I’m sorry but Mama G is almost in a different league to the rest. There’s O.G. and there’s M.G (Mama G). Eucharia Anuobi, the Owohs (Chinwe and Nkem/Osuofia), Pete Edochie (I’m not a huge fan but there’s no denying the obvious talent), Oge Okoye, Kenneth , Bob Manuel Udokwu and so many others are very good but not quite in the same league as someone who can pull off a different shade of wicked mother in-law without even reading the script like that. And she’s multi/bi-lingual.

The idea that financially well-to-do men who don’t even need handouts are the sole creators of life as-opposed to the woman who carries the baby for 3/4 of a year and breastfeeds it (and often raises it single-handedly) is laughable.

I’d advise any INFJs on here to avoid Sarah Kuhn’s (infjwoman is her Insta. handle) stuff. I didn’t mind her too much in t’beginning but as time went on and I deeped her I realised that she’s painfully basic, repetitive and probably a mistyped IxFP. Even if she is a true INFJ the lady has absolutely zero idea what she’s talking about and just isn’t a good source of information. Real INFJs and even poor ISFPs deserve so much better than her nonsense and she should stick to Big Macs, 16personalities.com on her own contained terms and 1999 Toyotas. Don’t even get me started on that ridiculous four-question dichotomy quiz of hers that betrays her blatant lack of understanding about what MBTI’s really about.

I can’t be bothered re-iterating with fresh words so I’m just copying and pasting:

“I’m absolutely not a Muslim (by the way). I just had to accept that annoying note to be able to post here and Nairaland went ahead to stupidly plaster it over my wall for now reason. Sort it out, Seun. Absolute joke.”

How can I get rid of the annoying tag that’s not glued to my profile?

TV/MoviesRe: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Probz(m):
Not so much a movie as a soap (tonight’s episode of Corrie). Stephen’s fast-becoming a new well-intended villain who’s suited to a horror film full of ironic pathos and the acting’s weak but it’s so bad it’s entertaining sort of thing. I knew I should’ve digged out t’popcorn earlier.

I can’t do Nollywood movies anymore. If I want to watch them on a Saturday it has to be older stuff (the last good one I remember was Nkoli nwa Nsukka). Most of the stuff from the past couple of years has been total crap. I don’t recognise it anymore, I don’t recognise Yul Edochie (who used to be very good) anymore and Mama G (who never disappoints) is nowhere to be found in these latest movies. Pity as Superstory, Nollywood, Mount Zion and the early days of Tinsel used to be so good.
EventsRe: How To Create The Perfect Flower Bouquet For Any Occasion? by Probz(m): 6:40pm On Jan 19, 2023
All I know is roses and carnations can do one no wrong. Even during times when you ain’t feeling loved in this life and the hard alleged truth about certain situations hits you like a ton of bricks, thinking about (or better yet actually having) carnations and/or roses (oha soup, ofe akwu, coconut and jollof rice are food-derivatives of rose, somehow) takes the edge off. It really does. Both of them are very much for the love-win. It can be sprinkled with Maggi, Knorr, ogiri-isi, fine akwete or Leytonstone grit but the love of carnations in any form is a complimentary love that can’t be beaten by any more than a mother or wife’s love. People who are born and/or get married in January, February, May, July, November and December (no to hardcore astrology, still) know that on a(n) subliminal, unconscious level.

Women, for all the hard work and effort you go through and to bringing new lives into the world and taking care of them, you deserve something you can’t put a price on. Allow the misogynistic, entitled idiots on here. There’s nothing in life as fulfilling as being a mother and I say that as a dude. Truly grateful people can’t thank you enough.

Jokes apart, this is Nigeria, where people tend to celebrate the pregnancy (woman) thereby neglecting the (gbola) that did all the hard work..

Moral lesson::: People only appreciate results and say to hell with hardworks angry. Which is very bad, very very bad..
Is it the man who goes through all the hard work of carrying a little life for nine months and the main responsibility of bringing that kid up for at least 18 years? What’s a man to even do except direct a little bit of sperm the woman’s way and give the baby half its DNA?

You’re an idiot.

