The dregs of Nigerian news... Their private lives are no one's business... i doubt they'd agree though |
Who is apologising now... The Governor or his aide? The first issue is ending the strike. That's the only true and acceptable apology. Secondly, the government has shown what it thinks of the electorate from where it gets its mandate. If Ajimobi is looking for respect, he should demand it from members of his family. The Electorate owe him rather he owes them the balance of their mandate and votes. He is a thief if he thinks otherwise. |
The video sef resemble Nollywood movie... so much testosterone on display. |
The right to solidarity. One of the placards reads that "The freezing of mama peace accounts is a witch hunt". Is that an admission that mama peace is a witch? |
NaijaTechGuy:Please note that DMCA is an American law and doesn't (automatically) apply to the entire internet. DMCA means Digital Millennium Copyright Act. When you file a DMCA report, you're making a Copyright Infringement Claim which is a legal issue so its advisable that you consult an intellectual property lawyer first. This is because the DMCA will not always apply on grounds of jurisdiction. Sometimes, its the Nigerian Copyright Act that will apply. The first thing to do is seek counsel from a lawyer and then serve the website or blog with a Cease and Desist Notice before taking any punitive legal action. |
Good stuff! We need to learn more handy skills. Technicians aren't respected enough because we reserve menial tasks for them. On the issue of auto fluids, i believe the engine needs to be warm when checking tranny fluid. |
ourema:Poor is an overstatement. This is junk. |
Who NLC epp? Why can't NLC do something productive in response to government's policies. All they know is strike! What happens after strike? Those of us in the private sector lose the cost of daily returns and growth while the civil servants and members of NLC get paid for work not done. When did NLC assist the FG to weed out ghost workers or to impose minimum conducts of service and behavior for members. Most Civil servants are so lazy and indolent, yet they are malicious and unproductive. Let them leave what still remains of the civil service intact and take this their strike news to AFCON, We need god strikers. |
Kayceenaz:The younger generation have taken jungle justice to the next level with online public lynching and execution. People just rush to conclusions when they read half-baked stories from unprofessional blogs with dodgy motives. From revenge porn to financial blackmail and cyber bullying and harassment, almost all online websites and forums (including Nairaland) are guilty. We really need to look inwards and decide for ourselves where we are going. |
I don't understand why a thread should be created about the "dapper" look of someone on trial for money laundry on a massive scale. Our moral compass is so far down south beyond the shores of the Atlantic! Haba! The same mods celebrating the daylight robbery of our commonwealth will now focus on MMM in a fake display of self-righteousness. It reeks of a hatchet job for monetary gain. That's hypocrisy and its too bad. Please call a spade what it is... Discourage HYIPs and Ponzis, do your campaign across board MMM and others.. and while you're at it, stop celebrating (alleged) looters, or at least wait until the case is concluded. Cheers. |
Is this not cutting your nose to spite your face? If you eject the security apparatus of government, don't complain when lives and property are no longer safe The problem with Stomach Infrastructure is that your stomach is full but your pocket is empty. |
His statements are the highest form of insubordination and highhandedness. If that rally was to seek votes, he'd be singing a different tune. This underscores the fact that the youth of this country should only stand behind people who can deliver. Don't sell your vote for chicken change. If you vote in a ragamuffin, you'll get vagabond policies. |
Haphard:With due respect, this is the sort of mindset that's kept christians in bondage for so long. The bible actually says a lot about tithes but we focus so much on 1 scripture until its twisted out of proportion. Can we take egos and churchiness out of the equation and just read and be true to the Bible. |
The Op is a bunkum scallywag. What sort of ridiculous post is this? Your conclusion neither validates nor justifies your premise. If you have nothing to post, put your hands in your pockets. If your aim is to market a blog or educational resource, you have failed. |
IamPatriotic:Your moniker and this post are in sync and on point here. Its interesting though that our Government Agencies lack tolerance, our society lacks constructive criticism and the media is almost bereft of investigative journalism. That's why I choose to stand with PT on this. |
Anyone who commits a crime should face the music, irrespective of the person's tribe, religion or status.Crime has no family or affinity. The first question we need to ask is whether the person committed the offence. Otherwise, every nationality will claim victimization. |
Back to this same issue of bloggers willing to post anything for a hit... |
Finally! Some good news... |
Anyone who has followed Mr. Obazee since 2011 will acknowledge the relief brought about by his removal. People are entitled to have an opinion and this includes the few who believe Adeboye is responsible for Obazee's removal. While we don't know the real reasons for certain, I can count at least 3 incidents which can be pointed to as the reason for Jim's ouster. Either way, I'm glad. The FRC (formerly NASB) clearly exceeded its mandate under Jim and dabbled into areas it clearly had no jurisdiction over. Any student of Corporate Governance knows that you can't impose a blanket code for companies because companies come in different shapes and sizes. We want NGOs and religious bodies to be more fiscally accountable and socially responsible, but there's already a process for that. There are procedures for that. Moreover, FRC isn't the Agency charged with making or implementing these policies. The Agency was used as a means to funnel funds from the private sector to private pockets within the FG. |
That move was just so timely! The guy was a relic of an era of impunity and rashness. Some of these appointees have forgotten that they will leave some day. Yes, we need corporate governance codes, but you can't make a code and expect it to apply across board when different companies and industries have their various unique characteristics. Its preposterous. Emefiele next abeg. |
Truth234:Did you author the article or you just invented the topic? |
temitemi1:Ae you aware that the code was developed and deployed by FRC under Jonathan. The implementation was only suspended because of the court case filed by some religious organizations represented by Adegboruwa. There's no connection between Buhari and the code, lets stop whipping up religious and tribal sentiments. After all, the Islamic institutions are also affected. |
See how 1 man just dabaru the lives and destinies of a whole nation! Its shocking to think that fellow Nigerians cheered him on. Absolute power should never be reposed in 1 person. |
Any bites? Still searching... |
There are always 2 sides to every story. I'm sure the EFCC reserves the right to admit whoever they deem fit after their screening. All candidates understand that before entering the program. This trend of rushing to social media to vent or shame government into taking decisions in sensitive areas of the economy won't augur well for anyone. There are formal channels of complaint, please embrace them. Don't rush to post things on social media just because you have a phone and data, it won't take you anywhere. |

This Administration has changed the definition of slow. How have the various Agencies been efficient without constituted Boards? They need to be more decisive. This is 2017, no more sleeping on the steering. |
Hi fellow Techlanders, I am looking to purchase the battery pack for a HP Officejet 150 All-in-One Mobile Printer. Anyone with the product in stock please holler. Lagos, Port-Harcourt or Abuja. Thanks. |
Misleading title. The picture is obviously from a performance of some sort and the girl is probably an exotic dancer. You can see that the lady in the background has a similar outfit on. Its bloggers like this that give credence to the NASS attempts to gag social media. |
Its 2017, the world has moved on from this stale story. Everyone is trying to score cheap points off a simple story... Politicians and Bloggers... Na wah oh. |
Afu84:Haba! There's no need for this personal attack. The person just gave a legal opinion on the issues. If someone insults Nigerians, legally speaking, no 1 person can sue. That's locus standi. Also bear in mind that all professions have bad eggs. If you jam some nurses... I have had the opportunity to see European nurses and Nigerian nurses in action. Save for a few, I generally have had bad experiences with the latter. |
Defamation is a personal action and not class-based. If they didn't mention his name, then he might find himself in a sticky pickle in court. Punch kwa... All professions are suffering in Nigeria. The media died a long time ago. |
