Bloody hypocrites and sycophants who cannot utter a single word to condemn the old CAN cankerworm, Tinubu, who is deeply immersed in the ins and outs of Lagos treasury will however find the dual tongues to spill biles at the PDP's equivalent.

One thing is very clear here in anycase, unlike Tinubu allegedly convicted in the US, and serially docked in Nigeria for several offences bordering on forgery and fraud, Anenih has not been docked let alone convicted of any crime. These AC.N goons should spare us the shameless propaganda. Their hypocrisy is very nuaseating.

PoliticsRe: The Truth About Fashola's Success by PointB:
Omo_Tier1: Do you really think if Fashola's government is not working, private investors would sink their billions into Lagos? Can't you see how daft your reasoning is? If other states had government, do you think these investors will not want to diversify their base? At least, the South East boast of huge population, so why aren't these private investors sinking their money in the states in that region?

The fact that private individuals now feel they can invest in a state shows the government is working to a large extent. Any serious government knows that the best they can do is get enabling environment in place for private individuals to invest while effort is spent regulating to ensure the citizens are not fleeced by these investors.

If only same can be said of the entire country! Dude, no insults, get some sense for real.
My guy if u weren't reasoning with your anus, you will realize that Lagos is the commercial nerve center of Nigeria with a lot of companies and banks having their Head Office cited there since it days as Capital of Nigeria. It is only bold faced liars and chronic sycophants that will associate investment in Lagos by foreigners and locals to the activities of the state government. Lagos has always attracted huge investment before and will continue in the way despite what the state government does or does not.

The issue however is what exactly has Fashola done with the tax receipts and Federal Allocation which runs into over 30 billion dollars monthly. Why are roads in the mainland is terrible shape? Why are there no running water in houses in Lagos state? What major road has been constructed by Fashola? Why is Tinubu involved in all major schemes in Lagos State? How much is Fashola spending on feeding, entertainment? What is he doing with his security votes? How many new hospitals and public schools have been initiated and completed by fashola?

Now that Fashola has stopped planting new flowers to chase okada riders and traffic violators, how much is he using to water those flowers annually?

My guy, Lagos is too important to be left in the hands of Tinubu and his stooge without question, it's time we demand more accountability from fashola and Lagos. The might big fraud going on their has to be challenged. Now is the time!

Though, you are right about playing the political card. But know matter what,if pdp give gej the ticket, its days are numbered. As per how the 2015 election will go, let's cross that bridge when we get there.

While the section that sat back during the election, are crying, whining and cussing all over the place like Nigeria belong only to them. Let's not forget this! GEJ has the mandate to lead Nigeria for four good years. You lot's can keep whining all over the place as it's in your gene to bring down government by persistent bad-belly and negative propaganda as incisively noted by Sanusi Lamido.

In sum, the Yoruba political leadership, as mentioned by Balarabe Musa, has shown itself over the years to be incapable of rising above narrow tribal interests and reciprocating goodwill from other sections of the country by treating other groups with respect. Practically every crisis in Nigeria since independence has its roots in this attitude.

The Yoruba elite were the first, in 1962, to attempt a violent overthrow of an elected government in this country. In 1966, it was the violence in the West which provided an avenue for the putsch of 15th January. After Chief Awolowo lost to Shagari in 1983 elections, it was the discontent and bad publicity in the South-West which led to the Buhari intervention.

When Buhari jailed UPN governors like Ige and Onabanjo, the South-Western press castigated that good government and provided the right mood for IBB to take over power. As soon as IBB cleared UPN governors of charges against them in a politically motivated retrial, he became the darling of the South-West. When IBB annulled the primaries in which Adamu Ciroma and Shehu Yar Adua emerged as presidential candidates in the NRC and SDP, he was hailed by the South-West. When the same man annulled the June 12, 1993 elections in which Abiola was the front-runner, the South-West now became defenders of democracy.

When it seemed Sani Abacha was sympathetic to Abiola, the South-West supported his take-over. He was in fact invited by a prominent NADECO member to take over in a published letter shortly before the event. Even though Abiola had won the elections in the North, the North was blamed for its annulment. When Abdulsalam Abubakar started his transition, the Yoruba political leadership through NADECO presented a memorandum on a Government of National Unity that showed complete disrespect for the intelligence and liberties of other Nigerians.
No one is going to plot any coup on your behalf this time around. If you want to see GEJ's back, get your own boys in the Army to do it for you, if only they have the balls. Pathetic hypocritical lots.
Pathetic lots.
PoliticsRe: Anenih Is New NPA Chairman by PointB: 12:54pm On Dec 21, 2012
Not relevant to the topic, but seeing so many ACN stooge here, I think it just apt to post it here.

https://www.nairaland.com/1138739/fasholas-true-success

thelastPope: Big question for these ACN trolls on NL

If Fashola is such a big success in Lagos like their media want us to believe, why did ACN loose several LGAs in the last LGA election to PDP and ACN had to rig it?