I guess different people have different limits, wants and expectations. Stuff like that doesn’t really bother me but deliberate and continual gaslighting is nowt less than abuse and if I had it my way people like that would be rotting in prison so I’d definitely think carefully before forgiving someone who does that to you. Some people go all funny when you mention the word gaslighting (it sounds more ominous than it is) and in fairness it is something that accidentally happens with good intentions all the time so it’s not something to automatically hold against someone at all but there’s a difference between that and persistent, deliberate gaslighting (which is when gaslighting really becomes gaslighting). Someone who loves you ain’t going to be doing that to you unless they’re just trying to hide something and deflect (which is another discussion but it’s not something I can’t understand). What you’re not going to do out on these streets is let no ugly bucket-hat narcissist invalidate your confidence in your own capabilities.

It’s not just that but that was my last experience and it messed me up so I won’t ever tolerate that again. You can be upset and still not insult people, especially someone who we claim to love.
Ah. I see. Sha, it’s good you’ve got clearer boundaries now and limits regarding what you will and won’t tolerate. To me insults either way are just part of the territory (especially with Nigerians being as hot-tongued as they can be) but half of the time when someone’s speaking out of pure heat-of-the-moment vex it doesn’t mean anything. You don’t have to forgive someone like that if you get into a relationship with them and they start flying their mouth off at you for no reason (of course not) but generally it’s a good idea not to take it too personally to avoid hurt that may not even be necessary if you consider what they’re saying contextually and remember that they’re just angry. Hm?
RomanceRe: What Bad Behaviour Can You Never Forgive? by Probz(m): 10:10pm On Jan 17, 2023
Another thing that I won’t tolerate or forgive is privacy-breeches. Many people (some more than others) get a bit vibrant-tongued when they’re with their mandem/gyal-dem and disclose things about other people that perhaps they shouldn’t (especially where booze is involved) and I do kinda get that but if I disclose something to you in confidence (which isn’t very likely with me being as reserved as I am) and you intentionally blab, there’d better be a good reason for it. And if there isn’t, you’d better hope I don’t find out because once I decide to close the door on someone I don’t absolutely love (partners and casual friends aren’t the same as true blood in the form of your family and your truest friends, who you’re going to be more inclined to forgive if need-be virtually no matter what), hell’s going to freeze over and ice-block Buhari (I mean, please God, still) before I open it back up. It’s only family and your truest blood outside that (lifelong friends who might as well be family) who are allowed to test the limits of your forgiveness and none of my blud are toxic like that so with me it is very much about other people.

RomanceRe: What Bad Behaviour Can You Never Forgive? by Probz(m): 9:59pm On Jan 17, 2023
Conscious and persistent gaslighting: yeah, no. Dr Ramani has a whole series and a half (and workshop) on forgiveness and why narcissists/malignant folk don’t always deserve it and I absolutely agree with her. Not everyone who gaslights a lot is a narcissist but all narcissists do it and having that kind of personality and getting into an interpersonal space with a better person is unforgivable. So yeah.

But that ain’t limited to romantic relationships and to tell you the truth I’ve seen and experienced more of it outside that framework. The principe’s the same. To say I don’t think highly of them at all would be an understatement.

You may not had heard but people know their history. State formation is with its dynamism.

And I expect people to do more research here on any information being posted on what I posted on Ohaafia people. It is important to note here that the whole of Ohafia didn't come from Idanre axis.

And importantly, I didn't posit here that Ohafia are Yorubas but that historically, some groups are posited to had migrated from Yoruba axis

My question is,how intelligible is Ohaafia dialect is to central Ibo language ?

How many other Ibo/Igbo speaking groups hears Ohaafia(spelling my be wrong )dialects ?
What Yoruba axis would Ohafia people have migrated from if that’s the case?

I feel like there’s a certain synergy between certain parts of Imo State and Ekiti/Oyo Yorubas in some very distant way (purple introverted intuition tells me so) but Ohafia people are more Cross River than anything else non-Igbo. I mean, look at you. You can’t even spell Ohafia properly.

No. Ethiopia and even Israel are more plausible than Ile-Ife to tell you the truth. That’s how off that theory is.
