fuckJones: This. What educated illiterates dont know. We may win a battle, but most likely lose the war: Humanitarian crisis will end up in Nigeria - not northern Nigeria as many like to fantasize. Flow of weapons and terrorists from all over the Sahel plus another country becoming a direct appendage of the little resources we are managing. The cost of war is terribly skewed in no one's favour. Military intervention in Niger is an unworthy adventure that wont get us anything but trouble. 1 Like |

mrvitalis: When will you ever learn to think straight? Are you under 12? If so, your missteps may be forgiven if not, you need to check yourself. Do you mean the infrastructure budget for instance (roads) will be the same across all regions - a flat allocation of say 50b a year when each of these places have their own peculirities? Health? Education? Transport An awesome idea from the OP but you just have to show yourself. I believe the real motive is to address issues from a common place - most regions share almost same peculiarities an factors, so it will be easier to derive solutions than the current system where we are dumping solutions that worked in say coastal Akwa-Ibom on sahel Sokoto and expecting results. Ebubu2: In most of these places, a woman visit you once (and they are very eager to visit), you've unofficially become husband and wife. 3 years down the line (if it lasts that long) and the man gets tired, he sends her away with children in tow and move onto the next village beauty. |

Thomasankara: 1. Only the un-informed (of which category you clearly belong) would be unaware of Dangote taking a loan to finance his refinery project. He definitely coudnt have financed the project all by himself and its not how such projects work, question and bone of contention is you saying he took loan from govt. and I saying he took from commercial partners - he made mention of it himself during the commissioning, and I didnt just wake up one morning to start learning about Dangote refinery, I have been following the project from public sources for a couple years now. 2. Sorry for your unfortunate experience accessing loans from banks. There's this thing they call credit worthiness - who knows you, in your line of business how big are you, can you do what you said you can do, who will vouch for you, if things dont go as planned - how do you plan to repay and importantly, whats your history regarding loans etc If a dead banker is to ressurect today, he will approve a N1b loan for Dangote (without even understanding all details) before he approves N1m loan for you, he believes that come rain come shine, his money is safer with Dangote than with you. Dangote isnt the reason you are unsuccessful. Work on yourself, your ideas, your brand and social capital. You are getting some financial advise for free here. |
