Looks like Mr Striklymi does not understand what is at stake here. If Iran gets it together like you wish, then we would embrace Islam but we know that is never going to happen. You seem to be in the dark on a lot of things.
Islam › Re: Does The Quran Permit Suicide? by proo212(m): 11:08am On Jan 03, 2013
@Mr Striklymi, with all due respect, I wish you were consistent, one the one hand you understand the perspectives/motives of the suicide bombers and are of the opinion that they think they are doing right by Allah (you do not condone it)

And on the other hand you said in the first thread and I quote below, you want to understand their motive

But after some sober reflections I felt the need to understand why he died. I am aware of the "Cause" of Bokoharam and some of their grouse against anyone who is not Muslim but still I need to understand their drive. For someone to agree to blow himself up suggests some driven force. I don't think it's just the part of the virgins cause if the quran frowns against suicide then their hope of getting those virgins is dashed.
So what is this driven force? Lets find out what this force is, why some individuals think this is best way.
Islam › Re: Does The Quran Permit Suicide? by proo212(m): 8:02pm On Jan 02, 2013
I see you guys have quietly side-stepped the issue of the suicide bomber wanting to kill in the cause of Allah. He did not commit suicide for no reason! What was his motive for committing suicide? To slay and be slain in the cause of Allah.Surah 9:111 You can change the focus of the discussion all you want but everyone knows why the guy blew himself up, he wanted to kill as many kuffars as possible and cast and terror in the hearts of the people in the north. Surah 3:151 Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority: their abode will be the Fire: And evil is the home of the wrong-doers!

Can you move freely in Borno, Yobe and some other northern states especially on a Sunday? Was there speculation the violence was likely during Christmas? Are people as free as they were before without thinking of their safety? Be honest with yourselves.

Answer the simple question truthfully whether or not its islamic, what was motive of his suicide? Striklymi, for a Christian you seem to readily accept the explanations given by the guys on this thread...
Islam › Re: Does The Quran Permit Suicide? by proo212(m): 3:38am On Jan 02, 2013
Please tell me that those suicide bombers died in vain. I thought they died in the cause of Allah. Is dying in Allah's cause not martyrdomhuh Of course suicide is forbidden in Islam but if you note, the suicide bomber did not go out just to kill himself. His intention was to kill others (infidels or kuffar) in Allah's cause and this is permitted if he dies in the process because his/her reward is paradise, virgins and intercession on behalf of family members. This is why these guys are celebrated.

For this reason he will get his reward according to the Quran and hadiths e.g

Qur'an:3:156 "If you are slain, or die, in Allah's Cause [as a martyr], pardon from Allah and mercy are far better than all they could amass
Bukhari: V5B59N377 "A man came to the Prophet and said, 'Can you tell me where I will go if I get martyred?' The Prophet replied, 'To Paradise.' The man fought till he was martyred."
Muslim:51B20N4706 "Allah's Messenger said: 'Whom do you consider to be a martyr among you?' The Companions said: 'One who is slain in Allah's Cause is a martyr.' He said: 'Then (if this is the definition of a martyr) the martyrs of my Umma [Islamic community] will be small in number.' They asked: 'Prophet, who are martyrs then?' He said: 'One who is slain in Allah's Cause is a martyr; one who dies in the Way of Allah is a martyr; one who dies of plague is a martyr; one who dies of cholera is a martyr.'"
Hazrat Abu Darda (رضي الله عنه) narrates that, "I heard the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) saying that the Shaheed will intercede on behalf of 70 members of his family." (Abu Dawood; At Targheeb wat-Tarheeb)

In Pakistan, Egypt, Northern Nigeria that Christians are being slaughtered for their belief in Christ, its their fault abi? Maybe some uneducated Nigerians can believe you but not on this board....Go and see what the Copts are going through, the Assyrian Christians, Syriac Christians, Christians in Iran. Pastor Yousef in Iran has been rearrested after spending 3 years in prison for a being a Christian. In Malaysia that is supposedly peaceful, Christians are told not to demand equality.....So many stories all over the world but the Christians brought it upon themselves right?

Islamophobophobia indeed.

Truthman2012, do not mind sweetnecta and tbaba. These guys are slimy. Is IQRA recite or read? They have decided in this instance that IQRA means to recite. Their Quran doesn't seem to agree with them though

One of the ways they add Mohammed to the bible is to quote Isaiah 29:12 as the one referred to in the scripture of one who cannot "READ" to support Surah 96:1 which says 96:1 Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created-
Iqra/ bi-ismi rabbika allathee khalaqa

I have given a few translations and all of the translation said READ and the reply was I/we do not know how to READ. If you notice neither the bible or the Quran says to recite but this Isaiah 29:12 verse has been used severally on this board to support Deut 18:18

when Jibril [as] said at the cave to Muhammad [sa] "IQRA" Muhammad [sa] cant pick up a book and read, cant proclaim any message or anything, but can only recite by saying what he heard. He heard Iqra and after hearing it repeated it. then he told people. He didnt add to or remove from what he heard.
According to your argument, I think what Mohammed should have said was "Recite" 3 times when Jibril to him to recite...since that is what he heard Jubril say, Jubril did not tell him anything else (If you believe the word Iqra'a means to recite).

