Connected1:Another good reason why a room and parlour won't be a good idea is that it won't be easy to manage the litter. When cages are used, there must be a good drainage underneath the cages that will allow easy packing of the litter (fowl dung), or flushing of the litter frequently. Your best bet is to rent an unused poultry pen, there may be some little capacity pens around you if you can make some findings, that will be better. There are two major types of housing system in poultry. We have : Closed house system - Where all the sides of the poultry building are fully blocked or closed, while the enclosed building is fully climate-controlled and automated. it is used by all these big poultry farms such as Zartech, Agrited, Olam, Globus and so on. Open house system - Here, the four sides of the building is open, no walls. The sides are only covered with chicken nets to confine the birds and allow free flow of air (ventilation). Laying birds can generate lots of heat, coupled with ammonia gas from their litter and the environmental heat, birds need plenty of ventilation in their confinement to get rid of excess heat. A parlour and room won't help that, because they are semi-closed area. I think you get the point now. If you won't be there to monitor the birds yourself or give them the needed attention, please forget about the idea of starting a poultry, don't waste your money. There are lots of intriguing facts I'll like many people to know about poultry farming, these facts are based on many years of getting my hands dirty in the field, there are ups and downs, profits and losses, happy days and sad days, but above all, I can say farming is the way, and remains a goldmine if you go by the rules. Keep asking your questions here, and I'll do my best to answer based on first hand experience. |
Connected1:Ok, it's good you have interest in poultry farming, egg production in particular, I salute you. Now there are things you need to be aware of about poultry farming, and by God's grace, I will expose everything you need to know to you without adding colour. The success and failure of poultry is in management. Everything you will learn will be from my wealth of hands-on experience in the field of animal production. Now to start with, I will not recommend you renting a room and parlour to practise cage system of poultry farming, not even the deep litter system, because it won't be easy to control the Ammonia gas generated by the birds' droppings (poultry dung). Besides, nobody will rent out his or her property to you for such purpose, because the waste from the poultry will surely be a big issue within the neighbourhood, the foul odour will be hard to control, that's why you wont find any serious poultry establishment in a residential area. I will be back here when I return back home in the evening. |
The kind soap wey dem take prepare concoction for this guy no dey discriminate now, Nah WAZOBIA dem take buy d soap. Even if d guy enter Sokoto d seat of Caliphate during dis Ramadan, all d aboki dem go spray am money. The herbalist that finished this guy's work will not make heaven, walahi. |
I have this feeling that all these buying of presidential nomination forms up and down is a plot to deal a big blow on someone. But wait, 1 hundred million naira to buy a sheet of paper that's not even appealing to the sight? |
Tell us what you feel is the most pressing need, give us your strategy on how you're going to meet the needs withing a reasonable time frame, say something about the structure you've put in place to kick-start and have a smooth achievement of the set goals, then may be we can reason with you and give you a chance. Not just saying sweet words to corner us, we are wiser now, enough of propaganda and deceit. |

From that first picture, see how those women behind were stylishly staring at the richest man in Africa, money and women are blood sisters. |
drmuchin:Abi o! see the so called political heavyweights lining up for food like the almajiris, Tinubu is indeed struggling for this seat. He's ready to do anything thrown at him just to become president at all cost. |
The joke dry, make una tell am to put on another show, may be dat one go amuse us, but dis 1? e dry die. |
simpleseyi:That's extreme, no man can determine what fellow man will spend on earth, he only said his opinion which you can counter in a more decent manner. Everybody is entitled to his or her opinion, which may not necessarily go down well with others. Even some may be presented in the most horrible way, yet it doesn't mean it should be countered in a brutal manner. We must all learn to respect others' opinion and treat people with respect. My token. |
As much as I don't too fancy US, to a large extent, it remains the number 1 spot for any Nigerian in terms of opportunities. The only country you can become something out of nothing if you can just give it a little push. I can't imagine a vulcanizer here in Nigeria finding his way to America, only to return few years later as a medical surgeon. He was here in Nigeria and they were calling him from there to give his medical advice over a medical condition. It was like a dream to me. |
Kobojunkie:I totally get your point, let's leave it at that, there's no point taking analgesic on another man's headache. |
Kobojunkie:That's your view to the whole scenario, the OP himself knew what this could bring on her marriage, that's why he's here to seek people's opinion on whether to alert her about the sex tape or not, I responded to your assertions justifying her actions based on the time the sex tape was made public. You may be right with the fact that we process things differently, but I still reiterate, except for coming open to the husband before their marriage about all her previous love affairs, this might be a big issue for her. It may not mean anything to you, but it will mean a lot to many people. |
What amusing news! so reporters were in the bush covering the event when they were clashing, and they were counting them as they were dropping dead? How were they able to identify the commanders among the dead bodies (if there were any)? Where are the photos? and finally, who are the ones fooling & who are the fooled. |