SMH at the level of propaganda from these peeps!

If you want to be sincere, then you have to talk in specifics, not this generalised successes you lot talk about.

What has he achieved in:

Education: Lagos schools are worse of today than they were 10 years ago. Dilapidated structures everywhere with not enough teachers and it isnt even free because the students still pay all sorts of fees. In Lagos, it is only the very poor who cant afford private schools that send their children to government schools. In Benin city, which is ironically another ACN state and in which the governor has done less time than Fashola, It is the other way around. People are widthdrawing their children from private schools and sending them to public schools because the public schools are great. Fashola is the only governor in Nigeria and in the history of Nigeria as far as I can recall, that has increased schools fees by over 1000%. He increased LASU school fees from 25k to 250k and as much as 300k for some courses. This is not even imaginable. It is as diabolical it gets. Then when the students protests, he sends in bruttal policemen to chase them away. Many have had to drop out from school because they cant afford it. This is the same guy who said the FG was too high handed by sending the army to Ojota

Health Care: This one is just humorous. Fashola and ACN in 13 years havent built one new hospital for Lagos. Still the old LUTH and general hospital. No change. Instead, they are praising him for renovating small 30 by 30 maternity centers. centers that where even renovated by MTN foundation, with their sign post conspiciously displayed. His only achievement here was to sack 788 doctors in one day. That is one of the worst administrative blunders in the history of Nigeria. I laughed when I read a previous post that he is a great administrator! Great administrator? Someone whose solution to doctors strike was to sack the whole doctors in the state? Ha! Is that how he will rule Nigeria? The presidential guard will pursue him back to Lagos! lol! If he cannot manage such crisis in one state of Nigeria, how will he manage Nigeria? Those who call GEJ clueless forget that he has continued to manage crisis after crisis and continues to pull everyone along. Love him or hate him, he has continued to hold everything together from North to south.

Roads: Its about six years now and Fashola cannot point to one major new road built in Lagos. I am still wondering where Lagos allocations go. It is funny that every time some credit is giving to Lagos in terms of facility and infrastructure, some of these ACN peeps quickly shout "Fashola is working" as if the facilities are built by Fashola. Lagos has become a business city powered fully by the private sector. All the infrastructures we enjoy in Lagos are built by the private sector, not Fashola. From the cinemas to shoprite to the various entertainment centers et al. I dont understand how that is Fashola working. Propaganda of course. After adding extra lanes to Lekki, he introduced toll gates to a residential area. I mean, that is a first again in Nigeria. Toll gates in a residential area? Some people go from Lekki area to main VI like 5 times daily and back and they have to pay toll fees each time they pass the road. And when the residents protest peacefully, the response, just like the LASU one, is a bruttal assault by his thugs in alliance with the police. He attacked hapless old men on a peaceful protest, yet some pumpkin heads here want us to believe he is a sane and civil guy. If it was GEJ that bruttalized people like that, these same political and tribal jingoist would not let us hear word on NL! Ridiculous to say the least!

Water ways: This is just a funny one. Promises and more promises right from Tinubu's time. Nothing has even left the ground. Total failure here. Nothing to talk about

Transportation: This to me should have been his biggest achievement, but the ban of Okada has rubbushed it. How? The ban of okada has shown that the BRT project is a failure. Totally inadequate. Doesnt even come close to solving half the problem of Lagos transportation. Now, people are trekking like real villagers that Fashola has turned them into and they are swearing for him while they trek. Lagos is now total chaos. The traffic has escalated like times 4. What Okada ban was supposed to achieve, has turn into a total disaster. 3 to 5 hours now to go from Ikeja to VI or back, gauranteed! The traffic is alraming now! No transport on the road. People wait at the busstop for 2,3 hours trying to get a bus or keke. That is the legacy of a failed administrator who knows nothing of how to manage a metropolitan city. He thinks you can just wave a magic wand and scare everyone into submission. And some propaganda crew here wants us to believe he can manage Nigeria. He tops it up with the enactment of the Lagos traffic law 2012. A draconian law that looks like it was written by arrogant baby lawyers. I have read and re-read the law and it makes for a fine comic relief. many of the laws there will not stand a challenge in court. They are as draconian as it gets and many parts of that law contradicts the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria. The late Gani would have made a piece meal of it!

