Christianity EtcRe: My Thoughts And Questions About Religion by Ranchhoddas: 7:15am On Jan 15, 2019
MuttleyLaff:
God does not have any problem with two easy going, ordinary consenting adults, minding their own businesses enjoying a caring, faithful, committed, truthful, honest, loving, lasting that's life-long and loyal same-sex relationship, that has no detriment to another person, no betrayal of another person, or no cheating on another person, and not harmful to an object or neighbour. What was and is an anathema to God is sexual promiscuity, having multiple sexual partners, orgastic temple rites, temple prositutions, infidelity, sexual sacrifices with the belief that it brings about divine favour, blessings and/or a new and higher level of spirituality, sexual fertility rites etcetera.

If not obvious, then strain the eyes, you'll see metaphors used in the bible, that depicts the feminine side of God too. It might be the way the world was when the bible was written and that is because it was a patriarchal world then

Not some empthy but the world needs all the empathy and compassion
cc Ranchhoddas, frosbel2

Empathy is not a Christian thing.
"Do to others as you'd have them do you" is universal.

Christianity EtcRe: What Would Be Left Of A Man After 21 Days Of Dry Fasting?? by Ranchhoddas: 10:05pm On Jan 14, 2019
Anas09:
Lolzz. How can you call abstinence from food from 6a.m to 12noon fasting?

There are different types of fasting, hence you have to choose which you want to undertake, as your body can carry you.

Okay, let me say this to clarify. Sometimes, i do 3days dry, no water, no food. The last one, i commenced by 6p.m on sunday and drank water on Wednesday 6.p.m, then continued 12 midnight to 6p.m the next day, every day.

If you really want to be serious you can't go eating food by 12noon.

Make sure you define your terns before you begin, or you'd just be starving and could end up with ulcer. Ask yourself the reason you are fasting, answer yourself.

Again, if you fast without praying, you are just on a hunger strike. You must engage the supernatural. You must pull the substance of what you need to become evidence.
You wan kee yaself?

True, but thought you earlier were scoffing at it

Why? Put a finger on what makes you even not believe that the kingdom is real
Lack of evidence is a good reason I would think.

I sabi pidgin now, na just the way you come yarn that lingo nahin throwe me

I bin Ajebutter slash Ajepako, crime no dey for that
I come dey wonder.

Animals are not murdered for food, but correctly put, are killed for food consumption. You do know eating animals for food, wasnt part of the original plan for man, dont you? Man, in the beginning, started life out as a vegan
"Kill", "Murder"
What's the difference?

Are you presenting Jewish fables as real historical facts?

No, but when you read passages in the bible written in red and white, as in words are written with red ink, it means, that is Jesus talking or saying something
I know this.

How and why is this a weapon handy to flog with?
Sounds like a false prophecy, not unlike the one found in Isaiah 4:1 -- another conveniently abandoned by Bible apologists.

Wickedness is the absence of empathy and/or compassion
Wayo wan start again. They are antonyms

"An expert in the Law of Moses stood up
and asked Jesus a question to see what He would say.
"Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to have eternal life?"
"
- Luke 10:25

Yeah, what about belief in Jesus? How do you mean, what about belief in Jesus? Never mind, those two preceded, are rhetorical questions, but Ranchhhoddas, are you familiar with and understand that reproduced above Luke 10:25?

For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it.
- Matthew 7:14
I am. And I understand it, as long as we are taking it at face value.

Ranchhoddas, never forget that only dead fish swim with the stream, besides, you know me by now, I am a one man MOPOL. I dont go where the path may lead, I go instead, where there is no path and leave a trail. It is not the first subject and certainly wouldnt be the last many people on here would disagree on with me. Recent would be, Ihedinobi3, he didn't share my view, which if you have been tracking the conversations between him and I on this thread, you would have noticed. He disagreed with me, definitely because he was paying attention to my finger, focusing on it and so missed seeing that, I was pointing at. Remember the thread is captioned "How Was The Black African Saved Before Christ - Discussion" and my contribution beamed a light on the area of darkness frosbel2 raised with the topic.

Ranchhoddas, the narrow path, is less travelled by. No wonder, Thomas Dewar, once famously remarked:
"There is no traffic congestion on the straight and narrow path"
There are many roads less travelled. Charles T. Russell, Ellen G. White, Ron. L Hubbard, Osho to name a few have also made statements like yours.
Does this mean they are all right? You are not the first "one man mopol". You will not be the last.
If there are are 10 straight and narrow ways how do know you are on the right way. There is the straight and narrow and there is the right way (I presume). Don't mix things up.

You havent enthusiastically taken in this yet Ranchhoddas. Or should I share more to Luke 10:25 above? There is more than one flavour that gives one, a free pass into the Kingdom and/or a "get out of jail" card you know. I can share the bible passages, if curious.
I have been hearing this since I could hear. If I was more enthusiastic I would be a pastor.

It is organised religion(s), like for example, it is Christianity, that is called the opium of the people, and not empathy and/or compassion, that is pure, true and without faults Ranchhoddas
I only have your word for this.

Religion takes different shapes and forms, has different passions, interest, rituals etcetera, and so football is a religion, ice hockey is a religion, fashion for some is a religion and atheism too funnily enough, as well, is a religion but nobody, not even you Ranchhoddas, can find a fault in empathy and/or with compassion
You don start again ooo.

Tell me, no ambiguity, what religion do you practice?

It is reality Ranchhoddas
Probably. It does not make it any less romantic.

You possibly might get an in into the kingdom. Time is a snitch, let's not worry, time certainly will tell
This reminds of song from the series "Empire"
I don't even believe that the kingdom is real.

I dont seem to understand what this "I dey sorry for even Christmas fowl wey dem wan kill" remark. What's that all about please?
You don't understand pidgin?
You be Ajebutter?