Kobojunkie:I don't say that, but this is the case; - It's either the husband was aware of the sextape during their courtship and there has been a mutual agreement to overlook it and move on. - The lady is aware of the sextape being on the internet, but decides to keep it as a secret to herself and away from her husband, praying he doesn't find out. You can't expect a man to stumble on his wife's sextape on a porn site when the wife has not for once told him about such, and expect the man not to take some crazy actions. Forget about whether the video was posted before or after their wedding, the trust can never be there anymore. 95% of men will not continue in that marriage, even if they manage to move on, there can not be trust again. That's why it's always good to open up in totality to one's partner during courtship, to avoid any future backlash. |
Kobojunkie:My brother, no man can take that, including you sir. It's easier said than done. Millions of people are watching what you paid heavy bride price on, free on the internet? Anyway, if and only if the husband was aware of it before their marriage, otherwise, there's no way it wont be held against her. How do you think the husband's relatives will feel when they accidentally stumbled on the video online? It will even be too shameful for the husband, because if the later gets to know, walking freely in the street becomes difficult, this is Nigeria, not America where no one cares about your lifestyle. |
No limit to greatness in life, you can always attain your goals no matter your circumstance or status. If this woman is still in her marriage as at the time she achieved this, then all thanks to the husband who gave her every support she needs to attain this feat, unlike some devil incarnates who only have passion in killing their wives' potentials, turning them into a punching bag and sniffing life out of them. |

Investing into Agriculture is a brilliant decision, But meeting the right minds to work it out is always the problem. If you wouldn't mind, I will be of great help, because I love it when people show interest in my field, it gives me an impression that I'm not alone in this field. There are a whole lot of areas to venture into, depending on the interest of the investor. One thing I do tell people as an Agriculture expert is that, no line in Agriculture is not profitable, also no line in Agriculture is not capable of ruining a farmer or investor if not handled properly as a business. I can be of help in guiding you through. |
That's a dubious act, a good leader shouldn't be preaching that. We need outstanding leader with an upright heart, who's also God-Fearing and knows what's right from what's wrong. We will not take money from anybody before we chose what's right for us. |
abobote:But the primary two children that can read now can not write SSCE and pass galantly without being registered at special centers where parents pay heavily to have their way in helping their empty-headed kids pass once. What's the essense of the education kids have these days, when they can't defend their University degrees? |
Why do we have many professional SKULLERS in the south west these days? everywhere you turn, they are there, should we now be gagging our heads in chains or cages when walking in the street for the fear of these skull miners ? |
Hmmmn! That time when education was still in its rightful position in Nigeria, unlike now that it's been displaced with all sorts of sharp practices. |
Afamsi:Meaning Daura people think and reason with their anus, you are a bad person. |
National Youth Leader: Good day sir Buhari: Mr Youth Leader, how are you? National Youth Leader: I'm not fine sir, I learnt presidential aspirant will buy nomination form for 100 million naira sir Buhari: How does that affect you? National Youth Leader: Sir, it affects we youths in many ways sir, we have some credible youths who are aspiring too, but this money is outrageous, we can't afford such for nomination form sir Buhari : You know our promise Nah! we are taking everything to the next level, we must fulfill that promise and it must cut across board. By the time we are done, Zimbabwe will be our younger brother. Shebi you never start to dey buy long bread for 5,000 naira, we are going there. |
My president just dey start his own mourning, na today the plane crash? |
I don't know much about hatcheries in Lagos, but there are lots of commercial hatcheries here in Ibadan who can handle that for a good result, provided your geese eggs are fertile and viable. If you have turkey or duck laying eggs for incubation, you can put some of the geese eggs there to incubate and hatch. A duck once incubated and hatched 2 eggs for me, out of 5. One thing is for your geese to lay often, another thing is for them to give you fertile eggs, you need to work on that, very important. |
I was taking this man seriously until this current news release. Now I see that he's not different from the other ones that gave similar words before 2015 election, we will do this, we will do that within 4 years, this is 8 years now, they've brought us back to the medieval age. You can't revive the economy with mouth, it requires a workable plan with a brilliant blueprint of how to go about it, not just swelling voters' head with sugar-coated mouth. |
DILLIONS9:Yes sir, very possible. |
kenny714433:I think I'll love to work with that variety of yam, I am looking at a small scale, like 20 stands of them in a giant sac (50 kg sac). This is not a commercial scale thing, just small scale at the backyard, just to see how it will fair. This variety of yam you're talking about is not common in the southwest. |
kenny714433:Smiles, don't worry, I've never been to the farm before, but I did not study Agriculture on paper, we are all in this together, to really prove your point, you can plant in a sac and plant on the ground, give the same plants equal treatment, make sure you plant on the same type of soil, top soil. Then compare the result at the end of the day. You waiting for the OP's result may not cut it, and it won't be fair to conclude before starting an experiment. There are many factors that can cause stunted tubers at harvest, if all conditions are perfectly met, you'll be amazed with the result. Mind you, with the roots, yam has a wonderful root system that finds its way into the soil, senses where the nutrient is and moves to the direction. We've seen roots finding its way amidst rocky soil, that's root for you. |
