combination of aribo and onyeka look like. Also, I suspect rohr wants to try Samuel kalu as an attacking midfielder So I foresee aribo, onyeka and Samuel kalu in midfield. I want a thorough analysis with advantages and disadvantages |

Truidstar: He was brilliant 2 weeks ago. Those of us who criticize him do so out of frustration. This was a player that a commentator said was a hybrid of lampard and Viera at U17 level. He should be by now playing for a top 6 club in one of the top leagues based on his initial promise. In another 2 to 3 years he will. Leeds and some other teams have noticed. It's a question of time. |

IDENNAA: Nwakali and Amoo can play that role , especially when we are short of options in that area. And, please don't come with the usual stale argument you guys pull when you have not point to make, because Nwakali and Amoo are currently playing for their respective clubs. If you can invite inactive players and players in lowly rated leagues then you have no reason to ignore Nwakali and Amoo. By the way I have a funny feeling akinkunmi amoo might end up in Barca. Reason is they are in debt and will buy him as he is a cheap option they can easily develop |

12large1: Victor Moses will walk into Nigeria 11 easily. In fact, the only winger in Nigeria history that’s better than him is finidi George and George wasn’t consistent In another 3 years Paul mukairu will be better than him. Mind u amunike was better. In fact our 2019 under 17 set has better wingers. In fact tijsni babangida was better. Our football stars in the 80 and 90s were better than him. No one really cared about playing in Europe as Nigeria s economy was good. In fact we have a teenager in Viborg that is better. Akinkunmi amoo is on the way and so many more. This pride of foreign born players is enough. Abeg go siddon. Victor Moses best winger in our history. Arrant nonsense. I don't blame u Rohr is a blind man that does not know our players |

daveP: Crazy lots. To Onuachu's advantage anyway.
I do hope its not true. This Afcon blockings though. Can't something be done? To be honest with u onuachu does not fit into our style of play. He should naturalize and play for Belgium. He is a square peg in a round hole with us. We don't understand his style of play. Let moffi, desserts, Sadiq Umar etc take over. |

TheGoodJoe: On another note, I believe despite the growth of our players in Europe, I feel we are missing a gold mine because the current people running our football are lazy. They are just in the business to harness what they want.
I will give you an instance.
When Christian Chukwu was appointed coach of the Super Eagles, at a certain period he was on break, he carried out a screening camp for players in feeders of our local clubs.
He went about watching matches of feeder teams and collecting phone numbers of players he saw with potentials.
Then after drafted a list of players from them and invited them to a camp in Ogun State, at Otta to be exact.
One of the players from Sharks FC feeders then made the cut. He said the first thing Coach Christian Chukwu taught them was endurance.
He said he brought axes, machetes, shovels, rakes and other farm tools. Measured a large piece of land in something that looked like a forest and told them to carry out a bush clearing work. (It is football they came to play)
He said they worked all day for days, clearing bush, raking, with not much food to eat. He said after about a week plus, they were done. Well raked pitches, wide and fresh.
He said, they rested, and keep in mind, feeding was not easy. They were supporting themselves and the coach was doing his best too.
Then he gave them a thorough lesson in total-football. He said for days, they did more of theory than field work. They only did intense jogging every morning and then lessons.
By the time they were ready for the field, he says it was nothing like he had ever seen. He said, he learnt things he did not know about football like breaking defences with triangular passes, etc. He said you will pass ball until it became second nature of you. Pass and move.
He said, unfortunately, Christian Chukwu got sacked during their program and he believed if the coach had finished with them, they would have done wonders. The coach wanted to use them for one of the friendly games.
What I am pointing out is that, there is so much work to do in Nigerian football, but this current set have showed extreme laziness. No grassroot work, no grooming of future players. We just wait for players to break through in clubs or some foreign player to do well and pledge allegiance to us.
I hope we pick up from where we are and shoot for our potentials. You see that is the the problem. This kind of thing should be done again. It does not take more than 3 months to do this. I think westerhoof noticed something similar. You see if bukayo saka was born in Nigeria he will be limited by bad coaching. The nff must be very lazy and confused. |