Public Amenities: Another big zero! Lagos, after 13 years of ACN rule, still doesnt have public water. I mean in 2012, you cannot open your tap and get clean portable water. You cannot even get unclean water, with all the water in Lagos. A city where you dig only 5 feet in some places and hit water, you cannot get pipe borne water in your house. Yet the state government collects all sorts of taxes like there is no tomorrow. I dont know how a government that cannot even provide something as basic as public water is considered fit to rule Nigeria. Only sychophants would endorse that!

After 13 years of ACN rule, Lagos still reminds me of the movie, slum dog millionaire! That movie should have been shot in Lagos. Would really fit! Fahosla is like a doctor who rubs skin lotion on a sore and closes his eye lid tightly, believing that when he opens his eyes, the sore would have been completely gone. That is what he did in places like Oshodi. He brought in bulldozers and task force agberos and chased everyone away and celebrated the clearing and cleaning of Oshodi. But he forgot that the dirt in Oshodi were created by a depraved and down trodden masses. So by clearing the dirt and not alleviating the plight of the depraved masses, he only rubbed body lotion over a bad sore. Now Oshodi is fast becoming like it was before. And several more Oshodis are springing up. Like Egbeda, Ketu, Ikorodu, Ojodu Berger and many more are becoming the new Oshodi because the problem was never solved. It just got replicated! Please if you want to talk about Fashola's achievements, talk specifics and we would take you serious. as for specifics, they are not impressive. They are all wash! Propaganda at its best. The strategy is simple. Do a project with 1 million naira and promote it with 100 million naira. Fashola will be a very good music artist manager in Nigeria!
PoliticsRe: The Truth About Fashola's Success by PointB:
Lagos State Government remains one of the biggest fraud in Nigeria. As rightly noted by one of the commentators most of the development claimed by LASG are project initiated by the private sectors. It then begs the question, what exactly is Lagos State doing with it's IGR and substantial Federal Allocation? I bet only Fashola and Tinubu can answer this question.

The ACN propaganda machine in Nairaland, shamelessly led by the insidious Resident Hypocrite (Gbawe) aim to steer us away from this hard questions by channeling their drivel towards GEJ. If Lagos is deemed one of the most important state in Nigeria, we should spare ample time keeping our eyes on the money trail in this financial secretive enclave of Tinubu.

bilms: I fear that Ribadu may not appeal much in the north. He couldnt win his own state in the 2011 election. Lets assume he his a choice, considering the fact that he has contested for the presidency, will he want to accept the vp? I totally disagree that most people would want gej for second term. In fact in my opinion,if the people have a means of removing him b4 d completion of this first term, most Nigerians would ensure he his removed due to his clear failure.
By and large the people will pick their choice from what the political party dishes. The way I see it, GEJ returning depends largely on the agreement he can reach with the North and SE. It's very dicey, but then 2015 is long time in politics. There will be alot alignment and realignment of forces and interest. Despite what the media propaganda is saying, GEJ has done fairly well given the difficult circumstance of his presidency. Whether he deserves to run for a second term or not depends largely on how he plays his card with the political gladiator, against what Nairaland armchair pundits will have us believe. The part about removing him befoere he completes his term is bunkum; it can never happen because of the serious security implication of it. The man who has brought political corruption under control, improves power supply, engage in fierce battle of with with subsidy cabal, brought back the trains, improve Nigeria Corruption Rating, rehabilitate the aviation industry, dealt will corruption in fertilizer distribution, rehabilitate several almajiris by building decent schools for them, among others all with a spate of two years can only be termed failure by mischief makers.

But let's not deviate from the thread. My argument remains that it is the political elites that will eventually decide who become the president among GEJ, SE candidate, and North candidate. Other permutation will be the a side show.
PoliticsRe: Mimiko And Okorocha Are The Best Opposition Canbdidates For 2015 Presidency by PointB:
@op,
Great thread. Don't mind those trying to ridicule you to submission.

I believe Rochas has every quality to be a good president for Nigeria, likewise Mimiko.

There are many upside to his Presidency. On one hand, the SE quest for presidency and total reintegration will be fulfilled, and pockets of Biafran activists will have little or nothing to agitate for. Nigeria unity will the first beneficiary of this.

Secondly, Rochas is a very competent and totally detribalised Nigerian; he is a positively hyperactive man who is animated by ideas and visions. I also think Rochas educational policy will favour a lot of Nigerians especially in the North, who mostly need it more than most region. He is articulate, intelligent and brings no godfather baggage to the the presidency.

