IamAtikulate:This post has capacity of waking a sleeping dog o. Take note please. |
Ahmed0336:APC has lots of people who could afford to dole out N100 million naira for forms even when they knew they weren't ready for any primaries, and they have far more across the country, hence these people if they mean well should lend to the country. |
WhizdomXX:Pictures from last week's rally in Nasarawa state of Obi movement even without Obi's presence or that of Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed is child's play to what you'll see in jos Plateau State. |
FreeStuffsNG:The governor was careful with words he selected to use, except you mean one didn't understand what was said and written, Aketi didn't state the identity of the terrorists, likewise the Defence Hqtrs, he only presented two cases of insecurity in Ondo state, one being 'unknown gunmen' now 'known gunmen' attack of a church in Owo and the second being kidnapping, where he disclosed the identity of the kidnappers, part of their modus operandi and further continued to appeal to elders of ethnic group of the identified kidnappers. He didn't mix terrorist attack with kidnapping please. You shouldn't try to muddle up things if you do not have a bias you are trying to project. |
Moh247:Where were you when the same people in the north traded GEJ (and the PDP which they controlled) for a brother? You know deep within you that your analysis is to sooth you. Mirror image-> at the PDP convention, Tambuwal left Wike who had all along been his supportive friend to openly support Atiku his brother. Now in Adamawa, people (both APC and PDP) are campaigning with Atiku's posters. Lol |
PVision2020:Is Nigeria not like a place led by gangsters? Societies led by gangsters have characteristics that are obviously playing out- intimidation, threats, violence, criminality, blood, and power. The pulpit and every other place of gathering should speak against this ill, if it will boomerang let it,what matters is let those who lead know how the people they are leading feel, and let those who are led speak how they feel they are being led. APC at the National level and PMB have failed woefully, even the president stated he is overwhelmed and can't wait to handover next year! So what partisanship and boomerang are you talking about here, is it because the pastor openly supports a Christian (Obi) who the APC said it couldn't get one of them with enough political value and certificate to be a second position (despite having a Muslim president that is currently serving 8 year term and is billed to handover soon) or it's the way and manner Nigeria is handled that you refer to? From 1999, religion and ethnicity wasn't so much a factor in our polity until after 2015 elections when federal appointments started and ever since, insensitive actions by the same people kept heating up the polity. If you care to be reminded, there are those who brought the religion card to the table and the same shouldn't be uncomfortable with the results of their actions. It is funny but not funny because this action of playing politics with religion and being insensitive has its costs, there are families that are mixed (Christians and Muslims) and have never viewed themselves with the prism of their differences, especially in the Southwest, now whether you accept or not some have silently or openly started tilting according to their religious biases and sooner than later it'll manifest and cause further disunity. We can't build with bad materials and expect the house not to collapse. |
Zonefree:North Central is obedient. Kwara and Kogi are the only deviations while bandits have dealt the third expected deviation (Niger) a dirty blow. You can call your contacts in Plateau, benue and nasarawa states to confirm, FCT too. |
OP it's quite a while your presence wasn't felt on this platform, much unlike you considering the season (pre-elections). Back to the topic. Peter Obi this Peter Obi that... It is true that the only way to deal with your fears is to confront them, this explains the confrontation towards one man who is subject of discuss by aspirants/candidates and their interest groups. If all you know about elections in Nigeria does not cut across at least four out of six of the geopolitical zones and you haven't seen recent demographics that will design the pattern of voting next year, factoring the new electoral act then you have a cause to worry too because those with the experience, research and tools that have seen the handwriting feel exactly what is ahead (excluding OP because he's exposed to the political terrain nationally I believe). So, we know the major players in the game/ring know the underdog moving calmly has got firm grip on the push and pull factors that will decide the winner, hence all these, and funny, those actions keep increasing his popularity. |
All that's happening in Nigeria is so shameful and sad. |
WhizdomXX:As a Nigerian you should have at least friends or relatives that you can confirm. Call and find out... Just watch out, September for campaigns is around the corner, may God allow us see it and beyond.. Didn't you watch the reactions at the Dome, Dunamis Abuja last weekend? Peter Obi was not the only politician called for prayer on the alter but once it was his turn congregation of over 100,000 people went agog. It is God's doing.. LOL. It isn't over till it is. The fire should be kept burning. |
