Bloody hypocrites and sycophants who cannot utter a single word to condemn the old CAN cankerworm, Tinubu, who is deeply immersed in the ins and outs of Lagos treasury will however find the dual tongues to spill biles at the PDP's equivalent. One thing is very clear here in anycase, unlike Tinubu allegedly convicted in the US, and serially docked in Nigeria for several offences bordering on forgery and fraud, Anenih has not been docked let alone convicted of any crime. These AC.N goons should spare us the shameless propaganda. Their hypocrisy is very nuaseating. |
Introducing O'Train by AregbeRascal. Now I can travel to Oshogbo, Osun State with my kinsmen and back, on AregbeRascal's account. Wonderful! |
Omo_Tier1: Do you really think if Fashola's government is not working, private investors would sink their billions into Lagos? Can't you see how daft your reasoning is? If other states had government, do you think these investors will not want to diversify their base? At least, the South East boast of huge population, so why aren't these private investors sinking their money in the states in that region? My guy if u weren't reasoning with your anus, you will realize that Lagos is the commercial nerve center of Nigeria with a lot of companies and banks having their Head Office cited there since it days as Capital of Nigeria. It is only bold faced liars and chronic sycophants that will associate investment in Lagos by foreigners and locals to the activities of the state government. Lagos has always attracted huge investment before and will continue in the way despite what the state government does or does not. The issue however is what exactly has Fashola done with the tax receipts and Federal Allocation which runs into over 30 billion dollars monthly. Why are roads in the mainland is terrible shape? Why are there no running water in houses in Lagos state? What major road has been constructed by Fashola? Why is Tinubu involved in all major schemes in Lagos State? How much is Fashola spending on feeding, entertainment? What is he doing with his security votes? How many new hospitals and public schools have been initiated and completed by fashola? Now that Fashola has stopped planting new flowers to chase okada riders and traffic violators, how much is he using to water those flowers annually? My guy, Lagos is too important to be left in the hands of Tinubu and his stooge without question, it's time we demand more accountability from fashola and Lagos. The might big fraud going on their has to be challenged. Now is the time! |
I can't see beyond Farouk, the kleptomaniac son of Lawan! |
bilms: Did you say brought corruption under control? We are rated the second most corrupt in the world. Ha ha. Gej may be given 20%, he has done so badly if we want to speak the truth. Though, you are right about playing the political card. But know matter what,if pdp give gej the ticket, its days are numbered. No matter how much gej spend,he cant emerge based on his poor performance, bad image and anti masses policiesNigeria is rated second most corrupt country in the world by which agency? The last time I checked Tranperancy International have been responsible for this rating, and Nigeria's position increased marginally in the last one. So who is fooling who? As per how the 2015 election will go, let's cross that bridge when we get there. |
take dat: Rather than address the issue of gerontocracy as practised by GEJ and in extension PDP, you've resorted to buck passing and blame game. Guy, your IQ and idiocy has simply gone beyond slowpoke category!I guess you are the eediot and hypocrite here, not to have noted your kinsman submission. Are all of your bloody twats born with the same disease of hypocrisy. I won't be surprised any way. kingoflag: In the end, lets not forget that it was GEJ that was voted and not PDP.... |
So to get rid of Aruma Oteh, you cripple the SEC!! This House of Reps guys are geniuses. Wonderful! ![]() |
kingoflag: In the end, lets not forget that it was GEJ that was voted and not PDP....While the section that sat back during the election, are crying, whining and cussing all over the place like Nigeria belong only to them. Let's not forget this! GEJ has the mandate to lead Nigeria for four good years. You lot's can keep whining all over the place as it's in your gene to bring down government by persistent bad-belly and negative propaganda as incisively noted by Sanusi Lamido. In sum, the Yoruba political leadership, as mentioned by Balarabe Musa, has shown itself over the years to be incapable of rising above narrow tribal interests and reciprocating goodwill from other sections of the country by treating other groups with respect. Practically every crisis in Nigeria since independence has its roots in this attitude. No one is going to plot any coup on your behalf this time around. If you want to see GEJ's back, get your own boys in the Army to do it for you, if only they have the balls. Pathetic hypocritical lots. Pathetic lots. |
