I really find it hard to believe this story because the proper thing to do in this case is to report to the police. The VP may shield him from administrative punishment but can't shield him from criminal prosecution. It's a no-brainer for any parent. That's why I find this story quite sad, but hard to believe.

Investigative journalism involves actual, thorough investigation. The journalist follows all leads thoroughly until the story is ripe and mature, not the half-baked nonsense we are served by the Nigerian media.
Be realistic, all the info in that report is assembled to create an emotional response from readers. I refuse to be fooled.

I support the probes and criminal prosecution, but condemn the media trial. The media should also be careful not to be used by political opportunists on either side of this corruption war.