Beremx:Rest assured Peter Obi will shock many. Voting demographics favour him above BAT and AA. 1. The surge in CVR for PVCs is by youths and adults who were non challant as regards elections. Obi is the driving factor, the difference and both BAT and AA know this, reason they concentrate attacking him than themselves, even Kwankwaso is doing same against Peter Obi. 2. The religion card played by APC has brought in religion and those who will like to play the card will be caught in between AA, BAT and Kwankwaso while Peter Obi is in his class alone. 3. The dissatisfaction/fallout of APC and PDP blocs after the primaries is more destructive than the aftermath Crises of LP primaries. Both APC and PDP have been enmeshed in decamping and cross carpeting of its members 4. Insecurity occasioned by banditry in APC strongholds of Katsina and Zamfara states which a year is too short a time to resolve let alone less than 7months which is the time before the elections. People are displaced. 5. Hunger and insecurity and lackluster performance by the APC which will definitely affect its appeal unlike if things had gotten any better. 6. The states of Adamawa, Gombe, Taraba and Bauchi in the north east will tilt towards AA for a shot at the Presidency for the region. APC will have Borno certainly. But in Gombe, Taraba, and Adamawa Peter Obi will enjoy good fractions of Votes because of the religious bias the election has assumed. In Kano, Kwankwaso is sure giving APC run for their money, except he steps down for BAT. PDP's AA wouldn't score less than 500,000 in Kano. In FCT, Plateau, Benue and Nasarawa states it's Peter Obi. Kaduna wouldn't give less for Peter Obi, because the love is massive and the surge for CVR especially in central and southern Kaduna zones had Peter Obi as driving factor. Although the APC and PDP have strong contentions too. 7. BVAS if not manipulated in states mostly the north will prevent so many under aged from Accreditation and voting. Likewise the removal of use of incident form will reduce drastically manipulations that hitherto accounted for lots of Votes in some climes. There's more time will not allow me to type here.. |
Built2last:Just know that big surprises await those under rating Peter Obi. The drive for more registrations in Lagos and FCT are mostly for him. Likewise Rivers. In Kaduna it is the same story. Benue and Plateau have made their positions known openly. The Northwest that's being bragged about will bring shocker because of Kwankwaso who'll split votes in Kano and Jigawa. Atiku also has not less than 500000 votes in Kano, same with Sokoto. It's funny how people forgot that insecurity has dislodged people from the Northwest right now more than any other region and time for stability and confidence for the people to return to their communities is fast running out. The military will need more than a year to clear bandits that have occupied territories stretching forests and communities of birnin gwari Kaduna, kainji-new bussa Niger (in fact 4 LGAs in niger), now two LGAs in Kwara, most of Zamfara state, parts of Katsina and Sokoto. Another big undoing is the BVAS which will make over voting impossible because of absence of use of incidence forms, even under aged voters which are characteristic of the Northwest especially will find it difficult scaling through Accreditation, except if the system is adjusted (manipulated in favour of..) of which it wouldn't be an easy ride if pressure for a relatively free and fair election is sustained. People who have no experience in the electoral system and who have not been to the different zones are just writing what suits them. The rhythm at the moment isn't funny for the big guys that have been bragging, they know this fact hence their attacks on the underdog. |
Shame on all who support bad governance because of any bias other than performance! How can the minister who is supposed to ensure that the regulated petroleum products are in deed regulated because he knows the effect of unofficial deregulation of the petroleum products (by marketers) because the prices of the products determine market prices (economy) and affect virtually every facet of our national life and he is making statements "probably...". This responsibility is for himself (Minister of state) and the Minister of Petroleum. If he as minister of state petroleum isn't sure, or hasn't investigated, he should confer with his senior minister before coming out to give statements saying the reason is "probably...", long after the prices of the products are varied by everyone who desires to. We have many hypocrites and the price of it is suffering for majority of the people, and if nothing is done we'll birth a shameful country our generations unborn will inherit. The best legacy any generation can leave behind is a better country with improved systems, can we say the same with this country and generation? No matter how stable you are, you can't predict the stability of your fourth or fifth generation, but leaving behind a working system is somewhat a better guaranty of cushion of many eventualities, reason we all enjoy countries where their forefathers built sustainable systems. Keep encouraging bad governance because of ethnicity and religion, sooner or later we'll all realize what kind of country we are building and leaving behind for our unborn, and by then it's too late! |
longetivity:Won Best Governor? Yes (whether in any category, best na best) Got the $1M grant from Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation? Yes So, what or where's their headache? |
