Kudos to falz. He did what should have been done by many a long time ago.# Istandwithfalz on this one.people should stop glorifying fraud. The nature of our social interactions determine our security, stability and development.

nice should be ashamed of himself. That said his (nice) judgement and sanity has always been questionable. This is another example of how not to behave from nice.He should be invited to explain what he knows.Just to teach others with such wire wire ideas that that bullshit will not be tolerated in Nigeria
CrimeRe: Kidnapper Evans Was A GTBank Major Customer - Wife Reveals by phineas: 2:59pm On Jun 21, 2017
The article appears to be aimed at throwing the light of the woman her husband and family to the gtb.

its done in a subtle manner

But she gave herself away at.

1.she doesn't know he is affluent but took 2 million for house rent and furniture

2.she travelled to say with her family and received only 200000

3.she wants us to pity him "he wears only one show" like really

4.This woman should be tried as an accessory
CelebritiesRe: Stella Damasus Shares More Photos To Shame Those Calling Her 'husband Snatcher' by phineas: 8:22am On Jun 10, 2017
Typical Nigeria scenario. So a grown man decides to leave his wife and marry someone else and the association of busy bodies decided to drag the woman.

You all need to realize a man cannot be snatched.A man decides and leaves with another woman, period. This habit of criticising the woman leaves no blame on the man.It will cause other men to do the same in future knowing they will get no stress for their action from society seeing the woman is the one who will be dragged.

that said busy bodies should mind their business. I have also wondered why did Doris not get custody of her child? We all know the Nigeria court over favours the mother for a child less than 7.

3 possible scenarios here

1.She did not go to court.perhaps because she believes an American life is better for her son or the courts were not worth trying(Bad mother alert)in which case she willingly gave up the child.

2.Scenario 2.She went to court and lost. (Another bad mother alert) to loose in a Nigeria court you must be a very very bad mother

3.Scenario 3 .Her child was abducted against her will and back to scenario 1

A woman who voluntarily gives up a child less than 7 or not win custody in the Nigeria court would have damaging stories to hide.

The fact that Stella is not using this as ammunition back in her defence shows she's a better person than the team anti husband snatching fish brains. It means she respects the future of the young boy in question.

The other agberos would do well to learn from that.

That said.Married men and women should stay faithful. But there are conditions that permit divorce.Divorced couples who remarry should be left to live in peace.
PoliticsRe: 2016 Internally Generated Revenue By Geopolitical Region by phineas: 2:43pm On Jun 05, 2017
To understand why Lagos states IGR is disproportional to other states, you all need to go and study the Lagos states tax law.

It has an unfair advantage to other states. In summary it appears any office with Headquaters in lagos, pays the proceeds from sales made in every location in Nigeria to Lagos State.

That means Mr y sells gum with head office in lagos.Every gum he sells in niger, maidugury and ondo has tax remmitted to Lagos state.

That and the personal income tax generated from everyone that works in lagos including artisans.

Add the levies on everything, permits ,tenements, adverstising, including painting your logo on your car comes with a fee in lagos

Lagos state has mastered the art of taxation, and this has little to do with any tribe in the state. It has nothing to do with the ports either whuch is under the federal Goverments jurisdiction.lagos is the ultimate tax collector

And she's still lavin angry angry
this is why lay people like you for example should stay away from medical posts.Theres no where in the post the op said he gave an NSAID like dicoldenac.Any medical student anywhere in the world knows it's a no no for a patient with renal failure or anyone suceptible to renal failure

secondly, management of high grade fever is commenced by nurses before Dr's even see the patient, that's why he won't write the first steps in the write up cos the nurses would have handled that.

Summary, stay away from medical posts unless you have a degree that says medical

TV/MoviesRe: Still On The Wedding Party by phineas: 4:00pm On May 17, 2017
Great Movie, great for the following reasons:

1. I applaud mo Abudu for ''telling the African story''
Mo Abudu of ebony life TV has always said her goal is to tell the African story, and that is what this movie does.It does not appear to be aimed at a global audience save those interested in the African story. And the movie does just that.Sola Sobowale is that Nigerian Yoryba mother or neighbour every one can identify with.RMD the philandering father, and the little tit bits of our current culturl practices we all know to be through.

