[quote author=Ponomote post=76846809]Hi there, from the look of things
1. There isn't any correlation between your program and your Economics degree which might lead to your trv getting rejected based on "Purpose of Visit"
2. You clearly dont have any experience in the field you chose and using it as a route to get into Canada and besides not qualifying for an msc program doesn't necessarily mean you can advance your career with other post graduate program such as; ADVANCED DIPLOMA, GRADUATE CERTIFICATE AND POST BACCALEURATE DIPLOMA
3. Travel history doesn't mean anything. A lot of applicants have obtained their trv without one.

Lastly, I will advice you try and apply for a course relating to your Economics degree in the given programs I listed above you should consider business programs. You should also look to construct a compelling SOP before submitting your application. I hope this helps.

P.s: your 2:2 is more than good enough to apply for those programs I listed.

It is obvious you like stats. Actually stats are cool but the VOs has defined all stats. No one can say they clearly can second guess them.
It's just an observation and I obviously know at the extreme it can be a different scenario.

It’s either you do an upfront medical or The visa office will ask you to complete the medical tests within 30 days of receiving information from them. Once the tests are complete, you would be required to submit the test results or medical slip along with the application form to CIC (though the hospital will also submit the result to CIC). Depending on the results of the medical exam, the immigration officials will decide which candidates are inadmissible and those who must get the chance of immigrating to Canada.

The CIC medical examination usually includes:
~Physical examination like eye, nose, height &weight, heart, lungs, and other organ check-ups
(you’ll be asked to lie on your back and the doctor will just press the abdomen area in 2–3 places to check if they find tenderness or anything abnormal)
And also the doctor will Listen to your breathing using a stethoscope
~Blood pressure
~Chest X-rays
~Blood tests for HIV and Syphilis
~Urine tests

IRCC would approve the application if the applicant doesn’t meet those medical conditions mention by the Canadian public health department. Hence, it would be better if the applicant clearly mention their medical condition to the CIC medical panel physician. The physician will carry out the necessary medical tests for the applicants.

It would be better if an applicant follows the instruction of the physician. For instance, issues like high blood pressure or cholesterol should be under control before going for an examination. Similarly, one shouldn’t drink alcohol 72 hours before the test.

PS: tell the physician to send your medical result to your email address.

I hope I answered your question
Bless you.
In addition if you want a copy of your medical result, you have to come back after 7 days together with 2,500naira to get a copy. This applies to Q-life, Lagos. I don't know about other clinics.

Hi Nairaland Family,
So far so good, we have the timeline of 8 people. Please if you have applied for a TRV, I would encourage you to share your timeline (which should include; the application date, application route, biometrics request date, date biometrics was done, medical request date, date medicals was done, date medicals was passed, and the current status). If you don't have all this information, you can just share the ones that you have and update the rest as you receive it.

This information would help us study or attempt to establish a pattern to how CIC operates.

We have made attempts to "calculate" processing times. (Please note that this is just an average based on the little sample we have. Your processing time may be faster or slower than the average). As we get more samples, I want to believe our calculations would be more "accurate".

Finally, If there is anything you think i should add to the data or calculate from the data, please share with me.

Also, please @Godatwork23 kingly share the date your biometrics was requested, the date it was done, and the date you did your medicals. @TheAfrikan @Oluwaseunbd and @Klem28 kindly share the date your biometrics was requested and the date you did it.
I did a little research and judging by trv approvals in the previous threads, I found out trv's are usually approved 2-3months before program starts. So for the early birds little patience will be required I suppose

Okay, Mostly VO's think people use it as an avenue to relocate to canada and not for educational purpose. I will advise you seek a 2year program or have valid document to prove you will return after your studies.

Good evening guys,i got accepted into saskatchewan polytechnic for Disability support worker certificate program. its an eight months programme.
my question is this, will it recognised as one year diploma programme after am done also, can i easily apply for PR after the i complete the programe?
Thank you
1. You will get approx. One year work permit.
2. You need to have one year work experience to apply for PR
3. The chances of getting trv approved is low because an 8month program doesn't convince vo's that you are going to return home.

Hello Gurus in the House,

Good day every one.

I want to ask is Tax Clearance Certificate Important because i will be using my company as source of FUNDS. I registered the business with CAC last year October but have been running the my business since before it was registered. Should i ignore the Tax clearance certificate and just apply with my CAC certificate and my Company SOA which is barely few months not up to 6 months and i have transferred most of the funds (for my studies to my personal savings account) in my company account to my Personal Savings account to add up the funds already in my personal account. Or should i still get the tax clearance certificate, i called someone the amount he was saying to get the certificate is outrageous 150k.

Secondly as it stands which route is faster for visa application Online route or Paper route currently?

And please i need gurus that will help go through my SOP. I need reviews.

Ccc NaijaForeigner, 042viber,Frankrobbn1(MyOga) etc
Dont waste your money jusy scan the the cac certificate together with the bank statement and you are good to go.

WHat if we are the ones making this thing harder than it should be?

Which one is notorized affidavit of support again? All these filthy paper work that anyone can wake up and create. Tax return, CAC... what’s the VO’s business with how my sponsor is making their money? When did they become EFCChuh

Maybe we are the ones taking this thing more personal than it should be... And we are now indirectly making it a norm...
Exactly people do too much. I stated this in my last post. Just keep it simple and straightforward this people don't have time for all this unnecessary supporting documents.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Qudkom(m): 11:36am On Mar 08, 2019
Let me join this online/paper route argument. The whole argument about which is better or more effective is largely unnecessary. It doesn't matter if you use online or paper if you submit rubbish or fraudulent documents it's still going to be rejected. Also if your documents are out of place and you submit unnecessary supporting documents then it's still going to be the same outcome. What I can say is whenever you are submitting an application go straight to the point. If USA visa officers give you just a few minutes to talk. Why would you think this visa officers will take the whole day to verify your documents. I repeat go straight to the point.