I mean that my empathy is large and cuts across species. I wish I could stop animals from being gruesomely murdered everyday for food.

You can know this from reading about it in the bible. It's written in red and white Ranchhoddas.
Red letter edition?
I'm sure there is a copy somewhere in my house.
There are a lot of things in the Bible that make a person suspicious.
Yesterday I stumbled on Zechariah 8:23. Want to explain it?
Seems to me like another sick for atheists to flog Christians with. I don't think they are aware of it yet.

Rachhhoddas, compassion cuts right through Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, New Age, Heathenism, ATR etcetera
Ditto for wickedness

Tell Ranchhoddas, do you ever ask about someone's belief or unbelief first, before offering them help or assistance?
Do you ever first, ask about someone's belief or unbelief before extending your compassion to them, especially when in time of need?
Do you ask them first before helping, if they are a buddist, muslim, atheist or ATR practioner? No, I dont think you or anyone with the right thinking does. That is what we all are expected to do, an act like that is pure, true and you cant fault it. It is the religion that gives the person practising it, a free pass into the kingdom
What about belief in Jesus?
There are many people on here would disagree with you.

Reading about it in the bible sure is comforting and certainly makes one feel right
Before nko?
Why do you think religion is called the opium of the people?

Guess exactly what Ranchhoddas, just like the word "mouse", the word "religion" too has changed its meaning from what it originally was. It has changed from when it used to be about benevolence, thoughtful consideration and generosity for other people in need. Its changed from when it used to be associated with the word compassion
Religion like every other tool, evolves according to the whims of its controllers.

The positive impacts you made on other people's lives will be a determining factor of where you'll end up
In the end, its not the number of years in your life that count,
it's the number of lives in your years, you positively affected that count.

The lyrics of this hit song released by Fẹla is deep and laden with meaning: "Omi o lọta o. Water e no get enemy"
There is only one true and pure religion in the world that is without fault(s) - its name is empathy
Just like water, empathy e no get enemy.
cc Ranchhoddas
A very romantic sentiment I tell you.

If this is the case na im be say I dey go heaven be that.

I dey sorry for even Christmas fowl wey dem wan kill.

But the question is this:

How do you know this?
Or are you just saying it because it feels right?

My comment was about the mafia sending a member of the family outside the country, irrespective of whether they were involved or not.
Your comment was inaccurate.

Don't be deluded into thinking that Mafias don't involve families. That is just romanticized ethos that have no relation with reality.
You brought up Michael. In Michael's world, families are not touched.

In that same "Godfather", Michael's sister, who was not involved with the mafia was used by the husband, a member of another mafia, to setup Sonny and kill him.
It was treachery. He broke a rule. And he was duly killed by Michael.

The saying that uninvolved families don't get touched is just romanticized nonsense. They get touched everyday, b.

Michael killed two people. In the Mafia their families were not touched even if there was an all out war. They were called civilians. Michael killed "The Turk" and a corrupt cop so he was not innocent anymore.

I second to your take on this issue.

But,I have witnessed girls still jilted after engagement. Engagement isn't a guarantee for marriage, likewise introduction and even printing of wedding invitations.
What if the nigga turns out to be a scumbag and the person who requested for her number but she denied was genuinely gonna walk her the aisle later on?
I like to think that before collecting a person's engagement ring, you must have done an appraisal and determined that this is the person you want to settle down with.
Where do you draw the line?
Even marriage is not guarantee of anything these days so should you give out numbers to random men because of that?
If you are not sure of a man's commitment then don't accept his engagement proposal.

Before you criticize a system make sure you make an effort to become a part of it and observe from within
You people will willingly take student loans , work several jobs etc just to get a degree from Yale , Harvard or some backwater university in the UK where they use the money from African students for their own students.

Stop acting like you have the best interest of the so called poor at heart , you know nothing about how that school is run and when someone who was a part of the system is trying to educate you, you scream nonsense.

Your federal government schools that are affordable for the poor are nothing to write home about . Despite the fact that these schools are funded from taxes generates from the poor an average government universitys merit list has the names of lecturers and politicians kids first before your own children will dream of it.
Despite funding from taxes and it being affordable for the poor we dilapidated structures , overcrowded classrooms and hostels, outdated lecture notes , lecturers who act like gods etc.

Despite being in a third world country that seems to be going backward cannanland and the entire ministry is one of the most structured I have seen in Nigeria.

There has never been power outage in cannanland since it was dedicated in 1999. It doesn't use phcn but internally generated gas power plants unlike your country that has been battling power issues since 1960.

How that church is run still baffles me sometimes, it is an obvious miracle.

It isn't run on taxes which are expected to be regular but on tithes.

You really think everyone pays tithes and offerings.

How many high income earners even attend the church.
Remember tithe is 10% of once a month . unlike many pastors I ha e never seen oyedepo raise seed offering and trust me I have been to many churches where pastors frustrate their members with sowing money for miracles and seed offerings .

Like I said earlier how that church is run without any hitch is a miracle to me. Despite massive looting , yes I said massive looting within the system by members of administration, pastors and those in charge of accounts that church still manages to stand.

Do you know that there was a system set up to give very poor members 50k and 20k (depending on your need ) to start a business of your choice.
Do you know that that initiative was frustrated by fraudulent practises of pastors within the system and many poor people who come back 10 times to collect money with many different stories.

What of the free bus rides provided for church members nko? greedy drivers , greedy pastors destroyed it.

Before you criticize a system be part of it first and see how its run

Before you criticize a man walk a mile in his shoes first and see how it pinches.

I have an assignment for you - as you have taken time out to be a freedom fighter and cry out for the poor I hope you also take out time and money to care for the poor people in your community. Unless you have no case
You don win.
