I was there yesterday 17th of Sept, 2019 to see things for myself.
It was not a scam as speculated tho.
However, CV submission was ongoing while some set of earlier Applicants have been scheduled for Training/Interview. The HR Person asked Applicants to do a brief Documentation before they left.
The Broadcast says the process starts Saturday 14th of Sept, 2019 and will end today 18th of Sept, 2019. People are still submitting CV!
If you as Person won't go, please don't discourage others.

Sometimes if you cannot buy lies, you may not be able to buy the truth.

I have to comment on this so that people will not waste their precious time and little money. oPay recruitment is a scam. in less than 3 months, oFood has laid off over 65% of its staff. No employment or offer letter. They converted most of their staff, no matter what you applied for to marketer. When I went to their office to confirm on the 9th October, no HR. They just ask you to submit your CV that they will get back to you on WhatsApp. Very unstructured. People that supposed to earn 100k+ were giving 24k, 9k, 17, 30k. I have a friend that worked with them. he got 27k instead of 100k. They have app that they will give you to login when you get to your post. If you login 2 minutes late, you are absent for the day. I know someone that was posted from FESTAC to V.I. He must report their around 7:30. They sack at will. some people have not been paid for over a month.

70 percent was the cut for some states .I'm talking about the cbt. Some states Cut off was even as low as 50.

randomization and timing software was used for interview invite. No disparity in score.

Last week Thursday after the Presidential broadcast, the Minister of Petroleum ordered the NNPC Recruitment list as it was to be published. It was to be published in PUNCH newspaper.
There was pandemonium in Abuja as all the politicians and new management who have been lobbying for name replacements since Kyari took over would've been left without their candidates being put in the list.Even the Minister of Labour went to protest that the composition of the list didn't show Federal character as it was lopsided towards the West and not evenly spread.He was then educated that while Federal character may have a role in the invitation for interviews, only competence and merit are considered after passing the interview. He soft-pedalled but the other powerful politicians made so much noise that the Minister suspended the order to publish on Thursday,3rd October 2019 and gave them 5 working days to sort whatever irregularities they claimed was in the list before he went to South Africa for his 3-day visit. He is back now and will expect their report before it gets published. If he stays true to his first order,then this list will likely be out in the national dailies before emails and texts are even sent out.
I know kids of nowadays will complain about reading long write-ups. It is the bane of our country right now.

I dont doubt my source because whenever he doesnt know what is going on he tells me straight away, or sometimes he doent even pick my calls, but yesterday we had a lengthy discussion, man was even gisting me about salary and allowance, that the basic salary for gt is 130k, plus some little allowances your take home is around 180k, I was even surprised there is allowance for lunch break which is around 1500 per day which is included in your take home, and that immediately after induction you will be given around 5million to go and sort yourself, also your salary increases by 5-10 percent per anum depending on your performance during d course of d year, that is why u can find ppl employed thesame year but with different salaries.
I just pray the top management sort their issues and approve this list as fast as possible coz according to him only their approval is remaining but NOBODY knows when they will meet.

Vacancies in Nigeria agencies are slot-based. They will announce scam positions in the media. But sometimes over 70% of the positions have been given out already to people who couldn't even pass the interview.

You will never find such in Abia. Go and check, tricycles in south east, after the registration of plate numbers, still register with government where they are given numbers.

But in the north we have lawlessness,if the FRSC guys are not careful. They will be punished for this act.

Over 40% (I am being conservative here) of bikes that I saw in my one year in Plateau were not registered. Through that period, I did not see A SINGLE Road safety officer.

you need to go and read that tweet again. He was not talking about NNPC. He was talking about some other recruitment. Someone asked him what happened in that recruitment. So he was telling him. Not NNPC. Just felt like putting that straight.

It all started on Sunday night when I received a call from my parent in Ibadan that I lost one of my sister in which I have to go to ibadan very early on Monday morning, in which I inform my HR officer and a mate in my office via WhatsApp message. In the afternoon, my staff started calling me that my MD said I have left with 1.5 million Naira. I was very surprised that he could have said that, when I came back yesterday morning, the HR said I should handover to another person from another branch. Is it a sin to leave work without informing your MD after informing HR? Is it a sin for me to have gone for emergency? One man business is always subjected to unfairness conclusion.

Nawao. This your story looks like shit. I can tell you that you are not saying the whole truth. E be like say na interview you go for. And you are asking if it's right to take proper permission before leaving work? who supposed to handle your duties?

Though personally I think the MD is silly by playing God. Just like most Nigerians abuse power. A warning or query letter would have sufficed (supposed that was your first time). Besides, I suppose there is more to this you are not saying. How will he say you stole 1.5m and did not arrest you ? Just replacement?

Don't waste your time with them. A friend told me about them. Take you to an off station, use you like a labourer, pay you peanut, lay you off after their so called training period is completed and recruit new people. The cycle continues.

Because they have B.Sc in cover letter writing abi? You will go for an interview and someone will be giving you calculus to solve.



See the problem is not application letter. Neither is it CV or oratory. It's simply unemployment.

I had an Indian boss who could not comprehend little things. All the staff under him were degree holders. Two had master's degree. Yet we all collected less than 80k. While he collects over 3k doss and ALL (emphasis on all, including his underwears, children school fees, wife and children travel allowance etc.) expenses paid.

Somebody will be shouting CV and cover letter. Nigeria for sale please.

I am not a lawyer. Notwithstanding, I am not illiterate in law matters. I mean if I could use my money to buy Criminal Code and EFFC Act, it shows that I have some level of interest in it. I have read the Nigeria constitution like twice.


That been said, I feel it is wrong for police to display suspects to the public when they have not been convicted. Some even go as far as giving them placards to write their names and all.


I will like people with knowledge in this field to comment on this.

The ignorance in Nigeria is alarming, imagine EFCC has convinced SUSPECTS to hold placards showing OFFENCES that has not been proven in a COURT of LAW.

The problem is not even the EFCC doing this, the problem is the people they victimize not knowing it is wrong and the public (who would be future victims) ignoring it. In a sane country if you present someone as guilty before a court case your case will be trashed out because of bias.

If you have read of the "trail of the century" between the state and OJ Simpsons, the state lost the case just because the police men who arrived the crime scene were racists and there were taped conversation of them using racial slurs how much more if you represented a suspect as guilty when the person has not been declared guilty in a competent court of law? You should have no case because the defence will argue that you have prejudice towards the suspect and probably manipulated the evidence.

We need to know our rights in this country, these people will never be seen as innocent in public ever again even if they are proven innocent in a court of law, this is a social media trial filled with prejudice just to show that "EFCC is working".

My brother, I am just fed up about the issue. I am not a lawyer but I know it's wrong. You have destroyed someone's reputation before a court could pronunce him guilty. So if he is not guilty in the end, what happens to his battered image that has gone viral? I know if most of those Yahoo boys could afford a good lawyer, hardly will EFCC secure any conviction in court. They are so crude!
