Having worked at the Nigerian Correctional Service for sever years, I have noticed a lot of evil happening there which need the attention of the whole Nigeria and the presidency.

I will briefly highlight some of them here. Pls, if you have also experienced anything similar, kindly drop your comments.

Some of the bad things happening at the Nigerian Correctional Service include:

1. Poor working condition

2. Non implementation of harmonization of salary and rank with the Nigerian Police

3. Staff buying their official uniforms

4. Non payment of promotion arrears and other allowances

5. Irregularities in staff promotions

6. Non consideration of staff welfare

7. Under payment of promotion arrears, even when they decide to pay

8 A police inspector earns more than someone who is on the same rank with an assistant controller of corrections

You did not say anything new. It happens everywhere.

I was thinking you wanted to tell us some of the hidden and dirty activities going on among the inmates, among the officers and/or staff or between the inmates and officers.

May be how some inmates are still having access and control over crimes happening outside.

Assuming there is a part of the constitution that says that if they catch somebody that steals one wrap of sweet, he will be killed by firing squad. If this portion becomes a part of the law and probably not very popular cos no one has bn found guilty of this offence and we keep going.

Maybe, one day, a child is caught and brought to court and the judge sentenced him to death by firing squad. Ppl will start protesting and saying that the punishment is too harsh for that offence. The protest is irrelevant cos you don't expect the judge to change that part of the law with that case at hand. That part of the constitution can only be amended when there's no cases it's application is depended on at that material time.

So, the 25% win of the FCT makes no sense, but it's part of our constitution. It has to be applied in this case. After that, the house can go for it's amendment before next election. Anyone protesting against it's application now is bn illogically emotional and law has no respect for emotion.

Even though I had to follow certain doctrines when I was younger, I have come to question some of them as they cannot be proven through the Bible. I am particularly curious about where the Bible specifically forbids wearing earrings. My parents are devout Christians, and they did not even pierce my ears, let alone allow me to wear earrings.
