Udom is not thinking straight.

Other places do not have security challenges? How many security challenges did akwaibom record last year, how many did Lagos record?

Yes I do because every business wants to pay less. On top of taxes they pay they also do community development. The overall tax regemies is have to look.

Seriously, tax cuts will not cut if the overhead expenses is still higher than Lagos. Moreover, I think Lagos tax regime seems to be higher than Akwa ibom. I might be wrong.

And the kidnappers are from oil rich areas, not so. Those ondo Ijaws.

Thats how bad it is. Once 'opportunities' dried up, different ND thugs relocate to Lagos to bunker, Rob banks and kidnap. Where else would they have gotten the money for heavy weaponry?

Are you also trying to compare crime in lagos, with the sort of crime in the ND. Don't make me laugh abeg. No be your ND governors eg wike dey do fake amnesty up and Dan? Are we not regularly seeing edifices of crime kingpins? Are never do well militants not role models?

To you our south south people, have you seen this guy insulting your people saying you are robbers?

Lol you guys are funny you celebrated a building without thinking of what Exxon wanted. Maybe they can arrange federal contact but the same Akwa ibom government building real estate in lagos to meet with investors in lagos. Why didn't they just strange for them to come to Akwa Ibom is the airport not good enough anymore?

Anyway again the state will have to consider their other issue. The best way to get deal is to talk to Exxon Mobil and broker deal. A new building nobody asked is dumb. Tax incentives, saftey guarantees and OGFZ could sway their opinion.

^^^ Why is Akwa Ibom running to Lagos and trying to drag Exxon HQ out Lagos at same time?

Do you think tax cuts will push Exxon Mobil to the state? What's the tax regime of Lagos and Always ibom like? Which one is fairer?

Akwa Ibom is not safe for Exon Mobile and Oil workers. Facts don't lie.

Oil companies left because of lack of safety and security, violence and kidnappings.

You can not guarantee their safety and security with office building..[/b]

Lagos recorded 51 kidnappings in 2016 and 245 murders. So what do you say about that?

Did you even read through all the posts on this thread from the beginning, to understand the reason why that post was made? Nobody is comparing staff strength of major oil companies. The point was to show that not all major oil firms site their head office in the same location, where their drilling operations or exploration activities are conducted. Listen and learn!

No, you were throwing wrong information around. I was only correcting the information you threw.

Statoil is the world's largest offshore operator, with 20,500 employees and operations in over 30 countries worldwide. sad In Norway, Statoil operates more than 40 assets in the North Sea, the Norwegian Sea and the Barents Sea, in addition to holding a significant number of exploration licences elsewhere, as well as operating one of the largest oil fields on the Norwegian continental shelf, producing more than 400,000 barrels a day. Yet, its offices are in Fornebu, just a few metres outside Oslo where its' unique head office is built, with a spectacular view over adjacent park areas and the fjord of Oslo - while its' group activities take place within Oslo (the Norwegian capital) and Bergen.

Some of you will be coming online throwing figures here and there. Ordinary total has 98,000 employees from 150 countries. Stop thinking everyone believes big English.

Igbos, please listen. The best place for business in the next 10years is Akwa ibom state. If the state eventually gets it right, kaboom, the state will house one of the biggest investment inflow.

If you want to buy a land outside igboland, buy in Akwa ibom. You will not regret. From economic projections, run from violent north and toxic west and go to more serene and rich environment to invest. More so, it is closer to home and poses lesser risks.

What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!

Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer

This verse reminds of my childhood. Seriously, I missed those old days. There was this sweetness in being young and godly. As I read through this hymn, I just pictured where I used to sit in church and the people around me at the time.

Things have changed and life is moving so fast that we don't get to fully enjoy the moment.

If you are igbo and you argued about that legislation, you should hide your identity. I find most of my brothers irritating when they argue about these things. If you don't like it, take your investments and leave the state.

Mynd44:
I will alway say that while President Buhari has not done enough to deserve being reelected, all indications point to him winning the election unless the opposition can break the votes from the NW and NE.

The President is going to get more votes (by percebtage) in the NE than the NW, he will get more votes in the SE and SS than in 2015 and states like Edo and Ekiti will likely change.

As for the SW, he cant win more than 58-60% (which will just be enough) because as much as they might feel dissappointed, the PDP is almost non existent and a lot of people dont see PDP as an option.

The PDP needs Saraki to Decamp else they will not win Kwara.

I think you do not know the street realities in the north because you do not stay in the north. The winning percentage buhari got in 2015 in the north will not be replicated as far as PDP do not field Atiku. The Northern states like Gombe will be difficult for him to climb because of the non-hausa majority in the state and the distaste of leadership in the state. No project was done by the federal government and as you all know, the state government has started his antibuhari politics in the state to secure it for himself. Taraba hates the Fulanis now more than ever and I doubt apart from the Fulani communities, he will win the herdsmen affected areas in the state. Same goes to Kano. Kwankwaso will demolish Bihari's dream in this state. His followers are the most loyal servants in the country. They are even begging him to go back to PDP. There is a rumour going round that Buhari is sending money to the Yorubas and neglecting them. They are now eating that propaganda like sweet meat now. Some are vowing that they are going to show him. There was a showdown in the women's leader house. They were insulting the leader for deceiving the women of the state to vote for Buhari in 2015. It didn't end well for the lady.

Niger state might neglect Buhari. Plateau votes will reduce, Kaduna will remain the same, Benue will be nonexistent. He will still win his core northern states like sokoto, zamfara, Katsina, etc but the vote turnouts will reduce drastically.

Buhari needs to appease IPOB leadership because any politician that gives them money and hope will totally crumble the hopes of Buhari in the east because the propaganda might change that the problem is not Fulani but Buhari.

Southwest can never give Buhari 80%, he will only win like 60% because of the Muslims and RCCG members in the region.

I think the greatest test to Buhari reelection is in 2019. He might find it difficult if they field someone other than Atiku.
