They were called to the Nigerian Bar, not inducted as lawyers. |
Nice article, the tests are neither qualitative nor conclusive but there's an unarguable consistency in relation to very intelligent people. |
Nupeng et al are a bunch of self-serving critters... They're only interested in improving their power base within the oil sector. As an entity, their Cooperative Company owns billions of naira. They have billions in investments all over the country- that's whats up! These facts are verifiable. I am yet to see any nationally-beneficial project NUPENG or any of its sister associations has embarked upon. They're worse than politicians- they're wolves in sheep's clothing. |
seguno2:A former policeman and also a lawyer... |
Guess what? Premium Times is owned by Nuhu Ribadu... Do the math. |
All these dodgy self-help threads sef. Ruining lives since 1914. Workphobic implies a fear of work, whereas what you described is a workaholic. In the case of the latter, first and foremost, the lady should be independent and confident in her own skin. Develop a high sense of self-worth and you won't feel the insecurity of a committed partner. |
Dear blogger, Did you interview residents of the avenue? Did you even visit the scene? Did you ask for a statement from Mr. Adenuga? Did you find out what the process for allocating street names is? Did you inquire the official statement from the Residents Association? Did you even bother to find out what the code of conduct you glibly referred to contains? This is what we have been reduced to, mediocre and kwashiokor-afflicted news. Garbage in, garbage out. |
You left out the most important thing- VERIFY FACTS BEFORE GOING LIVE! Use your brain to ask questions before rushing to post junk from Pluto. |
Is there any basis at all for this story? Rumours and conjectures are all these words are built upon |
"Nigeria is too big to fail"- Adeosun Isn't that what they said about MMM? I hope its not too big to be 'paused' |
No image to put to the voice... doesn’t make it false, its just highly unreliable. |
nepapole:Na who s**t pass go empty soak away. Its a function of use and time. |
ammyluv2002:He's using sarcasm and irony to make his point. He actually means the opposite of what he's saying. |
Why this incendiary topic? Someone else posted the same news with a topic that reflects what really happened. |
onatisi:Well said. Nigeria has better qualified messengers for this sort of errand. |
PMB do your work here at home, please leave this mission to GEJ, let him find something useful to do with himself. |
You can't talk about waivers without bringing up Dangote. The fact that Africa's richest man comes from a country with Africa's poorest should be an example of the dangers of arbitrary waivers and concessions. Madam Fin Sec, enough about problems, you don't need to be an archaeologist to know the cause of our problems. Nigerians now want solutions. |
Rev2214 I hail! Please how much is that kiddies car described as "hard toys"? I'm guessing its the battery operated mini car. |
This is more of a parting shot at Old Students' Associations- else, what other body apart from the PTA actively intervenes in the lives of students? What the Ministry of Education is doing in effect is throwing out the baby with the bathwater. Many Unity Schools would be nothing without the intervention of Old Students' Associations. MoE should stay in the office and continue to issue directives, the schools know where their bread is buttered. The Education sector should be the next focus of the anti-corruption torchlight. |
Ajaniopo:That's a complex statement. Making the decision is the easy part, my brother. The tough part is maintaining the discipline to manage and maximize your time and money. If you can master these two resources, your results will astonish you. Initially, it seemed like my friends in paid employment were better off because the salary was sure at the end of the month, but I had some savings to fall back on. But 3 months after I set out on my own, I was earning 3-4 times my monthly salary. The sweetest part was that I operated from home to minimize overhead cost. One year later, i rented a small office space and hired my first staff. Staying on course can be tough especially when juicy employment offers come your way, at the end of the day, its often a question of choosing between short-term gain or long-term gain. Today, I have a personal relationship with my friends' bosses. Sometimes they invite me to partner on projects on an equity participation basis. Most employees will never get there. |
FSBoperator:God bless you for that statement... |
Most Nigerians will probably advice you to keep your day job while you moonlight on your passion after hours. That advice sounds reasonable but it comes from a place of desperation and greed- it won't work. You can't serve 2 masters and love them equally, you will be found wanting somewhere. Thats how someone would spend 15 years in a banking sector job and expect to "hit the ground running" as a music artiste or as a producer. That's just funny. If you're really passionate about fish farming, you need to give it your all- start learning on the job right away. You will have to focus on your passion and turn it into a business. Consult professionals widely- seek counsel from friends and family who are lawyers, accountants, business development and marketing consultants on how to grow your business. If you must quit, then be ready to give it your all, otherwise, don't even bother unless you wish to leave it the level of a hobby. I made this decision about 9 years ago and haven't looked back since. Your greatest asset is your time and as an entrepreneur, you have the prerogative to determine how you invest it. I wish you all the best. |
NASS isn't the place to go. Their core function is to make laws, not to interpret the law or to compel observance of laws. She should face court and not bury whatever is left of her image in exchange for a dollars. |
Access Bank staff treat customers like they're doing us a favour. Shior! Yeye dey smell! Modified: Unfortunately, their mobile platforms never work, so you forced to go to the bank to transact. |
Access Bank is such a useless bank. None of their mobile platforms ever work! Its always "system failure" report. What a failed bank! They need to improve on their customer services because i'm already calculating how to move all my money to another bank. |

Na wah oh! men still dey here. |
Thanks FEMA. Abuja residents this Heat Wave is real! Stay hydrated at all times. Increase your water consumption and if you can, take multiple showers. Have a damp towel handy especially when indoors in the evening. Make sure your kids and pets are also as cool as possible. If you have a spray can, please fill it with water carry it around to spritz yourself on the go. God bless you. |
Blue3k:You're very correct. |
You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Unless your physical health is in danger, you married him for better or for worse. You know your hubby best. In relationships, most Men are actually moved by submissiveness. Very few men respond kindly to confrontation. Be the voice of reason in your marriage and he will melt for you. |
As in! I can't verify the accuracy of this statement but let's hope it's not true. The sheer idiocy exhibited by the maker is only overshadowed by the mindless and brazen manner in which the statement is made. |
You shouldn't try to forcefully explain the concept of the new birth through the doctrine of tithing. That's like trying to force a camel through the eye of a needle- you'll create more problems than you set out to solve. Tithing is a concept that was practiced in a context. It's different from the new birth or the spiritual relationship between God and His Children. |
