aminulive: More like propaganda than actual business report. Since when did NNPC gives license for operation? Perharps, the writer is too confused to know that the NNPC is a player like Dangote, MRS and Total. Besides, of what concern is the refinery's standards to NNPC? Do we have level 1 Mass comm students as newspaper reporters? A $19b project with questionable safety standards? What does the NNPC knows about standards? These days, there appaers to be concerted effort to just 'cancel' Dangote, the hatchet men have been doing a very poor job at that for any informed mind. SMH. 1 Like 1 Share |

AlexBells: 1. That why rules are put in place. So long as people respect rules put in place, this is a non-issue. 2. Of course the Fed govt will keep the military and a few agencies and probably a central police, but states will have their own policing systems. 3. Federal laws that will guide the country in its interaction with other nations and between federating states, neverthless, states will have their own laws according to customs, traditions, religions and times they find themselves in. 4. The Fed civil service will continue but a more leaner one. Hopefully, only agencies performing needed functions get retained. I look forward to seeing the day Nigeria shakes off the current monolithic, snail-paced system. And it seems those days are in sight. |

The presidency I envisage Tinubu to hand over by 2031 (ceteris peribus) would be radically different from the one he was handed over, one we are witnessing today. Gentlemen, fasten your seatbelts. |

The only book I read written by a northerner regarding the events of those days (by the way, I find it difficult to understand why all northern topshots didnt document about the coup and its aftermath, if they were aiming and hoping to be gentlemen and just let that ugly chapter die off with no stories told about it, they've been terribly wrong. Others have taken it upon themselves to sell that history as they see fit, in the process making the innocents villains and vice-versa. This issue of documentation and putting history ut as it is I believe is something we need to take very serious as northerners, otherwise, people will tell OUR STORIES from THEIR point of view. Today, all issues regarding the events leading upto and after Jan 66 is only read from atimes, highly controversial sources, one where each side sometimes goess off the rail to publish fallacies. ) In his biography (it was not written to talk about the Jan 66 and its aftermath, just the author's life and relationships with various governments) - Where I stand (Inda na Tsaya in Hausa), Sheikh Abubakar Mahmud Gumi who happened to be the senior judge of northern region, recollected that days after the coup, Ironsi demanded for his presence and when he arrived, the Head of State asked him about 'Weapons him and the Sardauna had imported from Saudi Arabia' , it was an absurd allegation, one that lacked any foundation, yet, the HoS seemed to hold the belief that it indeed held some truths, he later out found it to be false. It helps in shaping out and pointing out better, who the guy Ironsi was and what he thought of Sardauna and his leanings towards the coup. 2 Likes |

joggler: Very dumb arguments. Bill Gates is the first of present day young billionaires, after his company Microsoft released series of products that brought about significant changes and progress. He once held the title of the worlds richest person between 5-7 straight. Yet, a litany of companies and projects coudnt prosper after Microsoft brought them for significant amounts, these are products and companies that have made their creators multi-millionaires yet, coudnt get off the ground after Microsoft brought them. https://killedbymicrosoft.info/ Does this invalidates Bill Gate's experience and standing as an enterprenuer of note? Sometimes I wonder how some people reason. |
