Eziachi: Yes, by school certificate I meant O'Level WASC, WAEC, GCE what are there equivalent the constitution is talking about? Does JAMB has the equivalent sub clause of what qualifications represent an equivalent of school certificate? I have asked few people I know, non has given me a unique answer. That's why I threw it open here. Because I know someone now running for Senate in Imo state that I knew very well that he never went to secondary school. I was wondering the equivalent he was using? Well I used those qualifications because that what JAMB normally use of the brochure. WAEC, City and Guild, and A'Level result. There could be more. |

Eziachi: Because it's not directly centered on Buhari, but I had been wondering what constitute an equivalent of School certificate? What do you think constitute an equivalent of a school certificate? Over to you. If by school certifcate, you mean WASC. I know WAEC, NECO and GCE are one-to-one replacement. The JAMB brochure also take certain City and Guild, and A'Levels result |

Seun: Politicians are known for lying so I don't care about little lies here and there that have no material impact on the way the country is governed. If Buhari doesn't have a certificate, who cares? The man's literacy, knowledge and intelligence have nothing to do with that old piece of paper. You may not, but several people do care. When you come to equity, you must come with clean hands! Buhari claimed he has certificate, for sake of his integrity, he should provide it. Actually, his knowledge and intelligence has a lot to do with what that old piece of paper says. That paper has made or mar several people's live in Nigeria. If Buhari had 'forged' that small piece of paper to gain unfair advantage, it invariably convenes more importance on the paper! If it weren't important, he wouldn't have claimed to have it in the first place. Talking of intelligence, did you see the sort of subject Buhari passed and failed? For crying out loud, what kind of person failed secondary school work work, when he's not even good at maths? What does that say for the intelligence of such individual? If Nigeria's problem cannot be solved by someone who possesses PHD, what can someone with a 'dodgy' WASC do? You can't give what you don't have! |
Politics › Re: For Those Who Are Still Asking For Buhari’s Certificate by PointB: 5:59pm On Jan 23, 2015 |
Seun: The certificates issue is absolutely irrelevant. We should focus on their visions for improving Nigeria and their leadership skills and integrity. I beg to disagree! The certificate issue bothers seriously on the integrity of the candidate! It has to be dealt with in the most transparent way possible. As it stands, there still matters arising. The one concerned should quickly, and transparently deal with any and all inconsistencies observed. Only then can it be put to rest! |

omenka: PointB come and defend your master. I can see serious work in progress. You asked for more pics, here they are! Guy, thanks for the picture. I couldn't comment because I was busy then, and I mostly don't comment on Nairaland at certain time of the day because, and to be honest, I have a life! Now concerning the pictures you uploaded, you have only confirmed what has been severally mentioned - the East -North section of Nigeria Railways rehabilitation is making progress. That's what your pictures are saying. There are quite a lot of work done, yet so much to be done. Correcting the damages and rots inflicted on our infrastructure by a deluge of clueless and inept military junta from Buhari to Abacha is a huge task. It can't be done overnight. This is the more reason why we should cast our votes for GEJ who has shown the maturity to continue projects started by those before him. We know the antecedent of people like Buhari, they don't continue good projects (like Metroline for Lagos), Buhari actually cancelled them even at great financial and opportunity loss. GEJ is the man that have brought our rail system this far, he's the one who will take it further! Again, thanks for the update, we need people like you to continue to put the government on it's toes. |

babadee1: The U.S. War College came out and said he earned a diploma from there. I think they would know better about the issue than you. I never said he was a war strategist I said he studied war strategy. There is no such title as a war strategist. Have you ever taken wood work as a course? Do you know what it entails? Who told you it's lower than carpentry or reserved for people who gave trouble in the academic field? I can see that you don't really know what you are talking about. You seem to think studying wood work as a secondary school course is similar to studying carpentry as a trade but it's not the same thing at all. I'm done debating this Buhari certificate issue. Whether you people like it or not the matter is settled. The rest is left to the people and INEC on voting day. Guy, it's wood work! Again WOOD WORK, NOT Technical Drawing or Add Maths. And yes I did some wood work too in my JHS, as part of my Introductory Technology Classed. It is the dullest in the class who fail wood work, fortunately there weren't any! YET Buhari failed WOOD WORK! Wtf!! |

@op, Not all SW people support Buhari. The minority among them who do do so for ethnicism and bigotry. Those minority know fully well that Buhari is incapable. They only hope that somehow Osibanjo will be in charge.
But we all know that this is not going to work. And we are not even going to allow them the change to experiment with on us with someone who not only failed Maths, but also failed ordinary wood work (in a possibly forged result)! What kind of person fails maths and WOOD WORK? Dredges if you ask me!
God forbid that I vote for someone like Buhari! I no dey that foolish btw. |

babadee1: We haven't seen GEJ's PhD thesis yet. But what if he has a PhD? What is the relationship between PhD in zoology and being president? I think Buhari's US War College diploma in international strategic studies is for more relevant to the post than GEJ's PhD in zoology. Jonathan studied fishes. Buhari studied war strategy and international relations. I think that says a lot. I don't care about who failed maths or who failed woodwork. I have several friends who failed woefully in their WAEC exams and they are great men today, doing far better than even those of us who passed all our subjects with flying colours, so WAEC result does not make a man. War strategy indeed! Someone who went to while away time, as a benefit of Quota system, is forming war strategist! A war strategists who could secure his WASC Certificate nor secure his presidency when his 2-I-C was away. War strategy my foot! In any case, Buhari has got no diploma. What he got was an ordinary certificate of participation. We are not talking about failing WAEC here, WAEC is a difficult exam to clear at least for a lot of people. We are talking about failing WOOD WORK! Who fails wood work? I mean wood work (lower than carpentry) is reserved for those who have difficulty in academic field. Buhari failed WOOD WORK!! Haba! And you are calling him war strategist? A war strategist who couldn't conquer wood work? Tufiakwa!! |

babadee1: Gov. Fashola also had an F9 in maths. It didn't stop him from becoming a good and effective leader. A president is a leader of men not a technician. Buhari doesn't need maths to be a good president. He needs common sense and guts. Heck! A man who goes on losing spree does have guts; but as for common sense, that's very debatable. I haven't seen any sign that Buhari has common sense! |
Politics › Re: My Thoughts On General Buharis Academic Record - By Nonso Ezeani by PointB: 8:37am On Jan 22, 2015 |
ochejoseph: My thoughts on Muhammadu Buhari's academic records are simple and thus:
1. The Presidential Candidate of the APC like his party is remarkably fraudulent and deceitful.
2. The released result bears MOHAMED BUHARI while the ailing general calls himself MUHAMMADU BUHARI.
3. The result bears the acronym of WAEC yet its well known that WAEC wasn't in existence as at 1961. CAMBRIDGE was the standard at that time.
4. The result released by Buhari's WAEC bears KATSINA STATE as state/location of exam yet there wasn't a KATSINA STATE as at 1961 till 1987.
5. MUHAMMADU BUHARI claims the Late Gen. Shehu Musa Yar'Adua was his classmate. This has left me thinking how Shehu who joined the Army in 1959 could be in final CLASS 6 in 1961.
6. Class 6 was introduced into our academic curriculum in 1990. How come MUHAMMADU BUHARI had passed that class before the government introduced it?
I stand to be corrected by any APC bigot on these.
Reject corruption!
Reject Boko Haram!
Reject the APC!
Reject MUHAMMADU and/or MOHAMED BUHARI.
Na wa o. Tinubu must surely have a hand in this certificate! |
