@presva, don't take antimalarials(lonart, artesunate etc) with vit C. Vit C reduces their potency. Wait till when you finish your malaria drugs before continuing with it. If it's fansidar don't take folic acid that day. You can take ur other drugs along side the antimalarial.

My doc never said anything about stopping my vits. If it makes you feel better you can take them at different hours. I didnt take vit c while preggy c

@PresVA, how many weeks are you? I haven't treated malaria, my friend and colleague said am supposed to have been given anti malaria drugs. Am so tired of the clinic am using oo, my second tt injection I had to remind them now am 25 weeks this week and haven't treated malaria.

I'm still in my first trimester, mine was given cos i was diagnosed of malaria. .

However, nurse kaffy said preg women are given routine antimalaria drugs to prevent malaria. .think you should ask your doctor.

Do I still go on with my routine drugs (iron, folic acid, vit c, calcium, bcomplex) even while on malaria drugs? Heard vit c and iron render malaria drugs ineffective. . Do I take them at separate hours?

Was tested of malaria, 1+... So the doctor gave me proguanil tablets. .but I'm so scared of taking it..had a miscarriage before. .
My friend advised I wait till I pass my first trimester before taking the drugs..

Any implications of not taking it?
I'm thinking of yielding to my friend's advice. .