AntiChristian:The name ascribed to the followers of Jesus Christ by unknown non-christians was and still is Christians, meaning people after the likeness of Jesus Christ, doing things Jesus did, behaving and acting like Jesus. This is exactly what Jesus has asked that humans do, i.e. to emulate Him, to do what we have seen Him do. Jesus Himself called them His followers, and the Children God has given Him. On a lighter note, you have names you call your children, collectively, onlookers will call them Anti-christians, being that they are your offspring, it's as simple as that. Find below text that shows Jesus prayed for His followers at that time and for those who will do so in the future. If you don't want them (us) to be called Christians, which name according to your research suggest that we are called? John 17:6-26 New International Version Jesus Prays for His Disciples 6 “I have revealed you[a](A) to those whom you gave me(B) out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. 7 Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. 8 For I gave them the words you gave me(C) and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you,(D) and they believed that you sent me.(E) 9 I pray for them.(F) I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me,(G) for they are yours. 10 All I have is yours, and all you have is mine.(H) And glory has come to me through them. 11 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world,(I) and I am coming to you.(J) Holy Father, protect them by the power of[b] your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one(K) as we are one.(L) 12 While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by[c] that name you gave me. None has been lost(M) except the one doomed to destruction(N) so that Scripture would be fulfilled.(O) 13 “I am coming to you now,(P) but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy(Q) within them. 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them,(R) for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.(S) 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.(T) 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.(U) 17 Sanctify them by[d] the truth; your word is truth.(V) 18 As you sent me into the world,(W) I have sent them into the world.(X) 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.(Y) Jesus Prays for All Believers 20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one,(Z) Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.(AA) May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.(AB) 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me,(AC) that they may be one as we are one(AD)— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me(AE) and have loved them(AF) even as you have loved me. 24 “Father, I want those you have given me(AG) to be with me where I am,(AH) and to see my glory,(AI) the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.(AJ) 25 “Righteous Father, though the world does not know you,(AK) I know you, and they know that you have sent me.(AL) 26 I have made you[e] known to them,(AM) and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them(AN) and that I myself may be in them.” Peace! |
AntiChristian:What do you call someone who emulates Jesus and follows His teachings, walking in His footsteps. Do you have problem with this explanation? |
jumper524:El rufai campaign DG? Something he refuted. |
ZzzzMoh:North East states - Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe. Two states there are PDP already. Do your maths factoring all demographics that define election, then you'll know the effect vote splitting between presidential hopefuls and vice presidential hopefuls will cause. Next point to of call is North West States in Northwest are - Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto and Zamfara. Sokoto belongs to PDP. Kano is a split between Kwankwasiya, PDP's Atiku and Ganduje's Jagaban. Already the tsunami of Sule Lamido's PDP is sweeping Jigawa. Expect vote split there too. Kaduna APC's Crises is something I believe you read here and don't forget how it's been 60%APC -40%PDP in past elections (2015-2017) North central- Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau You know what to expect in Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Niger and Kogi. Kwara isn't o to ge this time. South South, you are not on ground in any of the states. South East, worst place you haven't made appearance. Southwest, is home front where you know you won't have it all. Above for your perusal. Jagaban is a fine politician and a leader with vision, one who builds others, I like him. But note that your calculations earlier is a mirage, rest assured. I respect your opinion, but have presented mine too. Peter Obi who wasn't mentioned in North East and Northwest above is the underdog with surprises cause I have seen on ground what dimensions the forthcoming election has taken in the whole of the north and Southwest. |
AntiChristian:No sane person bears Antichristian or anti any religion. The Christianity you have deep hate for is relationship between man and God through Jesus Christ the son of God and such a relationship is the foundation of your eternal peace, I pray you understand. |
H0711:He hid this important information from you. Surely his defence will be he didn't want to lose you. This might not be the only thing he is hiding.. You are in a state that you have to be strong and make decisions that you will be firm with. That child of his is innocent and deserves your pity no doubt, but she isn't your responsibility as in your current state you deserve little or no stress, so don't go about shouldering the responsibility of two "irresponsible parents" who have done nothing but prove how immature and senseless they can be. Use that little strength you still have left to tighten up your belt and take a vacation away from that man. Tell him you have to excuse yourself to allow him space to sort things out pertaining the child and the baby mama. Use that time to clear your head. Just know this, you are at a point you shouldn't beat yourself, deed has been done. Go back home for now, or anywhere you are welcome to stay for some time. Do not be ashamed to ask for help. It is those who ask that receive. Don't listen to those saying leaving your husband is end of you. You aren't ending it but taking a leave to allow for things to be sorted out and if he doesn't sort it out or goes on to impregnate another woman while you are away then you'll have known exactly the kind of person you would have stuck yourself to. If you accept things as they are, in two months' time you'll have two helpless children to take care of, this is not including yourself who will need care too. And considering that your husband deceptively got you into this marriage and isn't financially stable, crisis that rock boat of marriage would be inevitable. Best wishes. |
