OAU is full of beast-lecturers and sadists, to me the school is living on old glory and overrated, I fear the school die. I remember an extremely brilliant colleague of mine who finished with distinction at the ND level then got admitted to OAU, he was frustrated all through his degree in OAU. Come down to their office in Oshogbo, but before then, how soon do u need the passport and how do u intend to pay for it? Is it online or u want to pay directly in their office? In my case, I applied and paid online, I only went for capturing in their office. Lastly, are u applying freshly or renewal?

We don't need to make it look like the universities are the ones who messed up Nigeria. If that's true, Nigerians graduates shouldn't be respected in the world.

Firstly, how many students gets funding to carry out quakitiy research projects even at PhD level? How many of the projects carried out has ever been implemented by the government? I still remember that electric vehicles were assembled by a university in Nigeria about 10 years ago.

It's a generic, societal problem where we don't think we can solve our own problems and when our own people bring solutions, we stock them in the library and later replace them with newer ones.

Nigeria does not like development. She only likes lamentations and exportation.

U're right in ur opinion, but the bulk of research utilization for economic development has to be pushed by the universities, charity they say, begins at home. Universities should make it a point of duty to start making things work. Nobody knows what they're doing in their various universities, it is their responsibility to make their works known, probably by creating good platforms that will get some of their best projects across to government agencies, private setups and even international communities. Let them start putting some of those good research works to use first, from there, they will become known to the entire world.

The part that irritates me most is funds for research, of all the researches made in the past, how many of them have those universities themselves made use of? Abi what's the essence of researches made and ending up in the school libraries? I know of someone who had his ND from Federal College of Agrculture Akure, from there, he won scholarship to a University in Costa Rica, where he got his Bachelor's degree. His final year project was amazing that it was funded and being put to use in the field of tree crops (a citrus-harvesting device), from there, another university from US wooed him to come over for his master's degree, he's in the US now. If it's here, such project will not see the light of the day or probably end up in the school library.
