Christianity EtcRe: What Body Does Jesus Have In Heaven? by Ptolomeus(m): 9:03pm On Mar 08, 2012
For Christians, it is a spirit.
So says the Bible.
That means that Christians are a sect spiritist
Sect, because it is a excision of the Jewish religion; and spiritist because he loves a spirit (though be called holy spirit).

His intervention produces laughter.
It is the eternal fanaticism can not think!

I understand that any religion is embraced by love, not for profit.
That's hard to get across to many Christians and even harder to understand than most pastors.
Anyway, with some tips that will have other members, I advise suitable for:
If you seek the path of Christ, beware of pastors who try to take the money, citing biblical false statements to take advantage of you. That is the most common.
If no such care, instead of progressing end debt, and the pastor with new house and car.
Christianity EtcRe: God Said:make Sure They Give In Dollars. Does God Have Currency Preferences? by Ptolomeus(m): 6:45pm On Mar 08, 2012
What is the difference that the pastor copper in dollars, euros or cowries?
In neither case applies the word of the Bible.
The biblical tithe was never brought in money, but beans, oils, poultry, etc,
So if that pastor prefers dollars , is no more a thief than that charged in other currency.
A thief is a thief more than otro.Ambos are just that , thieves.
But , in my country we say:
"The fault is not pork, but who would scratch the back"
In other words: If there were no brainless fools who feed these monsters, the monsters do not exist.

Wrong and sinful is what you just did.

What powers do you have? Are you god himself?
Are you judging someone who forcibly entered the home and beat with no legal rights?
You defend such actions? Their god defend that sort of thing?

You should be ashamed of making comments like that!

991:
Fellow Nairalanders, I decided to post this thread so you can share your views on it. Last year a friend of mine was arrested for allegedly impregnating his girlfriend (aged 20). The parents of the girl asked the girl who was responsible and she called my friend, the next morning the parents stormed my friend’s house with the police, the police disfigured my friend’s face with torture at the order of the girl’s father, he was later locked up in police custody for weeks. I know for sure that things like this happen always in this country. My question is “is there anywhere in Nigerian constitution that pledges such an inhuman treatment to men just because they are not yet married to the mother of their child”?
Dear friend:
I'm a foreigner. I do not know the laws of Nigeria, but I would like to explain something.
Even in a country there is a law, that law is worthless if international law says otherwise.
I try to explain.
Although there is a law in Nigeria (the country or whatever) to the contrary, international law (look you google the universal declaration of human rights)
1. Do not allow the emergence of the police in a private home in a violent manner.
2. Do not let the police entry into a home without a court order, after the sunset and to exit it.
3. The physical constraint (beating, torture, etc, ) Will be punished according to international standards.
4. When stopping a person by the police, he shall report immediately to the court (the judiciary) who will determine the procedure to be followed by the police.
None of this has happened, just the opposite.
It is possible (I do not know) that Nigeria will be checked obligation to marry a man became pregnant a woman under 21.
But I can assure you that the police procedure warrants a complaint before a judge, and international support for his friend.
I hope this helps.
My greetings!

Sure ,
I understand what you say.
This example of the elders councils is very graphic. In this example there are not only historical, but even part of the culture of society (I do not I mean it's something good or bad), and therefore it is difficult to change ,
It is a very complex issue because it is not only ethical, but there are other cultural reasons involved.

CultureRe: Tribal Difference by Ptolomeus(m): 6:28pm On Mar 07, 2012
First, let me say that I am a foreigner, and give my opinion as such.
It is not my intention to offend anyone at all, but I just try to provide an opinion on this interesting subject.
I understand that Africa pays tribute to the ongoing European intervention, the war that, using some ethnic groups against one another, or (this is one of the most serious reasons) that separated groups treated with the same result by blending with other quite different (discussed Berlin) produced what is now Africa.
I think very valid claims of different ethnic groups, as were stripped absolutely everything.
I also believe (as you very well said) that at some level, for the benefit of all should be abandoned certain rivalries.
But which comes first?
Here in America, the result of colonialism has not been as bad as in Africa, but also separate people with the same past, to meet the needs of Europeans.
I understand that the first steps is BUILD OWN IDENTITY.
If at first do not understand our roots, we can hardly understand other groups!
First find out who we are, then struggles to understand our tribal past and reconcile with our brothers and history.
The big question is: "Are you Yoruba (Hausa, etc.) or Nigerian"? "are you Nigerian or African"?
In that order.
But I repeat, in my humble opinion the first thing you should keep in mind is our identity and our past, then yes, consider us as a whole and bring about "union"
I hope nobody is offended, it s just my opinion.
I congratulate you on the thread ,  is particularly interesting and would be very positive input from other colleagues!

