Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Imo Records Highest Rate Of Unemployment As NBS Releases Statistics by PHIPEX(m): 7:13pm On Aug 14, 2020
mumumugu:
Unemployment rate is calculated by number of graduates with respect to unemployed.

Imo has highest graduates in nigeria.zamfara. do they even have a university?
So how will you factor in Anambra figure with this line of logic?
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Imo Records Highest Rate Of Unemployment As NBS Releases Statistics by PHIPEX(m):
In econometrics statistics must conform to apriori expectations (common sense) otherwise we question it again. How can Imo have more unemployment rate than Borno and other Boko Haram ravaged state? These figures does not conform to commonsense these days.

Politics › Re: Aguyi Johnson Ironsi - The Unification Decree: No. 34 Of 1966 by PHIPEX(m): 2:56pm On Aug 08, 2020
One thing with these fabricators is how they stylishly avoid the man who took away their resources but hell bent on a man who spent barely 6months in power. Every govt is weak until they control the resources.
Wike and Amechi as governors talked rough because they control(led) oil money otherwise Rivers state is not different from other states.
Never mind that all policies of that era had been reversed in one way or the other. Never mind that there were several constitutional AMENDMENTs from 1970s till 1999 but no everyone wants who to blame for mismanagement of the country.

Today Southern Nigeria is fighting for fiscal federalism that was taken away by Gowon but no one blames Gowon. Their eyes are set on the usual soft targets. But it's understandable because like we experience under Buhari, they kept mute when the resources of the South were taken away because they had a hope of succeeding Gowon.
Politics › Re: Aguyi Johnson Ironsi - The Unification Decree: No. 34 Of 1966 by PHIPEX(m):
wirinet:
When you unify customs, immigration, police, radio and TV broadcast stations, and then insist on appointing the regional governors, what does that mean? Before the unification decree, each region ran it's own marketing board to market and sell it's own agricultural exports. After the unification of all the civil service and the federal government took over the marketing boards, agriculture died a natural death.
If it all about blaming the man that altered the admin structure of Federal civil service then we can as well blame Lugard, Awolowo, Zik and Bello because they all tampered with the admin structure of the country in one way or the other.

But no, the Federal became too powerful the day they took away "The resources of the states/region" that's the core of the problem and that is what Gowon did. You guys should stop running around peripherals. Custom, Immigration etc had always been the preserve of the central government from day one because no region was controlling customs, police and military. It's now a new era of free information not propaganda.

The spending power of the regions/states is what limited development not the location of the federal civil service

The amount of lies that have been propagated in this country will take another century to clear out.
How does unification of civil service mean removal of regions when there were still regional governors including Ojukwu who could challenge the Federal govt?
Watch how these false propagator are always silent about Gowon that took away their resources because as usual they know who they believe is their easy targets so they pour their frustrations on Aguiyi.

To imagine I believed this all these while makes me feel stupid right now.

Everyone that passed through that dept for the past 15years will know Jude, am surprised he is now the HOD. Quite brilliant but very erratic and temperamental.

@OP, what you just described is same across most public U universities in Nigeria. You can as well find out the stories of MSC Finance and Economics in Unilag. It's sad some Lecturers turn themselves to demigod. I know people that abandoned their programs in both UNN and Unilag.

Sixfeetbelle:
Riddle me this, will you?

If your wife's best friend is a female (a closeted lesbian of some sort) and in the course of a misunderstanding between you two, she runs into her friend's arms and gets seduced to sleep with her, what would be your reaction if and when you eventually find out about this sort of cheating?
The probability of a random married Nigerian woman being a lesbian is less than 1% while the chances of a married Nigerian woman cheating with opposite sex is up to 30%. I would rather worry about the later than the former.
Family › Re: Are Opposite-sex Friendships Okay In Marriage? by PHIPEX(m): 2:01pm On Jul 18, 2020
They can be familiar or close colleagues but not friends. There is a difference between a colleague, acquaintance and a friend. Friendship runs deep and I can't allow that for my wife neither will I keep one.

A friend is someone you can easily run to at your moment of happiness or weakness which are the most vulnerable moments, why should it be an opposite sex whose intentions can change any moment?

AU is always divided with 3 candidates, their support now has little effect on who wins. With ECOWAS endorsement of NOI (16 countries advantage out of about 50 countries), the other countries in AU will still be shared among the 3 candidates.

doitforyou:
I didn’t say you have to spend to have a religious wedding.

If someone believes or their faith dictates their marriage has to be blessed by a religious leader, then let them be, that’s their faith.
Agreed but we are saying in the case of Christianity there is no such command, it's more or less a man made instructions that have been made to look like Biblical instructions. There is nothing like a white wedding in the Scripture.
Christianity Etc › Re: Reno Omokri Writes About Wedding, Christianity And Church by PHIPEX(m):
doitforyou:
Personally, the ‘real’ marriage for me is a civil one not traditional or religious. However, I am not going to begrudge or judge Christians on how they wish to practice their faith.

For those citing Jesus at a wedding, Christianity didn’t exist then, Jesus participated in Jewish customs and attended a wedding ceremony that was probably Jewish.

Each religion have their way of joining two couples and those that practice said faith should be allowed to follow such practices without judgement.

I know for Catholics, a priest blessing your marriage is important, it’s one of the sacraments a Catholic observes while they’re on earth, the last one is death.
Even after Christianity existed none of the Apostles blessed any marriage in the Scripture, was that an oversight?

At best your Church leader can attend the traditional marriage and bless it there, that's exactly what I did. No time to feed unnecessary multitude twice as if am Jesus, looking back am happier for it.

Actually, it is Igbos that are gloating all over social media over the political crisis in Edo. In fact, political leaders from south west have tried their bit to settle the crisis without success.

The people of Edo State are our brothers and sisters. What binds us together is stronger than what politics of division and confusion that you are trying to play can divide. Your attempt to blame the south west for the Edo crisis only goes to show how desperate you guys have gone in your evil plot to malign a people that have done nothing against your people. As usual, you have failed. Darkness shall never prevail over light.
Does cowardice flow in your blood? What concerns Igbos with Edo politics or what do Igbos stand to gain from Obaseki or Oshiomole? Some of you suffer from Igbophobic complex.

You have the mentality of those in govt you criticiz, they will rather waste brains than encourage them. Don't you know you must start somewhere to compete? You are too blind to recognize raw talents, when others do and refine them you will rush and buy. Google quality of China phones of early 2000s then compare them to what they now produce.

So lately there has been a trend of beautiful drone pictures of different University Campuses. I'm a student of the University of Nigeria and I must admit we have the poorest facilities and infrastructure in Nigeria.

The University of Nigeria was founded in 1960. It is located in Enugu State. The main campus is in Nsukka while it has another Campus in Enugu the state capital.

The pictures I'd Sharing are from both Campuses
Your heart must be very dark. I schooled in both UNN and Unilag and can confirm to you once more that you have a very dark heart. Your pictures are like when CNN and co misrepresent Nigeria with a picture of Ajegunle.