2. Nigerian weddings are chaotic

This is a truth we all know and it is well potrayed in the wedding party. From the way we dance,to family drama, there is always something happening at the naija wedding and some of us (not all) love it

3.The production quality
The colors, clarity and other technical aspects to this movie take it to a different level. It was nice and easy to watch.60 million naira for hollywood movie is a low budget movie, these guys achieved something great with 60 million naira. They also showed investing in movies is good bussiness

4.Highly entertaining for a true Nigerian

A true nigerian,(not team diaspora) will appreciate this movie. It does not pretend to be anything other than entertainment for Nigerians.Take the pastors prayer. An outsider will say this is ridiculous and plain stupid, but if you are based in nigeria, chances are you would have attended some function were an overzealous aunt or uncle from MFM would have prayed that way,and you couldnt laugh at them in public. The wedding party was the chance for that public laughter at such nonsense.

Lastly What I hope to see in part 2.

I hope part 2 explores the dynamics of inlaw relations in new marraiages, and how interference uncontrolled ruins things.I hope it addresses how inlaws treat the spouse that is their own well and maltreat or insult the other thinking its acceptable.

Its an opportunity to stimulate public conversations on these issues we all know to be true.I hope the wedding party 2 does justice to these social situations,I hope it makes us laugh and makes us cry,i also hope at the end of it,some one will go back home and take a chill pill from meddling in other peoples homes from the public discuss that will ensure on this our example of the ''Nigerian Marriage''

Ministry of women affairs and linda ikeji, over to you, operation find the guy and the mumu in the background allowing himself to be seen in the picture, and the one recording too.

Make them understand this is not the way a civilized society addresses crime especially where women are concerned.

What stops another idiot from doing this some other day to an innocent person.

I hope the right persons do something about this, this kind of crap must stop
HealthRe: 15,000 Doctors Dump Nigeria For Overseas. by phineas: 12:56pm On May 05, 2017
There is no brain drain in Nigeria.Put an advert out today for clinical doctors and get your inbox overwhelmed with applications.

The truth is there is insufficient employment for those on ground. So the offers will always be poor. Also add the depressing work conditions. A lot of naija medics I know have been on antidepressants at one point or the other. Drs will always travel till these issues are addressed.
CelebritiesRe: Nigerians React To Mercy Aigbe Failed Marriage by phineas: 10:51am On Apr 29, 2017
There is no excuse for violence In marriage. If the man or woman is violent.the other spouse should simply get up and walk away.

Its better to live and try again another day than to die.And yes they can try again after counselling and mutual commitment to respect each other henceforth
TravelRe: Tired Looking Traffic Warden Sleeping At A Junction In Abuja (Photos) by phineas: 2:10pm On Apr 24, 2017
I always feel for the traffic wardens in the hot sun in Nigeria. And they do their work with such dedication not asking for bribe.Ideally they should run short shifts to be effective and for the sake of their health,Maximun 3-4 hours daily.

I always plan to drop cold water for them when passing but have never done so.One day sha I will start.

Nairalanders may want to do so too.

How does this still happen? I don't get it.
Don't they have emergency protocols?

If a mother is in acute respiratory distress during delivery, activate ACLS. On the same protocol, intubate and provide mech. Ventilatory assist. Move to the OR for CS. Monitor and wean the mother as necessary. A very simple algorithm.
Nigerian medical personnel are fvcktards.

The Ministry of Health should classify health establishments. People build clinics and call them hospitals luring unsuspecting patients to untimely death. A nice edifice does not make a hospital-- there are minimum requirements.

HealthRe: Baby Born Without Ear In A Nigerian Hospital Due To Use Of Contraceptives by phineas: 3:41pm On Nov 09, 2016
Some women in places in Nigeria are pregnant every year of their reproductive life cycle because their husbands will not let them use contraceptives, communities, civil soceity ,women groups and the medical community are fighting tooth and nail to reduce maternal deaths and unplanned pregnancies by ensuring wider acceptance of contraceptives which has been shown can reduce Maternal deaths Up to 30% in Nigeria if a certain rate of usage is achieved

Then some riff raff nurse writes an unsubstantiated report like this. Not just unsubstantiated, unfounded.