I could not understand the meaning of the word "schennap". I am a foreigner, but I guess it refers to money given to complete a procedure.
I will not think of Africa, because traditions do not know.
But such things are solved with proper management of state (this sort of thing can not happen in the public domain).
In my country this kind of situation existed in large numbers, but a change of mentality, driven by appropriate policies and awareness of all yields quick results. Today, such practices can be said that not seen in my country.
If we refer to more complex situations, such as bribe to a traffic violation , occurs in very low numbers, almost negligible, as it has become aware that both the infringer and the agent can report, and both are doing something wrong.
Hope this helps

Mhhhh I do not know if we have understood the content of my posts ,
Well, never mind ,
I just I've been meditating on these punishments to their children , I do not know , if all this had been done by the devil, satan , I had accepted with more joy ,
I do not like that image of God bad, punitive, violent, even sadistic.
Very respectfully, do not share the image of that god who spends all his time listening and seeing what each one of us to hand out punishments and rewards ,
I believe that God is something much more important than that , I do not think that deals with such trivial things.
Moreover, the doctrine of fear of punishment, the devil , I mean something that can not be conceived by a true child of God.

I do not agree that the kidnapping or death of a woman and her children is something to enjoy, whether for any reason whatsoever.

Nri was the first Igbo group to adopt the four day calendar. Nri mythology has it that when the founder of Nri went on a journey to discover the mystery of time, he was greeted by four spirits named "Eke, Orie, Afor, and Nkwo" and upon returning to Nri, he used their to form a calendar.

This calendar system, along with many other Nri-made ideas (such as the ozo/nze title), spread to other parts of Igboland during Nri's golden age along with Nri priests and pioneers. It's also noteworthy to say that the further you go south from the Nri-Awka region the less you see these characteristics of "Nri presence".

Well, the general idea is that any community that uses Eke, Orie, Afor, and Nkwo as market days was in some way or anther influenced by Nri. With this in mind, there are some places that don't use this calendar or ozo/nze for that matter.
Dear friend Odumchi.
As a researcher, I want to thank you for your valuable input.
Both maps, as your comments are of great historical value.
There are always discrepancies when we talk about these issues, ethnic issues, sensitivities, etc, but their contribution is really excellent.
I deeply appreciate it!
Kind regards!

Very true what you say.
I have the fortune to live in a lay country. That is, state and religion are totally separate. No religion has precedence over another.
I think this is very successful, mainly looking at some neighboring countries, where the Catholic Church marks the way forward on issues that concern him.
This dependence on the state to the religious power is extremely harmful.

I do not enter here to compete with anyone. Much less with Biblical themes, that does not really interest me.
But you raised the issue, you unknown Malachi, ignores the biblical term holocaust ,
Perhaps you thought that the tithe was given to the priests so that they enjoy the same? That's what pastors do today, not what the Bible says. The offerings were for God, not for priests.
I come to tell you very respectfully, read Malachi.
Now you ask me why that change has occurred ,
It should be you who makes The proposals, not surprised when I quote Malachi.
You have every right to pay tithing, whether you believe it true, I do not.

They (the pastors) first began to collect 10% of salary, without biblical arguments or religious reasons.
As they saw that they accepted fools, and doubters were easily convinced by false interpretations of the Bible , Now they invented this new "jewel".
You die of hunger with his family during the month of January, to meet the interpretation of the pastor!
Otherwise you will go to hell! God does not love it!
Irony!
But this is not definitive , started imposing the 10% salary January now , soon the shepherds say that the sheep must be slaves of the pastor cited Biblical passages, and fools will always work and will give you all money to the beloved pastor ,
Someone said that "the clever fool's lives."
We can say that these pastors do not have ethics, which are crude fakes, but as there are fools to accept that sort of thing ,

Some sects have no own philosophy.
They just do their interpretation of the Bible, and create your own universe.
Speaking of them, not based on their own proposals, but attacks on other beliefs.
Criticize religions that make offerings, but they are done well ,
You ask how long you should keep planting seeds sister and giving money to the pastor?
Well, should continue to do so until one day is no longer have more money.
Then the pastor will be responsible for her sister apart from the church because it no longer serves its purpose.

Christianity EtcRe: Should Christian Divorcees Remarry? by Ptolomeus(m): 5:32pm On Mar 06, 2012
It's complex.
The biblical God is not frowning or punished when they commit adultery with Abraham his servant ,
That God does not punish polygamy ,
In fact , Joseph and Mary were not married, lived together HOWEVER.
There are many passages in which God does not punish certain things ,
Now ,
In practice.
If you are separated could say that God does not accept that, but it is something that has happened, not only depends on you.
The biblical God also allowed promiscuity, but in other passages censorship.
Arguably, it should only sex for procreation. You do so?
How many Christians repress their sex? Many pastors and priests?
Dear friend , I know I will cite some outdated to biblical passages, but some advice:
BE HAPPY.
Do not let the eternal oppressors, who made the cult of fear (and HOWEVER are the first to fall into the "temptations"wink wrecking his life.
God created man to be happy, not awarded the repressed bodies ,
I'm not talking about promiscuity, but to live at peace with himself.
Be happy.

Regardless of the ethical issues you rightly points out, what is more outrageous is the arrogance and aggressiveness with which some attack other groups.
Use terror, threatening to the devil, Satan, go to hell anyone who thinks differently is one of the tactics of those fanatical sects.
Disqualification based on lies so is ,
True, my friend: there are many things to change.
I understand that first we must change ourselves, and to unmask the impostors who profess the "cult of fear" and "only truth" for financial gain.
Religion should not be a business, or a war.
In the same city can be reached by different paths.
Tolerance should be the basis of all religion.