solonnachi: Dear IDENNA! I am a big fan of Kelechi Nwakali. I am thinking he really needs strong political connection to get himself into Rohr's list. There is something he isn't doing right to earn a call up or to Rohr, he has passed his prime. If ssomeone in the NFF would take up his matter, he would be called up.
My thoughts though! He can try kanu nwankwo connection. I mean kanu facilitated his move to arsenal and so he has a good relationship with kanu. Kanu can advocate for him. At least Kingsley micheal and bonke are not at his level. In the meantime he should continue to work on his club form. His performance s since February have been encouraging |

IDENNAA: Its the Nigerian league phenomena. These players arent well groomed due to greed and impatience on the part of the club owners. They pick the players up and without much preparations the players are introduced into the amateurish and mediocre Nigerian league where their talent stagnate. At the end , what you have is a players with potentials that never developed fully. They continue playing in the league until the usual invite to national team where they often show those flashes of brilliance but at this time they are probably in their 30s and in another two to three years the party is over.
This happened to Ahmed Musa (yes Musa plays rubbish 70% of the time), Uzoenyi , Kolanut boy , Jude Aneke , Sunday Mba etc. Iwuala might still go that route. Nigerian league is shhit. Musa was lucky as he was a product of the famous gbs academy that also gave us Samuel kalu, moses Simon etc. Also he was very young when he left the npfl and so he had the time to learn. I strongly believe iwuala will make it as he has already scored a goal and win a trophy in Tunisia. He will be like utaja or amunike who went to Europe after a strong showing in North Africa |

charlesemeka85: Ejike uzoenyi rejoins rangers international Wasted talent. He was ten times better than Ahmed Musa but could not even do well in south Africa. One tournament wonder. He was a play making winger like Ribery but then he did not achieve anything at all. It's sad |

12large1: Let him proov himself at division 1 league before he can displace onuachu Onuachu is sheer rubish. He is too technically limited for modern football. This is why big teams are not too eager to sign him. Football is about your style of play sometime s. It might sound some how to you but Sadiq Umar is ten times better. Onuachu cannot even make a simple pass. Forget about him |

Kingcalls: U are one of the most delusional humans beings I hv come across on the Internet.... what was pele known for ?? What was puskas known for?? What was Alfredo di stefano known for?? What was shearer known for??
According to u, Messi has broken all available stats , of course irrelevant stats that u messi minions move about stat padding.... highest assist, highest striking of cross bar , highest key pass, highest man of match award, highest number of thru pass , highest number of back pass ,highest humber of drbbles, highest number of curlers ....nonsense, nonsense stats... major stats , highest number of goals in international football (Ronaldo) highest number of club goals ( Ronaldo) ....I can go on and on... its certain u messi fans are sooooo jealous that Ronaldo has records u wished Messi had , and its making u guys sooo bitter and thats y u guys hv run to irrelevant stats to keep up with Ronaldos stats...
The only stat that Messi has over Ronaldo presently is the balon dor which of course we know awards are always sentimental and dies not actually justify the best cis if we used that as a perimeter, then its also fair to say modric is better than iniesta and xavi and that cannavaro is better than Maldini or gentile ... or ud say VVD is better than ramos ... I can bet u dont even know the person that had the record of valon dor wins b4 messi and Ronaldo, ud hv to Google it now to check... u dont hv to , its Johan cruyff with 3 balon dors ...but no one talks about him like pele and maradona that dint even win one... thats cos people don't care about awards ... only major titles and goals... The people of Brazil sing praises about pele cos he won them 3 world cups smashing in crazy goals ... the people of Argentina sing praises about maradona because of 86 WC ... the people of Portugal sing praises about Ronaldo cis he gave Portugal its first ever international title ... pele and maradona were striking teams like Italy, Spain, England, Belgium, Germany out of world cup and ur midget has only scored mediocre teams in tournaments..... he has never in in career scored a former world champion in a tournament, be it copa or world cup and u call him greatest... out of his 120 champions league goals , about 100 came in the group stage playing minors... Ronaldo has half of his champions league goals coming in knockouts... messi's half international goals come from friendlies ...Ronaldo only has 15% of his 111 goals coming from friendlies Have you played football before. Creativity is important in football. U can't play with 11 goal scorers. Messi is the most creative player in recorded history. It is very important. Also Messi will also reach 800 goals as it is only a matter of time. Messi is more versatile and difficult to mark |