If the all knowing, all powerful God sent Angel Gabriel to Mohammed to ask him to read or recite, and Mohammed the unlettered prophet recited or read straightaway, that would have been a miracle but even after three tries of forcing Mohammed to read or recite, Mohammed still couldn't read (one of his qualities as we all know is that he was illiterate which Muslim claim makes him unique) and he didn't lie by reciting what he didn't know. He said 3 times, that he couldn't read but for the sake of argument "recite" because there was nothing to recite.

I'm struggling to see the logic....
Islam › Re: Muhammad Only Waged War In Self-defense by proo212(m): 5:00pm On Dec 19, 2012
@Sweetnecta, please do not change the subject as you often do by writing epistles which have no bearing on the discussion. You said you trust your prophet's words. If you do, do you believe what he said about men and women's ejaculation resulting in the offspring's resemblance? If someone said that to you, you would say this is ridiculous. I'm sure Muslim scientists would laugh at such a statement because the logic is flawed but I trust once they hear Mohammed said it then would believe it like yourself.

On another note, Abdullah bin Salam became a muslim. Good luck to him but what about his people, what did they say when they heard it because you conveniently decided not to read to the end of the hadith The Jews said, "May Allah save him from it." Then 'Abdullah bin Salam came out in front of them saying, "I testify that None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah." Thereupon they said, "He is the evilest among us, and the son of the evilest amongst us," and continued talking badly of him. Even the Jews still did not come to Islam afterwards. That tells you something.

Sweetnecta: @dexmond: in Islam of Muhammad [sa], the only human being you can not disagree with is Muhammad [sa].
this means the only human that can not be wrong is Muhammad [sa] when it comes to spirituality and morality.

so the 'experts' you have quoted, are just experts. people can reject or ignore or disagree with their statements, except when it grounded in what Muhammad [sa] brought, the Quran and or his pattern of behavior based on it and or his saying [what he says agrees with the Quran].
@Sweetnecta, I hereby present this saying by Allah's apostle. What do you think of it?
Volume 4, Book 55, Number 546:
Narrated Anas:

When 'Abdullah bin Salam heard the arrival of the Prophet at Medina, he came to him and said, "I am going to ask you about three things which nobody knows except a prophet: What is the first portent of the Hour? What will be the first meal taken by the people of Paradise? Why does a child resemble its father, and why does it resemble its maternal uncle" Allah's Apostle said, "Gabriel has just now told me of their answers." 'Abdullah said, "He (i.e. Gabriel), from amongst all the angels, is the enemy of the Jews." Allah's Apostle said, "The first portent of the Hour will be a fire that will bring together the people from the east to the west; the first meal of the people of Paradise will be Extra-lobe (caudate lobe) of fish-liver. As for the resemblance of the child to its parents: If a man has sexual intercourse with his wife and gets discharge first, the child will resemble the father, and if the woman gets discharge first, the child will resemble her." On that 'Abdullah bin Salam said, "I testify that you are the Apostle of Allah." 'Abdullah bin Salam further said, "O Allah's Apostle! The Jews are liars, and if they should come to know about my conversion to Islam before you ask them (about me), they would tell a lie about me." The Jews came to Allah's Apostle and 'Abdullah went inside the house. Allah's Apostle asked (the Jews), "What kind of man is 'Abdullah bin Salam amongst you?" They replied, "He is the most learned person amongst us, and the best amongst us, and the son of the best amongst us." Allah's Apostle said, "What do you think if he embraces Islam (will you do as he does)?" The Jews said, "May Allah save him from it." Then 'Abdullah bin Salam came out in front of them saying, "I testify that None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah." Thereupon they said, "He is the evilest among us, and the son of the evilest amongst us," and continued talking badly of him.

History tells us the Quran we have now is not complete. Some versions are 114-116 chapters. Which is the correct version. Also, the copies that were burnt by the Caliph Abu Baker, why were the copies from Hafsah burnt and new copies rewritten? Which ones did the goats eat? Which ones died with those ho memorized them?

Let me say that I do not believe the life of a Palestinian is worth less than that of an Israeli and all form of war should stop ASAP but when lies are being printed to elicit sympathy then that is also victim-hood under false pretences

@Lagosshia, I trust you know that this piece of news is false!!! Israel did not fire rockets when the Egyptian PM was there. Other news sources can accurately verify this

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/11/17/world/middleeast/in-gaza-tragic-result-for-misplaced-hopes-of-cease-fire.html?_r=1&

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/israel/9685564/Israeli-forces-prepare-for-war-as-troops-mass-on-Gaza-border.html

But there were signs on Saturday that not all the Palestinian casualties have been the result of Israeli air strikes. The highly publicised death of four-year-old Mohammed Sadallah appeared to have been the result of a misfiring home-made rocket, not a bomb dropped by Israel.
The child’s death on Friday figured prominently in media coverage after Hisham Kandil, the Egyptian prime minister, was filmed lifting his dead body out of an ambulance. "The boy, the martyr, whose blood is still on my hands and clothes, is something that we cannot keep silent about," he said, before promising to defend the Palestinian people.
But experts from the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights who visited the site on Saturday said they believed that the explosion was caused by a Palestinian rocket.
In the chaos, it is highly unlikely that Mr Kandil or anyone else at the hospital suspected that the death was the result of anything but an air strike.
Sharif Khalah, 26, was standing at the end of the alleyway by the road when the explosion happened.
"Suddenly there was this whistling noise, a whoosh and then bang," he told The Sunday Telegraph."I couldn’t see anything for about 10 minutes because there was so much dust and smoke. Then I saw the little boy."