The downside to his Presidency, may be that the SE may not benefit beyond the mere knowledge of the fact that their 'son' is there. Those who produce the president hardly benefit from it, as experience has shown.

Having said this, I doubt if pairing him with the Iroko Mimiko will appeal to Northern voters. Among others, Iroko has proved capable of standing on his own.

Ribadu seems more appropriate as Vice President to Rochas. He has vast experience in government that he could bring on board, and he also appeals to the youth.

However, suffice it to say that the 2015 Presidency is a complicated affair because Nigeria is a country of ethnic nationalism. In the end, what is tenable is to determine which ethnic group has the fairest claim to the presidency, and identify the competent and ready candidate in that ethnic group for promotion. I believe that group is the SE Zone. Others think it is the North, while many will prefer GEJ to complete a second term. Balancing the competing need of every group will be paramount in deciding the power equation.

Unless we want to pander to naivety and sentiments, this is how 2015 presidency will eventually pan out.

I don't know where you guys got the notion that 'fighting corruption' was the primary issue for all during the last election. Well, the fact remains that it was a tertiary issue. The primary issue in the last election was ridding Nigeia off 'born to rule mentality' and solving the power problem. cornellrealtors: you miss a very important point, the subsidy was always manageable and was never as much a threat till goodluck came on board and opened it up to his cronies to funnel funds into his election.in all sincerity, the okada ban has affected lots of activities.on a normal day,i dont drive to the island.i used to take a bike straight from CMS to ligali ayorinde.but with the ban on okada,i have been forced to spend horrendous hours in traffic uising my car or take a bus to eko hotel and then trek to ligali ayorinde where my clients are located.is it easy?hell no.however,i think its a step in the right direction. okada cannot become the model means of transportation for lagos.its risky and creates an easy way out for lazy youths.how many youths can now pay attention to carpentry, welding etc?once they lay their hands on okada at hire-purchase,that's all.this is a step forward and despite the hardship, things can only get better.

fashola is a leader thats ready to take the bull by the horn and thats the kinda leader nigeria needs
What is manageable about subsidy? Is not better to invest the subsidy funds in other critical sector of society. Next year alone, over 880 billion is budgeted for subsidy with arguments here and there by marketers that it will not be enough. And folks like you sees nothing wrong with removal of subsidy because it was not done by Fashola? There is some much duplicity in the country, because Nigerians have elevated ethnicism over sound logic!

1. SE is landlocked, Igboland is not.

2. We've had no need to worry about Igboland border with other ethnic groups in the SE, and we'll never have in the next 100 years at least.

3. Igboland is very comfortable with PDP governors. Chime, Ngige, Ameachi are popular Igbo governors. Even Ohakim, did much more for Igbos than the best of the PDP governors in the SW. Make no mistake, Fashola is only known in the SW, and if he is challenged by any of the folks listed above, he will never get 5% of the SS/SE votes. As for Rochas endorsing Fashola, well if he is ready for political death, let him go ahead.

alj harem: You have not answered my question

If means of transport : Nothing good comes easy and to do the right thing at times, we step on toes. Okada is illegal and has killed too many people. There is no point in risking your life just to get somewhere. it is senseless.

If means of income : This Okadas have made our youths less creative in terms of oppotunities and innovative business they can do. You do not have to be educated to start a business. I remember one Obalende suya man that told me that the youths are now lazy. This man came from a very very poor family in Kaduna at a very young age, he came to lagos slept under the bridge for days thinking of what to do. He then saw a ram walking, he killed the ram and used it for suya. He did this 3 times then started his business. Today he is big reasonably without riding Okada or stealing. It is all favour from God and not Okada.
Oh I see. But the FG cannot remove subsidy from fuel using the same pretext of nothing good comes easy and that removing it will encourage the private building of refineries, create more job etc. Guy, your duplicity and bigotry is legendary. This is the fatal result of tribalism. get a cure!

This is some sick joke I suppose. So you recommend criminality and stealing people's ram as an alternative to Okada? Or you think Lagos is a jungle where rams lives and roams without ownership? How will you feel if a Lagosian travels to Kano or say Sokoto, sees a cow roaming, kill it and sell the meat at pepper soup joints? Repeat same three times and becomes a business man?

You call this criminality favour from God? Guy, your brain damage is worse than I thought. I wonder the kind of education some of you receive over there. Your sense of crime and criminality is very warped, no wonder human lives hold no value for the boko boys!
