Christianity EtcRe: Who Is The Head Of A Christian Home? Christ Or The Husband? by postmann: 9:34pm On Aug 15, 2021
@jesusjnr2020

It takes common sense to realize that the Husband is the head of the home, Christ, the head of the man and GOD the head of Christ as clearly stated in scriptures (1cor 11:3)

You stir confusion and rebellion with your wandering spirit. You acted as if you're asking a question but ended up answering it. People like you are dangerous in GOD's kingdom with padded, extra-scriptural interpretation.

Funny you still strut about this blogosphere with your make-believes.

Fresh girls in their early 20s are less assured of settling down these days let alone the old hens who are 2nd hand products of failed marriages.

As for the characters in your examples, we know the difference between social cohabitation and marriage. Your idols belong to the former.

Very little -- if anything separates you from the OP. You both are ideological siblings, at least in the aspect of understanding the concept of marriage. Fortunately there's still time to learn.

A good Christian woman knows her husband or prospective husband is her physical and spiritual head. And it is expected that she leaves her church and join his after marriage except there's an agreement not to.

A family that attends different churches is walking a type rope already. There's nothing stopping the man from going to his wife's church if he wants to, but as the head, such decision is his and his alone to make. Unfortunately it is not so with the woman. Her vows bwfore her people (in her traditional marriage) and GOD (in her church marriagine) is to be obedient and submissive to her husband. Any ideology outside this is from that old spirit of rebellion and pride.

ImaIma1:
This is just a one sided writeup with myopic points.

What happened to having a househelp? Most homes have helps, so the woman doesn't have to do everything on their own.

Many divorced women also get remarried if they want to. It's just that some actually decide to focus solely on their kids. They are more concerned about the kids than the fathers are. The father can even abandon the children with her and remarry but the woman will go out of her way to see that they are fine.

Divorce sometimes is necessary and may be the best thing for a woman for her peace of mind and freedom from a bad man. That, enough is bliss. What if she did everything to save the marriage but the man wasn't helping matters and decided to leave? She should force herself on him, so that she doesn't suffer all these your listed points?

My close family relative is separated from her ex. She works and she has a nanny, plus family is always available to help. Divorced mums figure things out to make sure things still flow.

Last week, my husband had to go stand in as a father for father's day in school for his friend's daughter. She's a working divorced mum without much family (only child and only her mum alive) but friends and loved ones rally around her to help out.

Maybe before you write something like this, you should actually study divorced mums around and not just what you feel happens, just to make the man seem.like the "victor" in divorce, thereby making the woman seem like the disadvantaged one.
Your attempt at rebuttal at the OP was poor and driven by emotions.

Women stand to lose more in divorce - FACT! Everyone knows that while men age like wine, women age like milk. And except the woman is rich no one hardly wants a committed relationship with a woman divorced with child. Her market value isn't the same. Some may stick around for the money but it doesn't really end well.

As for your point with house helps, friends and family helping. That's a truck load of crap. No one does it like it's his/her own. It's never the same. Your husband standing in for father's day for a colleague --that's unfortunate as it's shameful. You only unwittingly drove the OP's point home.

Women can't raise adolescents and can't really train boys on their own.

While in some cases separation might be the only remedy, divorce should not be encouraged and it's consequences downplayed. A good portion of outlaws in our society today come from broken homes or raised by single parent.

Thanks people for your contributions.

My children are girls, very brilliant girls. Apart from their mother being a control freak, I think she is okay to take care of them. The major concern for me is that she seems to be naïve about people around the children. She tried to leave them at a time with one of her siblings to look after them, of course I didn't agree because its a guy, a guy that we drink together sometimes. She allows them go to neighbors house, for extended hours, to play which I have had to intervene in the past. And so many instances that we had serious disagreements. I cannot just imagine my girls left around potential rapists. My wife believes my mind is too dirty. I agree. But I have seen things that makes me suspicious of people and I don't want to take chances, especially with girls. If they were boys, I wouldn't even bother. I grew up on the streets and I believe boys must see ugly side of life.

I am thinking taking them with me and hiring a mature maid will work.
All your fears about your girls' welfare and safety are very genuine. Your wife, like many women out there are unforgivably naive. And it's worse when they don't listen to not just a superior argument but one from their lord -- husband.

You must see to it that your girls' welfare and safety are at the top of your divorce negotiations.

Oh, quit the grammar bla bla...makes you sound weak hommie...

My POV points out a clue about the well water and the diarrhea susceptibility of one of the kids. Since they both stay in the same compound and suffer similar fate, while none of the other kids did, my POV is maybe the drugs didn't do that but cholera. More investigation is needed of course..

Its really not my fault that you got emotional bro.
I'm as savage as they come. Keep the tough talk underneath your underdeveloped sense of judgment.

Your POV is only a reflection of your cognitive limitations. The first pertinent question on this issue is "who gave them teachers authority to administer drugs on minors?" Everything else is secondary.

I believe your dysfunctional sense of judgment comes from your exposure to perennial societal abuse.

Out of 235 pupils, only two(from the same compound) were affected. One of the two had a history of diarrhea. The well in the compound should be checked.

eleojo23:
The deaths were very likely not caused by the deworming drug.

Recording 2 casualties out of over 200 pupils who received the drug is not convincing enough to say the drug was the cause. Deworming medications are well-tolerated by both children and adults.

Moreso, the two children who died lived in the same compound. The plausible explanation is that they were both exposed to an infectious pathogen days or hours before that day whose onset of signs/symptoms coincided with the day they took the deworming drug.

The only way to know what happened for sure is through an autopsy but as usual, people are already getting sentimental about the matter.

Let's pray it's not cholera as suspected because if it is, occupants of that vicinity are in danger.
No need for long sentences. What gave the government or school any right to administer any drug on children without parental consent?

Actually i saw beyond the ethnic ring to his post. What I picked thereof is the penchant of Nigerian security agencies to always go beyond the limit of the constitutional act that created them.

E.g NSCDC delving from guarding and protecting government installations and cult activities to doing general police work. Army and DSS being deployed randomly into civilian skirmishes whereas whereas it is the police duty.

Unfortunately, these unlawful acts are supported and perpetrated by those in government.

How Nigeria got riddled with animals in uniform is still a great mystery.

Taking them to the barracks for discipline is barely enough. There should be an investigation into what kind of training in terms of relating with civilians these soldiers are given. A mental and psychological examination by an independent agency should be standard in determining who is given a uniform and gun in this country.

The population of armed mad men in uniforms in this country is alarming.

These bunch of low IQ-ed idiots seem to go about with the belief that the average civilian is sports for them.