1. You dont have to attach 8 property documents believe me 1 or 2 is sufficient. No VO cares about you having 10 properties. People say you need it for hometies but home tie isn't just finance it is also (Social, family, Personal Investments etc)

2. Your SOP doesn't have to be two pages 4 paragraphs answering key questions is enough ( introduction, why you chose the program and goals, why canada and conclusion is enough.)

3. Bank statements isn't always about the balance, inflow/outflow over 6 months says a lot about the sponsor.

4. Understand that your family composition is very important in your sponsors decision to sponsor you. I.e if your have 4 younger siblings and you submit an application the VO will want to know if your father can cope with the expenses, for those using extended family the VO wants to know the dependents of the extended family member I.e why does your uncle/aunt want to sponsor you dont they have kids of their own and expenses etc

5. Like I said earlier no unnecessary documents should be attached. GO STRAIGHT TO THE POINT.

6. If you are going to attach a document that can appear confusing try and write a short "statement of explanation" explaining to the vo what the document is all about. For example you are a member of an Agricultural investment company a short statement of explanation should clarify when and why you joined the association and what the returns from the association is used for. This statement should be attached just before the document and you should use it as many times as possible that way the VO can flow with you.

6. Lastly use spell check or any grammer check online to verify documents and for those who use online pdf compressors kindly note that not every online compressor is safe some store your data on their servers while the good ones delete them after you are done compressing. Googling the top 10 compressors will do.

P.s: this is my opinion on study visa applications. And for the newbies try reading from part 11 that way you can get a degree in handling canada study visa applications lol.

God bless everyone taking their time out to make this forum a success. Your joy will never seize .
Please I have a question to ask. I was Denied on my first application. To reasons of 1. travel history
2.purpose of visit
3.personal assets
Though I regret using an agent who resides in Canada
She didn’t give me any information only requested for a few documents and We had to pay her 1.9million for the processing . I finished high school in 2015.
Do I need to fill the forms exactly the same way I filled it in my previous applications?
In my previous application I also stated that I had an apprenticeship training after high school, if I ommut that now will it be a red flag? I await your reponse. Thanks
Bro kindly send a personal message let's chat. It isn't the end of the world and there is always a solution

Hello house!

I want to say that this is one of the best places to acquire information and learn about real life experiences concerning studying abroad.

A job well done to all those who have contributed selflessly. May God bless you all.

Please, I need help from you guys.

Here is my profile:

I graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka with a 2.2 in BSc Combined Hons degree (Microbiology/ Biochemistry) looking to further my education in GIS/Geomatics in Canada.

Last yr Aug, I applied online for a Canada study permit with hopes to continue my academic journey at Nova Scotia Community College for a course in Adv Dip Marine Geomatics but my application was refused on the grounds that I have limited travel history and my intention to study abroad wasn't convincing. Now, I'm planning to reapply to CIC but with a different school (Fanshawe/Fleming college) this time. NSCC has increased its nonrefundable tuition deposit to 1k CAD from 400 which is isn't reasonable.

My question is, for the limited travel history, is it necessary to satisfy the concerns of the VO by making a trip outside the country? What points do I include in my sop and loe to make that go away?

Many thanks!
what I can tell you is rejection based on travel history isn't a stand alone reason. it is usually accompanied with other rejection I.e purpose of visit + travel history. so you don't have to travel to prove that you wont pver stay. I hope this helps. lastly, you need to have a constructive reason on how your program choice will be of benefit to you back in Nigeria. p.s: you can include the fact that there is a high demand for people with that qualification and THAT YOU HAVE DONE YOUR RESEARCH AND NO SCHOOL IN NIGERIA OFFERS THE PROGRAM.

[quote author=sopho post=73376517]Wow there are so many things wrong with this application:
1. The relationship with your sponsor wasn't well established.
2. you have no work experience similar to that of an human resource manager I mean you dont even have proof of employment or running a business
3. there isn't any proof that you've been doing anything since 2011
4. how can you attach a picture of you "pregnant"with your fiancee. thats a red flag.
5. You buried all your home ties by claiming you have someone to offer you a job in canada after studies.

If you applied through the express entry route coupled with the offer or employment in canada then maybe you'd have had a good chance.

[quote author=Jeanjohnny post=72469723]he doesn't have to transfer the funds to your account. you only need a convincing letter of sponsor, letter of employment, statement of account and property documents. Also if your course of study is related to managing your parents school then that might work as home ties. lastly, make sure your brother writes a convincing letter of sponsor and make sure he highlights the number of dependents under him.

Did a little research and found out cic strategically dont give western African countries "priority". They want students from the likes of china, india, japan, European countries and the likes. Some designated asian countries only require 3 things (Pay tuition, deposit living expense in a Canadian bank and get an admission letter) and in 4weeks your visa is ready. But here in Nigeria we submit all the documents in this world to convince them. They even have more visa offices/officers overlooking the affairs of those regions because of the impact they have in their economy. They only want our first class students with scholarships and STEM students. The rest is just luck and Gods favour, after all we all submit generic documents hence generic visa rejection reasons. One day when unemployment rate reduces and we alleviate poverty in our nation maybe we are then going to be respected in other countries and not seen as desperate and dangerous. Talking about dangerous I just read about a Nigerian caught in turkey on Internet fraud basis and you wonder why visa rejections are high. Lastly, keep trying and put everything in the hands of God and remember that canada isn't the only place in the world you can succeed.