The mods should just take this down, cos by putting up this piece of trash, you spread wrong information that will do greater evil to women and the a great injustice to the Nation.

I'm going to write this advice here it worked for me so I hope it helps someone. Firstly get relevant experience.Even if the salary is crap! Gain useful middle level management experience .the first set of jobs you aapply to. should be about building a profile for yourself.Volunteer posts are helpful so long as its adding skills and competencies to your cv. Next network print a business card relevant to the field you have chosen and , network network network. Attend conferences and the likes, you may get recommendations that way. Lastly there are good jobs in Nigeria advertised on foreign sites that's how come oyibos seem to get them cos naijas don't aapply. And that has been the joker I know. Apply to Naija jobs on foreign sites when u ave gathered experience! Their recruitment process is usually more transparent and the pay is good.Keep applying and don't get tired. You will be invited for interview someday and when u do please don't ask for 50k as salary. And lastly don't stop praying. that's my contribution

PoliticsRe: Buhari Orders Release Of 10,000 Tons Of Grains by phineas: 1:21pm On Apr 25, 2016
Grains are been released for the inhabitants of the North East and the North West where whole villages, their livestock and their farmlands have been ravaged by bandits.

Some people are actually starving in these parts of the country, they have been impoverished and are destitute by these happenings.Normal hardworking people with regular lives like us all lost all in a day. They lost family, friends ,their dignity and home all in one day. These people have no source of income,no farms,no Family, nothing.

These are the people grains are been released for,not the privileged rebellious half brained dimwit behind a computer screen that has eaten 2ce already before noon asking why with an air of arrogance are we birds?

If you cant empathize and support these kind of persons at times like this, but would rather throw vain discouraging words to those supporting them, ask yourself what kind of seed are you sowing into your life....and ignorance is not an excuse

So non of the earlier critics can reason shes using her star power to get her husbands business promoted?

This post will remind people who to contact the next time they need an IT company with reach in 8 countries and a staff of over 100,even if its a lie. That how businesses are promoted. Watch as he gets contacted for more IT deals following this free unpaid publicity.

But no a fellow man is reasoning shes putting her husbands business on social media etc.Typical of small minds talking about people instead of ideas, and this fellow nairalanders is an example of how to reason 101, it is why the rich keep getting richer? e.g Kardashians.

Its all in the way people reason and see things..

lastly I must add small minded Nigerians with the beer parlor mentality of the OP would do well to mind his own business in future.People like Tonto Dikeh and her husband are obviously way out of his league
CultureRe: Ooni Ogunwusi Pays Wuriaola's Dowry; New Wife Steps Out In Royal Wedding Outfit by phineas: 5:19pm On Mar 12, 2016
@seun this culture of naming and shaming even of royalty on this forum is wrong.

You are starting and promoting a culture where authority is demeaned even royalty and this is the legacy you are building consciously or otherwise.

For all those speaking I'll of this woman on this day,I suggest you examine your intentions.if you speak for justice from a heart that seeks good then may the Lord and your conscience be the judge,

but for those who speak in malice, envy and the pull him down syndrome to the very ears of this woman without validating these claims, remember as you throw stones at another on the day of her joy, that on the day and the place of your promotion, may your secret sins not be remembered, may they not be displayed to the whole world and may you definitely not be called to account for your every indiscretion because that is the seed you sow here, and the stones you have thrown at this woman.

@seun I ask you to examine again, is this the legacy you want to leave behind?

So I do not see how ur racist talk link into this... if a white call u junk Cuz u Hv done sumtin contrary to the bible then the white man is right
Just read ur mention, so I understand referring to them as junk is a result of your overzealous disposition.please keep your judgmental oversabi opinion on other peoples life, omissions and cross to yourself.

If your comments cannot help the weak bear their cross with hope and dignity then how charitable are your intentions, words and concerns?, how christian indeed and you dare bring the bible into it?

If Jesus did not condemn the prostitute who are you to quote the bible in this your message of condemnation referring to these women as Junk?