Not relevant to the topic, but seeing so many ACN stooge here, I think it just apt to post it here. https://www.nairaland.com/1138739/fasholas-true-success thelastPope: Big question for these ACN trolls on NL |
Lagos State Government remains one of the biggest fraud in Nigeria. As rightly noted by one of the commentators most of the development claimed by LASG are project initiated by the private sectors. It then begs the question, what exactly is Lagos State doing with it's IGR and substantial Federal Allocation? I bet only Fashola and Tinubu can answer this question. The ACN propaganda machine in Nairaland, shamelessly led by the insidious Resident Hypocrite (Gbawe) aim to steer us away from this hard questions by channeling their drivel towards GEJ. If Lagos is deemed one of the most important state in Nigeria, we should spare ample time keeping our eyes on the money trail in this financial secretive enclave of Tinubu. My 2 kobo! |
bilms: I fear that Ribadu may not appeal much in the north. He couldnt win his own state in the 2011 election. Lets assume he his a choice, considering the fact that he has contested for the presidency, will he want to accept the vp? I totally disagree that most people would want gej for second term. In fact in my opinion,if the people have a means of removing him b4 d completion of this first term, most Nigerians would ensure he his removed due to his clear failure.By and large the people will pick their choice from what the political party dishes. The way I see it, GEJ returning depends largely on the agreement he can reach with the North and SE. It's very dicey, but then 2015 is long time in politics. There will be alot alignment and realignment of forces and interest. Despite what the media propaganda is saying, GEJ has done fairly well given the difficult circumstance of his presidency. Whether he deserves to run for a second term or not depends largely on how he plays his card with the political gladiator, against what Nairaland armchair pundits will have us believe. The part about removing him befoere he completes his term is bunkum; it can never happen because of the serious security implication of it. The man who has brought political corruption under control, improves power supply, engage in fierce battle of with with subsidy cabal, brought back the trains, improve Nigeria Corruption Rating, rehabilitate the aviation industry, dealt will corruption in fertilizer distribution, rehabilitate several almajiris by building decent schools for them, among others all with a spate of two years can only be termed failure by mischief makers. But let's not deviate from the thread. My argument remains that it is the political elites that will eventually decide who become the president among GEJ, SE candidate, and North candidate. Other permutation will be the a side show. |
@op, Great thread. Don't mind those trying to ridicule you to submission. I believe Rochas has every quality to be a good president for Nigeria, likewise Mimiko. There are many upside to his Presidency. On one hand, the SE quest for presidency and total reintegration will be fulfilled, and pockets of Biafran activists will have little or nothing to agitate for. Nigeria unity will the first beneficiary of this. Secondly, Rochas is a very competent and totally detribalised Nigerian; he is a positively hyperactive man who is animated by ideas and visions. I also think Rochas educational policy will favour a lot of Nigerians especially in the North, who mostly need it more than most region. He is articulate, intelligent and brings no godfather baggage to the the presidency. The downside to his Presidency, may be that the SE may not benefit beyond the mere knowledge of the fact that their 'son' is there. Those who produce the president hardly benefit from it, as experience has shown. Having said this, I doubt if pairing him with the Iroko Mimiko will appeal to Northern voters. Among others, Iroko has proved capable of standing on his own. Ribadu seems more appropriate as Vice President to Rochas. He has vast experience in government that he could bring on board, and he also appeals to the youth. However, suffice it to say that the 2015 Presidency is a complicated affair because Nigeria is a country of ethnic nationalism. In the end, what is tenable is to determine which ethnic group has the fairest claim to the presidency, and identify the competent and ready candidate in that ethnic group for promotion. I believe that group is the SE Zone. Others think it is the North, while many will prefer GEJ to complete a second term. Balancing the competing need of every group will be paramount in deciding the power equation. Unless we want to pander to naivety and sentiments, this is how 2015 presidency will eventually pan out. |
