OK i see what this is all about, her acting has affected everybody's opinion. I agree she should stop acting and turn to singing

the song is not bad, i's different from the mainstream nigerian music collection. Which believe it or not all sounds the same, you've heard one wizkid, dbanj, or wande coal song you've heard them all.
I think these guys were trying to play with an alternative sound, I will say it was poorly produced (which was also a decent effort) given Nigeria isn't much creative with normal sounding music. They are all on a constant hype.

She just needs to revisit studio and try again, most of the artists on the charts can't sing (esp nigerian male ones) so she shouldn let that hold her back. Look at dbanjs oliver for example, that was different, he played with the music a little (or rather don jazzy did) Nneka is different, so is Asa but they are still very successful. so she shoulnt lose hope.

It's funny, even if some will propagate the beliefs and insist a woman must become the dumb one and be content with all maltreatment and wot not, they can at least provide a logical reason for doing so. They should explain why that approach is beneficial to the wife or to her children. At least I will be able to understand a little bit why Africans insist these things.

your one sided view is expected- let me ask you. What does the wife stand to gain from the marriage? She is working and taking care of 2 children by herself? why should she bother? First take a patience pill. A president is respected not becos of the person he is but the office he occupies. Your husbands attitude may be like po, but becos of his office as husband, still give him respect.

1. Call him regularly, be cheerful on the phone when you call, ask him about his activities nicely and be genuinely interested, Dont NAG about money. You can ask about the household needs when you really really have to. if he refuses, let it be.
2. Thank God you have a job and make do with what you have, dont make your contributions an issue, limit your contributions to what is necessary, no fancy stuff.
3. When he comes around stop the confrontation, since he does not listen and resorts to violence. Make the house as comfortable as possible for him
4. Stop asking about the car, your nagging will not get it for you, as you are doing save towards one if you can and it would stop giving him reasons to annoy you, forget the car is there. He would later wonder why you are not asking and might offer it,a t least for his children school runs.
5. Another problem is the distance, he is not around and cant see how you contribute to the family upkeep, if he has any resonable bone in his body, u could do a cash book of your expenses from time to time and show him.

for the life of me- i don't understand this. Can you explain this advice to me, tell me what the wife stands to gain from behaving like this. What is her reward for this, why should she be content with being abused?

My husband has abused me verbally, emotionally and even physically. My name is Betina and I have been married for four years with two boys(they are my only source of happiness now). I work in one of the communication firms and I earn an average of 110k per month. My husband is a business man but stays in one of the neighboring african countries but he comes home at least once every two months. My woes started barely 2 weeks after d birth of my son who I had thru CS, I had an argument with my hubby and d next thing I know he was beating and slapping me,that is not minding d fact that I was still recovering from CS. I cried and wailed and had to call his mum on the phone who in turn called all his siblings and they all pleaded with me to let go. He later apologised and I forgave him but he has still beaten me up on 2 other occasions even in front of d kids.

Its difficult and yes I understand, but I think you should weigh the pros and cons, one of them being him beating you to death, and the fact that he sounds like an animal. I also don't think you should discuss it with him, because i fear he might use that as an opportunity to beat you. Just pack your things gather your children and let go. Nothing is worth living in hell for.

Parents of the four undergraduates murdered at Omuokere-Aluu community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State last Friday have called on the Inspector General of Police to take over investigation of the circumstances surrounding the brutal killing of their children.

The parents who spoke in Port Harcourt yesterday said they had lost confidence in the ability of the Rivers State Police Command to handle the matter.

Speaking through their counsel, Barr Peter Ndukwe, the parents said they gathered that three police patrol vehicles had driven into the community at three different times while their children were being marched round by the cheering community crowd.

They wondered why the police chose to abandon its responsibility at such a key time only to turn round to say it was investigating the circumstances surrounding the killings.

The parents also said the police lied when it said it had charged suspects arrested in connection with the killing to court.

They said: "The police were there when they killed our children, yet they did not stop the act. The claim that those arrested had been charged to court was mere propaganda."

The parents insisted that their children were not criminals, adding that nothing incriminating was found on them before the murder.

@op this is actually a very good question for women to ask their potential partners. If my man told me he wouldnt be present at the birth of his kids its a definite bye bye from me. An obvious indicator the man has a careless attitude and will be a very bad father.
I understand a man saying he might feel queasy but imagine how your wife will feel? Its not as if a woman can bail on her labour, it is compulsory you be there unless she doesn't want you. I know alot of men bail on the birth of their kids and they ALWAYS turn out to be very bad fathers, ladies better look out for these indicators. Not everyman is husband/father material. Everyone's beliefs on this differ. I am going to be my childrens closest friend, because I believe in maintaining a suitable relationship and means of communication with your children.