TheLoneCitizen: Obinna Nwobodo for Goztepe vs Altay
10 tackles
3 interceptions
2 clearances
Nigeria's most consistent midfielder not named Ndidi. I totally agree. He has been in the team of the week on a number of occasions and is one of the best midfielders in the Turkish league. How Rohr ignores him is what I don't understand |

Age doesn't matter anymore if you are exceptional. We need him in the super eagles. Even if he is 50 years old. I don't care as long as he gets the job done. wayodude: I understand what Rodgers is doing regarding Nacho. He is starting games using his preferred formation and picking his first choice lieutenants to fill all positions. Without being handicapped by injury this inevitably results with Nacho on the bench. Nothing personal there.
What Iheanacho needs to realise is that his heroics at the end of last season will be forgotten before mid season. A season is a long long time in football.
If Nacho really believes in his ability he would not accept that the team structure at Leicester is unsuitable for him and request a move in January.
His place on the plane to Qatar is not a given. Iheanacho's place is secured. We should stop listening to Europeans and their narrow minded bias views on our players. If they refuse to beleive that he is a ramdeuter like Muller of Bayern, it is their problem Club form is overrated in using it to judge a player. The older i grew the more i understood this. Players like Iheanacho are dificult to mark than most pure 9's. The problem is that our economy and football went down since the 90's and we send our players to Europe since we are poor and don't have facilities anymore Europeans are just exploiting the poverty and naivete of our players to tell them TOTAL BULLSHIT. LET NIGERIA FACE SPAIN AND IHEANACHO WILL SIMPLY DESTROY THE SPANISH DEFENSE THESE EUROPEANS ARE RASCIST AND BIAS NO ONE CAN CONVINCE ME THEY ARE NOT. IN FACT, THEY THEMSELVES LOVE CONFUSING THEMSELVES |

Subzero047: Barnes has been poor but its much more than Barnes, Leicester don't have enough defenders to field 3 defenders to play a 3-5-2 which Iheanacho can only function in that's why I said Iheanacho has to adapt because a lot of things have to happen right before he gets a start Iheanacho can function in a 442 formation. Also 442 varies. U can play with three midfielder s a winger and a support striker |

Subzero047: Iheanacho started many games because Barnes was out, now Barnes is back Iheanacho doesn't fit into Leicester's favored 4-3-3 formation, he has to adapt to the team rather than the team adapting to him Leicester played 4 4 2 today. In fact since the season started they have rarely played 433. |

Truidstar: Like i said be patient. Westerhof that is praised today won the Afcon on his 3rd attempt. 1990 (runners up). 1992 (3rd Place) 1994 (Winners). Trophies dey road dey come. You may have a point, but we need a master tactician who will take all these talents we have and make something beautiful out of it. Does he need an attacking midfielder? The possibilities are there He can try Tosin Kehinde (the manu loanee now in Denmark) He can even pick up Muazum (our former u17) from cd nacional in the Portugues second division and polish him up. The man has no excuse for failure. He can also monitor nwakali, alhassan yusuf, samson tijani as they are central creative midfielders not to forget Obinna nwobodo in Turkey He can try and get his winning formular from here. We have good wingers and strikers and decent defenders. he needs to take us to the next level I sometimes wonder if Supernerd on this forum does not have more information about our players in Europe and Bascovancelli does not have more information about our players in the Nigerian league. He has resources at his disposal to perform some magic. Does he really monitor our players and have knowledge of how they play? Coaching is like been a father or mentor. A mentor has knowledge of his wards and how to get the best out of them He has been with these players for 5 years and has access to a scouting network and he at least has experience as a coach. After all, he is not a novice to coaching |