In 2015, Nigerians will be face with 3 choices viz: continue with GEJ, rotate power to the SE, or the North. The Northern political gladiators, GEJ, and SE/SS will eventually need to sit down and hammer out a deal. SW presidency doesn't even feature in this permutation. But again Fashola flag bearers will hype his performance as if Fashola's mediocre performance in the face of abundance resources someone carries more weight that those who achieve decent feat with less resources. Shout your voice hoarse people, but we have a unique way of doing things in this country, pending restructure. Let's get real there is no major political role for Fashola, not even in 2019! |
alj harem: My brother you do not understand my point. I have always advocated for a SE president. He (PointB) emphasis on igbo presidency is dum.b. I mean why should I vote for an "IGBO PRESIDENT" WHEN I AM A NIGERIAN. Is Rocahas and co not Nigerians ? Why focus on Igbo like it is a must even if the candidate is not competent.Go through my post here and pick out the words "Igbo Presidency" or forever remain a liar and bloody hypocrite! Why does lying come so easily to you? Have you no moral compass? |
kingoflag: GEJ--a confirmed crook, criminal, money launderer and associate to terrorists--- got 98.7% votes in those areas over a man known as incorruptible, so Fashola losing there wouldnt come as a surprise, right?I don't know where you guys got the notion that 'fighting corruption' was the primary issue for all during the last election. Well, the fact remains that it was a tertiary issue. The primary issue in the last election was ridding Nigeia off 'born to rule mentality' and solving the power problem. There was no way in the world that clueless Buhari could have gotten any meaningful votes as he had no appealing message as far as both issues were concern. A fact that was very lost to the fanatics who flew his banner. In 2015, Nigerians will be faced with 3 choices viz: continue with GEJ, rotate power to the SE, or the North. Let's get real there is no major political role for Fashola, not even in 2019! |
outrage: And if he says he'll run, you will vote for him abi? Chai!! Nigerians mumu!!Didn't Fashola say he won't contest a second term in for Lagos State? Only for him to lick and kiss Tinubu's ar/se to get re-elected. |
dederocs: Fashola will be a much better president than this sham we have now.Goodluck is just basking in the euphoria of being a president,he has no vision.Fashola has balls,he has the decisive nature of a true leader, much more intelligent and articulate than Goodluck, and he understands the aspirations of the majority.FASHOLA FOR PRESIDENT.Indeed. Such a huge ball that he cannot confront his godfather Tinubu who steals huge chunk of his Lagos State resources via various schemes, but would rather chase hapless okada riders all over the city. Balls indeed! |
Oya Bloomberg, come and vote for him! All na wash! |
Fashola distributed helmetd in 2011, now he is destroying our bikes.Vote wisely next time! |
2012 RED CARD TO ACN! Nice one. Best to vote out elitist party like ACN in Lagos. The poor must survive too. |
Detained for spreading rumors and lies, yet this journalist returned with more lies and rumors na wa. Anyway, those gentle men who harassed Ozioma Ubabukoh apparently wore kid gloves. I don't think they are of the SSS. SSS don't work for the Enugu State government btw. |
Achebe stands and will forever stand an international literary giant. When he speaks the world listen. 'There was a country' is a book, I will certainly read, and recommend to all those who seek knowledge about the Nigeria civil war and it's immediate aftermath. Thank you Prof for such lasting legacy of siding with the truth! |
nagoma: Niger Delta Militants were after Azazi. Yakowa was just a collateral. Now they (MEND) know that their anti-aircraft guns are working , others who fell out with GEJ have to be careful.Gerrout of here olodo. Niger Delta militants ko, kidnapers ni! |
dagbokoncept: Your assertions are not real. Why? Lagos state inhabits not only the Yorubas.A typical Igbo man or an Edo man that lives I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ lagos has witnessed the good work of Fash I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ transforming Lagos.I didn't dispute you that Fashola is not corrupt like others, but not as corrupt. Its high time Nigerians work with what they see not what they hear.I understand where you are coming from. There is also no state in Nigeria that does not have other ethnic groups in various mix, and those folks will definitely have one or more positive comment for their host governor. So my argument that Fashola does not represent the best that Nigeria has to offer still stands. In anycase, there are various other consideration in choice of president and vice in this country. The best Fashola will get now is Vice, and that in itself is very dicey. Fly another kite! |
bayulll01: the problem with you people is u pple dont use ur God given brain, the vote of SE and SS is not needed, the vote of SW and North is enoughWe heard this same story in 2011. I bet Buhari is still licking his wounds now. ![]() |