Less than 24 hours after her youngest son’s death, Esmat Sadallah, Mohammed’s mother, was too bereft to apportion blame. It was possible he was struck by a rocket fired by Palestinian fighters, she said. It was also possible he was killed in an Israeli strike, she added, although nobody had heard the sound of a drone or plane in the sky just before the explosion

There is no contradiction here since you have decided not to address the fact that Apostle Paul when he recounted his encounter in Acts 22 and 26 stated the same things.

In contrast to your holy book that was directly revealed to Mohammed by Allah himself. If Allah cannot get the numbers of days that he supposedly created the earth right how am I supposed to believe him or the numerous contradictions/mistake that the supposedly all knowing Allah made.

Hmmmm

Even from Acts 9, 22 and 26, the message is clear, Saul was going to Damascus to persecute the followers of Christ and he had an encounter with Christ. There is no ambiguity about that.

Islam › Re: Ex-muslim Tell Why They Left Islam by proo212(m): 3:34pm On Oct 30, 2012
Ghazzal,

There is no contradiction on Paul's narration of his encounter with Christ (I know you guys don't like him). If you know the exegesis of the Bible, you will know that, Luke wrote the book of Acts. Look at the narrations of Acts 9 as well as Acts 22 and Acts 26, you will see that the narration from chapter 9 is from Luke's account and narration from Chapter 22 and 26 are Paul's account. Notice that Chapter 22 and 26 are the same whilst chapter 9 differs somewhat with what the people who were with Paul heard.

There is no contradiction here.

If we are looking for contradictions, i'm sure we know the Quran is full of them..

The question I have to ask is, if Mohammed is the perfect moral example and needs to be emulated according to Allah how come he wasnt certain of his own salvation?
Chapter 33:21, 68:4. Moral standard

Chapter 46:8-9 Unsure of salvation
Narrated 'Um al-'Ala:
An Ansari woman who gave the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet that the Ansar drew lots concerning the dwelling of the Emigrants. 'Uthman bin Maz'un was decided to dwell with them (i.e. Um al-'Ala's family), 'Uthman fell ill and I nursed him till he died, and we covered him with his clothes. Then the Prophet came to us and I (addressing the dead body) said, "O Abu As-Sa'ib, may Allah's Mercy be on you! I bear witness that Allah has honored you." On that the Prophet said, "How do you know that Allah has honored him?" I replied, "I do not know. May my father and my mother be sacrificed for you, O Allah's Apostle! But who else is worthy of it (if not 'Uthman)?" He said, "As to him, by Allah, death has overtaken him, and I hope the best for him. By Allah, though I am the Apostle of Allah, yet I do not know what Allah will do to me," By Allah, I will never assert the piety of anyone after him. That made me sad, and when I slept I saw in a dream a flowing stream for 'Uthman bin Maz'un. I went to Allah's Apostle and told him of it. He remarked, "That symbolizes his (good) deeds." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 266)

Narrated Abu Huraira:
When Allah revealed the Verse: "Warn your nearest kinsmen," Allah's Apostle got up and said, "O people of Quraish (or said similar words)! Buy (i.e. save) yourselves (from the Hellfire) as I cannot save you from Allah's Punishment; O Bani Abd Manaf! I cannot save you from Allah's Punishment, O Safiya, the Aunt of Allah's Apostle! I cannot save you from Allah's Punishment; O Fatima bint Muhammad! Ask me anything from my wealth, but I cannot save you from Allah's Punishment." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 51, Number 16)
The hadiths are both Sahih (so authentic) and for my brother Ghazzal, the hadith correspond to the Quran...Please I need your input.

As someone who ran Xedos 9 in the UK up until last month, I'll bite. What model year is the Mazda? Is it a normal aspirated car or Miller Cycle Engine (Supercharged)? You need to be able to answer these questions before I can advice you.

If looked after like they are supposed to, the normal 2.5v6 can be looked after by Naija mechanics, the supercharged one, I will tell you run a mile. I had the supercharged one and they are very quick. A bit heavy on the juice but not many mechanics even in the UK couldn't work on it.. Putting it back together again after even a cam belt or plug change can be a nightmare for the UK, how much more Naija. (Only the Millennia S}

Another thing, parts are getting relatively scarce for these cars as well..

My 2 cents.

Any more questions, feel free to ask. I will post pictures of the one I sold last month. I sold a perfectly good car to someone who only wanted the Supercharger because he couldn't buy one new.