Commentor:Your post is about ongoing strike while the original post is about strike in 2010 involving Peter Obi and ASUU of Anambra State University. |
Mamaafrik1:With this the whole of Nigeria should be a construction site when the deal starts running. |
Tonnierichy:Lol |
Maverick777:If she said she the last time she did abortion she almost died and so is bent on keeping this one then rest assured that pregnancy isn't his. He's just being hoodwinked by an olosho for economic gains since he'll henceforth assume responsibility for her upkeep. Importantly, you (abi your pseudo friend) just dodged a bullet, they hatched plan B instead of plan A which would have been to kill you and get away with your wealth. She's not alone in this plan, her boyfriend who could be one of the stewards working with you or some random guy is in this plan with her. What to do? Play smart. Don't make her suspect you or predict your next move... Tell her to accompany you to shop some household items that madam said you should get that someone will come to the house to pick. When you drive go to a place you already arranged with one of your friends who will act as a medical personnel. Park before entry and then start talk to her.. If you and your wife don't have kids yet tell her you have chosen to be calm and nice to her despite the news she broke to you and her response, not because you don't know what you are doing, but because there is more she doesn't know.. Proceed to telling her you'll share your family's little secret with her and that is that you are the reason you don't have kids yet, that you were told by doctors that you are impotent. So the chance that you are responsible is very slim. But that you too desire and hope it is yours already because 3 days before meeting with her you completed first dose of some medications, and that you told the medical personnel who gave you the drugs he said it is unlikely the first line/dose starts work so immediately with your kind of condition but that he wants to meet with her to ask her some questions and also start diagnosis on her, it will include matching the foetus in her with your blood. Tell her the man is inside the building holding meeting so he said you should call him when you get there. And tell her you will from there go to the store. Then call your friend who will come and act as a medical personnel. But if you have kids already, edit the story to include you didn't get your wife pregnant, it was through IVF with donor sperm. If the kids look exactly like you then edit it to just your inability to get a woman pregnant through the natural route, only via IVF and that this is the first. You have to catch her off guard. |
pinkPUSSY:People that want to lead a nation of over 200 million citizens and abundant resources have decended so low as to create such a fat lie, truly the scale is falling off our eyes, these people are rogues and are shameless! |
Tonnierichy:It's always a girl that will have the guts to write such kind of letter. Even before seeing the Elizabeth I'd sensed it's a girl writing to a male teacher, especially reading towards the end. You could have been friendly with her and her crew below the official line. And of course, her friends know she wrote this to you and are waiting to see your reaction. |
helinues:i Has El rufai sent, written or called to personally congratulate the vice presidential candidate? The El rufai that you know. No personal tweet, only retweet. |
blamingthedevil:Decrease in domestic debt and increase in foreign debt (which is in dollars) and raises debt profile higher. Lol |
Strangebuttrue:To buttress your point try and browse his last visit to Jos, capital of Plateau State. Before the primaries he paid condolence visit to an Islamic cleric there, and at the same time of the visit some parts of the state were mourning loss of lives of indigines killed by marauding herdsmen militia and terrorists, jagaban didn't visit the governor (APC governor and chairman Northern governor's forum) to register his condolence and condemn the attack, he simply met his cleric and left, the act was noticeably condemned by many but his supporters in the state tried to put up excuses for him till this very act of same faith ticket. The fact is a lot awaits ahead.. No Country grows in atmosphere of suspicion, violence, hate, injustice and destruction. There certainly is a point to prove now more than before. |
sorosoke101:@34 you shouldn't be living with mum except she came visiting (you). But if you have to stay with her because she needs your presence maybe because she is widowed, then you have to put your acts together. |
When some of us argue that the same faith ticket of any popular political party is ill-timed at this fragile time of our history some say it doesn't matter, let them use their influence to ensure inclusion of religion and ethnicity in the forthcoming census. Shebi religion doesn't matter? |
IgweOfNnewi:Same way he will throw face the other way for APC to lose Presidential and most state elections come 2023.. E no send again o, in fact, Baba talk for Daura say e do tire am.. |