According to the NSA in a statement, he said, “We wish to state that the NSA, Mr Sambo Dasuki was not part of that flight that crashed because he has been out of the country on national assignment.”Not that I think he did it, but this is a really silly excuse to give. How does being out of the country excuse on from having a hand in crimes committed in the country? Was Osama Bin Laden in US when they carried out the 9/11 attacks? Very lame excuse by the NSA and Dansuki! |
cornellrealtors: you miss a very important point, the subsidy was always manageable and was never as much a threat till goodluck came on board and opened it up to his cronies to funnel funds into his election.in all sincerity, the okada ban has affected lots of activities.on a normal day,i dont drive to the island.i used to take a bike straight from CMS to ligali ayorinde.but with the ban on okada,i have been forced to spend horrendous hours in traffic uising my car or take a bus to eko hotel and then trek to ligali ayorinde where my clients are located.is it easy?hell no.however,i think its a step in the right direction. okada cannot become the model means of transportation for lagos.its risky and creates an easy way out for lazy youths.how many youths can now pay attention to carpentry, welding etc?once they lay their hands on okada at hire-purchase,that's all.this is a step forward and despite the hardship, things can only get better. What is manageable about subsidy? Is not better to invest the subsidy funds in other critical sector of society. Next year alone, over 880 billion is budgeted for subsidy with arguments here and there by marketers that it will not be enough. And folks like you sees nothing wrong with removal of subsidy because it was not done by Fashola? There is some much duplicity in the country, because Nigerians have elevated ethnicism over sound logic! |
^^^^ All these load on craps built on baseless assumption to to show off your very deep knowledge of Igbos more than Igbo themselves. Guy, keep those bs to yourselves. The rebuttal in summary: 1. SE is landlocked, Igboland is not. 2. We've had no need to worry about Igboland border with other ethnic groups in the SE, and we'll never have in the next 100 years at least. 3. Igboland is very comfortable with PDP governors. Chime, Ngige, Ameachi are popular Igbo governors. Even Ohakim, did much more for Igbos than the best of the PDP governors in the SW. Even the so called politically sophisticated yoruba had Akintola and Obasanjo imposed on them. So much for sophistry. Guy, cry your own cry. We know the kind of integration we need in Igboland. Thank you. |
oyb: Otunba gani adamsSerious wahala. Gani has come a long way from being an OPC gangster, to his shameless surrender to police, and now an Otunba with police escorts. Crime does pay in this country. #justsaying ![]() |
gists: Where did you see me put a list of soley south westerners as the only credible candidates? Its 8:04am you shouldn't be slumbering by this time. And you didn't see Ribadu in my list? Are your partially blind? It's bolded now. Look again! PointB: Why would I vote for Fashola when I could easily vote for Rochas, Chime, Peter Obi, Pat Utomi, Okonjo Iweala, Soludo or even Ameachi paired with Ribadu? In which way is Fashola/Tinubu/Shekarau better than any of these aforementioned folks? Or simply because of the media hypes? Or is there any rule that suggest that only Hausa and Yorubas should be continually voted into power? |
alj harem: You have not answered my questionOh I see. But the FG cannot remove subsidy from fuel using the same pretext of nothing good comes easy and that removing it will encourage the private building of refineries, create more job etc. Guy, your duplicity and bigotry is legendary. This is the fatal result of tribalism. get a cure! alj harem: [b]. I remember one Obalende suya man that told me that the youths are now lazy. This man came from a very very poor family in Kaduna at a very young age, he came to lagos slept under the bridge for days thinking of what to do. He then saw a ram walking, he killed the ram and used it for suya. He did this 3 times then started his business. Today he is big reasonably without riding Okada or stealing. It is all favour from God and not Okada. This is some sick joke I suppose. So you recommend criminality and stealing people's ram as an alternative to Okada? Or you think Lagos is a jungle where rams lives and roams without ownership? How will you feel if a Lagosian travels to Kano or say Sokoto, sees a cow roaming, kill it and sell the meat at pepper soup joints? Repeat same three times and becomes a business man? You call this criminality favour from God? Guy, your brain damage is worse than I thought. I wonder the kind of education some of you receive over there. Your sense of crime and criminality is very warped, no wonder human lives hold no value for the boko boys! |
gists: Just take a look at the list you put up there youself. Obviously to you only south easterners are competent enough abi? Yet you call other people bigotsI think you should take a look at yourself too, obviously to you only South Westerners and Hausa are competent enough abi? Yet you call other people bigots [/quote] |