Should you choose to reply me, As you carry that ur oversized stone to throw, remember may your secret sin not be exposed, and then reply if your conscience is clear.

Also remember the summary of the law "Love God, love your neighbour" .Next time you want to quote the bible and refer to someone as junk that is.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: The Agony Of Unemployed Medical Graduates In Nigeria by phineas:
Unserious kid on a pity party tale expecting life to be served by mummy and daddy like the undergrad days.I may be wrong. But this is how it works. You hustle. In every profession the hustle is real, you don't sit at home and expect housejob placements or real jobs for that matter.

Medecine is the job with the most opportunities at home and abroad for Nigerian graduates of medicine and you are there lamenting, the course that no week passes without calls for CV's in the paper.I'll bet you dont buy the papers and you're searching for jobs,Like seriously. If you feel there's no hope in Naija it takes 5 months to pass plab, leave and get a decent job in the UK,other options abound Australia, west indies etc so what are you waiting for? This post is for someone out there willing to help themselves.

Ill call it Phineas verses of wisdom for the brotherhood of the snake and cross.Sounds spooky,I know.

1-Be polite to your senior colleagues in school and stay in touch.
your senior colleagues are the key to opportunities in the medical world, that is students 3 yrs and above in school, they go ahead and by the time you are finshing NYSC they tell you of openings at their facilities, organizations and that of their collegues.

2-House job matter.
If you cant get into the federal system, stalk your state.Go to your state of origin, take a letter from your chairman, LGA Councillor, senator, grandfather, anybody just convince them repeatedly you're from your state, and have your family talk to everyone chances are you;ll get consideration above other applicants,If that fails, lots of private facilities offer housemanship,Baptist Hospitals,Catholic Hospitals,Eko Hospital,Not sure of ST Nicholas, etc.Arm yourself with that information and confirm their application periods,be willing to travel keep applying. You definitely cant be complaining about the 5k registration,if you're serious considering your speed of advancement and escape depends on this rate limiting step.

3-Decide if you're for Naija or "the Abroad",If Naija,For Clinical or Non Clinical Specialty
Decide and start your preparations in NYSC year with money saved from housejob.

4-If you're "the abroad" gang,
From start to finish it takes an average of 6 months to finish plab and start scouting for job placements which should take like 2 months thereabout for locum, after which you can then have good money to sort which of the abroad hustle you want. You can do PLAB from Naija travelling to and fro, during NYSC.
Save your housejob money for this purpose dont dash any relative eager to eat the fruit of their labour, save your parents though and even they should understand theres a bigger purpose to the picture.

5-If you're for Naija core Clinical,"the optimistic I want to serve my country and my people gang "(And you guyz deserve awards and acolades......)
(they eventually get disillusioned and join "the abroad gang" last last,or stay and grumble about everything whilst going on incessant strikes,or start Private practice)

Write primaries ASAP and start the search for residency ASAP,Consider same techniques as it was for Housejob Placements.
Don't waste time in PP except you own it,It is a waste of destinies.

6-If youre for Non core Clinical consider;
-Occupational Health-Company Dr
-Epidemiology-Disease surveillance etc
-Public Health-Program administration, project management, M&E, Research and Learning etc
-Health Financing and Health Insurance
-Humanitarian medecine
-dumping the stethoscope completely and starting farming for instance or politics,or work in the bank

If you've decided for Non Clinical, then Start gaining relevant experience Like ASAP in required field so you rise up the rank.
to find medical opportunities, read the dallies, apply and reapply, stay in touch with senior colleagues, volunteer.

Lastly Don't be afraid to travel all over Nigeria for opportunities,Now is the time to leave home in order to grow.Just be sure its the right kind of experience, that you are gathering, the kind you really want, and when you have sufficient experience don't sit and let life happen to you, apply and keep reapplying.Buy the papers ,use medical job sites for Nigeria and abroad.

Medcine in Nigeria is where some people earn 150k per month till midlife whilst some earn over 2m a month for years even in Naija.Ultimately, the choice is yours and how you choose to plan your life.

It certainly wont happen by whining about how unfair life is to you.

Summary is Medcine is a brotherhood,"don't be a lone wolf"

I hope this helps someone.
